My poor little boy developed his first ever cold when he was 10 weeks old. If you have children you will know that there is nothing worse than your poor little baby being poorly and not being able to take it away from them. I was quite lucky with Rhys as he was a little soldier, he was a little bit under the weather for a couple of days but then he seemed to perk up. The only thing he then had left was a bunged up nose. This only really affected Rhys when he was feeding, as a small baby does not know to breathe through their mouth in between gulps of milk, so Rhys just tended to stop breathing and then panic!!! They don't sleep as they either have a blocked nose causing them discomfort or a runny nose causing a cough every time they lay on their backs. Here are some tips for other mothers out there. They have worked for me so I hope they work for you. 1. Give your child a nice warm bath before bedtime. Shut the bathroom door and put some Karvol drops into some hot water. The fumes will help to clear the airways. 2. After the bath dry your child off well and get them dressed up nice and warm perhaps putting some vics on their chest. 3. Before ... I can remember as a child really loving the smell of Karvol, and when Jack gets the snuffles its the first thing I reach for. I know that buying them in capsule form are more expensive than in the small bottle, but feel for convenience sake its easier, plus also I feel that once the bottle is opened it tends to loose its strength, and most of it ends up on the outside of the bottle anyway. It helps to clear blocked up noses and congestion which can lead to un-settled nights (And we all know about that !) Each capsule contains aromatic oils - pine, cinnamon and menthol and the vapours help your baby/child breathe more easily. They can be used from 3 months ... Read the complete review

When I was little and got a cold or blocked up nose my mum used to put these on the pillow just before we went to bed and every morning we were able to breath properly. When I had children of my own and they got cold I used to put them on there clothes not to near the face mind. They have a powerful smell which could unblock any nose but unlike vicks or snuffle babe where the smell fades after a couple of hours karvol can still be smelt the next day . I would only recommened using these on a night time as they do have a strong smell. you may get some odd looks off people wondering what that smell is. Karvol come in a capsule which you cut the top off ... Read the complete review
