Asda Paracetamol Caplets
Advantages: Effective, cheap, easy to swallow
Every since having my daughter 2 years ago, my monthly period has been awful, not only has my flow got heavier (sorry for tmi!) but the aches and pains that come with it have increased in severity. With this, means that my medicine cupboard is full of different pain killers. One pain killer that I've been using recently, is there paracetamol caplets from Asda.
----- Packaging -----
These caplets come in a cardboard box, inside this box is also a piece of paper with all the information you may need about these paracetamol. The caplets come in two layers, 8 caplets on each one and are easy to squeeze out of each individual spot.
----- Useful information -----
A packet of 16 caplets will currently set you back 19p, please be aware that Asda will only let you purchase two packets at a time.
The recommended dosage for these 1 or 2 every 4 hours, but no more than 8 in 24 hours for anyone over the age of 12. Most paracetamols have the same dosage.
----- Opinion -----
I don't find it difficult taking tablets unless they really are huge, therefore, these are very easy to swallow. I think the shape of these do help them go down a little easier and if you do find it a little hard taking tablets I would definitely buy these opposed to Asda's normal round tablets that are a couple of pence cheaper.
I've had a recent spell of toothache and after taking a couple of these, I have found that the pain does subside after around 20-30 minutes. This then keeps me pain free for a good few hours, and only have to put up with the pain for 30-60 minutes before I can take the next dose and do it all over again.
These caplets also help ease my period pains in the same way as before. I've found that they are effective with headaches as well. It seems like these are the generic own brand paracetamol caplets as I've also had Tesco's version and they've worked in exactly the same way too.
At 19p, why go and purchase a named paracetamol when it does exactly the same as these? They are effective, easy to swallow and cheap!
Summary: Fantastic paracetamol
