Bonjela not great for teething pain (Bonjela)

Advantages: good if you can get it to stay put

Disadvantages: slips around the mouth and does not stay where you need it to

I have a teething little boy, who is going through a tough time with his poor painful gums. When he was old enough to use the Bonjela oral gel I soon used it to help his poor sore gums. We had some in the cupboard from when my wisdom teeth were causing me sore gums, and also I went through a spell of having alot of mouth ulcers. I used to find it ok, but when using it again to help my babies teething pain, I found it to be an absolute nightmare. The gel would not stick in place in his mouth. No matter what I tried I just could not get the gel to stay in the area that it was needed in. So for that reason I would not recommend it for thing pain. It comes in a 15g tube , and is suitable from the age of 4 months for teething babies, but take it from me it is not worth even trying!!
