Advantages: Works on a multitude of symptoms, fast!

Disadvantages: None!

After putting off my one and only perk that I receive for working for the NHS, ie a free flu injection, guess what.... Yes you've guessed it, I caught the flu, and by god did I get a good dose of it!

I suffered for a good 10 days with every symptom you would expect, and a few others to boot, one of them being chronic sinusitis.

Never having suffered with this condition before, I was unsure on how to treat it, after suffering for a couple of days with bad headaches and pains over my eyes I decided I had to get something.
After perusing the medicine aisle in Asda for something suitable for my condition I happened upon a new product available from Sudafed.

The product in question is "Non - drowsy Sudafed, congestion and headache capsules"

Obviously the first thing that attracted me to this product is the fact this product states that it clears stuffy noses and relieves headaches and symptoms associated with blocked sinuses.

The box is the normal size associated with other headache tablet products, the colour scheme is very eye catching and distinctive. The box is bright white with mint green coloured detailing.
There is the obligatory information on the box, brand name, product name, contents and amounts, purpose of use and symptoms this product is supposed to alleviate.
This box is quite unique in the respect this is one of the only products I have noticed that has incorporated braille onto the packaging, this can be found over the top of the product name.

Upon opening the box you are faced with two foil packed sleeves of tablets, all wrapped singularly within the vacuum formed plastic.
Each tablet is again very distinctive in colour, this being burgundy and blue, and are the jelly capsule type of tablets. This is good in the fact it dissolves very quickly once swallowed, but bad if you struggle taking them (like me), meaning there is more likelihood they could dissolve in your mouth, not nice when it does happen!
Being a softer capsule also means that you have to more careful when you are "popping" them out of the foil backing, very often the two sides of the tablet come apart and spill there contents, and I'm sorry but I refuse to take them like that!

The pack recommends you take two tablets every four hours, these are the guidelines for anyone over the age of 12 years old, for the age range of 6-12 the dosage is reduced down to one tablet every four hours.
The tablets are to be taken orally and are not to be chewed (for reasons I listed earlier!).
No more than 4 doses are to be taken a day.

Do they work? Well yes and quite effectively as well. The tablets started taking effect around twenty minutes after first taking them.
The main reason I was taking them was I had a blazing headache with shooting pains over my right eye, the pains were visibly reduced within twenty minutes with the headache usually clearing after 30 minutes.
The other good thing with these tablets is the fact they don't send me loopy! I had to stop taking Lemsip cold and flu tablets after having an episode of them making me slur my speech and I came across as drunk to other people, the fact I had to drive and fetch my children from school really frightened me so I had to find another alternative.

These tablets cost me £3.34 a box, which for a four day supply is exceptional value.

These tablets I highly recommend, not only do they alleviate and control the horrible effects of sinusitis, they can also be used to help with general symptoms of colds and flu.
