Advantages: It works every time

Disadvantages: It hurts - but only for 5 mins which is way shorter than a cold!

i see that several people here are totally dissing this product which i find amazing. those that have a problem with it are simply not using it correctly. in particular those getting headaches are doing so because they are sniffing after applying the nasal spray - i know because i got a few myself. it specifically says in the instructions not to sniff - although its a natural reaction after spraying something up your nose.

for those that do use the product properly it is a revelation, as testified by many of the reviewers here. but yes - it does sting. in fact it stings like hell at the hack of your nose and top of yor throat depending on the virus. but i have come to enjoy this pain, as i know it is the product doing its work. if you use it properly for 2 days as soon as you feel a cold coming it will stop the cold developing - every time.

up until 3 yrs ago i got at least 3 colds a year, most of them real stinkers. and boy did they make me miserable - and usually lasted for at leat 10 days. however on discovering first defense i can honestly say i have not had one cold develop, except the one i got while travelling WITHOUT access to the product.

as i write i have just zapped another particularly nasty cold which my pregnant wife and i have acquired from my 19 mth old daughter. my poor wife cant use the spray in her condition and is totally miserable.

i LOVE this product and there is always one in the house. it seems expensive but lasts for several cold infections. i dont know anyone whio would refuse the offer of clearing up their cold (once developed) for less than a tenner ... but its too late then im afraid ... by which time you will be wasting money on lemsip, beechams powders, strepsils and every other so called remedy that do nothing to stop the cold!

this is truly a wonder product.
