It is never nice having a cold especially when the day has to continue as normal. We'd all like to sink beneath the duvet and recover in the warm. Unfortunately life isn't so kind and it has to carry on. Therefore, we tend to take as much as possible in form of relief to help us get through the day but then of course you get to the night knowing your probably in for a long night. For me, there is one product I can rely on. That product happens to be Night Nurse Capsules. I have tried and tested numerous cold and flu capsules over the years but for me getting a good night sleep when suffering from a horrid cold is Night Nurse. You can get Day Nurse capsules too ... I find this very useful if I have a cold and need a good night's sleep. Night Nurse Capsules are designed to be taken just before bed to suppress cold and flu symptoms and let you get a good night's sleep. Normally bought over the counter or from a pharmacist, they come in a blue and green card packet, with the capsules inside blister packs inside it. The packet is perfectly sized to tuck into a bag or if necessary a pocket, but this isn't really a product you need to use while out and about since it exists to make you sleep. Dosage is very simple: Two tablets just before bedtime with a glass of water, adults only and not to be taken by under ... Read the complete review

In the last few years, I've only been ill and unable to sleep due to this a few times, but during those times, I've used Night Nurse Capsules to great effect, and I consider them to be a strong, hard-working medicine when colds, coughs and flu-like symptoms are keeping me awake. These capsules are designed to fight a range of symptoms, but mainly headaches, runny noses, coughs, aches and pains, fever and pain from a sore throat, according to the box. I paid £3.99 for my box of 10 capsules, which I thought was a lot, but I had had them recommended by a friend and decided to use them only when absolutely necessary! The green and blue box is simple and ... Read the complete review

Night Nurse is used to relieve cold and flu symptoms and works in helping you sleep and rest at a time when this is massively important for recovery and your immune system. Night Nurse contains paracetamol, promethazine which is a mild sedative and dextromethorphan a cough suppressant, so with these three ingredients the product eases pain, helps you sleep and stops you coughing and spluttering, or that is the theory behind these three powerful substances. Over the years I have varied which products I use, ranging from simple aspirin to new fangled cold and flu sachets to traditional remedies like this, I have found they all seem to have similar ... Night Nurse Recently I have had quite a nasty cough and cold and because of the cough was getting very little uninterrupted sleep, so when someone suggested this, I was quick to buy it. The product is available in both liquid and capsule form- I opted for the latter costing £3.49 for 10. WHAT DO THEY DO? These are for the relief of the symptoms of colds and flu, including: * tickly cough * shivers aches and pains * runny nose * sore throat pain * headache By relieving these symptoms, the theory is that you get a good sleep, which sounds good to me! The active ingredients work to lessen the ... Read the complete review
