I had had a sore throat for a couple of weeks and after putting off going to see anyone about it I finally decided that being so tired all the time from lack of sleep just wasn't worth it. I reluctantly dragged myself to the pharmacy and was thrilled when they gave me the Difflam Spray calling it 'the perfect solution!'

To use the Difflam Spray all you had to do was aim the long tube at the sore parts of your throat and push down the plunger. For adults the recommended dose was 4-8 puffs every 1 ½ - 3 hours, children aged 6 - 12 had 4 puffs every 1 ½ - 3 hours and children under the age of 6 had 1 puffs for every 4 kilograms of body weight. I found it easily applied and although was rather nervous about spraying something at the back of my throat it felt quite gentle and did not discomfort me.

Once applied I felt the back of my throat and my tongue go numb for a few seconds which was expected after reading the instructions but other than this small change I did not feel that it had reduced any pain in any way. I continued to use it for about a week with no improvement. Thoroughly disappointed by my expectations of it being 'the perfect solution' I then went on to other means of medication and quickly recovered.

Sadly I would not recommend this product to anyone suffering from sore throats as its rather expensive for something that is not very affective. It could however be more affective to less severe cases of sore throats but from my experience I wouldn't say that this product is worth purchasing.
