One of the worst things about having a cold is being 'bunged up' and not being able to breath and this always seems to get worst just before you go to bed. My mum always uses Olbas oil for these occasions. One day I thought I would give it a go too. Olbas oil is a mixture of pure essential plant oils : Caluput, Clove, Eucalptus Juniperberry, Mint and Wintergreen. You can use it to inhale as a decongestant either by dabbing it on a tissue or adding to boiling water and inhaling the steam, but be careful you don't scold yourself . A bottle of Olbas oil is always knocking around somewhere in our house. Either on the bedside table, in a pocket or occasionally where it should be, in the medicine cabinet. The reason it turns up all over the place is twofold. 1. It is incredibly useful! 2. We are very bad at putting stuff away. Primarily it's a decongestant but it has lots of other uses too.
