Great customer service good value products (WH Smith)

Advantages: I received great service and good value products

Disadvantages: The store was very busy and it was dificult to find quickly what i wanted

I like to concentrate on the type of service you might receive in my reviews and experiences i have had in the past to paint a picture of what experience you might have when visiting the store
I like WH Smiths and when I needed to buy a new cook book the first place I thought I would visit is the Smiths at Cribscauseway in Bristol The store was very busy and there were few staff members visible.
The store was quite well organised and a quick question to a roaming sales assistant put me in the right direction to find the book. I quickly moved to the checkout as busy shops are a real turn off to me and I find my self getting quite stressed out. The girl behind the counter couldn't have been much older than 16 possibly a Saturday job but she gave me a really warm smile that put me at ease. In the brief conversation we had you could tell she really enjoyed the customer interaction which made my customer experience far more enjoyable. When she told me the total for the book it was nearly 5 pounds more than I thought as I picked it up from the bargain shelves. I quickly explained and she offered to walk me to where I found the book.
As we walked through the store the girl was friendly and professional with customer service at the top of her agenda. We found the section and I was wrong it turned out that someone had probably moved the book and dumped it into the bargain section. As I walked back to the till I was ready to pay the full amount but she said for your trouble I will cost the book at what you though the price was and also gave me a further 20 percent off. I have never had such good service from a shop before. There was no argument no getting stressed the girl quickly and efficiently processed my payment and I was leaving the shop before I know it. In conclusion the service I received from Smiths in Bristol was fantastic I would recommend anyone looking for tapes books magazines as they have a really large range to visit the store as if you cant find the product the staff are all to happy to help I would recommend this store to anyone
