Advantages: clears nose, stops pain

Disadvantages: ?

I have been checking through my medicine store checking use by dates and such .I came across my bottle of Olbas oil. Threw it out as it was out of date past its best before.
It inspired me to write about it.

I find Olbas oil excellent for clearing nasal congestion helps if I have sinusitis.
I do not often get sinusitis but had it last year and it really hurt my nose was blocked and painful. I bought some Olbas oil and sprinkled some on my hanky to sniff at work to help relieve the pain, and at night I would Sprinkle some on my hanky and put it in my pillow under my nose so I could breathe its vapours in all night and stop snoring (my husband says I was snoring) I found it was so good really eased the pain and my blocked nose made my nose dribble though

I also have used it when I have blocked nose from a cold or my hay fever is causing me problems with breathing through my nose. I find it very helpful does relieve congestion and nose pain.

Olbas oil is easily bought in any chemist or supermarket that has a pharmacy section.
It is available in 10 ml bottles or 28ml bottles. It costs £2.49 for 10ml, £4.99 for 28mls. You only need to use a few drops at a time so goes a long way.

Not for use on babies under 3 months.
Olbas makes a pastille for sore throat too, not had these might get some when I next get a sore throat (I often do I think that since the oil works well on my nose that the pastilles should be good for my throat.)

Olbas oil can be used as a rub as well as a vapour. I have not done so but they say it can ease muscle pain.

Do not use on broken skin.
May cause a tingling sensation on delicate skin this only lasts a short time and is not harmful.

Do not get into your eyes .It recommends washing eye in water then seeking medical help if you do. Also do not ingest (swallow) if you do so accidentally seek medical help

Olbas oil is made by GR Lane h
ealth Gloucester .
Thanks for reading.. Mary

As succinct as ever, lovely Mary. (Have you thought about getting a ticket to see Eminem at MK? Well, you like gigs)

guaranteed to clear noses, lifts and any other small spaces populated by people without nasal problems!

The pastilles are foul tasting, you have been warned!

You say that the bottle you had was past it's use-by date... what's the shelf life of this stuff???
