I wouldn't like to think how much money I have spent on calpol over the years but it has worked miracles when my children have had temperatures, ear aches, headaches etc. They are now older but still a way off from being able to swallow adult paracetamol tablets and for anyone that has tasted paracetamol they will know how horrible it tastes - especially to a child used to the sweet taste of liquid calpol. However the older they have got the less they seem to need calpol and when I carry the sachets around in my bag they tend to get squashed and ripped by the time I need to use them - these fastmelts are much more portable than the liquid sachets and can ... As a parent there is nothing more upsetting than when you child is not well. I have been using Paracetamol suspension for my children for years when they had headaches or a raised temperature. However they have both got to an age where they were taking up to 20ml of mixture so the bottle was not lasting long! I wanted a slightly more "grown -up" solution for them but wasn't too keen on them trying to swallow the adult tablets and I would have had to cut them in half to get my sons dose.
