Cage, in my view is a very over-rated actor, he has been in many films, the good ones most natably being face-off and conair among my favourites. However I have also seen him in a number of poor films, this one however is worth the watch.
Cage plays Roy, an interesting character who has an obsesive disorder. I found that Cage played this well and is a role I've never seen him play before. His life becomes very complicated when he is referred to a new doctor who refuses to give him the pills he was on.
With this in mind it becomes harder for him to continue his day-to-day life as a conman. Of corse he couldnt do this without the help of his assistant and good friend Frank. I found the cons they did in this highly entertaining and amusing, although perhaps I was expecting a bit more in the way of cons...
Roys life also gets a lot more complicated when he discovers he has a daughter, She ends up finding out his profession and ends up joining in with the fun!
The film has a twist at the end which comes as a bit of a surprise, although I guess with the film being about conmen you can understand why the directors chose to end it the way they did.
A highy entertaining film and well worth the watch. At £5.97 with Amazon this is a bargain.
A touchy subject for all, many of us will know somebody who has either given birth at a young age or had an abortion. I can see why this is a touchy subject, I know someone who gave birth at 17. The problem for giving birth at such a young age is that suddenly there are a lot more responsibilities, no longer can you go out as much. Also the boyfriend is given responsibilities, that is if he stops around.
There is however a danger that both parents will become unhappy because they may only be together for the kid. In many cases you hear of the boyfriend not wanting to know, and I feel in these kind of cases abortion should be allowed.
In conclusion to this matter I would argue that abortion should be allowed because it can not only make the lives of the parents unhappy, but that unhappyness will also rub off on the child. I think it should be a decision for the mother to make, if she feels she can support the child and bring it up with a living family then theres no reason to have an abortion. I think when it comes to adoption this could sometimes to be hard for the mother to give away the child.
This season promises to be one of the most exciting seasons in a long time, despite the lack of activity in the transfer market, there have been a few decent signings who will be keen to make an impact this season. Chelsea have brought in Shevshenko, a player I rate very highly. Although I feel they have been stung with the price they had to pay for him, how any 30 year old can be worth that is beyond me.
Then theres Man Utd, a team who have let go of Nistlerooy, one of the premiership's most prolific goalscorers. They have however strengthened in the signing of Michael Carrick. A team that shouldn't be underestimated, they still have Rooney and Saha up front. Its whether they can keep Ronaldo happy which could proove crucial in how successful they are this season.
For me there are 4 teams that all have a good chance of winning the title this season, The 2 I've mentioned plus Liverpool and Arsenal. Arsenal, for me have made a lack of signings and letting Pires go will hardly help them. Reyes is also rumoured to be joining Real Madrid, Arsenal will need to be keeping hold of their players if they're to win anything. I don't think Arsenal will win it this year, They seem a weaker side and this, combined with a new stadium is something they will have to get used to.
Liverpool on the other hand have made some sound purchases, Particularly Craig Belammy, who for £7 million is a bargain. Jermaine Pennant is also a quality winger who has shown promise in Liverpools recent friendlies. They have always been a strong home side, and Steven Gerrard is one of the best midfielders in the premiership.
Chelsea are 4/9 to win the title this season, these odds are tight from the bookmakers, but then they have strengthened. I don't think they needed Ballack, and Duff was a quality midfielder who they've let go to Newcastle. Don't get me wrong I still think they are going to be a very hard side to beat, but They are beatable.
Liverpool for me are the team who have strengthened the most with their recent signings and, after seeing them see off Chelsea in the charity Shield, They have a great chance of stealing the title of Chelsea. Don't write of Bellamy to be top goalscorer this season either!
This site is very simular to Dooyoo, it allows you to submit reviews on products as well as fill out surveys. This is all very straight forward, you have the choice on whether to get surveys, and if you want to they get sent to you via email. Unfortuantly I have found that these dont get sent often enough. When I first signed up, I found there was no problem, surveys were coming once, maybe twice a week, but now I find i'm lucky to get one a month.
One advantage with Ciao is that you can get payment as soon as you have made a fiver in your account. They pay it directly in your bank account. They pay around a month after you have requested payment.
Writing reviews on Ciao is very simular to how you write one on dooyoo, you have to rate the product in a simular way to dooyoo. However the payment structure is far more complicated. Rather than Dooyoo, where you get the equivilent of 3p per read from every member. You get paid depending on how the product is rated, you are less likely to get as much money if the product has already got several reviews for example than if it has none at all. You can get a rough idea of what you'l get by looking at the pound signs by the product you wish to review, no pound sign is shown for non-remunerated products, one pound sign indicates 0.5p per rating, two pound signs 1p and three pound signs 2p. This is really complicated though, i tend to find im lucky to have gained 3 or 4 p per review I submit.
I also find that the site seems to have become plagued with adverts. When you go on the account screen to view whats in your account, it becomes hard to read as there are adverts that popup and get in the way.
This site is only worthwhile if your prepared to fill out surveys, otherwise you'l be lucky to make a fiver in your lifetime! I just hope that the surveys start coming more again.
MSN Messenger is a free program that you can download off the internet which allows you to send instant messages to people. This is a great service because it enables you to keep in touch with people rather than texting someone on a phone, which would cost you money.
To use msn messenger you need to have an email address set up through hotmail, this is very quick and easy to setup, You can download messeneger from: http://get.live.com/messenger/overview. This version is now live which means newer features, one of them being you can now speak to people who use yahoo messenger.
Other features include playing against each other with online games included in the program. I tend to play checkers, I'd like to play chess, but after the trial, you have to pay for this which i think is a bit pointless. Especially when you could just play someone on a free games website. I'd like to see this feature become free.
You can also get your friend to give you remote adssistance, this is a good tool because they can gain access to your computeter through your permission and they may be able to solve a problem for you. You can regain access to your computer at any time by simply pressing a button on the keyboard.
Another new feature with live messenger is you can now share folders withn your friend, this makes it easier to share files, where as before you had to send each file seperately, now you can share a lot at once, for example share pictures. I have had problems with this feature though and I think Microsoft need to look into this, because it isnt working for me at the moment and I know other users hav had problems.
Overall though, i think this messenger is far better than all the other packages out there, for example yahoo, It does what you need it to do, and at the end of the day, most users use this messenger to any other from what i can tell. I'd recomend downloading this.
I have recently brought a laptop, so I therefor thought it would be a good idea to buy a router. This would mean I would be able to connect to the internet on my laptop through a wireless connection, a genius idea, right? Well if it works then yeah.
I brought this bit of kit from Amazon for £49.99, this was the cheapest I could find it online, and it seemed a reasonably good deal. Amazon, on there part were efficient, the package arrived on free delivery within a couple of days from when I ordered it.
When it arrived, the package came with the router, a microfilter, (although I already have one of those anyway), all the wires you need to connect it, as well as 1 wire to connect it to the Ethernet port on your pc. Also some instructions and a cd. Fair enough, I thought, this looks good enough.
I inserted the cd which gave instructions on how to set up the router and connect it to the pc, this was all very straight forward. However, once connected, it seemed virtually impossible to get it working, I didn't know what settings I needed it at, this was not just a simple plug and play!
Fortunatly I have a friend who is good with computers and he managed to set it up, but this was after 4 hours! So not the easiest bit of kit to set up! From then on, no complaints....for a week! The router was working fine, although there were problems with messenger running at startup, this would sometimes freeze or crash completely.
A week later I had some problems, after turning it off for the night, the next day it simply wouldn't connect to the internet, or give a wireless signal. The only lights that lit up were power and the ethernet port. I tried resetting it, although this appeared to do nothing, I also tried switching it on and off a couple of times, this didn't work either.
I have since sent this back to Amazon for a refund, not only was this hard to set up, but it seemed faulty from the moment I got it. I would not recommend this to anyone, whatever you do, buy something else, even if it means paying more, at least it will work!
I think when it comes to presenters, Ant and Dec are pretty funny, perhaps a little over-rated with the number of awards they've won, but nevertheless they are good presenters. This show features celebrities coming into the jungle where their faced with various challenges and have to live with other celebrities there.
The show lasts up to 2 weeks, and the celebrities are voted off by the public. I feel this show, like most reality shows, has over-run itself. I find it boring and this is simply cheap entertainment. Although I'd probably have more fun watching entertainment in a hotel abroad! And christ that is crap!
I have to say, that every time this show comes on, I don't know how often, once or twice a year, but whatever, the celebrities are in most cases either unheard of or has-beens. Most of them are false, there for the wrong reasons, to get famous again and start making money again.
The challenges the celebrities have to take can sometimes be quite entertaining. Again the celebrity that has to participate one of these when voted by the public. Challenges can be anything from swiming in a pond with crocodiles to eating insects or in a tank with snakes. Ant and Dec making their comments encouraging them to go on, but clearly enjoying every minute of it! If they manage t collect the stars, or the further they succeed the challenge, the more food they get for the dinner to share with the celebrities.
The challenges are probably the most entertaining part of the show, but other than this I can't help but fell this is cheap entertainment, and I wouldn't recommend watching this.
Being a chef can be very stressful, I know, because I actually work in a kitchen myself, fortunatly I don't have to work with anyone quite as stressy as Ramsey. This show is good because it shows that any business doing badly can turn itself around under the right management.
Ramsey goes to a restaurant each show, in an attempt to change its fortunes. I have to say, through watching the show, that in most cases, the restaurants are performing badly because of a poor chef employed, or bad management.
This show has become largely popular and I have to say I have become a fan, in places you find yourself laughing at Ramsden, who at times is rude and ill-tempered. Nevertheless, What he does say makews sense, although he has a lack of people skills, what he does do is get everyone moving. Usually he will change the menu so that it is easier for the chefs to do. Also it will be food which he knows should be popular with the public and sell well. Afterall that is what he is there for.
I don't think Ramsey is the best chef in the world, Personally, feel that Jamie Oliver is better. He has more patience and is better with people. Ramsey is more of a head chef who likes to stand there barking orders, where as Oliver gets stuck in. I think this is a great show to watch though, because, hats off to him, he usually does manage to turn the business around.
I have to say this show has really grown on me since it first started. Noel Edmunds appears to have resurrected his career. I really think hes brilliant on this show, he appears to genuinely wnat his contestants to wind the big prize and I don't think they could have got anyone btter to host the show.
The show, televised on channel 4 on Mondays to Fridays challenges the contestant to outwit the bank. Basically, there are 22 boxes, all with a value of money written inside. The contestant is given a box, although they don't know what is in it. Then each round they have to pick 3 boxes to unveil, hoping to reveal the lower values.
The values differ from as low as 1p to £250,000. As the show progresses, there are less values left, the higher values left over, the more likely the banker will offer you a higher figure to buy your box. This is done via telephone between him and Noel Edmunds, i find this pretty funny, but at times lame. You always find yourself wanting the contestant to outwit the banker, but it rarely happens.
The show is better to watch if the contestant is more of a gambler, as with all shows like this, Who want's to be a millionaire for example. On average though, I'd say the contestant usually walks away with aa couple of grand at the very least. Great show, well done to Channel 4!
I Brought this online from Comet a couple of weeks ago for just over £700, in my view this is a bargain. When shopping online I couldn't find one any cheaper than this.
When I first had the laptop it had to load everything up, then tells you to put in a dvd-r for back-up purposes. This is good because other computers I've had haven't done this. It means that if anything goes wrong I can restore the laptop to how it was when I first brought it. After this though, the laptop is moderately fast at startup.
The laptop comes with Windows XP and basic software which you usually get free, such as Microsoft WORKS, I'd aways recommend to install Office instead if you have a copy. Also included is NTI CD & DVD Maker. There is also a copy of Norton Internet security, but I don't particularly like this as it slows the pc down and is only a trial for 6 months. I'd recommend trying to find other software that is free.
This laptop comes with a dvd-ram drive which means it can read and write on all disks!I can listen to music, watch dvds, copy cds or dvds all with this laptop. The screen is good quality and comes in wide screen, making it more suitable to watch dvds than other laptops.
I Like Acer Arcade, a program which also comes free with the laptop, it enables you to access your mp3's your videos and photos stored on your computer. You can also use this program to play your dvds and music cds. This program is compatible with the buttons on the side of the keyboard. Here you can play, stop, forward or go back a track, as well as adjust the volume. These will also work if your doing something in another program at the same time, i.e. you can multitask!
I use the internet on this via a wireless router, which i purchased from amazon for £49.99. The setting up of this was rather complicated, as I use BT, This is only the settings that are complicated though, and no fault of the laptop. Once setup I have had no problems. I have the router downstairs and the internet works fine, infact it even works outside!
The Battery is efficient and you can monitor how charged it is through a program called Acer ePower Management. When fully charged the battery lasts over 3 hours, which isn't bad.
So far I can't say theres anything wrong with this laptop, but then I haven't had it that long! The only thing is it does get hot and I'd recommend using it at a desk rather than on your lap. Also although it comes with speakers, I'd recommend buying some if you want good quality sound from your music, as this is not always that sharp. If I get any problems I'l be sure to update this page. I would definatly recommend this product.
There are more expensive versions of this laptop, where you are paying for extra harddisk space, I think 1 model comes with a built in webcam, I didn't feel this was necesary as mine came with 80 Gig.
The film starts with star Tom Jane as Frank Castle on his last assignment to set up a ruthless gang. However it goes wrong when the son of a ruthless businessman called Howard saint, played by john Travolta, is killed. Now, wanting revenge for the death of his son, Howard Saint is looking to kill those responsible. Finding out that his son was set up, he hires some hit men to kill Frank and his family.
The hit men are successful in killing everyone but Frank, and once he recovers from his injuries, he sets to fight back, the action starts here. Now with no-one in his life that he cares about, Frank decides he has nothing to loose and sets to get revenge by whatever means possible!
The film is both entertaining and in places even funny. This film is not the best out there when you look at the other films that have been brought in the Marvel comic series. Im not a major comic fan, but I do enjoy the films that have come out. This film still comes in the top 5 for me though.
At times the film is a little unrealistic for me, but then I guess marvels are. In real life theres no doubt that Castle would have been killed but hey, this film is defiantly worth the watch. Tom Jane is brilliant for the part as is John Travolta, probably one of my favourite actors who also starred in Face Off.
In terms of blood and gore the film isnt too bad, this is a film more about violence, although there is a disturbing scene where one of Castles friends gets his piercing pulled out, I found myself turning away! This DVD is without doubt worth the watch and can currently be brought for £5.99 at play.com or £6 at choicesuk, this is a bargain for me.
A good question, which the jigsaw killer wants to know. This film is without doubt one of the most gruesome films I have ever seen. The killer seeks out victims who he feels dont value their lfe, he wants them to appreciate life, so what does he do? Well he traps his victims giving them a challenge which usually involves a time limit and if they dont succeed then they die!
The film starts with Doctor Lawrence Gordon finding himself trapped in a dingy bathroom, chained to a pipe. He finds hes not the only one there, trapped in there to is another man across the room stuck in the same situation. These men the latest victims of the jigsaw killer. When I watched this film for this first time I remember thinking what the f**k is going on? but the film starts to make sense as it goes on.
We find that these men have only 6 hours to get out of there, they find out all this from a tape recorder thats left in the room with them. Doctor Gordon has to find a way out armed with only a bullet and a hacksaw. He also finds out that his family have been kidnapped and wants to get out for them as much as anything. This film is certainly very different to any I have watched.
The film then develops, showing you why these men have been put there, and as the film goes on there are more clues in the room showing how they can break free. There appears to be a dead man in the middle of the room with them, he was holding the tape recorder, hes also holding the gun. Doctor Gordon finds hes faced with the challenge of getting the gun to kill the other man, with the promise of freedom if he succeeds. The gun of course is out of his reach. The only way he can get there is by somehow breaking from the chains with the saw, and driven by time running out and his family being kidnapped, the guy starts to loose his sanity, chopping his leg off! Hence why the films called Saw.
I wont give anymore away because it will ruin it, but lets just say what makes this film is the twist at the end, one that I never expected. I think this film is really good, but there are times when you find yourself turning away because it is so gruesome. Id defiantly recommend it though, as there isnt another film quite like it that Ive ever seen.
I'm sad to say that the game is being ruined by money. This has been a slow process which we have seen develop in this country. The value of players slowly went up from the early 90's and so did their wages.
I think a significant event in this country was when Newcastle broke the World transfer record, parting with £15 million for Alan Shearer. Don't get me wrong, I'm a Newcastle fan and this was money well spent. However what it did do was encourage clubs to ask more for their players.
Agents getting involved in the mid 90's didn't help things, not only did part of the transfer money now get paid to the agent, increasing the transfer fee, but the agents acting for the players demanded more money.
Anyway, I think these multi millionaires and billionaires, like Abromovich (not sure how you spell that name lol!) taking over Chelsea has since ruined the premiership. It is true to say that Manchester United and maybe Arsenal were starting to dominate the league, but eventually it would change, look at Liverpool, they used to be the best team in the world!
Now Chelsea have all the money and dominate the transfer market, they can offer a player whatever he demands, giving them a massive advantage over the rest of the premiership clubs. Unfortunately we now see Chelsea winning practically every home game, while usually remaining undefeated away from home.
I think it is not up to the FA but Fifa to put regulations in place, I don't know what the answer is, maybe they should block such takeover bids like the ones we have seen. Also they should set a maximum wager for players. Top players today can earn as much as £100,000+ a week, now Im sorry but this is ridiculous. Lets not forget that this also encourages players from our country to play abroad, look at Beckham, Owen and Woodgate. They went to Spain because of the good weather maybe yeah, but lets not forget that you pay less tax over there.
If Fifa don't act soon, I can see a lot of clubs potentially going bust. As a football fan I feel this would be a catastrophe. I'm sure anyone into football will agree with me when I say it gives us lads something to talk about.
This site is very easy to use. Simply use the search engine and type in the product you are looking for. It then compares the prices of the product showing you what sites to buy the product from.
Once you are happy with the price simple click on the link and it takes you to that website. Sites like this exist through affiliates, if you buy a product through using this site then usually they will make a percentage out of the sale. This means that sites like this wont always get the cheapest deal, as some websites wont pay a percentage and don't offer this facility, most now do though.
I think Kelkoo is slightly better than this site, it tends to run quicker than Price runner, which at times runs a bit slow and takes a while to display the results. Sometimes if a website isn't displayed that you think might do it cheaper still then its always worth looking.
When shopping online, its always better to use shopping sites your familiar with, or ones that have a good reputation, then you are mmore likely to feel safe using them, knowing that delivery should turn up on time.
Using this site to compare prices will always display different results to another price comparison website like kelkkoo, but I'd recommend using this because its easy to use and can save you time in finding the better cheaper deal.
Play.com is a very useful shopping website. I have been using them for a couple of years now and delivery is usually within 3 working days. Amazon can be quicker tan Play.com, but this is because Amazon has bases in this country, whereas Play.com is actually based in Jersey.
Unlike shopping sites like Amazon though, all delivery is free. Amazon you have to spend at least £15 before delivery is free. Therefore you can just order 1 cd or dvd and have the satisfaction of getting it delivered free. Delivery comes via 1st class post, its simply posted throught your letter box.
Findng an item is as easy as any other website, simply use their search engine. Play.com have expanded their website like Amazon, now offering to sell toys, phones posters, ring tones, as well as the dvds and cds it was originally set up to sell.
Buying from play.com is easy. Creating an account with play.com is a simple 4 step process, firstly you enter your email address and desired password, then you have to enter your billing information and delivery information. Once you have done this and your account is setup, you willl be able to use the same account again and again when making future purchases on this site.
Buying from play.com tends to be cheaper than many sites, particulalrly when purchasing cds and dvds. This is simply due to the fact these items are vat free. However, there are many shopping sites out there, so its always advisable to shop around a little first. Like I said in my review on Amazon, Kelkoo and Pricerunner allow you to compare prices of products more easily.
I would recommend this site because delivery is always efficient, prices are reasonable and the site is easy to use.
