I have been using a packet of these, which are black cherry flavour but you can also buy these in other flavours. They have done a fairly good job but don't seem to be anything special. They come in large boxes full of 24 lozenges at a price of £1.65, which isn't too bad as it works out at under 7p a lozenge.

They are antiseptics and local anaesthetics for the throat. They help by fighting infection and giving relief from sore throat pain. They do a pretty good job but I wouldn't rate them too highly. You can get them in several flavorus:

Black Cherry
Honey & Lemon
Cherry
Blackcurrant
Orange & Menthol

I have only ever tried the Black Cherry and Blackcurrant ones, which both have a nice flavour and seem to do the same job. They contain hexylresorcinol as well as sucrose, glucose, flavouring, menthrol and carmoisine (E122). You should take one dose every 3 hours and suck it fully until it dissolves.

They come in the box in drug trays and you can easily pop them out from underneath through the foil. The black cherry flavour I currently have taste quite nice but the menthol flavour is quite overpowering too. They are hard on the outside with a smooth texture and they don't contain any liquid inside so you slowly dissolve them down to nothing. They do help to soothe your throat and make it feel better but the effects aren't perfect. They help to clear your nose a bit too, which is a good bonus so I'd recommend them for the price they come at.
