Advantages: Gets rid of warts
Disadvantages: It can damage the skin if used for more than 20 seconds
A few weeks back I noticed that both my sons had developed warts, on their finger, I already had a doctors appointment arranged for another matter, so I mentioned them to the doctor, he said that it was probably to do with them lifting stuff of the ground and did not offer any sort of treatment.
After reading reviews both on Dooyoo and Ciao about wart treatments, I decided to take matters into my own hands and went and bought Wartner from the chemist, the cost was around £4.00. The product is used for the treatment of warts and verrucas, the packaging it came in was a long thin cardboard box.
What is inside the packaging?
The contents are:
An aerosol dispenser - containing Dimethyl ether and Propane.
10 foam applications - for 10 treatments
Plastic key - to apply foam applicators
Instruction leaflet
PLEASE NOTE: Neither Dimethyl ether nor Propane are harmful to the environment, also it is not suitable to use on your face.
How does Wartner work?
Basically Wartner freezes the wart or verruca, by freezing the warts/verrucas this will cause a blister to form under the skin and within ten days the wart should gradually fall off or just disappear.
It is advised that you are 100% sure that what you are treating is actually a wart or verruca, if you are not sure then it would be wise to visit your GP first.
Applying Wartner to infected area
Using Wartner was really easy and the treatment only took a few minutes, the instruction leaflet provided gives easy step by step instructions. For a stubborn wart the treatment can be done again after two weeks, however if the same wart has to be treated three times then it is advised that you should speak to your GP.
First treatment
Once the sponge applicator touched the skin, (expect a stinging sensation) the warts changed from their usual colour to white, this is when you remove the applicator, after a short period of time the colour will go back to normal and the stinging will disappear, The kids were not impressed with the stinging at first but they were glad to (hopefully) get rid of their warts.
Does it actually work?
YES !! It does work after the first treatment which was two weeks ago the warts seem to be a lot smaller than they were, they have very nearly disappeared, however they both needed another treatment with Wartner which they got tonight and still they were not impressed with the stinging but they can see the difference that Wartner has made, so hopefully within the next two weeks they will no longer have warts. Highly recommended !!!
Thanks for reading !!
Summary: Follow the instructions and you should get rid of warts/verrucas

Gary25 - 16/11/08 My daughter does gymnastics and was forever picking them up. This didn't work for her and in the end she had to have them frozen off with liquid nitrogen. |
