Advantages: GREAT FOR PAIN

Disadvantages: CAN BE ADICTIVE AND CAUSE SEVERE DROWSINESS

SYNDOL

Syndol are tablets sold without prescription, but by a pharmacist, you usually have to ask for them. They are specially made to help with migraine headaches. They contain a muscle relaxant and I have been told they can become addictive. I think all painkillers are addictive. The packaging is simple bold and easy to spot. The tablet is quite large capsule shape, which is easy to cut in half.

My Mother introduced me to them a couple of years ago and said just take half of one tablet if you have a head ache, especially if it is a tension headache. One hot afternoon in the office I decided to give one half only a go. Well, it certainly worked, but did not read the back of the packet, which stated "Can cause drowsiness".
I think my colleagues thought I was drunk as I was a little more than relaxed and had all of a sudden become very tired. I even talked slower so they relaxed my mouth, which pleased a few of my work mates!

My point being, Sydol does more than cause mild drowsiness and should be avoided during the day. (If you affected by drowsiness of course) I took just half of one pill; heavens know what would have happened had I took the recommended two tablets.

You can buy them for about £4 for 20 tablets. I wouldn't be without them in my cupboard, as I know it's naughty but I take a couple if I am flying as it relaxes me and I often drop off. I would compare them to a Valium, which my doctor prescribed before I took a flight (I used to be nervous of flying).

I would not advise you use them as an alternative to your usual painkillers, but they can be useful under extreme cases. Certainly cure migraine pain, which is debilitating anyway, so you may as well go for the knap. What use are you if you have a 'migraine', give in take two tablets and relax.

I hope this is useful and thank you so much for reading.

Summary: I WOULD NOT TAKE THEM IF DRIVING IF AFFECTED BY THE DROWSINESS

Thanks guys, for your comments. I may have a go with the Boots own though.

Boots also do an own brand version ("tension headache pills") with the same ingredient - if you're suffering and it's bedtime, perfect -pop the pill and have a great night's sleep! But i agree that during the day it'd be not so great!

Excelle nt review :)
