I was offered this medicine by my Pharmacist at my local Boots when I went there complaining of a very persistent chest infection. Having also been described antibiotics, I needed something that would help to relieve my cough and this worked wonders. While my cough was chesty and was producing mucus, my body wasn't always bringing any up, therefore coughing became painful and ultimately, pointless.

The ingredients in this medicine however, acted as an expectorant which broke down the phlegm that was building up in my lungs and enabled me to cough more productively. This drained most of the excess mucus from my lungs, espcially at night when my cough became much worse. I can't say that it cured my cought but it definitely helped me at times when I would find myself in fits of coughing i.e. before bedtime and after having laid flat.

The taste was completely bearable too and the thickness of the mixture soothed my throat and lungs almost instantly. I would definitely recommend this medicine for chest infections and coughs which are phlegmy and persistant, especially for those which get worse at night.
