Disadvantages: but not for every baby

I tried this gripe water when my daughter suffered from colic, with no result, so this time when my son (now 10 weeks old) suffered from suspected colic a couple of weeks ago, I tried this after everything else had failed - and it worked! It was amazing, as it had no effect at all on my daughter. It works seemingly immediately - it quiets him and he relaxes straight away - wonderful. I can't recommend it highly enough - and I really can't understand why it works for some and not others, but, hey, it's worth a try.
