Right my bag now thats a pretty scary place to go, but i do love my bag. My bag is a pauls boutique bag which is brown with skuls on it and i love it. So lets delve in and see what i find!
1. Mascara - Now i always carry my makeup in my bag, i dont actually retouch my mascara during the day becuase it stays on but i keep it on me incase i stay at my links house. I currently use loreal collagen which is in a gold tube and its amazing. I naturally have long eyelashes but this makes them look superb and people often ask me where i bought my eyelashes from to which i reply there my own. They give a really good false lash look, thats not over the top it just makes them look good.
2. Foundation - I never leave home without. Up and until like 5 months ago i had never used powder and my nose would always get shiny through the day so i would have to put more foundation on it, then my mate showed me powder and i started living a new life ... well you know what i mean. I always have to carry foundation incase my makeup gets kissed off, whenever i kiss guys they always take it off, which drives me mad. Also i like to bring it with me for touch ups when i visit my man in jail as i like to look nice for him. I currently use the loreal brush foundation but this makes me face look a bit too shiny and its a bit dark as i picked up the wrong shade and i also use a maybelline one in golden, i think its lasting finish. Its pretty good but not amazing, i wouldent say its worth the £11 price tag.
3. Blusher - Like i said i always carry all the makeup i use around with me, incase i stay at peoples houses. My makeup does stay on but you know, its like a habit with me. I use maybelline blush mousse its a really lovely baby pink, coralista by benefit which is good but i cant really get into powder blushers, ive never really likes them and i also sometimes use benefit highbeam. I only carry one of these around though.
4. White eyeliner - Love this, makes me look really awake and lovely. I use collection 2000, i had a rimmel one too but its not very good. This wears off pretty quick as it goes on the water line, so i have to retouch a few times, but it takes seconds.
5. My purse - My purse is a baby pink pauls boutique purse which i love. Its a patent material with a gold pauls boutique sign which cost £18. It holds my cash, cards and a few coins. I only tend to keep £1 and 50ps in it, otherwise it bulges or does not close properly.
6. Tweezers - I dont really pluck my eyebrows but when i go and visit my man, the train journey is like an hour so i often think oh go on have a pluck.
7. Magazine - I am magazine obsessed and always have one, i read more, love it!, new, closer every week and occasionally star and reveal. There all around a pound and often have a few good stories or beauty tips and i can see the latest fashions.
8. Pen - I just started carrying one about, believe me everyone should there really usefull.
9. Stamps - As my partner is in jail and i write too him, i always have stamps on me There always handy anyway for them days when you have forgotten someones birthday etc,
10. Mobile phone - My phone actually really annoys me so its on silent and no vibrate, so i have to guess if someone texts or calls. I just look at it every so often. I only put it on volume if i know someone important is going to ring me.
11. Job centre printouts - Them annoying things you have to print out when you sign on, to prove your looking for work. Though i hate that machine as nearly all the jobs want experinced people, do they not realise most people who sign on dont even know what a job is! I mean i do, i worked at william hill, which i really do not recommend because its a very violent atmosphere, i was just lucky as im pretty and sweet and a girl and all my customers loved me ... Until i got fired lol, but they still miss me and ask about me.
12. Tissues - Always handy especially now winter is coming, or i also use them under my eyes to get rid of smudged mascara.
13. Vaseline / Lipbalm - I actually hate vaseline becuase for some reason it dries out my lips, but i have it anyway just in case. I currently have the pink rosy tint one which smells lovely and has a nice pink sheen to it, its very subtle but looks nice.
14. My passport and a bank statement - I always get ID the other day i got ID in a william hill and got angry and said i worked in district 072 how can you ID me lol. But yeah when i go clubbing / pub / or for job interviews i always need ID and my passport is all i have even though its out of date. I also have a bank statement as when i visit my man you need to have proof of adress and id.
15. Visiting orders - I always keep them on me as i often forget things and i wouldent want to go all the way to bedford from london and not have what i need! I forgot my proof of adress once but as im there all the time they allowed me.
16. Scrap paper - Just incase i need to write something down. You never know eminem could be walking along and ask for my number and he might of forgotten his phone.
17. Bottle of water - I always have water as i drink sooo much, i have roughly 5 -6 litres a day, which is alot i know but i get so thirsty otherwise.
18. Keys - Well thats pretty obvious why, i hate being locked out, i mean sitting on your doorstep isent the best of looks.
19. Umbrella - I always have one as the weather in london is so unpredictable and as i straighten my hair i dont want it too get wet.
20. Kirby grib and a hair band - There always usefull, in case i want to push back my fringe or tie my hair up.
21. Face powder and brush - I currently use the collection 2000, i didint actually use to use cheap brands but this is pretty good and its mineral makeup aswell. It did come with a brush but i brought my own which was £5 from superdrug and its really good.
So there you go thats whats in my lovely bag, yes it does sometimes get a bit heavy and cramped in there, but atleast i know i have everything i need.
Now as a girly girl who likes to feel clean and fresh and likes to be well exfoliated for a tanning application, im always on the look out for a good old scrub. I mean so many scrubs dont even work brilliantly and i always find something better like i did with you snap the whip. Lushs exfoliators arent like the kind you buy in boots, first off the naked ( whistles ) while the ones you get in boots are in jars or tubs or bottles. These ones are solid, just get it in your hand and your good to go. No more faffing with trying to get lids off which can be hard with wet or soapy hands. Its always sitting there waiting to get onto your body.
Application: Right its rather simple, jump in a shower and get fully wet and then when your about to use it turn the shower off, as if you get the product too wet it will wear away without you even using it! If your using it in the bath ( like me ) then realx and soak for a few minutes so your nice and moist and then stand up, if you lay down then your going to be using it underwater and it will just say bye bye. So next you start rubbing your body in circular movements towars the heart so thet the circulation gets boosted aswell. On some areas this will feel very scratchy so proceed with caution. I always rub vigourisly on my stomach, bum, thighs and upperarms to help get rid off my cellulite and the red bumps that you get on the tops of your arms ( which are actually a form of mild execema ). I rub lighter on the bottom halfs of legs as it can scratch you because of the pieces of charcoal. If you have sensitive or broken skin then i wouldent recommend it as it could hurt you. Once you have had a good scrub then rinse off all the residue. Make sure you get it all off, as purple / black stuff on your body and little gritty bits of charcoal is never sexy!
Now a word of warning after use please put it out of reach of sun and water, if you leave it in sunlight then it melts and thats just aload of extra cleaning that you really dont want to do and if you leave it somewhere watery then it will also just run and then you wont get too use your product. So leave it on a little dish or on a dry and cool area.
Colour : Its a lovely very deep purple / black colour. It dosent look offensive, it just looks like a big lump of blackcurrant goodness. Make sure that your bath is one that is stain proof however as this could easily stain. After your bath or shower, always rinse any bits that have the product on them.
Smell : The smell is absolutely gorgeous it smells like blackcurrant fruit pastilles, its really lovely and would be a hit with children too. Its not sooo overpowering that you would feel sick, but you can really smell it and this makes the scrubbing process so much more enjoyable. Its also suitable for male and female as it isent musky in a manly way or flowery in a womanly way. Its a lovely fruity smell, it also lingers on the skin for a little while but not all day. Plus it does scent your bathroom all day!
Price and avaliability : Well as its a lush product you can only buy it in lush or you could have a look on ebay. You can either pop into one of there stores or buy online www.lush.co.uk. It currently costs £5.50 for 100g but lush prices inflate like jordans breasts. Also if you purchase in store they often give you free samples which is always a bonus. However be warned the staff are so annoying and in your face, i was in a store for 2 minutes the other day and 4 workers tried to help me, which i really hated it, as i like to be able to browse in peace and not be asked if ive tried this and that etc.
Ingredients : Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Organic Macadamia Nut Oil (Macadamia ternifolia), Laureth 4, Powdered Charcoal, Pumice, Perfume, Bergamot Oil (Citrus aurantium bergamia), Cassis Absolute (Ribes nigrum), Cypress Oil (Cupressus sempervirens), *Limonene, *Linalool
As you can see there are loads of lovely natural ingredients and the main ingredient is cocoa butter which is lovely and moisturising.
Overall : I would definelty recommend, its my all time favorite lush product. It smoothes, moisturises ( not as much as buffy however ) , tones, helps with cellulite, helps get rid off red bumpy arms, smells amazing and gives a very good scrub. You dont get very many full body uses i get about 2 or 3, but i still think its worth it. If you break it into smaller chunks you can get more uses, but i prefer having the large block in my hand as i find it easier. Its just like a small bar of magic.
Now sadly some of us ladies remain pale 24/7, i mean i could sit in the sun for a year and still never get a tan and no i dont burn and then tan either, which i dont understand why people would want to do anyway! All i do is go red or burn. So i tend to keep out of the sun as i would prefer to be white then red but of course all in all i want to be brown or golden. Now im not saying i want to be crazily tanned like a certain chloe victoria/mafia from x factor, but yes i would like to look fairly dark. Often when i use tan it comes out really lightly on me, even if i use lots of coats, so i recently got a spray tan gun which is pretty good. But when i dont have much money or i dont have enough time to order online and wait for delivery then i go and buy my st moriz. Now st moriz is pretty hard to get hold off, i buy it from a store called savers which is in wood green in london for the lovely price of £2.49. Now i no your probably thinking £2.49 its going to be aload of rubbish well no actually is fairly good and believe me i have tried tans ranging from 99p to £39!! Those prices were all for do it yourself tans and not for spray tans. I know many women feel better with a tan and im one of them, its instant confidence in a bottle and makes you look slimmer and more healthy. Im not being funny but when you look as pale as me you look a bit ill.
I orginally wasent going to try it because its meant to be a st tropez dupe and i actually really dont like st tropez. But i thought aw you may aswell for this price. So i paid my money and i was on my way. Now fake tanning can be a tricky buisness as many things can go wrong, so ill tell you a few little tricks to help you :
1. Too dark - Now some people actually go out with the colour guide as they dont have time to wait for it to develop etc. Sometimes you slap on some much it just looks ridiculous and because the guide is darker than the after tan, you sometimes just forget that your not going to be washing it off until after you have been out. So all you need to do is get an old towel and start gently buffing your skin or get a buffing mitt, this will get rid of excess tan and make sure that your good to go
Now if your after tan is too dark, then you can either exfoliate, get a pair of gloves from superdrug there only like £2 and put lots of shower wash on them so you get a lather when your exfoliating. Not only will this help lighten your tan but it will also get your circulation going and help get rid of old skin cells. You can also bathe in some milk, yes i no it sounds crazy but it really works or also salt. If your tan is super dark then go swimming the chlorine really gets rid of it, plus its brilliant exercise.
2. Streaky - Now im sure everyone has had the dreaded streaky tan and yes it does look pretty bad but you can help it. You can either do the above to get rid of it, or exfoliate really well on the streaky bits to even it out. Or you can apply a new layer straight away if your not going out, just make sure you apply it as evenly as you can. Or if you have to go out and dont have to time to get rid of it buy some instant tan like rimmel. I had old tan on my legs and i didint have any gloves so i slapped some rimmel on and it completed covered all the streaks! You can also just apply another coat of normal tan but i dont actually really like going out until ive washed it off, i always sleep in it and wash off in the morning, as i dont like the smell and yes i can always smell the colour guide sadly.
3. Uneven application - With uneven application its basically the same as when it straky, just apply another coat to balance it out. Make sure before you tan to exfoliate very well as this will make sure that the application is as smooth as possible as noone wants to go out looking like they have a botched tan.
4. Too light - If its too light then simply reapply more layers. With st moriz i have to do about 8 layers to get a fairly dark colour. I do about 5 coats one after another and then 3 more the next night. Im sure your thinking thats alot, but one coat comes out extremely light, when you use it you will see what i mean. As it is so light its good for novice tanners or people who just want a touch of colour. But yes if like me you like to look reasonably dark then i would recommened atleast 4 coats.
5. Stained palms and feet - Stained palms, hands and feet is my pet hate. It looks absolutely awful and really cheap and tacky, so i always avoid it. When i apply my tan i always use a tanning mit, there only about £2 to buy and they make application alot easier and also stop your palms going orange, as palms and feet absorb alot of colour. If you dont have a mitt ( please buy one ) use a very thick sock. If you really dont have anything to use, then a trick to get it off is too use lemon juice. Rub it on your palms and feet and it will really help lighten it because of the acid. Rub for a few minutes rinse and repeat, as these are only small areas its very quick and easy to do. When i need to apply tan to my hands, i pump some of the tan onto the back of my hand and then rub them together backwards so the backs of your hands rub together, then none of then tan goes on your palms. Remember that having stained palms and hands really gives away that the tan isent your own.
6. Dark elbows, knees and feet - Now all these areas suck up tan like there sponges so you need to apply a layer of thick moisturiser to these areas, this will make sure that then tan dosent come out dark on these areas, as pale looking legs and dark looking knees is never a good look.
So on to the tan st moriz is a mousse, i personally like mousse tan the best as its so quick and easy to apply and it dries nice and quickly. St moriz is a quicky drying tan which is great, as i hate tan that seems to just sit on your skin for hours and not sink in. It comes out a brown colour, this is what is known as a colour guide which prevents you missing bits as you can see any white areas. I find this especialy usefull on the back, as when i turn around to look in the mirror at my back i can always see white bits and if it wasent tinted then i would always miss them. Now the guide also means that you can wear it out straight away but i never do this, as i dont like the smell. St moriz dosent actually smell to bad, but i find as it develops it does get a slight smell which i dont like, so i wouldent feel comfortable hitting the tan smelling like it, also if it rains it will run which is never a good look. I always leave the tan in overnight i apply it around 9 or 10 at night and then wash off at around 10 the next day. I advise to always leave it on for atleast 8 hours, so it fully absorbs into the skin. If you wash it off too early then it wont of started developing and it will go straight down the drain which is a waste of time, money and effort. So yes make sure you leave for atleast 8 hours. Then simply jump in the bath or shower and wash it off. You will notice alot of brown colouring going down the plughole, but do not be alarmed as this is prefectly normal, its just the guide washing off. With st moriz you will notice than when the guide has come off you will look a it lighter asthe initial guide is darker than the after tan, so to achieve a darker tan you will have to apply it a fair few times. Now i dont find that this tan lats very lonf before speckling and wearing off, it lasts about 3 days, so i make sure i apply it every 3 days and i also exfoliate every 2 - 3 days to stop it going patchy. Also make sure you moistuise as this will help to stop it from wearing off unevenly and will keep it looking good. When you bathe or shower make sure you pat yourself dry as if you rub when you dry it will make it wear off faster. Also like all tans it fades of the face alot quicker, so you have to apply it more often. I actually dont use it on my face though as it brings me out in spots, i think the formulation is slightly too strong for the face, it also makes my face feel dry. So i would recommend using a fake tan espcially for the face, st moriz currently does not have one or just use makeup like i do. Make sure you get a slightly darker foundation than usual though or your face will be a different colour too your body or use a good bronzer to help balance it out. Now its currently fairly hard to get hold off and you cant buy it in normal shops like superdrug or boots, i buy it from savers and this is the only place that ive seen it or you can get it online for around the same price, but obviously p and p will make it a bit more pricey. I find that it does dry very quickly and i can get dressed like straight away, but it can and does go on your clothes, so wear darker colours, it does wash off though. Also it will go on your sheets and i hate it when my sheets smell of fake tan, so you will either have to make sure you wear pyjamas or just wash your sheets, its a small price to pay for a good tan. When i apply i start at my feet and work my way up yo my neck, i use quick brushing strokes , making sure that it is applied evenly and no bits are missed out. As this is a mousse it is alot easier to get an even application with. It is best to apply it near when you go to bed, as if you keep using the taps or drinking then it can splash your skin and then tan wont look as good.
Application for perfect results :
1. Get a pair of fairly rough exfoliating gloves and give your body a good old scrub, so that all the dead and old skin goes away. If you tan new skin then the tan lasts alot longer becuase old skin will be wearing away quicker.
2. Apply a generous amount of moisturiser on to feet, elbows and knees to prevent them from going to dark. I dont recommend moisturising the whole body as this will make the end tan alot lighter because it dilutes it.
3. Make sure that toyour fully dry and apply mousse to a tanning mitt.
4. Apply in long sweeping movements startinf from the feet upwards, making sure not to miss any areas.
5. Apply tan to body parts in this order, feet, legs, bottom, stomach and hips, chest, neck and arms, back, arms. Its best to leave the arms until last as obviously you are using your arms when you applt it, so if you apply it too your arms when your applying then it will rub off onto other areas before it has the chance to dry. Then apply with a sponge to your face if you are doing your face.
6. Look for any patches or white bits and apply the tan too these areas.
7. Wait for the tan to dry and then reapply to any areas you wish to be darker, i do another full body application straight after ( well 4 ).
8. Look in a mirror to check that ou have done your whole body, let dry and then get dressed.
9. Have a good sleep and then wash off in the morning. Dont use strong shower gels of citrus products as this will strip the tan quicker. Pat dry dont rub!
10. Reapply every 3 days to keep your tan looking good. On the bottle its says apply every 5 - 7 days for a lighter tan but by then the tan has started wearing away and dosent look as good, so ignore the bottle. Moisturise every day to keep the tan looking as good a possible.
So do i recommend? Yes and no, for me then tan is too light even after numerous applications which i find very annoying as doing alot of applications is very tiring, but for the price i cant really complain. I find this tan the best for paler people as it is light, if your looking for a dark tan then i dont recommend. The smell isent very nice but its bareable compared to many others that ive smelt. It also dries quick and it never streaks on me, which is great. For £2.49 definetly give it a try, i do find it is better than st tropez but then again i dont like st tropez. So yes its a decent cheap tan thats does what it says, if it was darker it would be perfect, also as it is a mousse its super easy to apply.
Have fun xx
Now we all love a bag of crisps, i mean they take no effort do they, just open the bag and eat. Yes yes we no there not very healthy and we no our waistlines dont need the extra calories but sometimes you still want them. Now i adore monster munch pickled onion and flamin hot but i prefer pickled onion a tiny bit more. I find that they have the taste balance perfected and i always enjoy them.
Taste and texture : Well i am going to talk about pickled onion monster munch, so the taste is indeed very pickled oniony with a slight sweetness to it to combact the tang of the vinegary taste. The taste is very strong but not overpowering and the sweet and the more tart blend together to make a too die for taste. Now the crisps are shaped like sort of paws/hands and they have four fingers on each crisp. They claim there meant to be monsters feet but i think they look more like hands. The texture is slightly rough which makes them very crunchy to eat, there also pretty loud when your chewing them. A slight warning though if you have mouth ulcers, chapped lips or cuts in your mouth, there is a very good chance that these will burn your mouth, i had a cut in my mouth once and these causes a mini fire in my mouth, which took about 3 minutes to extinguish. There also melt in the mouth so if you leave it in for a few seconds it will melt.
Smell and colour : They smell very rich and you really get a good hit of the strong vinegary pickled onion smell, i like the fact that they do indeed smell authentic to the flavour that they are. They are a bright golden yellow colour which dosent look too unnatural as the colour is quite neutral. There not as unrealistic looking as lets say wotsits.
Where can i get them from and cost : Well everywhere as they are so popular. You can buy single bags from your local newsagents which will cost in the region of 40 - 50p, my local shop charges 41p or from a supermarket or even a pound shop. My local pound shop sells a 10 bag which contains four packs of pickled onion, 3 packs of beef and 3 packs of flaming hot. So as you can see pickled onion is the favorite flavour and also multipacks work out a whole lot cheaper. Each bag also has a different monster on the front which is always fun for children, well unless there scared of them.
Maize, Vegetable Oil, Pickled Onion Flavour [acidity Regulators (Sodium Diacetate, Citric Acid), Wheat Rusk, Lactose (From Milk), Onion Powder, Flavour Enhancers (Monosodium Glutamate, Disodium 5'-ribonucleotide), Hydrolysed Soya Protein (Contains Wheat Derivatives), Flavourings, Sweetener (Aspartame)], Salt, Wheat Flour.
Eh not too bad i guess, crisps arent ever going to be healthy now are they! You can also kid yourself and say oohhh maize thats very healthy. They also have 108 calories a packet which too me is pretty low.
Overall : I love these crisps and think your a real winner, there perfect for adults and children and make a good fairly filling snack. They are also baked not fried which does make them slightly healthier than what they could be. Theres a choice of three flavours so im sure you will find one that will tickle your tastebuds. But pickled onion will always win with me, unless i have cuts in my house again!
Now im sure im not the only person that loves a nice packet of crisps. There perfect for when your on the run, have know other food or cant be bothered to make anything. Wotsits have always been a strong favourite of mine as they taste delicious and have a good strong flavour. Sometimes i like plain crisps, but when im looking for something with a bit of va va voom ill get these. Im sure pretty much everyone has tried wotsits and if you havent you must, as your missing out. I mean they turn your fingers orange so you pretend your an essex girl.
Taste and texture : Now im sure you would never off guessed this ... but there really cheesy. The cheese taste is very strong and in your face and as soon as you open the bag, you are hit with the ultimate cheesy smell. I find the smell quite nice but i know some people would find it too much. Also it leaves a smell on your fingers so you will have to wash them and not just lick them clean. Now they are curled puffs, there small enough to pop a few in your mouth in one go. The puffs melt in the mouth quickly so you either chew them like normal while there still crunchy or leave them in your mouth too melt. Its also a good choice for children as even though of course they could still choke because there a small size and they melt it would be harder for them too get lodged in there throat. Normal walkers crisps really hurt when there trapped in your throat and they feel like there cutting me, which is really not very pleasant. There are also only 101 calories which for crisps is a fair amount.
Smell and colour : Bright radioactive essex girl orange. They are seriously orange because off the all the cheese flavouring, it dosent look like the most natural colour, but hey recently companies have been getting stricter with colourings and flavourings, so there not as chemical filled as they used to be. They smell very cheesy, so id say its best not too eat them in front of someone you want to impress, as orange fingers and cheesy breath as funnily enough not very appealing! I'd say the authorities would give these crips an asbo.
Where can i get them from and cost : Everywhere from a petrol station to a supermarket. You can buy them individually or in multipacks. Multipacks always work out best value and also you can get mixed flavour bags with the other wotsit flavours of really hot and prawn cocktail. I do rather like the prawn cocktail ones aswell. They cost about 45p for a standard bag and like £3 for two multipack bags. Shop around for deals and make sure yourself a saving.
Maize, Vegetable Oil, Cheese Flavour (Cheese Powder (7%), Whey Powder (From Milk), Flavour Enhancer (Monosodium Glutamate from Wheat), Colour (Paprika Extract), Natural Flavouring.), Salt, Wheat Flour.
I am quite impressed with the ingredients i must say as there are hardly any and i actually know what they all are! Usually there are a few which ive never heard of in my life, but with these there isent which is very reassuring. We all know crisps are not super healthy, but these seem like a much healthier option.
Overall : I would definetly recommend them, there perfect for adults and children and are a good filler for a lunchbox. They have a good strong taste and are melt in the mouth. Even if you dont really like cheesy things id say give them a try as they might just suprize you.
Have fun :D xx
Now im sure that everyone knows thats quavers are crisps and if you don't then im afraid you may need a trip to the doctors. But don't worry because he will guard you on the golden path to quaverdom. Sadly quaverdom does not actually exist, but im sure your local shop will have them anyway.
Now i love crisps, maybe a bit too much. Ill eat six packs in a row or a big bag, but i justify it as the bag is half full of air and crisps are not exactly filling. In fact they seem to make me more hungry. Now my favorite makers of crisps is of course walkers, even though there stingy, the taste more than makes up for it and ever since i was young i have loved quavers. There the sort of crisps that most people remember from there youth and there still going strong today.
Taste and texture : Now quavers are a cheesy crisp not as in your face as lets say wotsits, but a good mild and creamy cheesy taste. There very moreish and have the right balance of flavour, sometimes chessy crisps are way too overpowering. The taste also doesent linger in your mouth for ages which is great, especially if you want some kissing action. They come in the shape of curls and are just over an inch long, the perfect size to pop into your mouth. They also have a rough texture which i like, but if you have cuts on your tongue these will rub against it and burn your tongue like me :(.
Smell and colour : They have a good scent of mild cheese, its not so overpowering that when you open the bag your blown away and they are a light pale yellow in colour. However sometimes when they seem to add a bit of extra flavouring to them they go a bit more yellow / orange, if they look like this, they will taste more cheesy.
Where can i get them and cost : You can get them from your local corner shop to your big bully supermarket. They cost roughly 45p a bag or you can get a multipack, they often do mix and match on crisps and have two bags for £2 or £3 pounds depending on how many packets are inside. Some of the multipacks also contain the two other flavours of salt and vinegar and prawn cocktail, which i am yet too see in a shop.
Potato Starch, Vegetable Oil, Cheese Flavour (Whey Powder (From Milk), Flavour Enhancers (Monosodium Glutamate, Disodium 5'-ribonucleotide, Flavouring, Milk Powder, Cheese Powder, Butter Acids, Soya Protein, Colour (Paprika Extract, Sulphite, Caramel)), Rice Flour, Soya Flour, Salt, Yeast, Onion Powder, Pepper, Wheat Flour, Colour (Annatto
Now i do not understand all of the ingredients either but lets all play a game of lets pretend. Monosodium glutamate which is really a flavour enhancer is now fairy dust and sulphite is really daisies. There is however lots of normal sounding stuff like cheese ( i hope you know what that is ) and milk powder. Ok now we understand the ingredients we can eat without guilt.
Overall : I really do like these and they are low calorie too, at only 87 calories per bag and if you cant stop at just one, then there a perfect snack, obviously all in all crisps are not very healthy, but they are one of the healthiest ( or we can just pretend they are ). They are also suitable for vegetarians, so often i see crisps that are not even meat flavours and vegetarians still cannot eat them, becuase there is some sort of animal product in them, which is very unfair. There perfect for children as they will like the shape and of course the taste and also adults will love them. They have a good flavour and just generally taste good. I think walkers have done really well for themself with quavers ( and if you dont agree i will be waiting for you under your bed ). There also perfect for tucking in to your childrens lunch box. So run, skip, hop or jump, to your local shop and get a pack and even if you dont like them ( which you will ) you can relive childhood memories.
Have fun :D xx
Right as ive used the shampoo and reviewed it, i had to review the conditioner aswell to make it fair. Now im sad to say, it wasent much better than the shampoo. I dont understand how this has 5 stars either your all drunk or you have the most fabuolous condtion hair and you dont actually need conditioner. Unlike me who would have no hair left if she didint have a good conditioner!!
So whilst i was in my local pound shop i brought a bottle of this. The bottle does feel cheap but we all no not to judge a book buy its cover dont we. So i bounced to the counter to pay and picked out a merry pound from my purse ( yes it is a bargain ) and left the shop. I ran a bath, shampooed my hair and then applied the conditioner all over my hair.
Quick tip - Use a comb to make sure the conditioner covers every hair strand, often when your apply conditioner you only apply it too one side of the hair, which will eventually make the non conditioned bits of your hair more brittle. Also after you have washed your conditioner out, rinse your hair with cold water, as it closes the cuticle and enhances shine. If you cant stand cold water like me, lie back in the bath and pour a bottle of water over your head, that way the water will only go on your head and not run down your back causing you too scream obsenities because of the coldness.
Smell : Now just like the shampoo it is soooo overpowering, its like a kids party gone wrong. Usually real strawberries smell subtly sweet and lovely, but this is just horrendous its so sweet it makes me dizzy. I dont really understand why it is quite so sweet as it claims to contain strawberry extracts. They must mean from a strawberry sweet because i am definetly sure the strawberries i eat are not like this at all. It does scent your hair but after you have washed it out its not quite as overpowering, but too me its still to strong and if i had to smell it all day i would go crazy. Be warned when i smelt it in the shop it didnt smell quite so strong.
Use : Well its rather simple, apply a large dollop all over your hair, i find i need a handfull with this, which is alot but if use less it does not feel like its properly on my hair, so its not quite as cost effective as it seems. Its easy to rub in and rinse out which is good, as sometimes you get them conditioners that are a nightmare and weigh your hair down. However i find it does not condition my hair at all, which for a condtioner that is especially for dry and damaged hair is appaling. Do you not want me too have any hair left!??! If you had super condition hair like my mum then maybe it would work better for you. It also does not leave my hair shiny or looking healthy, so it really does nothing.
Avaliable : Well everywhere from your local supermarket to a pound shop, its only £1 and often on offer for 3 for £2 which is a good price and you could mix and match different ones to find one that you do like. There are many different flavours like tea tree and apple and raspberry, so im sure you would find one you like. However for me none off them cut the mustard. ( No i dont get that saying either, but you no what i mean ).
Can buy anywhere
Lots of different scents
Easy to wash out
Makes my hair feel dry
No noticable differences to my hair
Need to use alot
Overall : So would i recommend it ...... uh nah! It really is useless and does not help my dry hair at all, the soy proteins and pro vitamin b5 dont seem to do very much now do they. You may find another conditioner in the brand that smells better and works for you, but for me i hate them all. Ill stay with my herbal essences for now. Also the smell is enough too make me throw up. So for me i just threw them straight in the bin.
Have fun :D xx
Now in life there are many things to do and washing our hair is one of them. For me i need a very good shampoo as i often leave oil or conditioner in my hair over night. Years of going from black to blonde to dark brown to platinum has ruined my hair, so im unable to just wash my hair i need to leave some sort of condtioner on it overnight, poor me :(. Also i like my hair to smell yummy, as my ex partner once said to me you need to wash you hair, to which i replied why what does it smell like and he said hair lol.
I was in my local pound shop dancing around ... well i was walking i dont want to look mad! When i saw this, i had heard alot about this brand and knew it was cheap anyway so i thought go on girl. I decided on the strawberry version, as fruity smells are very appealing to me. Its always nice to have a fruit salad on your head! So i strutted to the counter and bought it along with the condtioner. There are also many other flavours like blueberry, apple, raspberry and so on and there all for different hair types. But to be honest i dont pay attention to what hair type its for as i never find it makes much of a difference, i just go on smell.
Smell : Now this one is a bit funny because when i smelt it in the bottle it was nice sort of like those stawberry sweets you can buy, but when i used it in my hair, it was sooooo sickly sweet. Now real strawberries have a subtle sweetness, but this ... oh lordy me, i dont know what kind of strawberries they were basing it on. The conditioner also smells exactly the same. However it does not deeply fragrance your hair afterwards which is good as it would be very unpleasant and would make me dizzy if it was super strong all day. It isent like my beloved herbal essences.
Use : Well its rather easy to use its a rather thick sort of cream, but i need to use loads, so really it does not even work out that cost effective because you need to use so much and my hair is only shoulder length. It does get rid of all the gunk in your hair though and leave it squeaky clean but it also leaves my hair really dry. For a shampoo and conditioner range thats for dry and damaged hair it should be making my hair more supple but it drys it out more. So the soy milk proteins and pro vitamin b5 in it dont seem to do very much!
Avaliable : Well everywhere ive seen it in morrisons, superdrug, pound shops and so on and its always £1 or 3 for £2, so if you were to try it out then you wouldent be losing alot of money. You could also mix and match flavours to see what suited you the most.
Smell if you like to smell crazy sweet
Cleanses very well
Very cheap and lots of different scents
Smell makes me wanna be sick and makes me dizzy
Needs alot of product to work
Drys my hair
Overall : Yes it does cleanse hair thoroughly and yes it is very cheap but it does not cut it. It states on the back of the bottle it has most of the same ingredients as more expensive brands etc, which it made do, but they dont seem to have got the formulation quite right. I like to swish my hair around .... well my extensions .... well the women whose hair it was, that has now become mine and be able to smell a lovely scent but its too sickly sweet and thats very off putting, it also does not leave any noticable changes to your hair, my hair doesent even look shiny after use. Plus even after leaving olive oil in my hair overnight, the next day my hair was still dry after washing and thats really not a good thing. So alberto i think you need to rethink your formulas, you may cleanse, but you dry out my hair and i need alot of product for you too work! If i wanted my hair to be dry then i would use soap. Naughty shampoo!!!
One to avoid x
Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, its me again with more lush! Muahahaha! On a more serious note we all need a bit of scrubbing in our life. A cleansed face equals a cleansed aura, well it dosent but lets pretend :). Now the little diamond i am going to be telling you about today is mrs coal face, she can also be used to make your face black and you can pretend your a miner. Hi ho! The best thing about lush is the products in there are all so fun, different and interesting. I mean where else when you get a black lump that looks like coal, or a squidy lump that stinks of fish eh?! Well the second one isent too nice, but the first is, so here we gooooo.
Application : Right now this is super easy to use, as its already naked ( whistles ) all you need to do is wet your face with warm water and then rub it all over, firmly on places like your nose to help get those blackheads out and softer on sensitive or spotty areas, as you dont want to aggravate or make your spots bleed. There are some bits that are smooth on the bar and some bits that are scrubby ( thats the charcoal ) , the scrubby bits are perfect for decongesting your face and pores and getting rid of dead skin cells, however the scrubbier bits tend to go quicker that the smooth bits, which is a bit annoying, but it still works well even without the scrubby action. The liquorice root decoction is also antibacterial which is great for keeping your skin spot free and cleaning up existing spots and its also moisturising too. Now i find it helps to bring my blackheads slightly more too the surface, so after a steam of the face they can just be popped out. The bar also absorbs excess sebum in the skin, so my face looks less shiny in the day. I mean no matter how pretty you are a shiny face is not a good look. Have you seen the shine from katie prices forehead? She could be a lighthouse its that shiny. Afterwards my skin is slightly dry but thats a normal occurence for me and i just follow up with a good moisturiser.
Colour : Well seeing as coal and liquorice is black, i think we can guess its black. Its fully black all over. Make sure you leave it on a dish or it will make your bath / sink black, it does wash off but its better to save yourself the work. I mean then you have more time for tv! I mean work :D.
Smell : Its an alright smell, but i know many people wont be too keen on it, it does smell of liquorice but its not too overpowering, i can bear it and im not a liquorice lover. So anyone who loves liquorice will love it!
Price and avaliabilty : Its only avaliable from lush but that was obvious. So you can go the store and be bullied ... i mean helped by there pushy ... i mean friendly staff. You may be able to tell, i dont like the staff or go online www.lush.co.uk. The site is very simple to navigate and tells you about the ingredients included in all the products which is a lovely touch.
It costs £4.15 for 100g at the moment. Be warned i said at the moment, lush seem to love changing there prices 24/7. Also they cut the products themselves and they rarely way 100g so dont pick up a large chunk and think wow all of this for £4 because it will probably be like £8, so make sure you read the wrapper or get them too cut it for you!!
Ingredients : Liquorice Root Decoction (Glycyrrhiza glabra), Propylene Glycol, Rapeseed Oil; Coconut Oil (Brassica napus; Cocos nucifera), Water (Aqua), Perfume, Sodium Stearate, Sodium Hydroxide, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, Powdered Charcoal, Sandalwood Oil (Santalum austro-caledonicum vieill and Fusanus spicatus), Rosewood Oil (Aniba rosaeodora), Glycerine, Sodium Chloride, EDTA, Tetrasodium Editronate, *Geraniol, *Linalool, Silver Edible Lustre
Now a nice thing about lush is you can understand the ingredients as funnily enough i dont actually know what coememahfjdidfndhfh 325654335778094 is do you? There are loads of lovely things like real liquorice, not just a flavouring or colouring or a poor extract and coconut oil which is great for the skin and lots of nice oils like sandalwood and rosewood, which really make you feel like your pampering yourself with a luxury good.
Overall : I would definetly recommend this, its scrubby, oil balancing and keeps your skin generally less shiny. It also helps to get rid of blackheads. It dosent really help my spots, but then again i only get spots around my jawline which are hormonal. I wouldent use it too take off makeup as i find it dosent do it very well and my foundation just goes all over the bar, so i have to keep rinsing it, which makes it shrink quicker. I use this in the morning and then another non lush cleanser at night. Also make sure you wash it all off, you often think you have but then when you look closer you will see some in your hair line and in the creases of your nose, a muslin cloth gets it off perfectly, but rinse the excess off first or your cloth will be black.
So for clean, fresh and decongested skin give this a whirl.
Have fun xx
Now i know many of have over indulged and our tops and jeans arent fitting quite so well, well this is the case for me. So i thought how can i lose a few pounds quickly and healthily but also reasonably tasty. I suddenly remembered jordan ( in a good way ) and remembered she had done a juice diet, which was very simple and quick and was full of vitamins and minerals. What you have to do is have 2 juices a day and then a normal main meal like fish and boiled potatoes and veg or a salad, you know something healthy. This juice really clears you out and makes your skin glow. So here is the recipe!
For 2 servings:
( I find it best to make 2 servings in one go as you have it twice a day and it can be time consuming and messy to keep remaking it and i dont always have time, it is better to have it freshly made, but if your busy just cover the rest with tinfoil and pop it in the fridge until lunch time. )
1 large can of pineapple chunks in own juice or half a normal pineapple. Do not get pineapple in syrup as that is just sugar.
Half of a lime, this will be squeezed by yourself
1/4 cucumber which you will need to cut into a size small enough for your juicer
1 large apple with the core removed and cut into pieces, unless your juicer can do this. My juicer can take whole apples so i dont need to cut them.
Large handful spinach, make sure you give it a quick rinse.
1/2 avocado, obviously the half with no stone
2 stalks celery, cut the end bits off
First off put your pineapple in the juicer and then add the cucumber and lime juice as soon as its ready. PLease use the highest setting so it is not lumpy. Then one at a time add all the rest of the ingredients. Give it one last whirl to make sure everything has been properly mixed together, then pour into a glass and enjoy. You can also add some ice.
Now make sure you juice it and done blend it, so that it retains all its nutrients, also be warned it is green, but don't let this put you off, i mean shrek is green and hes a nice guy! After the initial fright of the appearance it does taste pretty good and just think of it as weightloss and nutrition in a glass. Now you need to do this diet for 2 whole weeks which is long but it is worth it, you will be hungry i wont lie, but if you prevail you will get very good results. If you are quite overweight or are really not used to diets, i would allow yourself a bit of extra food, like some salmon on wholemeal bread or a small salad or a tin or sardines, something healthy.
So if you want bags of energy, clearer skin and too look less sluggish then give it a try. My skin looks really bright and healthy and my spots have drastically improved. I also have been waking up feeling alert and usually im always tired. Oh and i lost 5 pounds too.
Have fun xx
Now like many women i wear foundation, i however wear it everyday without fail, im sadly one of those girls who wont even go to the shop without makeup on. Obviously there are different types of foundation and all i ever hear about is how good mineral makeup is for your skin, so good infact you can sleep in it. I dont believe that the ingredients in this brand will be quite as pure as that of bare minerals even though they say it is but i thought hey its still worth a try! I mean this casper needs a bit of colour on her face.
Application : Now be warned mineral makeup is not like liquid makeup, it makes alot of mess, so you have to apply it very carefully or lay a towel out too catch any that falls. Now it comes with a flat and small brush which is useless and scratchy so i threw it away, i buy a powder brush from superdrug which is amazing and costs £5. Now i tip some of the minerals into the lid, swish my brush in it and then pat it on to me skin in circular movements. As you do this no matter how carefull you are some will go on you, the floor or the furniture, i got it all over my lovely £70 franklin and marshall jumper the other day, it does brush off and wash off easily, but i wasent able to wear it that day as it looked too dirty. It always can be washed off furniture, but id advise maybe doing it over your sink so you can just wash it down the plughole or laying out a towel or if you dont mind about the floor getting messy just tuck a tea towel or something into your top and then proceed. Now i dont actually like it as a foundation as i dont find it applies evenly to my skin so i use it as a powder after my foundation. My current foundation is pretty good but its not the most perfect application, its in the colour golden. After i apply my normal liquid foundation i pat this on instead of powder and it looks amazing! It gives a great finish and colour and feels light and keeps shine at bay. Alot of women dont like thick feeling foundation but my liquid one is light anyway, but this powder is really light. If you have dry skin though and you are using it as a foundation please moisturise thoroughly or you will look like a scabie face lol. So yes i actually use this as a powder to set off my regular liquid foundation and it does the job very nicely, i would not be able too use this as my everyday foundation as it does not apply to my skin very well and looks too matte, i cant really describe what i mean, but my face looks sort of flat. I tend to reapply to my nose during the day but thats becuase i get shiny and the shiny botox face look is not for me. ( Women who get botox have shiny foreheads, its a give away that they get it done ) .
Colour : Currently the minerals come in 4 shades, which isent great but hey its cheap!
I use honey and it makes my skin look a good colour too match my tanned body, its not super dark though and i use it even when i havent hit the bottle ( not in a phil mitchell way! Isent his acting amazing! ) .
Smell : The smell is slightly chalky but its not offensive. Just that regular chalky powder smell.
Price and avaliabilty : It costs £4.99 which is a fantastic price as it lasts a long time and is a 4 in 1 product, its a foundation, concealer, powder and sunscreen. So even if you didint like it ( im sure you can find a use ) you havent spent alot of money. You can purchase it in superdrug or online on there website. www.collection2000.co.uk.
Overall : I love this product and find it amazing as a powder, im not quite so keen on it as foundation but that may just be because im so use to my liquid foundation, so maybe it will grow on me. It keeps shine at bay and gives a good clean matte finish and i find the colours good for my light skin. Darker skins and tanned skins would have a problem. Its super cheap and easy to get hold off and lasts a long time. Its also 100% minerals so it allows your skin to breathe and does not clog your pores, you could even sleep in it without too much damage being done, but i hate sleeping in makeup. I have also noticed my spots are getting better since i have used this product!!! So yes i definetly would recommend it, its my powder off choice and im sure you will love it too, plus it has sun protection, hooray!
Have fun xx
Now i am an absolute fake tan addict, i know many people say that they are but i really am, i have probably tried atleast 50 different tans ranging from 99p to £39! Now this particular tan is a natural based tan that is extremely suitable for your face, i cant put regular tan on my face as it makes it go spotty and dry, but this one claims not too. Something that really annoys me is when people moan about fake tan and say its what fake girls use, like on snog marry avoid pod always moans about tan. Wll excuse me some of us no matter how long we lay in the sun for cannot tan! I do not tan, i do not burn and then tan, i burn and stay burnt and im not going to be another stupid english girl who goes around burnt, so i will use my fake tan. Plus bottled tan is far healthier to the sun anyway! So how did it go i here you scream .. well here we go.
Application : Now this tan is super easy to apply and is a gel, which is unusual as most tans are cream or mousse or a spray. Now as you only use it on your face its super easy to apply and is easy not too miss any bits. You can apply it your body but it works best on smaller areas becuase the bottle is very small and the ingredients dont clog your pores. Obviously your body does not get as spotty as your face. All i do is squeeze some of the bottle into my hand and apply in circular motions, quickly and evenly. I start with one thin layer and allow it dry and then apply another one. Dont apply loads in one go as it will take longer to dry, smell even coats are perfect. Now it takes about 2 minutes for this to dry which is great and as it is non tinted it does not come off on your pillows. The fact its non tinted may also be annoying to some people because you cant see if you miss any bits but as i only apply to my face this gives me no problems. My boyfriend is also very greatfull as whenever i stay with him i get foundation all over his pillows and him, but atleast my tan wont go on them or him!
Colour : Now how would i describe the colour???? ..... Hmmmm barely existent! Even after 2 coats, the colour is soooo light i can just about see it, im sure a telescope would help me be able to actually see it properly. Also the only area it seemed to tan was my bloody eyebrows and it dyed them a lovely shade of orange, which luckily my foundation can cover, but when im not wearing makeup jesus christ. Its mainly the area around my eyebrows you can notice the orange! And of course thats the area that is taking th longest to fade ... typical.
Smell : The smell is subtle when you apply but it does develop into a tan smell, its not the worst ive smelt but its not the best either. The main time i can smell it is in the morning, as i leave my tan to develop overnight, but the smell goes when you wash it off which is good.
How long does it last : Um 1 day, it seems to wear off super quick apart from the bits by my eyebrows and i have no idea why. I have been scrubbing at them and there still orange. So yeah thats a very poor amount of time to last. The odd bit off tan will cling too some places for more than a day but who wants a patchy face? Though saying that you can hardly see the patches anyway. I think pod might like this tan haha.
Price and avaliabilty : It costs £17.49 which i usually would not mind paying but after using it, its sooo not worth it. You can also only get it online from www.unreal.me.uk though i dont know why you would want too.
Ingredients : Now they do not list the ingredients but here are some of the things in it. It is also alcohol free which is great especially for sensitive skin. The main reason i brought this tan was because the ingredients sounded lovely but it diidnt work so i am very sad, i guess casper will be waiting for me. Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Sodium Hyaluronate, Sodium PCA, Glycerin and DL-Panthanol ,White Tea and Green Tea and Algae Extracts . So it has ingredients that hydrate and contain antioxidants. Why cant you work for me dam you!!
Overall : So yeah i love it! No im joking im hating it. It gives no good colour, makes my eyebrows orange, the bottle is tiny, it does have an after smell even though it says it doesent, its expensive for what it delivers and yeah generally everything is bad. At the moment ill stick to my st moritz for my body and use makeup on my face.
Looking like ive been on holiday to ireland is not the look i am going for!
A failure xx
I'm back with another lush review. This time im looking like shrek! I just gave my neighbour a fright, he just rang my doorbell and i went to the door and he jumped when he saw me and then he tried to act like he haden't which was very funny. Almost as funy as the time the bathroom decorator came round the house and took the cupboard off the wall, only for it to open and have 50 odd condoms fall on him, oh how i laughed. Anyway as im sitting with my mask on i though i would right a lovely little review about it.
Mak of magnamity is a super deep cleansing mask, that attacks those pores and blitzes those zits. Now most masks don't do very much, they promise the world, when in reality there offerings are very little. But this mask if like the powerpuff girls but instead of fighting crime it fights grime. Now this mark is a very deep cleanser and really goes deep down in to those pores. So if your going out in the evening or going on a date, i would not advise you too use it on the same day because it could brings out spots or white heads and i know that noone wants to go out somewhere nice looking spotalicious.
So how do you use it i hear you say? Well here we go.
1. Wash you face very well so that you get rid of all the surface dirt. There is no point putting a mask on dirty skin as then it has to work harder to get rid of surface dirt which is easily removed and it may not be able to penetrate so deeply.
2. Scoop some out and apply to your face, now you can leave your face wet or dry, but i like to leave it slightly damp, so i know im extra!
3. Leave on for 20 minutes or until completly dry, if it isent fully dry then it wont have done the best job it can do. I tend to put the mask on when im out of the bath, as the steam from the bath makes it take alot longer to dry. So i potter around the house or write a review whilst its on.
4. Rinse off. I use the shower head to blast it off, but you can use your hands or a flannel. Afterwards splash your face to close your pores, as leaving them open just lets everything back in again. A little note for you is hot water opens pores and cold water closes them. So use hot or warm water with your cleanser so it does its job properly and then use cold water, so the job stays done.
Now the thing i love about this mask is that it actually works and you can feel it working. It does not tingle or anything like that, but i sort of feel it walking into my pores, yes i know thats a weird way of describing it, but thats how it feels. The scent is sort of like minty potatoes, its an earthy smell but it is in no way offensive. I can pretend that the smell means i have been working in my garden digging up potatoes lol. I would not advise to eat while you have this mask on, as it can crumble in your food, like it just did to me. My only downfall with the mask is often there are lumps in the tub that look like rocks, i have yet to find out what these are, but you can easily get them out with your fingers. The mask is unisex and i even got my manly ex to use it and kids will love it because they can pretend to be a monster, if they are not already. As it deep cleans so much you can be left with spots and white heads but this just proves how deeply it cleans, the spots would of come out anyway, the mask just hurries up the process. It also is suitable for sensitive skin, my skin is combination but there are some delicate areas and this does not affect them.
Ingredients : Bentonite Gel, Kaolin, Honey, Talc, Ground Aduki Beans (Phaseolus angularis), Glycerine, Evening Primrose Seeds (Oenothera biennis), Peppermint Oil (Mentha piperita), African Marigold Oil (Tagetes erecta), Vanilla Absolute (Vanilla planifolia), *Limonene, Perfume, Chlorophyllin (CI 75810), Methylparaben
Bentonite and china clay pull all the dirt and gunk out of you pores and the ground aduki beans exfoliate and polish the skin leaving it looking healthy and renewed. It currently costs £7.50 for 315g and£4.25 for 125g. The larger one is the one i buy and it works out way cheaper. You can also use the mask even if it has gone out of date.
Makes skin look and feel healthier
Could scare people ( like me )
Smell for some
So yes i would recommend this mask, you may look like a monster, but you will be deeply cleansed and squeaky clean and you will smile because the mask actually lives up to its claims unlike many other products! So for super healthy and ahppy skin give it a whirl!
Have fun xx
Now as you may have seen i slightly ( yes this is an exageration ) like lush. I also slightly like exfoliating as i am a fake tan warrior and ambassodor. I was at lush having a good look around when i saw some sugar .... yes sugar .... but not any kind of sugar .... white exfoliating sugar! Ok ok i know you could probably make your own sugar scrub at home for next to nothing but hey i cant be bothered to do that! I had a look and thought hmmmm exfoliating sugar, but then i though wait aren't i sweet enough already? Well yeah but i guess you can always be sweeter :D So i strutted to the counter with my anti lush staff mechanism which creates a force field around me so that they can't try and sell me the rest of the shop! Just becuase i told the woman i liked pink, she tried to get me to buy the think pink gift!!!
So i took my little babe home with me and set to work. Now as you know sugar dissolves quicker than jordans resolutions to not get remarried. So you do have to proceed with EXTREME caution or it will be gone before you know it. There are two of these scrubs, there is also a green one which i have reviewed before ( its ebil!! ). This is the softer and less brutal one, so i thought what time is it? ITS CHICO TIME! Well no it was scrub time ;)
How to use:
1. Now you can do two things either just grab it and rub on your body or break its into bits and use it like that. I just use it whole, making sure water is well away!
2. Rub all over in circular motions, the best places to use it are on the thighs, stomach, rough areas like elbows. You can use it everywhere obviously but these are the best ones. Now when you exfoliate it gets the blood moving and pumping, which makes your skin glow and can help breakdown your cellulite. After you exfoliate drink a litre of water to help the body detox. Your skin will look alot better trust me!
3. Rinse off any remaining sugar and store the scrub in a nice and dry place.
The centre of the scrub also has a lovely and soft moistursing pink centre, which you can rub in for extra softening. Now sugar babe is not as brutal as her evil twin, but if you are to rough you will get scratched, which i would prefer to leave to my cat! But if you proceed carefully you will be fine. The scrub does exfoliate fairly, its not amazing but is pretty good and it does soften a bit especially as you get to the centre. It has not really helped with my cellulite but the cellulite areas do look healthier! Who knows maybe i''ll give elle macpherson a run for her money and become the legs .... or perhaps not!
Ingredients : Fairtrade Sugar, Sodium Bicarbonate, Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera), Cream of Tartar (Tartaric Acid), Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Mimosa Absolute (Acacia decurrens), Beeswax Absolute (Apis mellifera), Ylang Ylang Oil (Cananga odorata), Cocamide DEA, Lauryl Betaine, *Coumarin, Benzyl Salicylate, Perfume, Colour 73360}
There are lots of lovelies in there such as coconut oil which is meant to help with ecezema, i luckily do not get this but i know many people do :( , currently it cost's £2.60 which is ok i guess, but you do not get many uses and i think if you did your whole body you would get about 1 and a half uses to 2. But it has improved my skins condition. It also helps with those red bumps you get on your arm ( which are actually a very mild form of ecezema ). The smell is also pleasant and smells flowery but not overly so. Really flowery products do not appeal to me.
Moisturising to an extent
Helps skin condition
Can scratch you
Not the best exfoliator in the world
So all in all, yes this is a fair product, no it's not amazing but it does help and im sure everyone wants healthier looking skin. I would recommend this over the green scrub as it does not just attack you. It is also good for dryer areas like knees and elbows.
A foot? Can i see right? Ah yes it is indeed an alien foot! But what does this alien foot want from me? Well it wants to attempt to make my feet beautiful. Yes i have said attempt, i am sad to say it was an attempt that stayed at attempt. Aliens go back to your planet as your mission has failed.
Right i was at lush ( as usual ) with my boyfriend, buying some lovely bits, when the assistant pushed me into buying a little foot gift set sort of thing, with like 6 different full sized and sample sized items. One of the items was this citrussy and green foot. I was told that it was an exfoliator for your feet, yes your feet! So i though what a good idea, as feet often get dry and generally nasty looking.
So i ran a bath and got ready to use it. I grabbed it in my hands and looked it straight in the foot and got too work.
Now you do have to be very careful with this, as it fizzes like a madman whos had to much guiness. If you leave water to run on it, then it will run down the drain :( so a good idea is too break bits off and use it like that, so you atleast get some use! Now i broke off a large chunk that could give both feet a good old scrub. So i got scrubbing and found nothing happened! So i thought ok ill scrub a bit harder which just made it crumble. So then i crumbled it myself and rubbed it quickly on my foot, with my other hand underneath to catch any bits that tryed to escape and still this was to no avail. It got rid of NONE of the dry or hard bits and my feet are pretty good, so anyone with bad feet would just laugh at the sheer patheticness of this scrub. It made my feet maybe 0.1% softer. WOW! That is amazing ... not!
The smell however was lovely and citrussy and i did like sniffing it, but it was not made just to be sniffed at, it was made to end the misery of bad feet, which it did not do! It costs £2.75 which is so not worth it!
Ingredients : Sodium Bicarbonate, Pumice Powder, Citric Acid, Organic Cold Pressed Jojoba Oil (Simmondsia chinensis), Fine Sea Salt, Cocoa Butter (Theobroma cacao), Lemongrass Oil (Cymbopogon citratus), Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides), Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum), Lime Oil (Citrus aurantifolia), Lycopodium Powder, *Citral, *Geraniol, *Citronellol, *Limonene, *Linalool, Perfume, Colour 42090
It says it contains pumice powder, well its not a very good source of it now is it?! It contains some nice oils but thats about it. It dosent make your feet any softer or look any better. It also tends to escape very quickly, so you will have to imprison it.
The lovely smell, but who would pay £2.75 for a smell
Some nice oils
Um where are my soft feet?
Does not get rid of dry skin
Fizzes away quickly
So all in all i do not recommend at all! Spend your money on something else. Im sorry you little green feet aliens but you have failed your mission!
