Advantages: Very effective, affordable, eases pain, numbs throat.
Disadvantages: I can't think of any.
Over Christmas I was under the weather, my boyfriend was under the weather, his mum, dad, sister and best mate were all ill. Everybody seemed to have a sore throat and cold. I'd never heard of Tyrozets before, but my boyfriend's mate gave me a packet of them, because he knew I'd been suffering and the pharmacist had recommended them to him when he'd been in the chemist complaining of a sore throat.
You can buy Tyrozets over in the chemist and it's around £2.99 for 24 lozenges. However they're different from your average throat lozenge because not only do they numb pain by anesthetising your throat, but they also contain an antibiotic to help fight infection.
These chalky tablets have a slight aniseed taste to them, but the taste isn't particularly strong or adverse.
Once you put a Tyrozet into your mouth you'll start to feel relief almost instantly and it will take about ten minutes for it to fully dissolve.
I'd say that the results last for a good few hours and because these lozenges numb your throat, if you've got a cough, then that should also temporarily subside.
Obviously this is a medicine and there are certain rules you have to abide by. You can't give Tyrozets to anybody under the age of three and it's not recommended that you consume more than eight tablets over a 24 hour period, although I doubt that you'd need to exceed this number because these tablets are very effective!
Tyrozets are by far the best throat lozenges I've ever tried and I thoroughly recommend them - I just wish I'd discovered them sooner. Five stars!
Summary: The perfect throat lozenge.
