I have purchased this product from the Lancome website rather than from the department stores. Unfortunately, there were no reviews of the product, so was rather sceptical. How shocked was I!!!
After spending loads of money on supermarket brands and off the shelf brands, it was time I stopped flushing money after money down the toilet. But I am glad I did because this product is fantastic and the product packaging is really good too.
The product is in a pump action bottle and the top actually snaps on so the product can be stored laying down and there is no worry over spillage either. The pump action is smooth and doesn't require two hands like some pump action bottles. The serum is delivered into the palm smoothly and without any wastage. It feels extremely silky and has a wonderful fragrance, however, the fragrance is very faint.
Lancome states that you only need three pumps of serum to cover all the face and neck area. I can't say that that was the case for me. I needed an extra pump to ensure the neck was covered as well. But then I suppose using it for the first time, my skin may have been super absorbant due to not using the correct skin care before purchasing this one. So only time will tell to how many pump applications I will need in the future.
Once the serum was evenly applied, I noticed that the skin feels really soft and smooth. There is no evidence of irritation, so this is an extra bonus for me because I have super sensitive skin and usually becomes very red and blotchy with fragranced products. I applied it every where, near the eye area but not directly around the eye. Leaving it on over night was long enough to know if I was going to go red or not.
The following morning I was extremely surprised. My skin looks so rejuvenated and the open pores already appear smaller. The wrinkles looked less severe but they still have a long way to go before disappearing but realistically I will settle for looking finer. My main problem is the open pores around the cheeks and nose area and yes, they definitely look less prominent. I also have some ageing spots on my cheek bones and above my eye brows, I am not sure if they look any paler but I believe in time and using this product for a longer period, they will look brilliant and the skin will be more radient. I can certainly recommend this product to everyone.
Over the last few years, my skin has begun to show patches of brown pigments on my face. I have olive skin, without any special requirements, so usually when out in the sun, I have a very even glow to it. But for some reason I have begun to see differences, maybe because I am getting slightly older, hence the choice of the anti wrinkle cream.
The packaging was minimal and sealed with a clear wrapping so accessing the instructions / warning leaflet had to wait until I got home. Once opened I found the very detailed instructions which were written in other languages as well as English which made them appear squash and a little too small for my eyes. But out came the glasses before use.
The jar reminded me of the cold cream my nana use to use and when the lid was removed it had a secondary plastic top to ensure none of the cream was wasted. However, the jar could have been sealed instead of the box. Making the instruction leaflet accessible before purchasing the goods.
Fortunately, none of the warnings applied to me, so armed with cleanser and cream I set to work. The cream is very smooth and easy to apply. It has a very faint fragrance and settled into my skin easily. However, you can easily put too much on when faced with a promise of a clear even skin.
According to the instructions, the best results are seen after four weeks. However, I applied the cream on day one and by the end of the day, family members were stating that they could see a difference and that the melanin in my skin was already reducing. So I decided to use the cream over night as I hadn't purchased the night cream. WOW what a difference! In just one day (used twice), my skin had definitely changed. The pigment had reduced and I had started to look like my old self with a less blotchy brown pigment. After day two and using the cream once rather than twice, I can say it is a winner in my cabinet.
I will continue to use the product until I am satisfied with the pigment, but to ensure my skin pigment does not become too pale, I will reduce the daily use to bi-weekly use with a view to controlling the pigment.
After purchasing several different models and makes of hoovers, I finally found the perfect one. As for most people of a certain age, my mother found most hoovers too heavy to manage, so when I saw this ultra light weight hoover, I had to buy it for her.
Firstly, the height of the handle is slightly lower than the regular weighted hoover, making it an advantage for the smaller framed person. However, don't be fooled, this little diamond has all the fantastic features of the regular model.
The roller ball feature makes the movement around the home, weightlessly. It allows the hoover to move around objects without the need to lift and turn the hoover. The waste bin on the hoover is smaller than the regular model but as it is very easy to remove and empty, it has not posed any inconvenience. As with the regular models, the telescopic arm allows the user to reach those corners of the carpet and ceiling that don't usually get reached by the brush bar foot. It has the nozzle, which doubles up as a small brush, is fitted to the machine so it is easily accessible and just a gentle pull on the handle lifts the telescopic arm out from the hose. The brush bar foot is very easy to maintain has it has a little button on the side of the foot to press to reset the brush. This is ideal if you run over the odd sock or two. As the brush is run separately by a belt from the motor, it also allows the brush to be turned off when cleaning lino or tiled floors. This feature is next to the on/off button and only requires one click on and one click off. I have found this an advantage because when using it throughout the whole house, I have only needed to press a button rather than stopping the machine and having to bend right over to access the dial which most others brands have. It does not need you to guess which setting would be best for the floor needing to be cleaned.
The filters are also easy to access and it does not need a lot of meddling to remove them. They also need to be tapped to refresh them but can also be rinsed under the tap to remove any heavy dust. But don't be put off by having to do this because once the filters have been tapped and replaced, the suction on the hoover is back to it's original newness. Saying that, in the months of use, the suction has never changed.
The smallness of this machine has not made it any less powerful than the regular sized models. It feels like it is pulling the carpets from the grippers. Even with the brush disabled, the powerful suction is still there. Making the tiled floors a breeze with a click of a button. The power cable is of a good length and is easily unwrapped and re-wrapped back onto the storage hooks.
Overall, I am extremely pleased with it. It is light weight making lifting it easy no matter what your size is. It is extremely compact and only needs a small space to store it away.
Whilst searching the market for the next new car for the family, I called into the local car sales showroom looking for the best value whilst keeping in mind the required space for my wheelchair. I was in undated with 'this car has..' but then I spotted it on the forecourt. It looked modern, it had alloy wheels, it had everything I was looking for.
From the front, it has a beautiful streamline shape. The window screen wipers are tucked under the bonnet until needed giving a unobstructed streamline for air flow. The driver has all the controls at their finger tips. They can operate their blue tooth devices with a touch of the button. Answering telephone calls are safe as there is no need to take their hands off the steering wheel. All blue tooth music systems are easily connected giving an all around music system. Again at a touch of a button on the steering wheel. The system comes with a cable which allows the user to link up manually an ipod or iphone, leaving the blue tooth free for a 'paired' mobile phone. Yes it sounds a little complicated, but if like me you need a 'script and verse' when it comes to technology, then check out the manual. Yes, I said the manual, unlike other manuals this is so easy to use. The audio has a little booklet to itself. Easy!! Moving on... the car has dual heating and air conditioning controls. In laymen terms, the driver can be as hot as they want to be, whilst the passenger can be as cool as they want to be....all at the same time. Great stuff! Leg space is very good too. I need extra leg space to allow for the movement of my body into the car. As the front seats have controls to move the seat up and down as well as back and forward, it has a lot of options to giving the taller person room to move, whilst the shorter person can move the chair closer to the pedals and wheel whilst maintaining a high or low level chair seat. Windows are electric and can be operated by the driver, locking them in position to ensure passengers are safe from trapped fingers. The windows also have an AUTO button so the driver and passengers can flick the button and let go. The window then automatically fully closes or fully opens without hanging onto the window button. Your fingers are so happy! All doors can be locked by using a single click to a button positioned in the centre of the front panel. Ideal for the single occupant when they need to take high valued goods with them. The doors can only be operated from the inside until the door has been locked and unlocked using the central locking remote control. The child locks are also controlled by the button. The remote control also allows for the rear hatch door to be opened whilst keeping all other doors locked. The rear passengers have limited controls. They can control the windows independently only if the driver has not used the safety button. Thus you can ensure the rear passengers are safe. Bottle/cup holders are situated in the front door panels but the central compartment needs to be fully opened for the rear passengers to access theirs. This, for me, is definitely an inconvenience as the driver looses the arm rest!!! However, the selling point for me was that whilst having five people in the vehicle, I could put my wheelchair in the boot space whilst the rear chairs where still upright. Using a wheelchair is vital to my independence and with the installation (arranged by the garage) of a wheel chair lift, I don't need to struggle with collapsing the chair or relying on my passenger to get the chair in and out of the boot. Wonderfully spacious, would be ideal for any family with dogs. Economy is also on many people's mind. I have the diesel model and get a great 'miles to gallon' whilst making both short and long journeys.
