Before I had purchased this product, I had never tried a stippling brush before. This brush claims to "Create a flawless base with this beautifully designed Stippling brush by Samantha Chapman, which helps you build coverage gradually for an airbrushed, high definition result." This brush retails for £11.99 in Boots stores and various websites online. Personally I think this is very affordable compared to MAC brushes and the like and for the excellent quality that it is. The brush has a pink, I believe aluminium?, handle and a flat rubber base which conveniently allows you to stand it up on a surface. The bristles are quite short (approximately 2 cm) and dense. The brush is very soft and stays soft even after multiple washes. It isn't scratchy on the skin nor does it shed. The densely packed bristles allow you to easily blend in foundation into the skin or concealer under the eyes. It is also convenient to blend cream blush and highlight or apply powder products lightly then build up the colour. I do believe that this product achieves its claims and does blend products much better at blending product than previous brushes I have tried to give a more professional finish. I have no faults with this brush and feel that it is definitely worth the money for its versatility and high quality finish that can be achieved.
"Lynx Attract For Her Body Spray perfectly complements the male scent and is driving guys wild with its fruity, floral and woody fragrance. A vibrant colourful mixture of succulent fruit creates an enticing fusion while floral notes leave a feminine accord." This Limited edition body spray is relatively new to the lynx range and the first body spray for women ( or so I believe) that lynx has come out with - aimed to compliment to the newly released attract for him. Packaged like the male lynx cans, this spray is packaged with a white and pink can with a black twist top which allows you to press the spray. Like the description states, this body spray is very sweet and fruity but also musky at the same time. Less strong of a scent to the male lynx range, you are able to spray more without choking yourself as men seem to do with their lynx. As a body spray, this fragrance is great to 'freshen up' but like other sprays the scent won't linger for too long and soon disappears. As a deodorant, spray seems to keep sweat at bay and your pits smelling nice and fresh. The price, £2.95 rrp, is much more expensive compared to other aerosol body sprays but is on more similar lines to deodorants. It is worth saying however that this had been frequently on offer, 2 for £3.50 or so or £1 off, which makes it more affordable. Overall I feel that this is a high quality product and something I will repurchase when I run out. I give this product 4 stars - one lost for the price and short lasting scent
This Cleanser/Toner comes is a simple clear 200ml bottle, that allows you to see the product inside and retails for just under a fiver from supermarkets, boots or superdrug. This product is different to anything I have tried before. Although I have tried 2 in 1 cleansers before, this product is different as it is much more like a toner in its runny liquid consistency. It pours out onto your cotton pad like a toner yet on the skin feels like a cleansing lotion. Amie advises to apply to a cotton pad and smooth across the face. Repeating until completely clean. I personally find with this, a large cotton wool pad, possibly folded in half, works best. The scent of the product is a very clean and plain scent, very unobtrusive. When using the cleanser I find that the cleanser spreads easily around the face to 'loosen' the makeup/dirt then you can buff in the cotton wool to better remove the makeup. I find that to remove what I feel is all of my makeup I have to repeat this process twice. Although this product doesn't irritate the skin on my face, I wouldn't recommend this on the eyes as it doesn't easily remove mascara and would irritate your eyes scrubbing to remove eye makeup with this. After using this I find that my skin feels smooth, moisturiser and surprisingly not tight, like many other skincare products. I do find, that many oilier skin tones may not like, that it leaves a residue on the skin after using it. However, with dry/normal skin this does not bother me. However I find that when following with the Amie moisturiser this residue somehow disappears. Overall I feel that this product is perfect for just using to refresh a clean face or removing light faces of makeup or for morning cleansing but this product struggles to remove heavier faces of makeup. I am yet to see if this product does any wonders for my skin or breaks me out however I can't say it has done anything spectacular. Unfortunately this isn't something i'd rush to repurchase.
I have dry(combination in the summer) and sensitive skin that is prone to breakouts on my forehead and on my chin (due to hormones). I have tried many skin care ranges to try and clear my skin and stop these breakouts and many have been unsuccessful. The Cleanser - Upon first using this skin care system (using the Renewing cleanser) I became very much aware of how harsh it was on my skin and how much it was irritating it - it was definitely not gentle. When I apply it to my skin it feels very tingly, much like a sting. The "tiny beads" are scratchy on the skin and had caused my skin to turn very flushed and it felt sore. I think this was because I had really buffed in the cleanser all over my face, when you really only need to dab it onto the skin and leave it. Upon using this for a second time, the night after, I only applied it to my forehead, which was less irritating to my skin but still felt tingly on the skin, deterring me to keeping this on my face for too long. After using the cleanser, my skin is left very smooth and appears clearer. I also found with this exfoliator that, if you use too much, when you try to remove the beads from your skin it was difficult and you are left with some on your face. However, experimenting with different removal methods, a damp muslin cloth is best. The Toner - This again, is definitely not as gentle as it claimed. When I first used this it felt very irritating on the skin as I rubbed it too much on the skin however when dabbing this instead - it is less harsh. I also found that the more I have used this, the less irritating it is on my skin. I often, when I'm feeling lazy or my skin is irritated, will skip the cleanser and just use this. It removes my make-up easily and is refreshing on the skin. It does leave a residue on the skin after using it, so you may feel the need to blot your face with a towel/tissue. Repairing Treatment - This lotion follows after the toner to defend against breakouts. I am not certain if this is supposed to act as a moisturiser or not but I use it as a spot treatment, that I apply all over my face, either before or after moisturiser. It is a thin cream that is easily rubbed into the skin and dries to a matte finish, making it easy to apply makeup on top. I do find that this won't reduce smaller spots however will reduce the appearence of breakouts over a larger area, such as my forehead. General Overview ProActiv advises to use this system twice daily but I have never done this as I feel it would irritate my skin too much but will perhaps reach for the toner or treatment in the morning then follow the full system at night if I feel my skin needs it. I have seen a visible difference in my skin using this routine but my skin got significantly worse when I first started using this, breaking out in unusual places with large spots ( I have read that the cleanser does this, to clear the skin and then prevents breakouts in the future). Fortunately, after weeks of persevering, these have now gone but I can't say that my skin now, after the ProActiv has got rid of active breakouts, is much better than it was before I started using the system. I still have spots under the surface of my skin and I still get breakouts. I have also found that this system has made my skin more dry leading to a requirement of more moisturiser, morning and night. Overall, I can see why people love this because it improves your skin, which I have seen, but I do feel that if you want to make more of a significant difference to your skin that you do need to persevere with this ( I have been using this system for almost 4 weeks) otherwise you may be disappointed. ProActiv works but it isn't a very pleasant system to use - it feels more like torture to me. If I were to be able to purchase these products separately in store I perhaps would however I don't feel I could justify the £39.99 price tag every 3/4 months
Boots Essentials Fragrance Free Cleansing Lotion is a facial cleanser which is suitable for skin that is sensitive or allergic to perfume and works to gently remove make up and excess oils leaving skin clean, soft and smooth. This cleansing lotion true to being a very affordable 'essential' product comes in very basic packaging, a translucent bottle with a blue lid and blue writing - very fitting for its budget nature. Although its nothing special, it works well and there is nothing I'd complain about. The cleanser, as you'd expect from a fragrance free product, has a very subtle non obtrusive scent that doesn't bother me. The consistency of the cleansy is a very runny white liquid/cream. This makes the cleanser spread easily around the face however can sometimes make the application difficult as if you accidentally use too much, the cleanser will run off the cotton wool ( I apply the cleanser to a large cotton pad and spread around my face to remove my makeup and repeat the process until all my makeup is removed). With sensitive skin I sometimes find that cleanser can sting my skin. This cleanser can occasionally sting my skin ( very minimal and only when my skin is burnt or on active breakouts), however this is not something that stopped me using the product. After using this, my skin is left smooth, not irritated nor dried out. However I do find that a significant amount of residue is left on my skin, which I would advise to those who get annoyed by this to follow with a toner. As for makeup removing ability, this cleanser, after a couple of repeated applications, will thoroughly remove your face makeup and any eye makeup (including mascara). I do feel that I do follow with an eye makeup remover to completely remove the remains of my eye makeup. For me, I like a cleanser to improve the condition of my skin. Although this doesn't seem to irritate my skin or cause breakouts, I haven't seen any positive improvement in the condition of my skin and breakouts still continue to occur. Overall I feel that this matches its claims. It gently removes makeup leaving skin soft and smooth however it does so by leaving a residue. If you are wanting a budget product to remove you makeup then this does the job however if you want your skin to have a deeper clean and you want to see an improvement, this may not be for you. This product is exclusive to Boots at £1.42/150ml I give this product ****
Liz Earle cleanse and polish is constantly raved about on qvc, blogs and the like and for good reason. this cleanser contains naturally active ingredients ( think rosemary, chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oil) that cleanses and exfoliates for smoother, clearer skin. This cleanser currently retails ( for a 100ml starter kit ) at £14.25 and can be found at Liz Earle counters in stores such as John Lewis, bought from qvc or liz earles website. This price, I feel is a lot for a cleanser but I do feel if the quality is there and it does wonders for your skin it is worth the investment. This cleanser is packaged in a cycling tube in liz earles trademark pale blue. The cleanser is of a thick cream consistency which is dispensed by the pump, which makes application very convenient as one pump, or two, is all you need to remove a whole face of makeup. The cream has a minty .menthol scent that is very refreshing to put on your face, especially if it is sore or warm as it is cooling on the skin. To use the cleanser you apply it to a dry face, with or without makeup, and massage it in. If you're using it to also remove eye makeup it is best to apply it your eyes last. Then run the muslin cloth, these can be bought alongside the cleanser or separately, under warm water and slowly massage it onto the face which will gently exfoliate the skin. With dry and sensitive skin I was worried that this exfoliant may be harsh on my skin but it isn't but instead is gentle, even on your eyes. I find that even when just using this to remove my makeup, without make up wipes or similar removers, it will easily remove a heavy face and eyes makeup , even thick layers of mascara, even with just one pump. Once I have removed my makeup my skin doesn't feel tight, dry or irritated but smooth and refreshed, however I still like to follow with a moisturiser because of my skin type. This skin type, as far as I'm aware, does not break me out however I don't find it clears the spots that tend to reappear on my forehead either, which to me is what I like to look for in a cleanser - something that effortlessly removes makeup but also prevents breakouts and clears my skin, which is this cleansers downfall. Although this is an amazing makeup remover, it does not help clear the skin from spots and breakouts which is why I rate this 4 stars and possibly won't repurchase.
I received this as a gift at Christmas and am very grateful. I always hear good things about MAC brushes and couldn't wait to give them a try. The MAC 217 is designed as a blending brush for both face and eyes, powder or creamy products. The oval shape of the brush makes it easy to apply product under your eyes, on your eyelid or outer corners easily and blend out colour. Priced at £16, this brush is very overpriced, like the rest of the MAC brushes, but I do believe with make-up brushes - buy cheap, buy twice. The brush is of excellent quality and " M·A·C professional brushes are hand-sculpted and assembled using the finest quality materials. They feature wood handles and nickel-plated brass ferrules". The bristles are soft and not all scratchy and will not irritate your skin. The only niggle I have with the brushes quality is ( fortunately I have prevented this by covering the name and number with clear nail polish) that the MAC 217 ( and numbers on all genuine brushes) will rub of if not protected. I have spot cleaned ( using ELF BRUSH CLEANSER) and deep cleaned ( baby shampoo) multiple times and as of yet have not experienced and mis-shaping nor shedding. I do feel that you could get brushes like this elsewhere ( No7 Blend and Contour) however I have had no problems with this brush and think that it is of excellent quality. This is available from MAC stores or their website and also in department stores. ** Please be cautious if purchasing this brush online as fake mac brushes are very common**
MAC Studio Sculpt Foundation What does the brand say? "A creamy, luxurious, gel based foundation that provides medium buildable to high coverage with a natural satin finish. Hydrating, instantly revitalizes the skin while keeping it looking smooth, soft and plush. Long-wearing, water resistant. " Price & Availability This foundation retails for £23 and can be found at MAC stand alone stores, or stands in department stores such as Selfridge, Debenhams and House of Fraser. It can also be bought online, however be cautious of fakes. Packaging This foundation comes in a long (holding 40ml) transparent plastic tube with a matte black lid. The foundation tube is also packaged in a black box. Colour range MAC are very well known for their colour range. They offer foundations ( powders and concealers also) in cool and warm undertones to best match your skin tone. They offer shades light enough for fair skin but also light enough for darker skintones. I, with fair skin, opted for NW15 ( as advised by a MAC makeup artist) which is an excellent colour match to my skin . ** I advise you to test the colours in store and ask a makeup artist to match the foundations to your skin tone. ** My skin type I have dry/sensitive skin and my MUA informed me about how moisturising this foundation was and I agree. It does not irritate nor dry out my skin however I still feel the need of a moisturiser to keep dry skin at bay. Application/Blending/Texture/Consistency The foundation is a gel based foundation that is much thicker than your average foundation, therefore meaning you only need a small pea-sized amount. The foundation is smooth and easily blends into the skin using fingers or a brush, though I tend to dispense a small amount onto my hand and apply with a brush otherwise I often apply to much to my face making it harder to rub into the skin. Finish of the foundation/Coverage The foundation, as stated in the description above, is a satin finish foundation with a medium buildable coverage. The satin finish leaves you with a healthy glow and transforms my dull/dry complexion however I don't tend to leave the foundation with this finish as I feel the need to set this with a powder. For the coverage, I usually only apply 1 layer to achieve a medium coverage but I don't see why there would be any problem applying another layer as the finish isn't cakey. Lasting power/ Fading This foundation is very long lasting, approximately 8 -10 hours, when set with a powder. It does not fade in patches so if you usually touch up your makeup, which you wouldn't need to anyway with this foundation, the foundation will fade but will look natural on the skin. However, although it claims to be water resistant, I can't say how much I would rely on the foundation not to budge slightly. Conclusion I am a huge fan of this foundation. Although £23 may seem steep at first, you will only need a little at a time so the foundation will last a very long time. 5 Stars for excellent quality.
Maybelline Dream Satin liquid What does the brand say? "Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation helps skin appear completely poreless with our first liquid mousse foundation. Our lighweight, air-whipped liquid blends on to transform the look of skin. From flawless to impeccable, even coverage. Our new satin perfect finish! Price and Availability This foundation is £7.99 from Boots, Superdrug and some supermarkets but can be found a couple of pounds less on websites such as feelunique.com. Packaging This foundation comes in a 30ml transparent glass bottle with a plastic clear lid and convenient pump (that pumps out the perfect amount of product needed). The bottle is of good quality and is more luxurious than plastic tubes. Some may find the glass bottle as a disadvantage but if you don't want to waste the product, the pump could be removed if necessary ( as I have had to do with still 1/3 of the product remaining). Colour range According to the Boots website; Maybelline offer 8 shades offering to a pale shade, pale enough for someone like me who often struggles finding a foundation pale enough, to deeper olive shades. Correct me if I am wrong but I think the Maybelline colours names in this foundation correspond with the colour names of the other foundations have to offer. My skin type I have dry and very sensitive skin that is very fair. When looking for a foundation I want something that is kind to the skin and makes it look healthy and dewy, therefore the dream satin liquid is perfect for me. Application/Blending/Texture/Consistency This foundation is thick enough to not run off your hand when you dispense it but not too thick that you can't blend it. It is very easily to apply, I usually opt to use my flat-top elf powder brush, with either your fingers or a blush. It doesn't dry straight away so blending into the skin is easy and doesn't take much effort. Finish of the foundation/Coverage The foundation, as the name suggests, is a satin finish, which is semi -dewy semi matte. It's not overboard shiny that you wouldn't be able to pass without a powder however I do feel that I need to at least powder my t-zone, even with my dry skin. The coverage is medium and will easily cover redness and most blemishes, although bigger or redder blemishes may still be seen. Lasting power/ Fading For a drugstore product, the lasting power impresses me. I can apply the foundation at 7.15 in the morning and it will still be in a perfect state by the early evening (about 9 hours wear) When it does begin to fade it doesn't fade in patches but the coverage begins to disappear and your natural skin colour/redness will peak through. Conclusion I am very impressed with this foundation and would definitely repurchase it as it is an affordable product with higher end quality. 5 Stars.
"No7 Stay Perfect Eyeshadow boasts high Impact colours that blend effortlessly and last for hours. " These No7 eye shadows are exclusive to boots and retail for £8. Although this price may seem steep at first, No7 often, and currently, offer £5 off no7 purchases leaving these at a more purse friendly £3. The eye shadows come in a small black oval compact with a small window, allowing you to see the colour conveniently. The Eyeshadow also comes with a small sponge applicator for you to apply the shadow with, but I often toss this aside and use an Eyeshadow brush instead. No7 offer a variety of colours; from natural to more high impact colours. I prefer to opt for the more neutral shades, such as Mink and Wheatsheaf. If you want a larger colour range to choose from, larger stores are best as there are more availible instore than online. The pigmentation for these Eyeshadow is great, even for the lighter colours. You only need a small amount of product on your brush, or finger, to get a great desired result. This Eyeshadow also blends easily and the great quality is consistent throughout all shades. The colour is true to what it looks in the pan. No7 offer matte and shimmery colours, rest assured any shimmer will not fall out and cover you with glitter that others often do. This Eyeshadow, once applied, will not smudge and re-application is not required, even without a primer. It is long lasting and will last from early hours in the morning til night-time. This Eyeshadow is Hypo-allergenic and Fragrance free and does not irritate my sometimes sensitive eyes. These are one of my favourite eye shadows I own, it matches its claims and tics all the right boxes for me. I highly recommend this brand and product and will be one I will repurchase in the future. 5 Stars.
"Glossy Tube Super Shiny Lip Gloss. Luscious shades of slick and sophisticated shine. Deliciously flavoured and non-sticky, they are sure to enhance your pout." This Barry M Lip Gloss is available in Boots and Superdrug stores and also online at Amazon and of course from Barry M directly, retailing at £3-£4. This lip gloss is packaged in a 9ml tube, made of clear plastic, allowing you to see the colour and amount of product you have. The lid is made of a sturdy plastic, which when removed, reveals a slanted tip where the lip gloss is dispensed. I have found that, as I have had this lip gloss a while, that the gold writing on the packaging has rubbed off. This lip gloss is available in 12 shades, ranging from light shimmery colours to more intense red shades. The lip gloss is quite thin in consistency, which is easily distributed on the lips. The glossy tube is very glossy but not overly sticky, though in the wind I may beg to differ. The lip gloss has a pleasant and sweet taste and smell, that isn't overpowering. I am unsure on what shade I own, it is a very pale pink that is very glittery. The lip gloss I own is a very sheer glitter gloss, applying a different colour to what is seen in the tube. I do feel that it sometimes can be too "super shiny" and I need to wait a while for its initial glossy-ness to wear off slightly. As for lasting power, I do find that after 45 minutes of wear, the lip gloss is still in the same state as it was when I first applied it. However, I do find that this will wear off straight away if I am eating or drinking and glitter will be all around my mouth, which can be a pain to remove. The lip gloss is not overly drying whilst worn, but when this does wear off I do feel the need to apply a balm or re-apply this. Overall, it is a good quality product at a great price, but I do find that with the colour I own, the lip gloss can look a bit much and isn't practical for everyday wear. If you were to find a colour without shimmer, I am certain you would not be disappointed. 4 Stars
Natural Collection Loose Powder retails for £1.99, exclusively at Boots, and is part of the 3 for £5 permanent promotion. "This translucent loose powder handles shine and creates a natural matte finish to the skin. Apply over your favourite Natural Collection foundation to set your make-up for the day" This loose powder comes in a translucent jar, with 15g of product. It has a white opaque lid with the Natural Collection logo. The packaging, in my opinion, does not look cheap and is durable. The powder has a sifter inside, conveniently allowing only a small amount of product to be dispensed. The powder is available in three shades; Warm Translucent, Neutral Translucent and Cool Translucent. Unfortunately, due to it being a loose powder product, testers are not available in Boots stores, so I took a gamble when opting for the shade Cool Translucent, in hope that it matched my skin colour. Personally I found the colour range rather limited and the colour in which I thought was pale, wasn't and is too dark for me, oxidizing to an orange colour, in comparison to my pale skin. As expected, due to the 'transparent' shade name, coverage from this powder is minimal and does not cover at all when used on its own. If you are planning on purchasing this powder for coverage, I would look elsewhere as this is only good for setting liquid products. This powder claims to handle shine and stay matte throughout the day. I definitely agree with this and find that my face is left looking smooth and matte and doesn't turn oily. If used to set your foundation, your foundation will last 8 hours no problem. The powder applies evenly and easily to the skin, but I do find that I have to reapply the powder to the brush a couple of times to cover my whole face, meaning that if this powder was used regularly, the product would run out quickly. It doesn't look or feel cakey and if the powder matches your skin tone, you won't be able to tell that you are wearing powder. Overall I think that this is a great value product and the quality is great. The only bug bare I have with this product is the colour range, as the lightest shade, Cool Translucent, turns orange when I'm wearing it, meaning that it isn't a product I often reach for.
Garnier BB Cream is a fairly new product to the market and was one of the first BB Creams to reach the UK. BB Creams, standing for Blemish Balm, is an all in one product and Garnier says "Get radiant, flawless and clear skin in one simple ste. Garnier B.B cream provides instantly perfected skin with an even tone and boosted glow, for skin that looks healthy and dewy without looking caked or shimmery. "" This product can be used on its own, as a base or as a primer. The thing that stands out to me with BB creams are that they supply colour but with added benefits to your skin. I do not own the bottle of this, but one is definately on my shopping list! In order to try before I buy, I ordered some samples, available directly from Garnier. The fact I received the samples for free does not affect my opinion at all. I feel that this is a great quality product that I will be purchasing in full size. The consistency of this product surprised me. As a primer/moisturizer combination, I expected this to be thin/ watery in texture. The consistency of this product is quite thick, similar to that, if not thicker, than a foundation. A little of this product goes a long way and blends effortlessly, easier than foundation. This BB cream is available in Light and Medium, which to me is quite limited for a product. I am very fair skinned and did find that when swatching this it was quite dark in comparison to my skin. Rest assured, if I only use a little of this product, I can easily blend it to better suit my skin colour. The finish of this product is very dewy and glowy. As someone who suffers from very dry skin, I don't often complain if something is very moisturizing or oily, but I did find that I needed to set the product with a powder as it didn't seem natural without one. As for lasting power, this product, if used as a foundation/tinted moisturizer replacement, will not last as long but will last 5-7 hours if set with a powder. I feel that this product reaches its claims. It's moisturizing, I leaves your skin looking and feeling health with a boosted glow. This BB Cream RRP is £9.99 and is available in Boots and Superdrug Skincare aisles. It comes in a squeezey tube that will conveniently dispense the product. I would rate this product 4 stars as its colour range and lasting power could be improved.
" a sweep of No7 Blush will give you a beautiful, natural look." This Boots No7 Blusher retails for £9, exclusively at Boots stores and Boots online. Of course, as many of you may know, Boots offer £5 off No7 vouchers most of the time, which will reduce the price to a more affordable, £4. The blusher comes in a black oval container with a transparent lid, allowing you to see the colour and product inside. The packaging looks sleek and is durable. This Cheek colour is available in 4 colours; Soft Damson, Honey, Candy Pink and Coral Flush. These are mostly natural colours, perfect for day to day, but are also versatile to apply a bit more to wear in the evening. With pale skin, I do struggle finding blushers suitable, but these suit my skin tone perfectly. Each blush is of excellent quality. They are pigmented enough to give good pay off, using a little amount of product to apply a nice flush to the cheeks but also are easily blendable, to look more natural. The blushes apply easily and look and feel smooth on the skin, with a matte finish. The lasting power of the blusher is not the best on the market but will last for 5 hours on the skin. I do find though that the lasting power will be more depending on the colour of the blusher and also how much it has been blended out. Overall I feel that these are a great way to spend your No7 voucher. I would rate these 4 stars because they are pigmented, look great but could last longer. Thanks for reading.
Technic is a brand made by Badgequo LTD and is " Bang up to date with the very latest fashion-inspired colours and styles, Technic is the name that keeps you in vogue with a WOW factor right off the scale." Technic Lip Stick , "A beauty must have for any woman. This lipstick glides on smoothly to give elegant looking lips." This lipstick can vary from a low retail price of £0.99 to £4.95, depending on the website, or store (Bodycare) where it is purchased. Unfortunately technic is not readily available conveniently as Boots and Superdrug stores do not offer this brand so swatches and tester are not readily available. I personally ordered this through lovethymakeup.co.uk , an affordable and trustworthy website. This lipstick is available in size shades; Pink lady, fuchsia rose, hot pink, indian rose, cashmere rose, hawthorn rose and bare all. Unfortunately, as said above, testers are not easily accessible and therefore I took a gamble with the colours that appeared on the website. Not knowing what to expect, I opted for Pink Lady. The packaging is fairly cheap, similar to that of MUA lipsticks. Black casing with a transparent top, showing the colour of the lipstick. When ordering, I hoped for a creamy light pink that would compliment my light complexion. Instead, through my letterbox, I received a very glittery pink, which when worn on its own, looked as if I had borrowed a lipstick from a dress up barbie head. I looked fake and turned my appearance to that of a play doll and ill. The consistency and texture is awful, thick and gritty, because of the glitter and shows every single bump on your lips. To get a look you might even start to consider wearing, a lot of blending is needed. It does not moisturize and can be drying to your lips. The colour struggles to last and at a push, may last 20 minutes. If you even want it to last. In this time I find that more of the lipstick's glitter is on my face, than is on my lips. I am led to believe other shades are a bit better but you won't catch me trying. I'm sorry technic. This has made me avoid your lipsticks for good but has also made me avoid trusting online swatches completely. Definitely better products on the market. 1* from me, purely because 0* is not possible.
