Optrex infected eyes as mentioned has an antibiotic ingredient, over the counter drugs like these are contributing to the massive increase of antibiotic resistance in bacteria. Chloramphenicol is a broad spectrum antibiotic meaning it can inhibit replication of many bacteria. Alexander Fleming in 1928 discovered penicillin and at the same time discovered that bacteria exposed to low doses and for short periods of time, they develope resistance.

This is exactly what optrex infected eyes are doing!

bacteria can spread their resistance genes to other bacteria from the same species or even different.

MRSA is NOT the only bacteria that has acquired resistance....almost all bacteria have including E.coli, M.Tuberculosis, C.Difficile, Salmonella, P.aeuriginosa, Strep. pneumoniae!!!

Please think again before buying! try letting your own immune system work on the bacteria.
