Advantages: Helps unblock the sinus and helps with aches and pains

Disadvantages: I struggled to swallow the pills!

Having flu as I did last week is never a nice experience! I was in a bit of a state to be honest, everything was blocked up and my throat killed me and it took every bit of energy I had to lift my head off a pillow and I didn't have time to be ill....I had to get moving and keep moving.

I didn't know what was going to help me so I went to Boots and decided to give these a go and a £3.50 for a packet for 15 pills and I thought that was very reasonable for what they offered me!

The Packaging:

White oblong box and on the front there is a picture of a face on it and I'm told they are Non-Drowsy Sinutab 'Clears nasal and sinus congestion and relives headache and pain', and I'm told of course the box contains 15 pills. Other information on the box includes telling me a bit about the product and dosage advice is given, warnings are listed and contact details for Pfizer consumer healthcare are given (the manufacturer of the product). Inside the box is a plastic and foil pop put pill tray containing all of the tablets.

A Bit About The Product According To The Information Given On The Box:

Nasal and sinus congestion are widespread problems, which can cause pain and headache.

Sinutab is formulated to relieve pain and, at the same time to the clear the congestion in the sinuses that causes pain.

Sinutab also provides relief from congestion symptoms and pain or fever associated with the common cold, influenza, hay fever and sinusitis. Causes no drowsiness.

Dosage Advice:

Adults and children 12 years and over: Two tablets every four to six hours, up to four time a day.

Children 6-12 years: One tablet every four to six hours, up to four times a day.

Children under 6 years: Not recommended.

Taking Them:

Well the pills are rather large, white and chalky white in appearance. I recommend you swallow one at a time and with a large drink or like me you may get one lodged in your windpipe!

I found these to work for me but did find that they made me feel tired. In fact I took two of these and I slept for hours afterwards, not that I'm complaining it was one of the best nights sleep I've had in ages but beware if your busy and have no time to sleep!

They certainly did help unblock congestion and I could breath easier after consuming these and they worked within half an hour. This product contains paracetamol too so the groggy aches and pains in my body (including a woozy head) were relieved big time. All round I felt better for taking these though these are not a cure they are just something to alleviate symptoms of colds, flu and even hayfever.

Verdict:

I think these are really helpful but not a cure for issues. They certainly made me feel less achy after taking them, my headache had vanished and I could breath easier and these do attack sinus problems with haste. My only complaint with these is how hard they are to swallow but other than that at about £3.50 a packet of 15 pills I think they're worth it!

Available in all good supermarkets and chemists etc.

Summary: Great for any sinus problem though these are not a cure!
