Advantages: got all you need
Disadvantages: none
This is a review of WH Smith in Caerphilly, South Wales.
As WH Smith stores go, this is quite a small one. It maybe small but it has everything you need. It is laid out really well so all the essentials are crammed in but it is still neat and easy to find everything with relevant sections. When you walk in, the tills are in front of you and you are in the stationary section. All the basic necessary stationary can be found including pans, pads, envelopes and folders. Also on the ground floor is all the magazines, cards and things like printer ink.
Upstairs is where the books are. This section is especially well laid out. As it is small, there isn't a wide range of sections but all the popular ones are there and all the best new sellers can be found quite easily and there is a nice size section on cooking.
Upstairs which is a bit of a surprise is a post office. It's a very small post office but a post office none the less. It seems a strange place to have one and it does get a bit disruptive if there is a long queue but generally it is ok. I can't imagine it is great at Christmas though.
Overall, this is a very nice little WH Smith and the only shop that sells books really in Caerphilly apart from the super markets. It's a very handy shop to have in a little town and I hope it manages to stick around.
