Advantages: None really.

Disadvantages: In a nutshell, they dont work!

I have just finished writing a review on Day & Night Nurse and went to my inbox to find that my product suggestion for this had been approved...needless to say, the reason I bought Day & Night Nurse in the first place was because this product was so shi...rubbish. This will be a very quick review, as there isn't much to say on this product!

**What is it?**

Sunday when I felt like I was swallowing razor blades my boyfriend very kindly nipped out to boots to get my something to ease my throat. I thought he might come back with honey or something similar, instead he came back with these. They are lozenges (blackcurrant flavour) which according to the packet, fight infection and are a effective relief from sore throat pain. It also states that it "contains an antiseptic which combats the bacteria that can cause sore throats and has a local anaesthetic action which brings soothing relief of pain and discomfort".

There are 24 lozenges included and like day and night nurse these are in two packs. The lozenges itself are thick penny sized and purple, the pack tells me to suck one lozenge until it disolves slowly in the mouth and to repeat this dose every 3 hours if needed. The maximum of 12 lozenges are allowed in a 24 hour period.

**Did it work?**

Well, I did as it said and popped one of these purple things in my mouth. Firstly, they taste awful, yes it does sort of taste like blackcurrent, but with a whiff of something minty, and medicinal..I can't quite describe it! The hard shell is quite tough to suck anyway, and even worse when you have a sore throat and cant really swallow easily! It took me a while to get through it but eventually it dissolved.

After 1 hour, my hopes of having a pain-free throat had also dissolved however. There is nothing else I can say but these just dont work! At all. Full stop. No pain relief, they taste nasty, they arent good if you cant swallow....errr yes they just arent great. They are cheap though...Id give that one star, but Id like to take it away again as they are so ineffective that even spending a couple of quid on this is a waste!

Summary: Don't bother, ask the pharmacy for something else!
