When I had my daugher I had already invested in colic bottles and infercol and even gripe water. I couldnt use the gripe water for the first few months infercol was not working and the colic free bottles didnt seem to want to work either. I was going mad. a two week old baby that would cry cry cry from approximately 4pm until 9/10pm she just wouldn't bring up her wind. I had tried Infacol which did work a little but still wasn't doing the trick. I tried Dentinox and that wasn't doing the job so I had a look on the internet and found colief infant drops I read a couple of reviews ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Colief - Not as good as you're told (763 words)
by - written on 29/01/09 (Very useful, 809 readings)
Rating:

I really despise these drops and the way they are marketed. Firstly, Colief is targeted at parents whose babies have colic. Now if you have never been through this, you will have no idea what it is like to have to listen to your newborn child scream seemingly in unbearable agony for hours on end. You will be beside yourself, distressed and wishing ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Expensive and didn't work for us (159 words)
by - written on 20/11/08 (Very useful, 380 readings)
Rating:

My daughter had terrible colic, my aunty reccomended these drops. Firstly, they are very expensive £10 from Boots for such a tiny bottle that only last 4 days. Secondly - they aren't very baby friendly. They need to be put in a bottle half an hour before it is given to the baby. Baby's don't understand waiting for food, when they are ...  Read the complete review

We had this reccommended to us by a friend who said that it was very expensive but she would have paid £100 a bottle as it was a miracle cure. With my first son he had never had colic but this time around my 2nd son was showing all the classic signs of colic, the screaching, pulling the knees up etc so i thought right lets give this stuff a go as ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Worked wonders for our little man! (264 words)
by - written on 14/10/08 (Very useful, 536 readings)

After trying the cheaper brands of colic aids such as infacol and gripe water we decided to give Colief a try. Although I was reluctant at first given it costs £9.99 for a tiny bottle, we were being driven mad by the constant crying and screaming and figured £10 is a small price to pay to stop our little man's pain and to save our ...  Read the complete review

My son has suffered with colic from the age of 3 weeks, we tried all the usual treatments, Infacol, gripe water, Dentinox, and we changed his milk to Aptamil easy digest, all with no improvement. My health visitor then suggested that I try Colief drops, I was at my wits end so would have tried anything that may have helped to stop the ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Colief
by Lisa - written on 30/06/08
Rating:

As a second time mum to a baby with colic I would say ignore all of the other products on the market as this really works. You need to be a bit more organised in preparing feeds in advance but it is definitely worth the effort. I saw an improvement in a day and like most babies she has an unsettled time in the early evening but it now only lasts for 30 minutes and she settles easily after her 6.30pm feed with no need for rocking! I didn't use it with my first daughter and only wished I had as it would have saved me and my husband so many hard nights. The expense is definitely worth it.

It is a misconception that doctors can prescribe Colief for colic. Colief can only be prescribed for a baby if they have proven lactose intolerance. This involves having tests.

Colief - End to Screaming Baby and Sleepless Nights (228 words)

We were struggling with our first baby who has bad colic. Due to the pain he wanted to breastfeed constantly which probably made matters worse and of course knackered me. Our health visitor mentioned that some of her Mums had used Colief with some success unlike other brands which were next to useless. We were warned of the expense and at £9.99 a ...  Read the complete review

Firstly I should say that I don't have shares in this company! As a first time mum I was struggling with a baby with colic who wouldn't stop screaming. My friend was given this product on prescription by her GP but it is available in chemists or the company will post worldwide if you order online. I add 2 drops of colief to each bottle ...  Read the complete review

We have had three children in the past who have never sufferd from colic, but our new baby boy has been hit bad with colic, and as a parent I can say that hearing your baby cry to colic, is one of the worst things ever, you feel so useless, nothing you do seems to help your baby. Me and my wife were at wits end, untill our midwife told us about ...  Read the complete review

Having suffered for 3 months from the torment of colic with my son 3 years ago I was upset to find that we were in the same boat again with our baby daughter now 7 weeks old. Then my Health Visitor recommended a new product on the market called Colief. It comes in small 7ml bottles and you add 2 drops to your babys formula feed 4 hours before ...  Read the complete review
