Advantages: helps you breath and sleep well, keeps well

Disadvantages: none

One of the worst things about having a cold is being 'bunged up' and not being able to breath and this always seems to get worst just before you go to bed.
My mum always uses Olbas oil for these occasions.
One day I thought I would give it a go too.
Olbas oil is a mixture of pure essential plant oils : Caluput, Clove, Eucalptus Juniperberry, Mint and Wintergreen.
You can use it to inhale as a decongestant either by dabbing it on a tissue or adding to boiling water and inhaling the steam, but be careful you don't scold yourself .
It can also be used as a massage rub. Mix with a carrier oil something like grapeseed or almond oil (just a few drops) and massage onto any aches and pains.
I normally put the oil on a tissue and inhale a few times. I have also found that if you put a couple of drops on your pillow case it helps you breath better all through the night. It also has a lovely smell that is quite relaxing and will help you sleep even when you don't have a cold.
For a 10ml bottle it costs between £2- £3 but it does last for months even years as long as you keep it out of the sunlight.
You can find it in most chemists and supermarkets.
For immediate relief on colds, catarrh and sinuses I would highly recommend using Olbas oil.

Summary: lots of ways to use this beneficial product a lasts a long time
