Advantages: They taste nice

Disadvantages: None at all for me

I never go anywhere without indigestion tablets in my handbag, they are an essential for me. When I was in my local Tesco recently I spotted these Orange Rennie indigestion tablets, I had never noticed them before and decided to buy them. I have tried different flavoured indigestion remedies in the past and found some of them to be quite pleasant. They cost me £2.00 for a box of 24, they are also available in a pack of 48 too.

Rennie Orange are sold in a regular box which is red and orange in colour, it has Rennie written across the front in bold white letters and just below this it says that these are orange flavour. The front of the box also informs the customer that these are calcium carbonate and will give you fast effective relief from indigestion and heartburn.

The back of the box states that orange flavour Rennies work by neutralising stomach acid and relieving the symptoms of indigestions, heartburn, flatulence and upset tummies, it also says that these are suitable for pregnant ladies, however you should consult your doctor before taking them.

The dosage is given as no more than 16 tablets per day for adults and children over the age of 12 years. The box contains an information leaflet which gives all the relevant details you may wish to know and the box advises reading this before you take the tablets.

Inside the box the tablets are in 2 blister packs, they are square shaped and a pale orange colour, they smell orangey too, the tablets are easy enough to push through the back of the strip and they don't crumble when you do it.

The first time I tried these I was really surprised with just how much orange flavour they have, they are quite fizzy too a bit like a sherbet sweet, they do leave a slight chalkiness in my mouth but on the whole they are very pleasant. Taste aside though the main thing is do they work and as far as I'm concerned they do. I have found they relieve heartburn or indigestion fairly quickly, I usually take 2 at a time and I find this clears any indigestion I have.

I would certainly recommend orange Rennies, they work fast and are pleasant to take, they can be crunched up or you can just let them dissolve in your mouth, I have tried both methods and they work equally well. If you suffer from indigestion or heartburn and don't like the taste of regular indigestion tablets then I would certainly consider these, I will definitely be buying them again.

Summary: A fast working indigestion tablet that tastes nice
