From time to time I tend to get tiny little ulcer type sores on the side of my tongue. Generally a little rinse with a good mouthwash and or a rinse with some salted water and the problem is resolved. However there are the odd occasions where this tried and trusted method has failed and I usually just live with the ulcers and they go away ... Read the complete review

After complaining about the pain my wisdom teeth were causing me by swelling up my gums, a colleage recommended I try some Bonjela. "Surely that's what you give to babies for teething!" I said! Apparently not, as after inspecting the packaging, this is also used for mouth ulcers and denture sores so I thought I'd give it a go ... Read the complete review

I've come down with a rather painful mouth ulcer, I suffer from them occasionally but this one is the worst I have ever had. The ulcer is quite large and is extremely sore, it's situated in the crease where my gum meets the inside of my cheek so is constantly painful as I cannot possibly keep my mouth perfectly still to avoid moving the ... Due to my love of 'Bonjela' as a child, I used to actually look forward to getting a mouth ulcer - the tangy and unusual flavour was right up my street! Nowadays, I no longer find the blue-tubed wonder-stuff that fascinating - although every time I get an ulcer, it's usually accompanied by a wave of nostalgia. Although you've probably ... Bonjela is a must have for any first aid box! For 15g it costs around £2.50. It is used to soothe mouth ulcers or sore spots in the mouth and fight any infection present. The outer packaging is a deep blue cardboard box with "Bonjela" written in white in the middle adding contrast, which does look very attractive, and as it's ... Read the complete review

Say the word bonjela and your mind conjures up images of a product aimed at teething babies. Right? Okay most of you will probably know that it can be used by adults too for mouth ulcers etc. I bought some recently and my friend excitedly asked if I was pregnant and was I 'stocking up' on baby items?..Er no, I just have a painful blister on the ... Bonjela is an age old relief for mouth ulsers and sores which can also be used to help ease the pain of a toddler going through the teething process. There are a few products in my medicine drawer which I'd never be without including Calpol, Vick & Bonjela which I've relied upon over the years since having my (now grown up) daughters. My diet totally changes during the summer months; winter comfy food is replaced by juicy summer fruits and instead of a nice cup of tea I'm drinking lemon juice all day long. All these acidic fruits and of course the sour lemon juice usually cause some really painful mouth ulcers till I'm used to this change of diet. Call me whiny but I ... Read the complete review

I don't tend to suffer to often from mouth ulcers but when I do, they tend to be in the most awkward places and (I don't know if it just feels like it), they seem to be massive and very painful. My usual treatment is to cut back on the sugar and to slap on some bonjela to help soothe the pain so when my latest flare up appeared I went ... Read the complete review

I love eating sweets, but they don't always like me. What do I mean? Well, sometimes the acidity or sugar in sweets will cause abrasions, ulcers, lumps and sores to appear in my mouth. Of particular annoyance are the ones on the top of my mouth, which get sorer with every breath I take in. In the day, I lick them a lot (sounds nasty I ... Read the complete review

Children are notorious for sticking things that they shouldn't into their mouths whether it is pens, pencils, fingers, paint brushes pretty much everything really. They are also equally guilty of eating things too quickly which often results in them either biting their tongues or the sides of their cheeks. I have lost count of the number of times ... I am currently suffering from my first ulcer, and after using bonjela, it had no effect. On the tube, the gel promises to freeze the ulcer, and numb it. However, i felt no freezing sensation, and my ulcer still painfully remains.
#The Packaging#
The packaging is in a blue box with a tube inside containing the bonjela gel. It is a 15g tube and looks very presentable for the buyer.
My results are however not fully accurate as i have only used the gel once, although there was still no freezing involved and the ulcer is still there.

Let me tell you one thing. Having braces sucks. Some of you may already know this, but when you have brace, you tend to get a heck of a lot of mouth ulcers, what with them rubbing against the sides of your mouth all day and night.
