With the start of winter some things are just inevitable. Having flu?s, colds and fevers are just one of them. If you have children it?s best always to be stocked up in medicine. As a mother you never want to see your child under the weather. So, when I was in my local chemist I took the opportunity to stock up on some children flu
I normally always get Calpol as its suitable for children and works really well. In Addition to getting Calpol I also purchased Tixylix cough medicine for children. I remember buying it last year and it worked really well and fast helping my daughter to over come her chesty cough within a couple of days.
Tixylix is sugar free so good for children as it won?t harm their teeth. My daughter actually likes the taste of Tixylix. Whenever, I give it her I always say ?have some Tixy to fix your tickly cough? she seems to like my phrase and opens wide for her medicine. However, I am not so sure about the taste.
Always read the label before giving your child the medication. It usually states to give one 5ml spoonful to your child three times a day. However, how much you give to your child will vary depending on your child?s age.
You can buy Tixylix cough medicine from all chemists, Boots store. You can buy a bottle for £2.35 you can also get it on prescription but doctors will normally always suggest that you buy Calpol or something similar from the Chemist. I know my doctor when I ring up to say my daughter has a cough, the receptionists will say have you tried anything from the chemist. So now I am always prepared.
How well does it work?
Tixylix works really well. It helps children have a good night sleep and parents too?..
Because you?re not awaken by your child?s coughing. The medicine helps to relief any pain and remove the cough. If you?re child has a cough if you give them this cough, you should expect it to better within one or two days.
