If I remember correctly they cost in the region of £2.40, which is about £1.50 cheaper than similar branded sore throat lozenges, and because they are so effective I think this is a very reasonable price to pay. CONCLUSION:- I found Boots Sore Throat Relief Dual Action Lozenges to work very well, they relieved the soreness in my throat and enabled me to carry on as normal. I...more

I have been suffering with a bit of a cold recently and along with the usual symptoms of a runny nose, headache and the sniffles, I have had a sore throat with it feeling tender, dry and inflamed. I wanted to buy some sort of soothing medication, so headed off to my local branch of Boots to see what was available. I made several purchases, one of which was the "Boots Sore Throat Relief Dual Action Lozenges" which were available to buy in a choice of three or so flavours, including Honey & Lemon. I selected the Cherry flavour, and this review outlines my experiences of using the product. I paid around £2.50 for the oblong box of ...  Read the complete review

With colds come sore throats and if I had to choose the worst symptom of a cold I would pick a sore throat any day. They are incredibly uncomfortable and actually quite frustrating and when I have a sore throat I head straight towards my medicine cabinet or medicine aisle to find the throat lozenges in order to have a little relief. I have tried various brands in a variety of flavours but whilst in Boots stocking up a few months ago I opted for their own version which are known as the Boots Sore Throat Relief Lozenges. I opted for the cherry flavour being a favourite flavour of mine. They can be found in the medicine aisle in Boots next to the other leading ...  Read the complete review

Boots Sore Throat Relief Lozenges Cherry Flavour: Sweet Relief for Sore Throats (523 words)

I suffer from seasonal sore throats at least twice a year and also regularly during the summer due to my hayfever. I've used a variety of cough sweets and lozenges to try and make my throat more comfortable, but I find these so expensive for what they are. I decided to opt with a box of Boots own brand sore throat relief lozenges as I felt that they would be just as good as any better known brand but at a cheaper price. I was also drawn to the fact that these came in cherry flavour - a particular favourite of mine. The lozenges come in a small purple-red box, with two plastic foil sealed trays within. Each separate throat sweet can then be popped through ...  Read the complete review

WHY I BOUGHT THIS PRODUCT:- I started suffering with a sore throat the other day which is something that I don't get on a regular basis. There were no signs of a cold, just a strong discomfort in my throat, so I went to Boots to get something that would give a bit of relief. I have bought Strepsils in the past, but they didn't have the ones that I normally use - the extra strength ones. There were a variety of different brands of lozenges but I decided to try the Boots Black Cherry ones as I find that Boots own label products are often just as effective as more expensive brands and these seemed to be very similar to ...  Read the complete review

Boots Sore Throat Relief Lozenges Cherry Flavour: Cherries to soothe my sore throat (421 words)

I use a lot of different types of lozenges for sore throats, coughs and colds for myself and my family, especially over the winter months. One of these has been Boot's own brand Sore Throat Relief Lozenge in cherry flavour. Last time I bought these I managed to get them on a three for two offer and I ought them with the points I already had on my Advantage card. To buy them, I'd have to pay £1.99 for a pack of 24 tablets. This compares very favourably with the likes of Strepsils Lozenges and Boots is a brand I trust so I'm happy to pay the price. Looks-wise, they actually do look very similar t the Strepsils boxes of throat lozenges, I also buy. The come ...  Read the complete review
