My son was given this DVD for his second birthay and now, over a year later it is still his first choice DVD when asked what he would like to watch.
Basically it is a bunch of short cartoons with Mater as the star telling us first hand about all the jobs he has had over the years. These jobs include a 'matedor', an FBI spy, fire truck mater, a rock star and many more. Each little snippet is no longer than 5-10minutes long and are perfect at grabbing and keeping a child's attention. For an adult being made to sit through the DVD the stories are bare able and light hearted with a bit of humour here and there. Although Mater is the leading character Lightening McQueen features a lot too pulling Mater up on these tall tales and making him explain them.
The DVD is easy to watch and understand so suitable for children from 2 years but still entertaining for those beyond pre-school years. The repetitive phrase 'if I'm lying I'm crying' features throught the DvD and any child watching it quickly catches on to it and joins in at the appropriate time.
Definitely well worth the money paid.
A truly delightful book. This book was bought for my son by his Grandad in board book version when he was only tiny and it soon became a favourite of mine and his dads to read to him at bedtime, it has a lovely rythm running throughout the story you just can't help getting into it. As my little one got older he too loved the book and we have now read it so many times he often recites it to me as we go on car journeys otlr at bedtime we will read it together. It really is an excellent read, the illustrations are beautiful too, nice and bright and eye catching. The message behind the story is one to take note of too, can't praise the author enough for this book. A definite must have children's book and enjoyed by the young and old alike, never fails to make us smile.
I bought this system for my first born as I have to admit it was a major let down. When baby was uncared it in pram mode the carrycot sloped down at the head end so baby's feet were higher than head, I ended up having to roll a couple of blankets and tuck it between the seat unit and carrycot to stop it sloping. As child got olde, from about 18 months or so when you pulled the pushchair backwards the back wheels seemed to struggle to take the weight even though child was well within limits and the wheels pushed outwards meaning you could only pull it do far back before the wheels stopped turning.
Few advantages were raincover was easy to put on in a hurry, lockable swivel wheels and seat was lovely and padded but I would still not recommend this travel system to new parents at all.
Purchased this pram for my youngest son as it ticked all my boxes, car seat compatible and clipped straight to frame for quick shopping trips, nice comfy pram liner for when baby was firstborn with big hood and cosytoes because he was a winter baby and then once in pushchair mode it has the parent facing option, perfect!
The system itself is lovely, comes in gorgeous designs and is easy to push and great for all weather conditions, no hassle getting it through the snow which is always a bonus. The one major fault I have with it is the bulking as when folding it down and the fact you have to remove seat unit when folding, is time consuming and you need a large boot to fit it all in. I still love the pushchair for long walks from home but I have bought a new pushchair for in the car so your mode of transport will play a big part in wether this is the pram for you.
One of the best baby purchases I made. Bought for my first and he used it for 6months and my second has now been using it for 5months and it is still as good as new so definitely worth the money you Pay. This piece of equipment was great for when I had housework to do as I could place the boys in it and knew they were safe in one place and it kept them entertained for as long as I needed, they would have happily stayed in their for hours. With the lights, sounds, hanging animals and pop up tiger there is so much for them to do and take in that they discover something new each time they play! Seat can be fitted to three different height levels so grows with your child and springs are safely covered with material to stop little hands touching them. Definitely recommend it.
Bought this pushchair when my son was 4months old as my previous reversible buggy was way too bulky. I cannot fault the Bubble! It is lightweight, simple two step umbrella fold, fits in my small boot, a dream to push and manoeuvre when in both forward and rear facing positions, swivel wheels that can also be locked if need be. The pushchair comes in a variety of colours that are all unisex and is suitable from birth. Simple system to change sirection of seat, just squeeze lever at top of seat unit and pull forwards or backwards, straps fitted on both sides so no need to mess around with changing straps over and hood just turns inside out so no need to remove, takes seconds! Admittedly the basket is only small, fits raincover in perfectly but I hang changing bag and shopping bags on handles causing no problems when pushing or to my son even when he is parent facing. I recommend this pushchair to everyone and anyone, wishing had been around when my eldest was a baby, would have saved me a fortune when trying to find a pram I liked.
