Advantages: Cheaper than other brands

Disadvantages: smell, don't work!

I have had difficulties sleeping since about November and had had enough so my Dad sent me some of these tablets to try and help me sleep better. As a student I don't really have a fixed routine, so I thought I would give it a go on an evening where I don;t have lectures the next day- just in case! I didn't want to take full on sleeping pills as I didn't want to get dependent on them, so thought I would give these herbal ones a go.

The tablets contain hops, valerian and passion flower, all of which are natural sedatives, set to induce sleep, and valerian is supposed to also have calming qualities. This blend however, makes the tablets smell disgusting, which did put me off taking them. However I did do so- but I wold advise washing your hands quickly after, as it leaves the smell on your fingers!

I took the tablets an hour before bedtime as advised on the box. About an hour and a half later I did feel quite relaxed but not sleepy at all. I tried to sleep regardless, but ended up probably sleeping even worse than I usually do. I even woke up earlier than usual!!

I have taken these tablets since and they haven't proven to do anything for helping me sleep any of the times; I don't even feel drowsy at all, jut slightly more relaxed if anything.

So if you are looking for a herbal aid to sleep I would recommend going somewhere else!
