I think everyone at some point in their life has gotten that dull throb at the front, side or back of their skull, you know the one, it starts with a single warning throb which you always ignore because "that was weird but it was probably nothing, no point taking anything for it". Well I got the mother of all single warning throbs last night and it nearly knocked me for 6, considering the severity of it I didn't think for a second there could be a headache on the way but there was, less than 15 minutes later I was curled up in a ball on the bed whimpering like a new born kitten while the missus hunted frantically for something to give me some relief. ... I think one thing that we can definitely all agree on is that one of the most annoying things that we all go through is a bad headache which shows no signs of curing itself. After deciding that its not going to go anywhere without a little push, there are numerous choices of pain relief to choose from. The most common forms of pain relief which can be purchased 'over the counter' are Paracetamol, Asprin and Ibuprofen, paracetamol probably being the most popular of the three. There are a number of different branded versions of paracetamol including Panadol, Anadin and Calpol, but several supermarkets and pharmacies sell their own brand of the drug. Tesco is no ... I get headaches quite regularly, which is partially due to eyestrain from being on the computer so often (I now have glasses to use when I'm on here, although I can see clearly enough without them) and stress (even when there's seemingly nothing to stress about I'm always a bit of a stresshead). I don't advocate taking paracetamol too often, but they're useful if you can find one that works for you so you know you have some in the cupboard just incase. These are Tesco's own brand paracetamol, bought over-the-counter and found amongst their other medicines, vitamins etc. I buy them in capsule form, which are sold in a box of 16 x 500ml caplets. At only 15p a ... Read the complete review

I am not sure if it is just me, the time of the year, or the weather but I have had quite a few headaches in recent weeks. Nothing serious enough that I would have to attend the doctor but painful enough to annoy me in to taking a pain reliever. My painkiller of choice is paracetamol, and I don't like to pay too much for it. I generally buy Tesco's 500mg Paracetamol tablets. I buy the Tesco 500mg Paracetamol Tablets in a packet of 16. The round white tablets come in a small blue and white box with Tesco logos containing 2 white blister packs, you have to push the tablet through the foil backing, not very difficult. There are 8 tablets on each strip. I ... Read the complete review

When was the last time you heard of a drug company making a loss? Drugs require investment for the research, but when it comes to producing the actual drug, they can be extremely cheap. It is therefore no surprise that for those products which do not have a patent the possibility to deliver on the shelf an affordable product exists. Tesco sells Paracetamol tablets in a nice box containing 16 of them, in 2 strips of 8 each for 15 pennies. Each caplet is 500mg, which makes it a bit bigger than similar products and requires me to take a good gulp of water to swallow it. But let's start from the beginning. ... Read the complete review
