So I'm sitting down about to dig into my lunch but on stuffing my face, I feel a stinging sensation at one particular spot on the inside of my lips. "Bugger, a mouth ulcer" usually crosses my mind. So what are mouth ulcers? They are a break in the mucous membrane, which lines the inside of the mouth. They are usually yellow or white in colour, round with an outline of red, and sizes vary but have something in common. They're often a pain in the arerrmouth. They are sometimes painful to the point that they make you shed a tear. After seeing TV commercials for Bonjela, which claimed to relieve pain from mouth ulcers, I thought this to be the only ...  Read the complete review

The problem Ugh, mouth ulcers. As if having a cold isn't unpleasant enough, along come these annoying and painful little sores, as if you needed reminding that you're really run down. Alternatively, you might have sores from rubbing braces, or dentures... or you might need pain relief for a teething baby. The product Fortunately, bonjela is here to help. It's a clear, thick gel (a little bit like hair gel in texture) that comes in a blue metal tube. You put a small amount (the size of a tiny pea) on your finger and apply it topically to the sore area. Chemical agency Active ingredient cetalkonium ...  Read the complete review

Crowned Review Bonjela: Soothing my poor mouth! (651 words)

I've come down with a rather painful mouth ulcer, I suffer from them occasionally but this one is the worst I have ever had. The ulcer is quite large and is extremely sore, it's situated in the crease where my gum meets the inside of my cheek so is constantly painful as I cannot possibly keep my mouth perfectly still to avoid moving the ulcer. I usually simply treat ulcers with ice cubes and lots of icy drinks, but this one has tried my patience for so long that yesterday I went into the chemist and bought a tube of Bonjela as I know from past experience that the original Bonjela works far better than any ulcer cream or gel that has been made specifically for ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review This is not edible! (519 words)

This handy little product is ideal for many uses and definitely one to have in the house! Get ulcers? sore teeth? sore gums? baby teething? this is ideal for you! Bonjela comes in the famous blue box, which has had its packaging updated slightly over the years, but had remained faithful to the original design of the packaging. The box is about 12cm long and about 4cm thick, so very transportable. The box itself isn't that great at protecting the tube, so one to throw away really. Bonjela tube is made of bendy metal, I am sure there is a better word for it than that, but that is what I am calling it. The tube is 15g and tends to last a ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bonjela: bonjela that ulcer. (452 words)

You have probably seen adverts on the television about ulcers and teething and the wonder-gel, bonjela that comes on with its fast acting soothing to help relieve pains that you get in your mouth. Bonjela is meant to help relieve pain and fight infection in the mouth caused by denture sores, ulcers and teething. I think bonjela has been around for some time now, a good 15 years because I remember using it when my daughter was teething and she is almost 16. How to use: To use bonjela, I'd first recommend that you wash your hands first becase you are going to be putting your fingers in your mouth. You then unscrew the lid from the tube and squeeze out ...  Read the complete review
