Pepto-Bismol is a medicine aimed at relieving symptoms of upset stomach, nausea, heartburn and associated ailments. It is only suitable for those over 16.

As well as this liquid form it is also available in tablet form should you prefer. I personally prefer the liquid version which comes in a small and a larger bottle.
The price isn't cheap at around £3.15 for 120ml however for me it is the only antacid medicine that seems to work and so it is definitely worth it. It is currently only available over the counter which is often inconvenient if you need it unexpectedly and there isn't a chemist open/nearby.

The product itself has a child proof lid and comes in a clear bottle with a yellow label which is rather bold detailing the necessary information. The liquid itself is a bubblegum pink colour which at first is rather shocking and perhaps off-putting however one gets used to it. Another note is that upon opening the lid, the liquid smells rather strongly, a smell that reminds me of surgical spirit, and it tastes similar too. I don't find this an issue however it is unpleasant for some. I actually prefer the taste of this than other products available which usually taste of aniseed or something which makes me feel even worse.

Unlike other medicines aimed at preventing heartburn and other symptoms, Pepto-Bismol is the only one that I find instantly works. Upon taking the medicine an immediate cooling and soothing feeling is felt and it is such a relief!
