... is never nice and when I have been having to go to work at the same time it has been important for me to have lots of medicines to hand to try and get me through the working day. This cough syrup comes provided in a glass bottle with a non child proof cap. Now this isn't a problem for us as our medicine cabinet came complete with a lock on the door in our home so we can keep medicines and cleaning products away from our nieces and nephews when they come to visit. Asda Chesty Cough Syrup: Cheap brands work just as well. (589 words)

I am very prone to getting ill in the winter and my biggest problem is chesty coughs. I hate when I am sitting in public and suddenly you hear by ugly, chesty cough and everyone looks at me as if I smoke too much. I had a lot of lung and chest problems when I was younger, and this is what causes me to catch colds and flu way too easily. I am entitled to a free Flu jab because of my chest condition, but I am so scared of needles that I couldn't put myself through it. I normally wouldn't have picked up an own-brand medicine, but I was going through such a hard time financially, I decided to buy a cheap one until I could get to he doctors. You can buy the ...  Read the complete review

Excellent Cheap Cough Syrup (708 words)

Whenever I am suffering from a cold I always end up with a cough to go with it and it always ends up being a chesty one. I think having whooping cough when I was young means I am prone to getting the chesty cough rather than the tickly one. After watching a programme several months ago about medicines and the ingredients in them I learnt that the own brand drugs are just as good, if not batter than the named ones. Therefore I had no problem in buying the Asda own brand cough medicine. The medicine comes in a 300ml bottle which is made from glass and a very dark brown colour. There is a white screw top on the bottle but this is not child proof. The label on ...  Read the complete review

Asda Chesty Cough Syrup: My chesty cough was relieved thanks to this! (682 words)

Recently I have had the works...! A bad cough, sore chest, sore throat, painful ears, runny nose etc. As we have just got ourselves a mortgage we've got enough outgoings as it is without me spending a fortune on expensive medicines and products. When I needed some cough syrup recently I sent my husband off to Asda to buy me some, as he had to go to a shop next door anyway, and he brought me home this 300ml Asda chesty cough syrup. This syrup comes in a 300ml bottle and costs £2.47 making it fantastic value compared to 100ml of Lemsip chesty cough syrup at £3.69 and 150ml of Benylin mucus cough syrup at £4.27. As money is super important to us for the next few months as ..  Read the complete review

Stop the chest rattling? (439 words)

Before christmas everyone in my house had a cough and we all had it for weeks, I ended up getting fed up of being up coughing all night and so when I went into our local Asda store I decided to see what I could get to help me out. The medicine comes in a 300ml bottle and it costs about £2.50 which I don't think is bad value when you compare it to the price of the likes of Benylin. The medicine comes in a brown bottle which is made of glass, I personally would think plastic would be better to make a bottle of medicine out of incase it is dropped, the top is a white screw top which is childproof. On the front of the bottle there is a label which is white and ...  Read the complete review

Asda Chesty Cough Syrup: Cough syrup that doesn't help with your cough! (342 words)

I recently had a cough - as everyone seems to have at the moment - and I've been going through cough syrup like water! One such cough syrup I've used is Asda Chesty Cough Syrup which has been in my cupboard for a while and I found it one night when I'd run out of the Benilyn I'd been using. The medicine comes in a glass bottle and contains 300mls of the syrup solution. It has a screw cap which is easy to remove and replace, but unfortunately the lid area does get pretty grubby and sticky once you have poured the syrup from it once or twice - although you can hold it under the tap to keep it clean! There are directions on the back of the bottle and also in a leaflet that .  Read the complete review
