Advantages: Worked really quickly

The other day I had bad indigestion symptoms and it was making me feel uncomfortable. I did not have any of my Gaviscon liquid left but luckily my other half had bought some of these Gaviscon peppermint flavour tablets for himself so had them in his pocket.
The tablets come in a box and then inside the box you get a blister pack which you can push the tablets out of and keep the rest fresh and sealed up. They tell you to take one or two tablets so I decided to take two of them.
The pain I was getting was a nasty pain in my chest and I was getting the hot feeling coming up my throat and was finding it hard to swallow a drink. I took two of these tablets and chewed on them. They broke up quickly in my mouth and the smaller bits dissolved quickly and I found it easy to swallow this down. I found it immediately stopped the burning sensation in my throat and within about five or ten minutes it started to ease the pain in my chest too. Within about half an hour I was feeling fine again so I was really pleased we had some of these tablets on hand.
The tablets work by forming a protective layer on the top of your stomach. This then stops the stomach acid from working its way up your food pipe which gives you the pain of indigestion. It seemed like a miracle how quickly it worked for me.
You need to be at least 16 to be able to buy these tablets from a shop. If your symptoms do not get better after a couple of days you should see you doctor. You should also ask your doctor whether it is safe to take these if you have underlying medical conditions or you are already taking other medication.
You can currently buy these tablets in Boots for £4.07 for a pack of 32 tablets.
