Being a University student, a laptop is a must have, so when my old laptop broke several months ago I was faced with the arduous task of trying to find a new one. I decided upon this Lenovo Z750, and am so pleased with my decision. Initially I was a little concerned as I hadn't heard much about the brand, but having read various reviews and talked to various friends I decided to choose this computer. It offers excellent storage space, something that I require for the many University documents. It is fast to load up, saving the many hours of waiting around just for a laptop to turn on. The laptop doesn't come with lots of random software installed, which for me is a massive bonus as it means that all of the space is available for customer use without spending time having to unistall random unknown packages.
The functions are very easy to control, with many having simple function key control. I find the mouse track pad to be of perfect sensitivity, allowing me sufficient control to do my photo editing. The integrated webcam is a wonderful addition, with it being good enough for excellent video quality when using Skype. The keys are smooth and easy to use, they aren't clicky and are very nicely spaced. I find typing with this laptop keyboard very easy.
Battery life is excellent, I am able to use it for 5-6hours before recharging (easily).
Overall, I would highly recommend this laptop!!
When I got to University and discussed with friends as to our favourite books, everyone was shocked and appalled that I had never read Life of Pi. For my birthday present I received a copy of this book, and proceeded to read it, intruiged as to why so many people were recommending it. Quickly I realised why it was such a loved book. I was instantly drawn into the story, I found it truly captivating, wanting to continue reading. Rarely do I read a book which makes me sit up and read all night, but this made me do that. Even when I wasn't reading it, I was thinking about it and wishing that I had it in my hands. If you want a captivating and emotive book then this is definitely one to go for. It provokes a great plethora of emotions, at times laughter and at others tears. A must read, regardless of age!
After seeing and hearing many of my friends talking about the now famous Christian Grey, I decided that I had to read this book to see what all of the hype was about. Having read it, I truly understand why it got people talking! From what I had heard about the storyline I was expecting it to be a tad raunchy, but not quite as raunchy as it actually is! Throughout the book there is rather explicit content, describing what can only be called BDSM. In my opinion this book should fall in the erotic literature category, and is not for the fainthearted...I think this book requires a person with a specific book taste to enjoy this, although I can understand why some of my friends were talking about it.
The storyline at times is predictable, but I felt compelled to read through to the end. It is definitely a book of fantasy, it is (in my opinion) completely far fetched and at times I laughed aloud at it.
I would suggest reading it if you want your eyes truly opened, and I can see why many mothers are reading this. I loved reading it on the Kindle as noone was able to see what I reading, I would not read a hardcopy of this book in public! A memorable book, but not sure if memorable for the wrong reasons....
I purchased this phone as my first smart phone and have been very impressed. I find it very easy to use, it took a little while to get used to the different menus, but now this is straightforward. I found setting up the email accounts very easy!
I thought that the qwerty keyboard may be a problem due to the small keys, but I quickly got used to this and would now always have a blackberry!
I have found on occasion that the phone does however freeze when browsing on the internet, but simply turning the phone off and on again seems to overcome this. The battery life is ok, I seem to have to charge my phone everyday, which is significantly different to previous phones however due to the number of emails received and the high usage of the phone I am not particularly disappointed by this.
The phone is hardwearing, and having accidently dropped it a couple of times I am surprised it has withstood any damage.
Overall a good phone, easy to set up and use.
I got this camera for my 18th birthday and fell in love with it. It is such a great little camera as an introduction to digital photography and the use of SLRs. It is easy to use, with the option to take complete control of aperture and shutter speed when getting more advanced, or simply using the auto mode when simply wanting to point and click.
I would strongly recommend this camera to anyone who wants to take more advanced photos than a simple digital camera, but who also doesnt wish to break the bank in doing so.
I purchased the camera as a package with the 18-55mm lens, and find that this is perfect for general photography.
The battery life is excellent, I have been able to take the camera on holiday and only charge it once whilst away on a week long break. It is easy to handle and light-weight.
