Being a student it is expected that nights are to consist of drinking and debauchery. Whilst this may be preferable for some I desire to be in bed by 11pm! Unfortunately my body doesn't agree with me and refuses to descend into the land of sleep until the early hours of 3 or 4am. I have always craved to be one of those people who can get 8 hours no problem and wake up bright eyed and bushy tailed. My sleep pattern has never been regular but I have decided that new year new me so it was time to iron out all flaws in my life.

I had tried everything to regulate my sleep pattern, starting with diet and exercise. I made sure I was eating a varied diet, didn't eat after 7pm and exercised during the day to make sure I was both physically and mentally tired by the time came to hit the hay. This worked to some extent yet it still took me a few hours to drop off.

I have always been apprehensive about using drugs to combat ailments due to the body coming accustomed to the drug. Even when I have a banging headache I will stave off the pain killers and instead just wait it out. As exam season came upon me I needed something that would guarantee a restful nights sleep so I turned to Nytol.

You can buy Nytol from any good drugstore I bought mine from Boots pharmacy counter for £3.12. You get 16 tablets per box and you are meant to take two tablets 20 minutes before going to bed. Initially I wanted to buy the "one a night" Nytol capsules but the phamacist at the counter suggested I try the two a night first. I can only assume that the two a night capsules contain a lower dosage.

So the time came to take the tablets - like with all drugs always read the instructions before use - I took them with a little water and got into bed. I drifted off into a deep sleep really easily and in the morning I felt rejuvenated and refreshed. The product did exactly what it said it would and the sleep certainly benefited me and my performance in my exams!

It was definitely worth the money for a decent nights sleep but I would deem this product as a rare purchase and to only be used in real times of need. Also the cost can really mount up on this product if you are buying it frequently as one packet only gives 8 nights of sleep.

This product is by no means a cure for insomnia but it can help you get back into a regular sleep cycle. You must always bear in mind that the sleep is drug induced and you must take other measures your life in order to make the changes to your sleep pattern permanent.
