Advantages: Eliminates colic
Disadvantages: Time consuming to administer very expensive
When I had my daugher I had already invested in colic bottles and infercol and even gripe water.
I couldnt use the gripe water for the first few months infercol was not working and the colic free bottles didnt seem to want to work either. After an agonising two weeks with my daughter screaming I visited my doctor who gave me a prescription for colief drops.
When reading the leaflet the best way to use the drops was to put two in a bottle when it was at room temprature and you had to make a fresh bottle and not refridgerate them everytime your child needed to be fed. I was so used to pre making the bottles that I found it very pain saking to make a fresh bottle each time but it was better than the screaming. I was adding two drops to each bottle and they did work. I had to use them for quiet a few weeks when I ran out of the drops I wasnt able to get to the doctors so I decided to buy them over the pharmacy counter they cost £10 and it is such a small bottle and doesnt last very long at all.
I returned to the doctor and explained this and they gave me a prescription for 3 bottles by the time that these ran out she was able to take her bottles without suffering colic. If you are on a low income your doctor will be able to give you the free prescriptions if you have to pay for your prescriptions I suggest that you pay the prescription charge of £7 saves you £3 and you may even still get them for free because they are for the child and they should qualify seek your doctors help before paying so much for this product yes it worked for me and I think that it is great I cant say that it would work for everyone and if they dont work it is alot of money down the drain.
Summary: They worked for me but very overpriced
