      A great low cost conditioner

      I always stick to Herbal Essences Shampoo and Conditioner, however my shifts at work have changed and my poor boyfriend has been stuck with the task of doing the shopping. When at work I text him and asked him to pick me up some more Shampoo and Conditioner when he was at Tesco as I had realised I was running low. I didn't bother telling him what kind to get me as I assumed that he knew me well enough and knew exactly what ones to pick up. However when I returned home from work later that evening I was disappointed to find that he had bought me Alberto Balsam Shampoo and matching Conditioner rather than my old faithful Herbal Essences! When asked why he had bought this particular brand his response was shampoos all the same, it smells fruity and is less than a third of the price of Herbal Essences! I was less than impressed however decided to try it and see if it was any good.

      Alberto Balsam Sun Kissed Raspberry Conditioner is available in a 400ml bottle, the packaging is quite plain and simple but that's what you would expect for a low cost shampoo. It is supplied in a tall cylindrical see through plastic bottle which has a slight frosted appearance, the Conditioner inside the bottle is a lovely baby pink creamy substance and you can clearly see the conditioner through the bottle which is quite useful as you can notice at a glance how much is remaining inside the bottle and of course how much of it you are using at a time. The bottle has a standard black flip top lid which you flip up to open and dispense the conditioner and flip back down again to close it to stop any leaks or spills. The flip top lid clicks snugly into place on the bottle and it is very easy to open. To dispense the conditioner like many others simply flip the lid opened, tilt the bottle and squeeze the desired amount of the v onto the palm of your hand.

      As this was a low budget priced conditioner I didn't really have any high expectations, I was expecting it to be a rather thin and runny conditioner which didn't have much of a scent and didn't soften my hair properly. However I was pleasantly surprised by how good this conditioner actually was, it had a fairly thick creamy consistency, and it did not run off the palm of your hand as soon as you squeezed it out the bottle, as it was as thick I didn't really have to use that much of it in order to fully coat my hair from roots to tips. I have really long hair which is half way down my back and I found a blob of conditioner roughly the size of a fifty pence piece was more than enough to fully coat my hair. The conditioner was easily applied to my hair and rinsed off very easily as well which was surprising as it was as thick and creamy.

      As my hair is as long I always have to use a separate conditioner to detangle my hair, however for review purposes I decided to try the shampoo on its own without using a separate conditioner. After all the shampoo was rinsed out my hair my hair felt all knotted and matted (which is understandable considering the length of my hair) Once it was towel dried it did feel squeaky clean however I had great difficulty getting a comb through it in order to detangle - it took me approximately 10-15 minutes to get my hair tangle free and in the end my scalp was really sore due to bushing out the tangles. Once I finally got it tangle free and blow dried my hair it was really shiny and smelt like raspberries and cream, however as I did not use a conditioner my hair was quite frizzy! When I used the conditioner in my hair it felt really soft and silky smooth after towel drying it! When I went to brush my hair with the comb there were no tangles in my hair, the comb glided through it very effortlessly. Once I had combed my hair I gave it a blow dry and to my surprise my hair was really shiny and frizz free. Sometimes with conditioners my hair goes really limp and I get slightly greasy roots, but I never got anything like this using the Alberto Balsam Conditioner.

      Alberto Balsam Sun Kissed Raspberry conditioner is suitable for people with Normal/Dry hair types, it is available in 400ml sized bottles and can be purchased from many supermarkets and Pound Stores, and price will fluctuate depending on where you purchase it from. Best place to pick this up is in Poundland as you will save yourself some money - I have noticed supermarkets charge anywhere between £1.84-£3 in my area for one bottle. However if you keep your eyes peeled in Poundland you may be able to pick up the multipack of this where you get a 400ml bottle of Shampoo and a 400ml bottle of conditioner for a Pound! So it really does pay to shop around.

      A low cost conditioner which doesn't break the bank!

I have really long hair which is half way down my back and I found a blob of shampoo roughly the size of a fifty pence piece was more than enough to fully wash my hair. The shampoo created a really thick creamy white lather on my hair and scalp with minimum effort and it was easily rinsed off and did not leave any residue or give me a dry itchy scalp like many other shampoos do (hence the reason I always stick with Herbal Essences) The Alberto Balsam Shampoo has a gorgeous scent, as the name suggests (Sun Kissed Raspberries) it has a really sweet smelling, natural raspberry aroma - I would say it smells more like raspberries and cream as it has a slight creamy scent! The scent from the shampoo lingers in your hair after you have washed and blow dried your hair and it can still be smelt 2 days after I have washed it.

      As my hair is as long I always have to use a separate conditioner to detangle my hair, however for review purposes I decided to try the shampoo on its own without using a separate conditioner. Once I finally got it tangle free and blow dried my hair it was really shiny and smelt like raspberries and cream, however as I did not use a conditioner my hair was quite frizzy! So I would highly recommend the matching conditioner is used with this shampoo. Even although my hair was frizzy after blow drying there was no other problems such as itchy dry scalp, dry ends or greasy roots so this shampoo turned out to be a good all rounder.

      Snow Fairys Magic Wand

      For those of you whom haven't heard of Lush before they are basically a company which produces bath and body products which contain pure essential oils and safe synthetics. One of the best things about Lush is the fact that they are really against animal testing and only use vegetarian ingredients in their products, so basically their products are quite safe for most people to use especially those whom have sensitive skin as there are no harsh chemicals in their products. Another thing about the Lush company is the fact that they use very little or no packaging with their products which is also good for the environment. I think that the way Lush manufacture, make and package their products is fantastic and more cosmetic companies should take a leaf out of the Lush book and do the same as there are far too many cosmetic products being tested on animals.

      As I mentioned above there are lots of different Lush products to choose from which are mainly highly scented, brightly coloured and have really funky names. You really do have an awful lot to choose from when you enter a Lush store and could easily spend a small fortune, I normally set myself a limit of £30-40 maximum otherwise I could easily spend double or treble that amount in the space of a few minutes. Normally when I'm choosing a new Lush goodie to try out I am drawn to the products which are either bright pink or purple in colour; mainly because pink and purple are my favourite colours and they look all girly and feminine. As I have tried most of the pink and purple coloured Lush products in the range I have now started trying out other products which have nice scents which appeal to me. I mostly opt for the sweet and fruity scented Lush products which smell good enough to eat.

      There are lots and lots of different products available in Lush stores or online, so you are sure to find a product which suits you. If you are unfamiliar with the sort of products Lush sell then I would advise having a look online as they sell solid and liquid shampoos, bath bombs, bubble bars, etc. Some of the Lush products however aren't available to buy in store; you have to buy these particular products online from the Lush website. The products which are solely only sold online at Lush are called Lush retro products and there are quite a few of them to choose from, some of my most favourite Lush products are from the Retro range

      The Magic Wand is my all time favourite Lush product, I discovered it around 8 months or so ago on one of my frequent visits to the Lush store (The office I work in is less than 50 yards from the Glasgow store, so I can pop in a lot more frequently than I used to, for my Lush fix). The Magic Wand is a solid re-usable bubble bar, which is in the shape of a pink star complete with stick and small silver bell; which gives it more of a magical appearance! As I previously mentioned the Magic Wand is reusable bubble bar, most of the bubble bars you can purchase in Lush you can get 2-4 uses out of them depending on how much of the product you use and how bubbly you like your bath to be! However with the Magic Wand you get more than 4 uses out of if, you get between 8 and 10! The main reason you get more uses out of the Magic Wand Bubble bar compared to the standard Lush Bubble bars is the fact that it is more concentrated and you do not have to break it into smaller pieces!

      Using the Magic Wand bubble bar couldn't be simpler, all you do is swirl the wand about in your bath until you have the desired amount of bubbles or place the wand directly underneath the warm running water. As soon as the wand hits the warm water it immediately releases the most wonderful, sweet smelling aroma - the bath water turns a delicate shade of pink; if you like lots of bubbles in the bath then you would swirl the wand around the bath for a little longer and you will notice that the water starts to go a darker shade of pink. When I am using the Magic Wand Bubble bar I prefer to run it underneath the hot water for approximately 10 seconds. I find this is more than enough to produce loads of creamy thick bubbles!

      As I mentioned above the Bubble Bar has a very sweet smelling aroma, a mix between candy floss and tuitti fruity, it smells good enough to eat! It also has a very delicate creamy almost musky undertone as well which complements the sweet fruity aroma wonderfully. The Magic Wand Bubble Bar is in fact a solid version of the Snow Fairy Shower Gel - and Lush fans will know that Snow Fairy is only available in the run up to Christmas time, so the Magic Wand Bubble Bar is a good alternative till Snow Fairy Shower Gel is in sale in the shops again!

      As I previously mentioned the Magic Wand Bubble Bar produces lots of thick creamy white bubbles which last well in the bath. On many occasions I have had my Magic Wand Bubble Bath ready and just about to go into it and have been distracted by kids, cats or dogs and had to leave the bath for up to an hour at times before I can get into it. When this has happened and you go back to the bath there is still quite a few bubbles in the bath so they don't disappear too quickly. The Magic Wand Bubble Bar also changes the texture of the bath water, it gives it an extremely soft silky feel upon your skin, I also noticed that after coming out the bath my skin felt soft and almost moisturized and was delicately scented by the sweet fruity aroma of the Magic Wand Bubble Bar. Although the scent on your skin isn't overpowering it does linger for around 2-3 hours after you have bathed. The scent of the Magic Wand Bubble Bar lingers in the bathroom for the longest length of time and can be smelt the next day after having a bath with it.

      As the Magic Wand Bubble Bar is reusable you do tend to make a mess with it in the bathroom after you have used it. This is because it is in a solid form and you are getting it wet to produce the bubbles, when I first used it I popped it into the Lush paper bag it came in to stop pink fluid dripping all over the bathroom, however after 2-3 uses the lush paper bag became all soggy and ripped so I had to find an alternative way of storing the bubble wand. I found that popping it into a sandwich bag did the trick as it stopped it from going everywhere when you had finished using it.

      Lush Magic Wand can be bought online or in store and cost's £4.95 per wand, this may sound expensive however as it is reusable and you can get up to 10 baths out of it (sometimes more depending on bow bubbly you like your bath) it works out at less than 50p per bath, which in comparison to other bubble bars is really cheap.

      I highly recommend the Magic Wand Bubble bar as it smells nice, softens your skin, and has a gorgeous pink colour and fantastic design.

        A lovely smelling perfume

        Very Valentino Eau De Parfum is a fragrance which was first launched by the Valentino perfume house back in 1997. As well as the perfume you can also purchase Very Valentino bath and body products as well which help to layer and compliment the scent of the perfume. People who have dry or oily skin and find that the scent of perfumes don't really last on their skin may benefit from using the complimentary bath and body products before applying the perfume; as this would give the scent a base to layer itself upon therefore increasing the longevity of the scent. Everyone's skin types are different and each individual may experience a different reaction in the staying power or the actual scent of the perfume on their skin because everyone's skin is different.

        As you can see from the picture at the top of this review the bottle of Very Valentino Eau De Parfum is supplied in a lovely chunky glass bottle which is square shaped. I like the fact that the glass is see through as you can easily see how much of the perfume you are using and how much is remaining inside the bottle at a glance. The lid on top of the perfume bottle is also quite chunkily designed and has a lovely frosted appearance which blends in well with the overall shape and design of the bottle. Even although the perfume bottle has a nice minimal design and appearance; it looks really feminine and sophisticated and it also looks really nice sat upon a shelf or dressing table.

        ==Fragrance Notes==

        Valentino ~ Very Valentino Eau De Parfum is described as having the following fragrance notes;

        _Top Notes of Bergamot, Mandarin, Blackcurrant, Magnolia, and Lily of the Valley_
        The top notes are the first phase of the perfume; they are usually the most volatile and evaporate from the skin very quickly. The top notes are usually very light and refreshing and their scent usually lasts for anything between five seconds and ninety minutes.

        _Middle Notes of Jasmine, Rose de Mai, and Sheer Woods _
        The middle notes of a scent are therapeutic and balancing oils, sometimes the middle notes are often referred to as the heart notes of a scent. The middle notes are not always evident and can take between thirty and sixty minutes to develop on your skin, and they last for anything between two to four hours

        _Base Notes of Sandalwood, Bourbon Vanilla, Musk, and Amber Accord _
        The base notes are the longest lasting notes in a fragrance, most perfumes use the same base notes. This is because they give the perfume more staying power and stop the top and middle notes from evaporating from your skin as quickly.

        ==The Scent==

        As soon as Very Valentino is first sprayed onto your skin you will immediately detect a slightly strong fruity aroma which has a slightly floral undertone to it. After approximately three minutes or so the scent of the perfume dies down quite dramatically and settles down to a lovely, lighter scent which isn't as string smelling. I was really surprised by how quickly the scent of the perfume settled down considering it was as string smelling a first. However this scent is absolutely gorgeous and when it is completely settled it has a gorgeous light and airy composition which I'm sure most women would love the scent of.

        The fruity top notes which you can detect as soon as the perfume is sprayed is that of juicy Blackcurrants and Mandarins; as they have a really fresh and natural aroma which isn't at all synthetic or sharp smelling. I would say that the scent of the Mandarin and Blackcurrant is really sweet and natural smeiing, I would say that the Blackcurrant has more of a sweeter and more prominent aroma than that of the Mandarin. The gorgeous and sweet fruity scent of the Mandarin and Blackcurrant is complimented perfectly by a blend of sweet floral notes which seem to add some depth and richness to the fruity aroma. The sweet floral notes which are identifiable when wearing the perfume are that of Magnolia and Lilly of The Valley; even although some of the top notes are floral ones, the scent doesn't have an overly floral or cloying scent as the floral notes are quite sweet and really delicate smelling.

        The top notes of Very Valentino linger for a long length of time mainly because this perfume is an Eau De Parfum scent and generally Eau De Parfum's have longer staying power compared to Eau De Toilettes. On average I would say that the top notes of Very Valentino linger for approximately 45 minutes or so before they start to fade and blend in with the middle notes of the scent. The top notes which linger for the longest length of time are that of Magnolia and Blackcurrant.

        The middle notes of Very Valentino are slightly different from the top notes of the fragrance; the top notes had a nice fruity/floral composition where as the middle notes are all floral. The floral middle notes aren't as sweet smelling as the top notes are, the floral notes in this phase of the perfume seem to have a heavier floral scent and there isn't much of a sweet airy tone which breaks up the floral composition somewhat. I would say that the only middle note which adds a slight sweet scent to the perfume is that of Jasmine; the Jasmine has a slightly sweet and powdery aroma, although it isn't too heavy and cloying smelling as some may expect. I hate scents which contain Jasmine as sometimes they are too heavy and cloying although the Jasmine in this perfume is quite strong it isn't too strong as to put me off wearing the perfume at all. The Jasmine aroma is complimented nicely by the scent of Rose and a slightly earthy note which is known as Sheer Woods. All of the middle notes of the perfume seem to blend in and complement each other very nicely to produce a nice floral composition which has a slightly sweet and earthy aroma. The floral middle notes of Very Valentino last a long time as well; I would say that on average the middle notes longer on my skin for approximately four and a half hours or so before they gradually start to fade away and are no longer detectable.

        Again after the middle notes have worn off the fragrance seems to smell totally different again. The fragrance changes from being floral to more of a sweet almost powdery musky scent; which is good for those whom aren't particularly fond of floral aromas. The base notes of the fragrance are mainly musky/sweet slightly woody tones. The musk base note is the most evident at this phase in the perfume because it has a sweet powdery aroma which is really feminine and sweet. The musk is complimented nicely with a subtle hint of Sandalwood which adds a little depth to the scent as well as some richness. The Musk and the Sandalwood are complimented perfectly by the scent of Amber and Vanilla which seem to add some richness, depth and warmth to the base notes of the scent. On average the base notes of the perfume linger on my skin for approximately 6 hours or so before they totally fade away and can no longer be smelt and the perfume needs to be reapplied.

        ==Perfume information==

        All perfumes smell slightly different on different people, and this is due to us having different oils in our skin. The staying power of a scent also differs from person to person because we have different types of skin oils too. I said in the review that this perfume lasts for about three or four hours on me, but it could last a longer or shorter amount of time on you.

        People who have dry skin types will notice that perfumes don't last long on their skin. If you have dry skin and have this problem you should try layering the scent of a perfume by using the matching body lotion or shower gel before applying the perfume. By doing this you are layering the scent and applying a base for the perfume to layer itself upon, so you should notice that the fragrance will last a lot longer on your skin.

        If you like the sound of this perfume then I advise that you go into your local perfume store and test it before you buy it. When testing the scent spray it onto your wrist and wear it for a few hours before you decide whether you like it or not, because the scent changes the longer you wear it due to the different notes which make up the fragrance.

        When testing a perfume don't smell the scent on a perfume card because it might smell lovely on the card and when you buy it and wear it at home it might smell totally different and you might not like the scent you are wearing. I made this mistake a few times in the past and wasted £30 on a fragrance which I didn't wear again and put in the bin.

        ==Staying Power==

        Very Valentino has really good staying power; which is mainly due to the fact that it is an Eau De Parfum fragrance and eau De Parfum's contain more concentrated perfume oils in them which adhere to the skin for a longer length of time. The scent of Very Valentino lingered on my skin for over 10 hours or so before I could no longer detect the scent of the perfume. I could easily apply the perfume in the morning at 8am before I left for work and I could still smell it on my skin hours later at 6pm when I returned home. I really like the staying power of this perfume because I don't have to carry the bottle of perfume to work with me so as I can reapply it during the day.

        When I am using the perfume I find that three or four sprays at any one given time is more than enough; as if you use too much of this fragrance it has a somewhat cloying almost powdery aroma which is quite intoxicating and overpowering. Less is definitely more with this perfume as it can also smell sort of cheap if you are wearing too much of it.

        ==Price and Availability==

        Very Valentino Eau De Parfum is available to purchase in larger department stores such as Boots and Debenhams; although you can also purchase it online from some perfume retailers and also EBay at a slightly cheaper price. The price you pay for the perfume will differ greatly depending on where you purchase it from; so I would advise having a look around and finding the cheapest deal possible. Most of the time I usually purchase my perfumes online as they are substantially cheaper compared to shopping in store.

        As well as the Very Valentino perfume you can also purchase the complimentary fragranced bath and body products which layer the scent of the perfume. People whom find that the perfume doesn't last long on their skin would benefit from using the body lotion and shower gel before applying the perfume as this acts as a base for the perfume to layer itself upon therefore increasing the longevity of the fragrance on your skin.

        The prices for Very Valentino Eau De Parfum and fragranced bath and body products are as follows ~

        Prices have been quoted from www.expresschemist.co.uk

        30ml EDP ~£19.50
        50ml EDP ~ £30
        100ml EDP ~ £40

        50ml EDP and 100ml Body Lotion ~ £29.50

        200ml Shower gel ~ £18.50
        200ml Body Lotion ~ £19
        150ml Deo Spray ~ £15.50

        ==My Opinion==

        I think that Very Valentino is a lovely fragrance which has really great staying power. I would say that this fragrance is most suited to those who like fruity/floral compositions which are quite sweet smelling. Even although this scent has a slightly powdery scent it isn't too heavy or cheap smelling unless you spray far too much of it onto yourself. This perfume is best suited for casual day to day wear because of its great staying power, however you could also use it as an evening wear scent if you like; personally I wouldn't use it as an evening perfume as I think that there are other perfumes on the market which are best suited to evening/romantic wear.

        Thanks for reading

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          Softens and freshend laundry

          I love fabric softeners and I always add some to each and every wash I do; simply because I like the added softness on my laundry and the fact that the fabric softeners fragrance my laundry too. I usually do two or three separate washes per day, which is understandable considering there are three kids and two adults in our house hold, not to mention 2 dogs and 2 cats that are just as messy as the kids. On average I could easily polish off 2 full bottles of fabric softener in 10 days or so, I like to use different fragranced fabric softeners regularly; usually I purchase 2 bottles of fabric softener per week to cope with the massive amounts of washing I tend to do daily. When I go to Tesco's I just pick out two different fabric softeners, I don't bother which brand I choose because I think that most of them are the same apart from the fragrance. Sometimes I'll just choose a bottle simply because I like the colour or design of the bottle.

          A few weeks ago Tesco's had a special offer on their Comfort Concentrated Fabric Softeners, you were getting two 750ml bottles for £2.00 there were a few different fragrances to choose from so I purchased one of each fragrance in the range so I had a plentiful supply of fabric softeners. Normally a 750ml bottle of Comfort Concentrated Fabric Softener will set you back around £1.75 in Tesco's, however the price will vary depending on where you purchase it from as different stores and supermarkets have different prices. In some stores you may be able to get this for £0.99 per bottle, so it is sometimes beneficial to shop around before you purchase. In each 750ml bottle of Comfort Concentrated you can expect to get 20 separate washes, if you use the recommended amount per wash.

          Comfort Concentrated Sun Fresh Fabric Softener is supplied in a clear plastic bottle which is tear shaped. The bottle isn't too big as it easily fits into the bottom shelf of my cupboard under the sink. As previously mentioned the bottle is made of a clear plastic, I quite like this element as you can see the lovely creamy yellow coloured fabric softener through the bottle, which is quite useful as you can easily see how much of the fabric conditioner is remaining inside the bottle at a glance. On top of the bottle of fabric conditioner there is a sturdy yellow coloured plastic lid which fits fairly securely as it is a screw on and off lid. The lid on the bottle also acts as a measuring guide, so you know exactly how much of the fabric softener to add to each wash you do. On the back of the bottle there is a list of ingredients and of course instructions on how to use the fabric softener.

          Using the product is really easy, all you have to do is take the cap off the bottle and fill it with the fabric softener and then pour it into the correct compartment on your washing machine. I pour mines into the middle compartment in the washing machine drawer, other washing machines might be different and you might need to pour it into a different compartment in your drawer. As I stated above it is recommended that you use one capful of the fabric softener per wash; but I never measure it out, I just open the bottle and pout some of the liquid into the compartment in my washing machine, it's a far quicker method than measuring it out especially if you're always rushing about like me, the downside to this is that you may be using more than the recommended amount therefore you won't get the usual 20 washes per bottle.

          Before I used the Sun Fresh Fabric Softener I had to have a sniff of it before I added it to my laundry, just in case I found the scent far too floral and overpowering. Even although the scent of the fabric softener was quite strong it wasn't too floral as there was a nice sweet and uplifting aroma accompanying the floral fragrance; it really did have a nice summery aroma to it. I knew that the fabric softener would have a strong aroma before I added it to the laundry, the reason the fabric softener is as strong at first is because it is concentrated; the scent will get diluted in the washing cycle and be less pungent.

          As soon as your washing is finished and you open the door you can immediately smell the fragrance of the fabric softener. It is not too overpowering but it is slightly stronger than most of the other Lenor or Comfort concentrated fabric softeners I have used in the past. Even when the clothes are dried outside the fresh air makes the laundry smell so much nicer and the scent is still really vibrant and floral, I think that the fresh air always makes your laundry smell better. Even when the laundry is dried in the tumble dryer or on the radiators the clothes still have a really fresh, vibrant and floral smell and of course the clothes feel really soft to the touch; especially towels they are really fluffy and cotton soft. Most of the time towels are only really fluffy and soft if you dry them in the tumble dryer, but I hung them outside in the washing line to dry and they felt as soft as they do when they are dried in the tumble dryer. I really love the Comfort Concentrated range of fabric softeners because I find that they have nicer scents and they leave the laundry feeling softer than other leading brands of Fabric Softeners.

          I absolutely love the fragrance from the Sun Fresh fabric softener mainly because it has a lovely sweet floral fragrance. The fabric softener smells of fresh flowers with the lovely uplifting aroma of Lillie's. My husband hasn't complained of the scent on his clothes when I have been using this so it mustn't be too floral or feminine.

          The smell of the fabric softener lingers on your clothes for a while after you have washed them, I would say that the scent from the fabric softener lingers on the clothes and bedding for approximately a week after you have initially washed them which is really good considering most other fabric softeners only leave your clothes scented for a short while before the fragrance fades away or others just soften your clothes and you can't smell the aroma. What I liked best about this fabric softener is the fact that the fragrance is a lot stronger than most and it lingers on your clothes for a long time, as soon as you open a wardrobe or a drawer all you can smell is the gorgeous sweet floral scent of Sun Fresh.

          None of the kids or my husband or I have suffered any kind of reaction from using this product so it is kind to our skin as well. I think that the product is great value for money and one which I will continue to purchase and use regularly. You can purchase the Comfort Concentrated range of fabric softeners from most supermarkets or smaller retailers although the price may vary depending on where you purchase it from. I purchased my 750ml bottle from Tesco for the small price of £1.00 as it was two bottles for £2.00. The recommended retail price of the fabric softener is around the £1.75-£2.00 price range. Typically a 750ml bottle of Comfort Concentrated Sun Fresh Fabric Softener will last you 20 washes providing you stick to the recommended one capful per wash. However if you are like me and just pour it into the drawer without measuring then you may find you get less washes per bottle.

          You can also purchase 1.5 litre bottles of comfort concentrated. You can expect to pay in the region of £3.28 per 1.5 litre bottle and get approximately 40 washes from the larger sized bottle. There are many other different fragrances in the Comfort Concentrated range, for more information on the different fragrances or different products produced by Unilever (Comfort) please have a look at the following website.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A cheap cat litter

            Since my cats were kittens I have used many different brands of cat litter, I have used very cheap and basic supermarkets own branded cat litter as well as the more expensive brands the pet stores stock only to discover that they are just as good as the cheaper alternatives. One brand which I have used frequently in the past is the Tesco Lightweight Cat Litter which is part of the Tesco Value Range. Tesco's Lightweight Cat Litter is the cheapest one you can purchase in store and only costs £1.27 for a 10litre sack, which is very cheap in comparison to some of the other cat litters stocked in supermarkets and pet stores. I have previously spent over £10 for the same amount of cat litter only to find it is exactly the same as the cheaper alternatives or worse.

            As this is a value range cat litter the packaging isn't eye catching or appealing, the cat litter is supplied in an off white thick paper sack which has been sewed with thick string along the top. The packaging also states that it is a Tesco Value Range Lightweight Cat Litter, and a picture of a lovely tiger cat below this, in case you forget the Value Cat Litter is for a cat. In my opinion the packaging for the cat litter isn't the best because I have often picked up a pack of this in Tesco and there has been a hole in the bottom of the paper sack and the cat litter has leaked everywhere. This could be due to a number of different factors. Firstly the paper which the sack is made from isn't sturdy enough to hold the weight of the cat litter or pieces of the cat litter have had sharp edges and pierced a hole in the paper sack which has got bigger when the sack has been lifted off the shelf.

            The cat litter is advertised by Tesco as being lightweight; I have to disagree with this as the 10litre sack of cat litter is by no means lightweight; it weighs an awful lot. I would say that this bag of cat litter easily weighs more than 3.5 kilograms; I have picked up bags of cat litter in Tesco which contain the same amount and they weigh far less than the Tesco Value Lightweight Cat Litter. I think that Tesco ought to change the packaging to state that it is just a Value Cat Litter rather than Lightweight because it is by no means light.

            Using the cat litter is fairly easy all you have to do is cut along the top of the sack so as you have a small opening and then tip the cat litter into your cats litter tray. The amount of cat litter you use depends on the overall size of your cats litter tray, but as a general rile you should pour the cat litter into the litter tray so that the tray has an overall depth of 5cm of Tesco Value Cat Litter. Obviously the larger the cat litter tray is the more cat litter you are going to use so you have a depth of 5cm. I have a really large litter tray for my cats and I use half a bag per change, however when I had a smaller tray I could easily get 4 or 5 separate changes out of the litter. The main reason you have to use a good depth of the cat litter is because cats like to dig a hole to do their business in and then cover it up with the cat litter after they have finished their business.

            The cat litter is grey in appearance and is a mixture of different shaped clay pieces all in varying sizes. The cat litter is very powdery when pouring it into the litter tray and it does cause you to cough as it catches in the back of your throat. I also noticed that when I had finished topping up the tray there was a powdery dusty coating on my laminate flooring, similar to that of chalk dust. The dusty chalk like coating which the cat litter leaves behind on the flooring is fairly easy to brush away from the laminate, however if this was on a carpet you would have to Hoover it up. I notice that the cat litter seems to get more powdery as you near the bottom of the pack, and it also makes more of a mess on the flooring.

            When it comes to cleaning the cat litter tray you will probably notice that the cat litter is clumped together at the bottom of the tray where the cat has had a wee, the cat litter changes colour when it is wet and instead of being a light grey colour it is a dark greyish brown colour. To get the cat litter out of the tray all you need to do is hold it over the bin and scrape the litter out using a litter scoop. The top layer of litter comes away very easily as it is often very dry however when you near the bottom of the tray you will notice that the litter is stuck to it because it is wet with cat wee, the cat scoop will scrape it off the bottom of the tray fairly effortlessly and it will come away in a few clumps.

            As this cat litter is the cheapest of the cheap it doesn't have odour neutralising capabilities so when you are clearing out the tray it will smell a bit, you will also find that there are a few bits of the wet litter stuck to the sides of the tray. After I have scooped the litter out of the tray I wash it thoroughly in a mild soapy solution to get rid of the stuck on bits of litter and so the tray is clean and fresh for the new application of cat litter. Please bear in mind that you should wear rubber gloves when changing the cat litter and you should also wash your hands thoroughly after cleaning the tray. Pregnant women should also stay clear of litter trays and avoid cleaning them.

            As a basic cheap cat litter it does do what it is intended to do and at a fraction of the cost of other cat litters. There are a few problems with it such as the packaging and the fact that it is advertised as Lightweight when it is far from lightweight, however put these aside and it does function well. One thing which would make this cat litter more appealing is if it had odour neutralising capabilities, however this would make the price increase. If you change the litter regularly then you will find that it doesn't smell too bad, I change my litter tray twice per day and I can still notice the smell. However the smell is a lot worse if I change the tray once per day. If you are looking for a basic cat litter which does as it is intended to do and doesn't have odour neutralising capabilities then the Tesco Value Cat Litter will come in handy, at £1.27 per 10litre sack you can't go wrong as other leading cat litters will cost you over £5 for the same amount.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              An upsetting book

              Over the past month or so I have been reading a lot of books - which is very unlike me as I much prefer to either watch TV or browse the internet. I am actually starting to enjoy reading very much and find that when I have a book I am really enjoying I can't put it down for a minute and find myself reading where and whenever I get a minute. Most of the books I buy are from the local second hand shops - not only are the books cheap and in good condition but I am also giving to charity at the same time. My favourite place for getting books is the Cancer Research shop because they have a large selection to choose from and all the books are 3 for £1 wither they are hard back or paperback books - which is really cheap in my opinion as some of the other second hand shops charge you over £1.25 per book.

              One of the first books I bought from the local charity shop was a book called Mummy Knew by Author Lisa James. I bought this book as the blurb on the back of it appealed to me and it was a true story and I prefer reading these kinds of books. The author of the book Lisa James is an author whom I've never heard of before which is not surprising as this is her first book and it had only been released in September 2009 and I bought it from the Cancer Research Shop in Mid-October.
              The copy of Mummy Knew - Lisa James which I bought was a Paper Back Edition which was in excellent condition considering it was second hand from the Charity Shop. The front cover is mainly white in colour and features a small fair haired girl around the age of six or seven. As with all books the authors name and title of the book are boldly printed on the front cover - where as the back cover contains a small paragraph of 7-8 lines giving a brief story outline - Which I have to confess had me hooked o the book from just reading this small paragraph. This blurb on the book immediately gives you the impression that this book revolves around grief and abuse but most of all survival and courage.

              From the minute i picked up this book I couldn't put it down for a second - I was hooked on it and managed to finish the book in a day and a half as I stayed up most of the night reading the 275+ page book as it was that gripping; it sort of drew you into the story and was worded in such a way that you could actually imaging everything happening as it was explained in so much detail. I don't want to go into too many details about this book as I fear I would ruin the story line for any of those who wish to read it so I will keep this part very brief. Basically the book is about the life of Author Lisa James and her life growing up with her family which includes her step father who is an alcoholic - who subjects Lisa to a life of emotional, physical and sexual abuse. As the name of this book suggests Lisa's mum knows all about the abuse her step father is putting her through and does nothing to stop it.

              There are quite a few characters in this book however the book is mainly about Lisa - her mother and step father play big parts in this book however not as big a part as Lisa does, after all this book is all about her and her life of torture and abuse. I really felt sorry for the character Lisa in the book as in the first few chapters she was aged between 5-7 and being a mother myself with a child who is nearly 7 i felt very angry and saddened reading this as I couldn't imagine anything bad happening to my child and not doing anything to protect him. Being a parent you would fight heaven and earth to protect your child and keep them safe - and if anyone or anything made them sad or anyone abused/hurt then you would do all in your power to protect and take them away from harm's way and report to the authorities to stop anything like this happening to other children - however it is clear from the beginning of this book that poor Lisa's mum turns a blind eye to everything that is happening to her daughter in order to protect herself. Which is utterly sick in my opinion - as a mother I would much rather come to harm than let my child take the brunt of it.

              Two of the characters whom you immediately dislike in this book is Lisa's mother and her Step-Father - they are very cruel self centred people; mainly Lisa's Step Father who subjects his Step-Daughter to endless accounts of horrific encounters. Lisa's Stepfather has a gambling and drinking problem which fuels his anger and abuse towards Lisa - whereas Lisa's mother stays out of his way and forces Lisa towards him at every opportunity.

              I found that this book was one which was really easy to read as there wasn't too many characters and the chapters weren't too long. I also thought that the layout of the book was excellent too as the lettering wasn't too small and cramped - to be fair the lettering was fairly large and the paragraphs spaced out well also. The way the book was written in my opinion was outstanding as even although this book was about the life of Lisa you weren't reading one page and then the next page you read the character was five or six years older. The story seemed to progress very well and didn't jump too far ahead at any point. It was also well written and some of the descriptions were quite graphic that you could almost imagine being there yourself as every minute details was there which is quite impressive as this happened to Lisa over 30 years ago.

              In all I think this is an excellent read - even although the story is very sad and about a subject we hear about every day it is an insight into the lives of the people whom are unfortunate enough to be subject to these sorts of abuse - and how they manage to get through it and survive coming out a stronger person.

              I would highly recommend this book to anyone who likes true stories - as you won't be able to put this down from the moment you pick it up. I had a look on the internet and you can purchase this book from Tesco, WH Smith and other leading book stores price dependant on where you purchase from - Average prices for this book are between £3.78-£7.00 brand new. You could however pick yourself up a second hand copy of this book for les than the purchase price or alternatively rent from your local library for free

              ISBN - 9780007325160
              Format - Paperback

              Publisher - Harper Collins Publications
              Highly recommended

              Thanks for reading

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

                I don't want to smell like Britney

                Midnight Fantasy Eau De Parfum is a fragrance which was launched by Britney Spears at the beginning of 2007 - as well as the perfume you can also purchase the Midnight Fantasy bath and body products which compliment and layer the scent of the perfume. Some people who have dry or oily skin types or those who find that the scents of perfumes don't last on their skin would benefit from purchasing the additional bath and body products which compliment perfumes as these would give the perfume a base to layer itself upon and adhere to therefore increasing the longevity of the scent on their skin. As I have said loads of times before in perfume and beauty reviews everyone's skin is totally different, so therefore perfumes, lotions etc can be very different on one person compared to another as everyone's skin reacts differently to products. One of the main points to bear in mind is that the staying power of a perfume will vary from person to person as the scent may last longer on one individual compared to another and the scent of the perfume will vary as well. I am in no way a fan of Britney Spears - I only purchased this perfume because I loved the design of the bottle. Mainly when I am purchasing perfumes the design of the bottle or box is the first thing which grabs my attention and I end up purchasing the scent before even smelling it to see what it is like.

                As you can see from the picture at the top of this review, Midnight Fantasy is supplied in a round bottle which is dark blue in colour with small Swarovski Crystals scattered around the bottle giving the appearance of Stars. The neck of the bottle bears a lovely chunky silver band which has a lovely engraved appearance to it - on top of which a lovely chunky round lid the same colour of the bottle fits snugly upon, to prevent the perfume from leaking ad the spray top nozzle falling off. The lid on the bottle is a nice chunky size and therefore it makes it easy to find in the bottom of your handbag should it fall of the bottle. I normally carry a perfume or two around with me in my bag and the lids are forever coming off the bottles, the smaller lids are particularly hard to find amongst all the junk in my bag, but I find it easier to find this one because of its chunky rounder appearance and size. Even although the bottle is a dark blue colour you can still see the perfume inside the bottle if you hold it up to the light. I quite like this element as you can see how much perfume is remaining inside the bottle at a glance.

                ==Fragrance Notes==

                Midnight Fantasy Eau De Parfum is described as having the following fragrance notes ~

                '''Top Notes of Framboise, black cherry, and plum.''' The top notes are the first phase of the perfume; they are usually the most volatile and evaporate from the skin very quickly. The top notes are usually very light and refreshing and their scent usually lasts for anything between five seconds and ninety minutes.

                '''Middle Notes of night orchid, freesia and iris.''' The middle notes of a scent are therapeutic and balancing oils, sometimes the middle notes are often referred to as the heart notes of a scent. The middle notes are not always evident and can take between thirty and sixty minutes to develop on your skin, and they last for anything between two to four hours

                '''Base Notes of Amber, musk and vanilla.''' The base notes are the longest lasting notes in a fragrance, most perfumes use the same base notes. This is because they give the perfume more staying power and stop the top and middle notes from evaporating from your skin as quickly.

                ==The Scent==

                As soon as Midnight Fantasy Eau De Parfum is sprayed onto your skin you will immediately detect a very fragrant fruity aroma which is very fresh and natural smelling. Approximately two to three minutes after the fragrance is first sprayed onto your skin the scent of the perfume settles down an awful lot and now smells a lot lighter and sweeter than it previously did. I was really surprised by how quickly the scent of the perfume settled down considering it was as strong smelling a first. However this scent is absolutely gorgeous and when it is completely settled it has a gorgeous fruity floral aroma which I am sure most people will like the scent of regardless of wither they are a fan of Miss Spears.

                The strong fruity top notes which you can smell as soon as the perfume is sprayed onto your skin are that of Black Cherry and Plum. The fruity top notes aren't at all synthetic or fake smelling, in my opinion they smell quite natural. I would say that the scents of the Black Cherry and Plum complement each other perfectly well as they are quite sweet smelling. The fruity top notes are complimented perfectly with a zesty raspberry undertone which is that of the Framboise, thus adding some more depth the fruity cocktail of top notes.

                The fruity cocktail of top notes doesn't last on my skin for a long length of time. I would say on average they last around a minute and a half to two minutes at the most. I would say that the top note which lingered on my skin for the longest length of time was that of the Black Cherries as they had more of a stronger overpowering aroma compared to the plum and raspberries.

                The middle notes of Midnight Fantasy are completely different to the fruity cocktail of top notes. The middle notes of the fragrance have a really sweet floral composition. Even although the middle notes of the fragrance are slightly floral it doesn't make the perfume have an overly floral aroma which is a good thing for those whom aren't particularly fond of floral aromas. The middle notes which give the scent a sweet floral aroma are that of Orchid and Freesia; I would say that it is the Freesia which is the most floral smelling of the two, the Freesia also has a sweet musky aroma to it which prevents the fragrance of the middle notes smelling too floral. Iris is also evident in the middle notes however I would say that the Orchid and Freesia overpower the Iris so it isn't very evident unless you inhale the fragrance deeply. I think that the trip of middle notes blend together nicely giving an overall sweet floral aroma. The middle notes of Midnight Fantasy linger on my skin much longer than that of the top notes, on average the middle notes linger on my skin for approximately 4 hours or so before they gradually start to fade and the base notes become more apparent.

                Again after the middle notes of the fragrance have faded away the scent smells slightly different again which is a good thing for those who don't particularly like floral fragrances. The scent changes from being floral to a very sweet and musky composition. The sweet musky aroma is that of Amber accompanied by musk, I would say that the Amber gives the fragrance a warm sweet composition which is accompanied nicely by the addition of the musk, the musk in my opinion isn't too powdery smelling, it has a nice composition without being too overpowering. Vanilla is also very evident in the base notes, the vanilla gives the overall fragrance a sugary sweet aroma which isn't too sickly sweet, plus it also adds some depth to the musk and amber scent.

                The base notes of this scent linger for the longest length of time in comparison to the middle and top notes of the fragrance. I would say that the base note which lingers for the longest length of time is that of the Amber and Vanilla. On average I would say that the Base notes linger for approximately 4 and a half hours or so before they are completely faded away and the perfume needs to be reapplied again.

                ==Perfume Information==

                ==Staying Power==

                Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy has really good staying power; this is because the fragrance is an Eau De Parfum and is more concentrated than an Eau De Toilette. On average I would say this scent lingers on my sin between 8-9 hours before it completely fades away and needs to be reapplied. If I wear this perfume to work I apply it in the morning before I leave the house and find that I can still smell it on my skin when I return home from work. The small compact size of the bottle means that it doesn't take up much room in my handbag so carrying it around isn't a problem.

                When I am using the perfume I find that three or four sprays at any one given time is more than enough; as if you use too much of this fragrance it has a somewhat cloying almost powdery aroma which is quite intoxicating and overpowering. Less is definitely more with this perfume as it can smell quite cheap and nasty if you apply a lot of it.

                ==Price and Availability==

                Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy Eau De Parfum is available to purchase in larger department stores such as Boots and Debenhams; although you can also purchase it online from some perfume retailers and also EBay at a slightly cheaper price. The price you pay for the perfume will differ greatly depending on where you purchase it from; so I would advise having a look around and finding the cheapest deal possible. Most of the time I usually purchase my perfumes online as they are substantially cheaper compared to shopping in store. I would highly recommend looking around for the cheapest deal possible as you can save yourself quite a bit of money.

                As well as the Britney Spears Midnight Fantasy perfume you can also purchase the fragranced shower gel and body lotion which will layer the scent of the perfume increasing the longevity a little. People whom find that the perfume doesn't last long on their skin would benefit from using the body lotion and shower gel before applying the perfume as this acts as a base for the perfume to layer itself upon therefore increasing the longevity of the fragrance on your skin.

                The pricing for the Midnight Fantasy Eau De Parfum as well as the complimentary bath and body products are as follows -

                30ml Midnight Fantasy - £10.00 + P&P (from perfumeplusdirect.co.uk)

                100ml Midnight Fantasy - £19.53 free P&P (from clickfragrance.co.uk)

                Midnight Fantasy Gift Set comprising of 30ml Eau De Parfum, Body Lotion and Lip
                Gloss £21.87 + £5.56 P&P (from fragrancenet.com)

                100ml Body Soufflé - £7-10 depending on where you purchase from

                100ml Bath and shower gel - £7-10 depending on where you purchase from

                ==My Opinion==

                Is a relatively nice fragrance which will suit most people as it is a nice floral/fruity/musky blend which is similar to that of Jean Paul Gaultier Classique because of the vanilla musky base notes. The main advantage of this scent is the fact that it is relatively cheap to purchase and it has great staying power, so you won't have to use it very often and the bottle will last you longer.

                If you are a fan of sweet musky floral perfumes then this is one which is worth trying out. The only downside to this perfume is the fact that it bears Miss Spears name. Please bear in mind that everyone's skin is different and the staying power will vary from person to person.

                  Advantages

                  Disadvantages

                  Smells great

                  I love having a lovely clean home and spend a few hours each day cleaning around the house, as well as having a clean home I also like my house to smell fresh. I spend a small fortune on scented products for my home each month, I will buy almost anything which claims to eliminate odours and freshen the home. In my house I have an abundance of scented candles, pot pourri, plug in air fresheners, gel air fresheners and much more, I also have a collection of air fresheners in my cupboard which I use to add a lovely fragrant aroma to my home. I don't have a particular brand of scented room products which I stick to I like to try out different ones on a regular basis.

                  I love using scented room products because they eliminate odours which build up around the home. There are many different causes of odours in the home; the most popular ones are caused by pets, cooking and smoking; however there are other contributing factors. I am very paranoid about odours lurking in my home so I am forever lighting scented candles, switching on the plug-ins or giving the house a quick spray with an air freshener to hide the odour. I love using plug ins because they provide a continuous fragrance around the home, however I sometimes get paranoid in case they overheat and cause a fire, so when I spotted the Airwick Reed Diffusers in Semi Chem a while back I decided to purchase a couple of them for various rooms around the home as they claim to provide a continuous fragrant aroma in the home, they were also on special offer and only cost £2.99 each. The normal price of the Air Wick Reed Diffusers are around £5.00-6.00, which is quite expensive and had they been full price I wouldn't have purchased them.

                  The Air Wick Reed Diffuser consists of a small thin glass like vase which contains a Jasmine and Freesia Scented Oil as well as approximately 12 five inch long rattan stems. When you first purchase the Reed Diffuser it is packaged quite securely inside a plastic and cardboard box and the reeds are separate from the vase filled with the oil. On the back of the box you will find the instructions on how to set up your reed diffuser as well as some basic safety information relating to it. Setting up the reed diffuser was fairly simple, the glass vase in which the oil is contained in has a snug fitting lid so as the oil doesn't leak everywhere; you simply take the lid off and insert the reeds into the vase then position the Reed Diffuser in the room of your choice so it can be filled with the continuous fragrance of Freesia and Jasmine.

                  I really like the overall appearance of the Air Wick Reed Diffuser as it has a simplistic yet elegant appearance. The glass vase in which the oils are contained inside has a lovely curvy appearance and it is also transparent so you can see the Freesia and Jasmine oil through it; inside the vase you will see two different coloured liquids, one of which is green and the other clear. The one thing I like about the oils is the fact that the green coloured oil sits at the bottom of the vase in small round bubbles approximately the size of peas and the clear liquid sits on top of these pea like bubbles. This in my opinion gives the Reed Diffuser a more appealing look as it isn't as plain looking, and with the addition of the thin rattan reeds sitting in the vase gives you a lovely looking room freshener which can be sat on a window, table or shelf.

                  The fragrance which the Freesia and Jasmine Reed Diffuser creates is absolutely gorgeous; Freesia is the most predominant scent. It is has a lovely fresh floral scent, the Jasmine compliments the Freesia perfectly as it adds depth the overall fragrance without being overpowering. The Jasmine doesn't smell too powdery or strong, in my opinion it has a very sweet and light floral scent which blends in and complements the scent of the Freesia.

                  I have a fairly big living room which is also an odd shape so I positioned the reed diffuser in the centre of the room on the coffee table so as the scent could fill as much of the room as possible as opposed to sitting it in a corner. As I stated previously I was slightly sceptical about the claims of the Reed Diffuser being able to provide a continuous fragrant aroma in the home, but the product does exactly that, it provides a constant Freesia and Jasmine aromas in my living room without the need to use my plug ins. The fragrance isn't too strong or overpowering but it is very much evident, sometimes you actually get used to a scent after a while and you can no longer smell it unless you exit and re-enter the room, but you can actually smell the reed diffuser throughout the whole time you are in the room - it has a lovely, sweet, inviting aroma.

                  The reason the Reed Diffusers are so effective at providing a continuous fragrance in the room you are using it in is because the reed's pull up the fragrant oils from the bottom of the vase to the top of the reeds surface and then releases the scent into the room naturally. I think that the Air Wick Reed Diffusers are much better than Air fresheners, plug ins and scented candles, mainly because the Reed Diffuser provides a stronger aroma which fills the whole room, as I stated my living room is an odd shape and fairly large but I can still smell the Freesia and Jasmine aroma from all areas in the living room despite where I am standing or sitting; whereas with scented candles or plug ins you can only detect the fragrance in certain areas in the room, mainly in the spot where the plug in or scented candle is positioned.

                  The Reed Diffusers are also a lot safer to use in the home as you don't ever need to worry about them being plugged in and overheating, they won't cause a fire like a candle could and if a younger child touches it they won't get burned. So in my opinion they are a lot safer to use around the home and they do provide a continuous fragrant aroma. The only downside to the Reed Diffusers is the fact that they are quite expensive and cost around £5.00-£6.00 at full price, and the fragrance only lasts approximately 4-5 weeks. Another downside is the fact that you can't buy replacement reeds and oils to put in your glass vase, you need to purchase a full unit again. I think it would be a better idea if you could purchase oil refills and replacement reeds as this would most probably work out cheaper and it would also appeal to a lot more people as they wouldn't be worried about the high costs of purchasing a full unit again every 4-6 weeks.

                  Despite the high price tag I will continue to purchase the Reed Diffusers for my home as the provide a continuous fragrant aroma, and at £5.00-£6.00 every 4 to 6 weeks it isn't really that costly as it works out on average it £1.00 per week.

                  For more information on the Reed Diffusers please have a look at the following website where you can find out some more information relating to them and also see the different fragrances they are available in.

                  Sainsbury's have an offer on at the moment and are available for £3.06 each. You can also purchase from the likes of Semi Chem and other leading supermarkets however prices may vary and there may be special offers on so it is advisable to look out for the best deal possible and stock up on them when they are on offer so you aren't paying full price.

                    Disadvantages

                    Another Bloomin Great Lush product

                    Lush are a company who produce and make a wide range of bath and body products; all of the ingredients used in their products are a combination of fresh organic fruit and vegetables, pure essential oils and safe synthetics. A lot of bath and body products on the market are tested on animals; but Lush are one of very few companies whom are dead against testing their products or ingredients on animals and this is the main reason why all of their products contain safe and natural ingredients. The ingredients which Lush make their products from are also bought from companies whom do not test them on animals so you can be sure that none of the products you buy from Lush have ever been tested on animals. Lush believe that the products they make are safe enough to be tested on a panel of human testers because of the safe and natural ingredients they use in them. All of the natural ingredients in the Lush products are also vegetarian and the products contain very little or no preservatives in them. I think that the way Lush manufacture, make and package their products is fantastic and more cosmetic companies should take a leaf out of the Lush book and do the same as there are far too many cosmetic products being tested on animals.

                    There are lots and lots of different products available in Lush stores or online, so you are sure to find a product which suits you. If you are unfamiliar with the sort of products Lush sell then I would advise having a look online as they sell solid and liquid shampoos, bath bombs, bubble bars, etc. Some of the Lush products however aren't available to buy in store, you have to buy these particular products online from the Lush website. The products which are solely only sold online at Lush are called Lush retro products and there are quite a few of them to choose from, some of my most favourite Lush products are from the Retro range.

                    Lush Forever In Bloom is a Conditioner which is specially formulated for those whom have light, limp, dull or tangled hair types.; so basically this particular conditioner is suitable for most hair types. The Lush Forever In Bloom was one of the very first Lush Conditioners which I tried and to be completely honest it is a great conditioner and it does a fab job at sorting my tangled hair out. Like all of the other Lush products the packaging is kept to a minimal and is very plain and basic, the conditioner is supplied in a tall cylindrical plastic bottle which is see through so as you can see how much of the conditioner you are using at any one given time. On the top of the bottle there is a rather handy flip top lid which you just flip upwards to dispense the conditioner and flip back down again to close the bottle so as the conditioner doesn't leak everywhere. On the front of the bottle there is a white label which boasts the bright green and yellow lush emblem. The label also states the name of the conditioner which is Forever In Bloom, a description of which hair types the conditioner suits best, a best before date and it also states which date the conditioner was made on; lastly a list of the ingredients contained in the conditioner. As with most of the Lush products this conditioner contains a lot of fresh and natural ingredients; I would have expected the conditioner to have a short shelf life but in all fairness my bottle of conditioner has a shelf life of 2 years which is pretty good going although I don't think it will last that long in my household.

                    I really like the packaging for the conditioner because it is made from a transparent plastic. I prefer to purchase beauty and cleaning products which are sold in see through packaging or bottles because at a glance I can easily see how much of the product is remaining inside the bottles, and you can also see how much of the product you are using at a time. Most of the time when I am trying out a new conditioner, body lotion or shower gel I am really disappointed by the actual consistency of the product because some of them are too thin and runny or they don't smell nice. But with the Lush Forever In Bloom Conditioner I was extremely impressed with every aspect of it because it did smell nice and it had a lovely thick consistency.

                    The conditioner inside the bottle is a fairly thick and creamy like substance which doesn't slip through your fingers and down the plughole before you get the chance to massage it into your hair and scalp. I would say that the consistency of the Lush Forever In Bloom Conditioner is really similar to that of Herbal Essences or Tresemme conditioners as they have the same thick and creamy appearance and feel to them. When I was using the conditioner I found that a blob the size of a 50 pence piece was more than enough to fully cover my hair in conditioner. I have really long hair so people who have shorter hair types will need to use a lesser amount than I do. Just like any other conditioner all you have to do is wet your hair and apply the conditioner after shampooing then rinse off after a few minutes. As soon as I applied the conditioner to my hair I could feel it was a lot smoother and softer even before I had rinsed it off my hair.

                    When I was rinsing the conditioner off my hair I found that it took me slightly longer to rinse all traces of the thick and creamy conditioner off my hair and scalp. This was mainly die to the fact that the conditioner is really thick and creamy plus the fact that my hair is really quite long. After all traces of the conditioner are rinsed out of my hair and I have towel dried it I can easily and effortlessly run a brush through my hair without coming across one single tangle or tug; which is really unusual for me as most of the time I always get some sort of a tangle despite which conditioner I use. My hair also looks really healthy, shiny and smooth after it has been blow dried and there isn't a single hint of any frizz whatsoever. So this conditioner really does a great job on my hair.

                    The smell from the conditioner isn't really strong or over powering, it has a really fresh, sweet, floral aroma. I normally don't like really floral aromas however this particular conditioner is more of a sweet fresh aroma rather than a strong cloying floral one that has a mature scent, The most noticeable scent in the conditioner is that of Honeysuckle as it has a warm, sweet almost creamy scent; the lovely honey suckle scent is complimented wonderfully by the sweet aroma of Jasmine, and Rose and those three scents balance and compliment one another perfectly. There are a few other aromas which you can detect in the conditioner however these fragrances are undertones and very subtle. The undertones which you can detect are that of Camomile and marigold ; these scents add a little more sweetness and depth to the scent of the conditioner.

                    I also noticed that the smell from the conditioner lightly fragranced the bathroom for a short time after I washed my hair. The aroma from the conditioner fragranced my hair too and the aroma from it was quite long-lasting which left my hair smelling lovely and fresh for quite sometime. I would say that the scent from the conditioner lingered in my hair for 24 hours or so after I had washed it. When my hair is dried after using the conditioner it feels and looks extremely shiny and healthy and feels really soft and smooth because of the conditioner. Since I have used the Lush Forever In Bloom Conditioner I haven't had any dry flaky scalp not has it given me any dandruff or an itchy scalp. The conditioner is really kind and gentle to my hair and scalp;

                    I am extremely pleased with the condition of my hair and scalp from using the Lush Forever In Bloom Conditioner and I cannot pick out any faults whatsoever with the product or the condition it leaves my hair and scalp in. I think that this conditioner is excellent and fairly reasonably priced, you can only purchase the conditioner online from Lush as it is from their Retro Range. It isn't a cheap conditioner; however the bottle does last a really long time as you don't have to use very much of the conditioner at any one given time. A 500g bottle of the Lush Forever in Bloom Conditioner costs £11 from Lush Online. II would say that the large bottle of this conditioner would last you approximately three months or so If you have long hair like me and wash your hair everyday. However if you have shorter or thinner hair then your conditioner will last you a longer length of time.

                      Advantages

                      Disadvantages

                      Love It Love It Love It

                      Jean Paul Gaultier Classique is a fragrance which I adore, in-fact it is my signature scent. The fragrance was first launched around 8 or more years ago and it is still a very popular fragrance with the younger and older generation of women as the scent is fresh, floral and sweet smelling. As well as the perfume you can also purchase Classique fragranced bath and body products as well which help to layer and compliment the scent of the perfume. Anyone whom has ever worn or smelt Jean Paul Gaultier Classique perfume will know that it is quite a strong smelling scent which has excellent long lasting staying power. However everyone's skin types are different and some people may notice that the scent of the perfume doesn't really last long on their skin. It is normally people whom have dry or oily skin who will notice that the scent of perfumes, body lotions, shower gels etc don't last long on their skin. If you have this problem with the staying power of perfumes then you would really benefit from using the complimentary bath and body products as these act as a layer for the perfume to adhere to therefore increasing the longevity of the scent on your skin.

                      Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Body Lotion can be bought from most larger perfume stores or alternatively online however the price for the Body Lotion can cost a small fortune depending on where you purchase it from; so looking around for a cheaper deal is probably your best bet if you like the sound of this Body Lotion. A 200ml bottle of the Body Lotion can cost anything between £18-£24 however you might be able to grab yourself a bargain on eBay if your lucky and get the Body Lotion at a much cheaper price. One thing I really love about the Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances is the packaging and even with the Body Lotion the packaging is still top notch as it is really creative and decorative in appearance. Just like the perfume Jan Paul Gaultier Classique shower gel is supplied In a cylindrical tin container which in my opinion looks like an oversized tin of baked beans the only apparent difference is the fact that the Jean Paul Gaultier name is embellished onto the tin container. Inside the tin container you will find a well presented female torso which is in-fact the bottle of Body Lotion. The shape of the torso is of a voluptuous woman and not your typical size 0 model, the only difference between the packaging for the Body Lotion and the perfumes is the fact that the shower gel bottle is made from plastic and not glass and it has less shape and design. Basically the Body Lotion bottle is made from a squeezable plastic material which is a light creamy peach colour and has the Jean Paul Gaultier name and fragrance name printed onto it in gold metallic lettering which adds a little bit of sophistication to the packaging design and appearance.

                      Sometimes whenever I purchase a new beauty product whether it be a shower gel, body lotion, shampoo or conditioner I am usually left feeling disappointed by my purchase as sometimes they can either be too thin in consistency, smell horrible or they don't leave your skin/hair feeling any different when the product claims to be a moisturising lotion or similar. But with this Body Lotion I was extremely impressed with every aspect of it and is one of the main reasons I have bought another bottle of it regardless of the high price tag. The Body Lotion inside the tube/bottle is of a medium thick consistency, I would say that the consistency of the Body Lotion is fairly similar to that of Herbal essences Conditioner although maybe just a little thinner. The Body Lotion has a creamy like appearance and is fairly clear in colour although you do notice a slight pearlescent appearance shining through it when it reflects the light. With some Body Lotion's you don't actually smell the fragrance from them as soon as you dispense them from the actual packaging onto your hand/skin, you normally just smell the aroma from them when you start to work them into your skin. But with this actual Body Lotion the aroma hits you as soon as you start to dispense it from the packaging.

                      When I am using this body lotion I find that two blobs similar to the size of ten pence pieces are more than a sufficient amount to fully moisturise my full body from head to toe. The thick consistency of the body lotion means that it is really easy to apply and it is absorbed into your skin almost immediately so you don't have to wait around for it drying before you can get dressed. Some body lotions which I have used in the past have took a while to be absorbed into my skin and have also left a somewhat greasy and sticky feel on my skin but with this one my skin doesn't have a sticky feel to it, the only difference I notice with my skin after using this body lotion is the fact that it is really soft and smooth feeling. After the first application if this body lotion I immediately noticed a significant difference in the feel of my skin. Some other body lotions which I have used have took a few applications before I have noticed a little improvement in the condition of my skin, but with this particular body lotion one application shows significantly better skin feel and condition.

                      The scent which the leaves on Body Lotion leaves on my skin is absolutely gorgeous, and it smells almost identical to that of the complimentary perfume although the Body Lotion has more of a sweeter and slightly more muskier aroma than what the fragranced perfume does. The Jean Paul Gaultier Body Lotion smells mainly of sweet vanilla and sweet musk which is complimented my the warm and rich aroma of Amber which is complimented by a very subtle orange aroma which adds a little fruity element to the scent so as it doesn't smell as sweet and musky. You can also detect a very light and subtle rose aroma which adds a little richness and floral twist to the fragrance creating depth and warmth as well as giving the scent a more uplifting aroma. I think that this Body lotion combined with the use of the shower gel and the perfume creates a wonderful rich long lasting and sweet aroma. The perfume itself has relatively great staying power but if you combine it with the other Jean Paul Gaultier Classique fragranced products in the range then the scent lasts on your skin for well over 15 hours or so; therefore you don't need to use as much perfume; which is an excuse for me as I say to hubby that if I buy the other fragranced products in the range then I wont spend as much on a big bottle of the Classique perfume.

                      Jean Paul Gaultier Classique is described as having the following fragrance notes ~

                      top notes of Lemon, Mandarin, Orange and Rose;
                      Middle notes of Ylang-Ylang, Ginger and Jasmine;
                      Base notes of Cinnamon, Cedar, Amber and Vanilla.

                      Jean Paul Gaultier Classique and other fragranced bath and body products can be bought in store from most larger perfume or department stores such as John Lewis, Debenhams or Boots or alternatively you could also try some online retailers as well. I usually find that beauty products and cosmetics are far cheaper online as opposed to buying them in store, so you can save some money and treat your self to another couple of things if you buy online because that's what I do.

                      A 200ml bottle of the body lotion should last you approximately 8 weeks or so if you are using it on a daily basis, however if you are only going to use it every now and again then it will last you a longer length of time. When you have opened and started using a bottle of the body lotion you have up to 12 months to finish it before it needs throwing out, so it has quite a good shelf life for those who are only going to use it every so often.

                      The prices for the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Body Lotion and other fragranced bath and body products in the range are as follows and have been quoted from the Escentual website ~

                      200ml Beauty cream £34.50
                      200ml Beauty Lotion £24
                      20ml Eau De Parfum Roll On £27
                      100ml Eau De Parfum £62
                      50ml Eau De Parfum £47
                      30ml Eau De Parfum £30
                      200ml Shower Gel £22

                      I think that Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Body Lotion is a fantastic product as it not only highly fragrances your skin but it also moisturises and the best thing about the body lotion is the fact that it is supplied in really elegant and decorative packaging. The only disadvantage about the product is the fact that it is quite expensive to buy. This is a gorgeous fragranced body lotion which I'm sure that most people will like. If you like fragrances such as Rare Gold or Musk then I'm sure you will love this scent as well as they are all fairly similar.

                        Jean Paul Gaultier Classique shower gel can be bought from most larger perfume stores or alternatively online however the price for the shower gel can cost a small fortune depending on where you purchase it from; so looking around for a cheaper deal is probably your best bet if you like the sound of this shower gel. A 200ml bottle of the shower gel can cost anything between £18-£24 however you might be able to grab yourself a bargain on eBay if your lucky and get the shower gel at a much cheaper price. One thing I really love about the Jean Paul Gaultier fragrances is the packaging and even with the shower gel the packaging is still top notch as it is really creative and decorative in appearance. Just like the perfume Jan Paul Gaultier Classique shower gel is supplied In a cylindrical tin container which in my opinion looks like an oversized tin of baked beans the only apparent difference is the fact that the Jean Paul Gaultier name is embellished onto the tin container. Inside the tin container you will find a well presented female torso which is in-fact the bottle of shower gel. The shape of the torso is of a voluptuous woman and not your typical size 0 model, the only difference between the packaging for the shower gel and the perfumes is the fact that the shower gel bottle is made from plastic and not glass and it has less shape and design. Basically the shower gel bottle is made from a squeezable plastic material which is a light creamy peach colour and has the Jean Paul Gaultier name and fragrance name printed onto it in gold metallic lettering which adds a little bit of sophistication to the packaging design and appearance.

But with this shower gel I was extremely impressed with every aspect of it and is one of the main reasons I have bought another bottle of it regardless of the high price tag. The shower gel inside the tube/bottle is of a medium thick consistency, I would say that the consistency of the shower gel is fairly similar to that of Fairy Liquid although maybe just a little thinner. The shower gel has a gel like appearance and is fairly clear in colour although you do notice a slight pearlescent appearance shining through it when it reflects the light. With some shower gels you don't actually smell the fragrance from them as soon as you dispense them from the actual packaging onto your hand/sponge, you normally just smell the aroma from them when you start to work them into your skin and produce a lather. But with this actual shower gel the aroma hits you as soon as you start to dispense it from the packaging.

                        The medium thick consistency of the shower gel means that you don't actually have to use that much of it in order to get bathed with. I normally dispense the shower gel onto a bath puff and find that one blob the size of a ten pence piece is a more than adequate amount to get washed with; however if you aren't going to use a bath puff or a sponge and you prefer to use the shower gel on your hand you will find that you will use double if not treble the amount which in my opinion is just a waste of a perfectly good shower gel. Another downside to using the shower gel on your hand as opposed to a sponge or similar is the fact that you don't get a particularly good lather, where as with a sponge or bath puff the shower gel creates an extremely thick, creamy and bubbly lather almost instantly on your skin. The thick and creamy lather from the shower gel feels nice and soft on your skin as you are using it, it doesn't feel harsh nor does it make your skin feel itchy or irritated; instead it feels as if the shower gel is moisturising and caring for your skin. Also I find that the shower gel rinses off your skin really easily and effortlessly despite the sheer thickness and creaminess of it and it doesn't leave a sticky or tacky residue on your skin or in and around the bath/shower.

                        After I got fully washed and dried I noticed that my skin felt a lot smoother and softer than it did before I used the shower gel, and it was also highly fragranced; which is due to the fact that the shower gel does have a strong fragrance. Even although the fragrance of the shower gel is strong, it isn't a strong heady scent which would give you a sore head, it has more of a fresh sweet strong aroma. The fragrance from the shower gel really does linger on my skin for quite sometime, usually shower gels only fragrance my skin for approximately 4 hours or so before they fade away; but with Jean Paul Gaultier Shower Gel the fragrance lingered on my skin for almost eight hours before it could no longer be smelt on my skin. The fragrance from the shower gel also lingers in the bathroom as well for a short time, the fragrance lingers in the air for up to an hour and a half before it gradually starts to fade away.

                        The scent which the shower gel leaves on my skin is absolutely gorgeous, and it smells almost identical to that of the complimentary perfume although the shower gel has more of a sweeter and slightly more muskier aroma than what the fragranced perfume does. The Jean Paul Gaultier Shower Gel smalls mainly of sweet vanilla and sweet musk which is complimented my the warm and rich aroma of Amber which is complimented by a very subtle orange aroma which adds a little fruity element to the scent so as it doesn't smell as sweet and musky. You can also detect a very light and subtle rose aroma which adds a little richness and floral twist to the fragrance creating depth and warmth as well as giving the scent a more uplifting aroma. I think that this shower gel combined with the use of the body lotion and the perfume creates a wonderful rich long lasting and sweet aroma.

                        Top notes of Lemon, Mandarin, Orange and Rose;
                        Middle notes of Ylang-Ylang, Ginger and Jasmine;

                        A 200ml bottle of the shower gel should last you approximately 8 weeks or so if you are using it on a daily basis, however if you are only going to use it every now and again then it will last you a longer length of time. When you have opened and started using a bottle of the shower gel you have up to 12 months to finish it before it needs throwing out, so it has quite a good shelf life for those who are only going to use it every so often.

                        The prices for the Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Shower Gel and other fragranced bath and body products in the range are as follows and have been quoted from the Escentual website ~

                        200ml Beauty cream £34.50
                        200ml Beauty Lotion £24
                        20ml Eau De Parfum Roll On £27
                        100ml Eau De Parfum £62
                        50ml Eau De Parfum £47
                        30ml Eau De Parfum £30
                        200ml Shower Gel £22

                        I think that Jean Paul Gaultier Classique Shower Gel is a fantastic product as it not only highly fragrances your skin but it also moisturises and he best thing about the shower gel is the fact that it is supplied in really elegant and decorative packaging. The only disadvantage about the product is the fact that it is quite expensive to buy. This is a gorgeous fragranced shower gel which I'm sure that most people will like. If you like fragrances such as Rare Gold or Musk then I'm sure you will love this scent as well as they are all fairly similar.

                          Advantages

                          Disadvantages

                          A fantastic websote offering saveings on Cosmetics. Great Prices, Service and Delivery Timescales.

                          I love my cosmetics just as much as I like my perfumes; however I have started to notice that the prices for cosmetics these days are getting more and more expensive, which sort of puts me off buying them in the high street stores mainly because if you shop around you can get a much cheaper price on most cosmetic products online. Browsing the internet one night I decided to do a Google search to see if I could find a website which offered cheaply priced cosmetics, and within minutes I had a long list of different websites to choose from. However one website in particular instantly appealed to me mainly because the prices of their products were dirt cheap and most of all the website was really easy to use and nicely presented. Since discovering the joys of cosmetics4less.net I have ordered quite a lot of products from it in the last 5 months or so; I have placed 9 separate orders with the site and haven't encountered a single problem what so ever, as all of the products which I have ordered have arrived on time and the products are in excellent condition.

                          The cosmetics4less website was first established in 2004 and since then the site has built up quite a lot of customers whom regularly order from the site. The cosmetics4less business is owned by a lady called Sue Reeves and the business is situated in the Orkney Islands in the North of Scotland. As soon as you enter the cosmetics4less website by simply entering cosmetics4less.net into your browser you are greeted by a very plain yet simple looking website which is mainly all black and white in colour; which is very easy on the eyes as the site's design is kept to a minimal and not overloaded with different features and products which can sometimes distract or confuse the customer. All of the important parts of the website such as the product finder and categories etc are easily identified on the left hand side of the home page as they are highlighted in black tabs . You will also notice that there are a few other highlighted tabs which run across the top of the webpage, these other tabs direct you to the check out, home page and contact us. The content on the webpage also changes on a regular basis so as you know what's new in and what the best sellers are, Each of the different sections on the homepage are easily accessible so as you can be directed to the area of your choice quickly and efficiently.

                          ==Product Categories==

                          As I mentioned earlier in this review there are a lot of different cosmetic products available to purchase from the cosmetics4less website and all of the products are categorised into tabs which can be found on the left hand side of the screen. The product categories which are available on the site are as follows. ~

                          '''Blusher & Bronzer ~''' if you are looking for a new Bronzing powder or a blusher then as the name of this section suggests this is where you should head. There are lots of different bronzers to choose from and they are all manufactured by leading designer names such as Elizabeth Arden, Maybelline and Max Factor just to name a few. As soon as you have entered the Blusher and Bronzer section of the website you will notice that there aren't lots and lots of different pages of blush and bronzers to look through; all of the items are listed on the one page so as you can easily and quickly browse through all of the products in this particular category. Each product on the page has its own particular photo and small description as well as the price you pay for the product; however if you would like to read more about the product before you decide to purchase it then you can click on the mane of the product and you will be redirected to that products particular page where you can read a detailed description about the product as well as some other information such as the weight of the product etc.

                          '''Foundation ~'''if you are in need of a new foundation whether it be in liquid form of compact or even powder then you are sure to find it in this category. There are lots of different foundations to choose from which are all available in a range of different colours to suit your own particular skin tone. Just like the Blusher and bronzer category all of the foundations available are listed on one page where you can see a picture of the product, the shade, price and read a mini description of the product. Clicking on the name of the product will direct you to the specific page where you can read a more detailed description on the product as well as read some more specific details such as the weight etc. The foundations available are all manufactured by designer and leading names such as Max Factor and Elizabeth Arden just to name a few.

                          '''Concealers ~ in this category you will find a wide range of different concealers in different colours and formats. You will have the option to choose from concealer sticks and pencils from manufacturers such as MAC and Bourjois. Like all of the other categories on this website each product has its own designated picture and description which when clicked on will redirect you to a full product description of your selected concealer product.

                          '''Powder Compacts ~'''in this category you will find a vast range of different powder compacts manufactured by big name companies such as Maybelline, Finish Matte and Everest.

                          '''Skin Care ~''' If your skin is feeling and looking a little dull and dry then you should head straight for this category as you can easily and quickly find a skin pick me up lotion at a cheap price. Whether it be a hand cream, face cream, or body cream then you are sure to find one to suit you even if you have sensitive skin as some of the creams are even specifically designed for those whom have sensitive skin.

                          '''Fragrance ~''' I love perfumes however there arent very many to choose from on this website, at present there are only 9 perfumes to choose from and they are mainly Elizabeth Arden perfumes which I don't particularly like as the scents don't seem to suit me. However If you are a fan of Elizabeth Arden perfumes then you can pick up a huge 100ml bottle of Green Tea for as little as £6.99.

                          '''Special Offers ~''' if like me you are always on the look out for a bargain or a particular product at a discounted price then this category is right up your street as there are a lot of different products to choose from which have prices as low as £0.89, you can choose from creams, lipsticks, nail polishes etc. All of the content on this particular section of the website is updated on a regular basis so you should always check back to see what else has been added.

                          There are many other different categories which all have the same layout and appearance as the categories I have already described. The other cosmetic categories which can be found on the left hand side of the webpage are ~ Eyeliner, Eye shadow, Mascara, Lip Gloss, Lip Stick, Face and Body Make-Up, For darker Skin Tones, Nail polish, Gift Sets, Handbag Essentials.

                          ==Layout==

                          The website is nicely laid out and easy to navigate around so as finding products is made easier. There is also a search function which you can also use if you know the name of a particular manufacturers product you would like to purchase. The search function is easy to spot on the top left hand side of the screen as it is highlighted in gold coloured lettering against a black background so as it stands out a little more that the other tabs on the webpage. If you don't know the name of a specific product then you could easily use the drop down boxes which are to be found to the right of the search box. These drop down boxes allow you to either select the name of a brand/manufacturer or alternatively a product or you could use both functions at the same time to narrow down your search results somewhat.

                          All of the products on the website have their own assigned page where you get to see a close up image of the product in question; some of the products on the website (not all) also show you a picture of the packaging as well (e.g. perfume box) so as you know exactly how it is going to look when you get it delivered. What is also very useful about the layout is the fact that there is a very detailed product description next to the products.

                          For instance some of the foundations explain what particular skin type they are best suited for and which other products and colours work well with the product in question. Some of the powdered products such as foundations or eye shadows for instance tell you which way best to apply them and what kind of make up brush and technique you should use. if it is a moisturiser or a cream then you will be told what the cream is for, if it contains special vitamins or minerals which help to soothe and moisturise your skin. Nearly all of the products contain very detailed product descriptions, however some of them don't really have that much of a description such as shower gels etc as these are mainly self explanatory products.

                          Below the product descriptions the price of the product is clearly noticeable, however there is only one disadvantage compared to other websites and that is the fact that it doesn't tell you how much of a saving you make compared to the RRP of the product; however I usually just check the prices on Boots to see how much money you would save; particularly if I think that the product in question is a little highly priced. Although most of the products on the website are substantially cheaper than buying them on high street stores as you save between 20-70%, I have yet to come across a product which costs the same as it would on the high street.

                          Some of the products have more than one listing however the contents value inside differ, the cheapest ones contain less and the more expensive ones contain more, all sizes and contents are printed quite boldly on the website so you know exactly what your getting for your money. So before placing your order it is a good idea to check all the sizes available and purchase the size closer to your own personal choice and needs. I find that you save more money if you opt for the larger sized products compared to the smaller ones; especially when perfumes are concerned.

                          ==Payment and Delivery==

                          Once you have found a product(s) you would like to purchase from the cosmetics4less website then all you need to do is select the quantity and add to basket. Once you have finished shopping click on checkout where you will be directed to the payments page. Once you have reached the payments page you will be able to check the full price of your order so as you can check all the items you wish to purchase are listed etc. Once you are happy with the items you have selected you have to first of all choose your country from a list and then you will be directed to the payment methods page where by you enter your credit/debit card details.

                          Like any other website when you are paying for your items you simply have to input your name, billing address, post code, telephone number and email address so as your payment and order confirmation can be mailed to you. You could also check the box which states remember me if you are going to be using the website again, which basically remembers all of your details except your credit card details mainly due to security and privacy reasons.

                          The payment options which are accepted by the website are as follows MasterCard, Visa, Visa Electron, Solo, Maestro

                          Once your order has been submitted and paid for via credit card you will receive a confirmation email which will confirm the order you have just placed. Once confirmation has been received the goods you ordered should arrive at your home within 2-5 working days via first class mail. If you choose special recorded delivery then your items will be received the next day provided they are placed before 1pm on a week day. Items which have been ordered on a Sunday should arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

                          All of the items which I have ordered from this site have always been wrapped up well in bubble wrap so as they don't get damaged during transit. Every time I have received an order the items have been in perfect condition when I have opened them up.

                          The delivery charges for the website are very low, in-fact if you place an order below the sum of £25 regardless of how many items you order you will only pay a flat rate of £2.95. If your order totals more than £25 then you wont pay any delivery fee unless you opt for special recorded delivery, which costs £7 flat fee.

                          ==Returns and Exchanges==

                          The website does offer a refund and exchange service, so if you aren't happy with an item you have received or you have changed your mind about it once received then you can send it back within 30 days for a full refund. All products which are being returned must be unused and contain a covering letter with your name address order number and a reason for returning before a monetary refund will be issued. The items which you are returning must however be unused due to health and hygiene reasons.

                          I have never felt the need to return any products which I have purchased from the website as they have always arrived in great condition and the products received are the ones which I specified. However if I do return any products to the website then I will however update this review.

                          ==My Opinion==

                          I think that Cosmetics4less is a fairly good website to order from as there is a wide range of different products to choose from, each product has a great product description so as you know exactly what the product is like and what it does. The best thing about the site is the fact that all of the items are really cheaply priced compared to other online retailers and high street stores; most of the products which appear on the website have a minimum of 20% slashed off their recommended retail price. The products are all 100% genuine and are exactly just like the ones you would buy in a high street shop; the only difference being is the fact that the website offers the products at a really cheap price.

                          There are lots of big branded products on the website to choose from such as Max Factor L'Oreal, Elizabeth Arden just to name a few. There is so much choice and a wide range of different products on the website that your sure to find something which you like or even purchase regularly on the high street.

                          I have ordered goods from the Cosmetics4less website on 9 separate occasions and haven't experienced any problems what so ever regarding payment, delivery or quality of goods. The standard delivery is speedy and none of my items have get lost in the post or failed to arrive. The longest I had to wait for a delivery from Cosmetics4less was 4 days and that was because I placed the order on a Thursday night and it didn't arrive until the Monday morning.

                          For more information on the website have a look at it www.cosmetics4less.net

                            Advantages

                            Disadvantages

                            A gorgeous body lotion to compliment the scent of the perfume

                            Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling is a fragrance which was launched by Kylie Minogue in August 2007 following the success of her earlier perfume which was named Darling. As well as the perfume you can also purchase the Sweet darling scented bath and body products which help to layer and compliment the scent of the perfume. Sweet Darling as the name suggests is a very sweet smelling and slightly musky perfume which has really good staying power; however some people may find that the scent of the perfume doesn't really last on their skin very well, especially if they have dry or oily skin types. People who have these skin types or simply find that the perfume smells too light on them would benefit from using the matching bat and body products of the same fragrance as this would help to layer the scent of the perfume and make it smell slightly stronger as well as increasing the longevity of the scent because you are applying a base for the scent to adhere to. Everyone's skin is different and may experience that the perfume and or matching body products smell slightly differently on them and the scent may last a longer or shorter amount of time on your skin.

                            As you can see from the picture at the top of this review, the Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling Body Lotion is supplied in a gorgeous pearlescent shaded plastic tube which has a black flip top lid which you just flip upwards to dispense the body lotion and flip back down again so as the body lotion doesn't leak everywhere. The packaging for the body lotion is quite plain and simplistic looking, but at the same time it still looks classy all the same. Basically it doesn't have many details on it apart from the name of the fragrance as well as some swirls and black highlighting.

                            The body lotion is easily dispensed from the tube by gently squeezing it until you have the desired amount. When I dispensed the body lotion from the tube I was immediately impressed by the consistency of it because it was really nice thick and creamy. Normally when I purchase body lotions which compliment a perfume I am sometimes disappointed by the consistency of them because they are either too thin and runny and difficult to apply or they have really horrible fragrances which smell nothing like the matching perfume. But with Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling I was really surprised with everything about it; mainly because it smelt really fresh and airy. To be honest I could really find any faults with neither the body lotion nor the packaging, the only thing which I think could cause a problem is the flip top lid because on most other body lotions or shower gels the flip top lids have a habit of breaking off.

                            The thick consistency of the body lotion meant that I didn't have to use a lot of it on my body because of the thickness a little of it spread a long way. When I am applying a body lotion I like to start at my feet and gradually work my way up my body applying the body lotion in small circular motions so as I am evenly distributing the body lotion onto my skin. The Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling Body Lotion is easily absorbed into my skin and it is dry almost instantly, so there is no need to wait around for it to soak in. Another think which I thought was really good about the body lotion was the fact that it didn't leave a sticky or greasy residue on my skin, nor did it leave my skin looking shiny and oily. The best thing about the body lotion is the fact that it left a slight shimmered effect on my skin, there were tiny flecks of purple and sliver shimmer particles throughout the body lotion and when the light catches on them your skin looks all lovely and shimmery.

                            After the first application of the Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling Body Lotion I noticed that my skin felt very soft and smooth which is unusual for some fragranced body lotions which compliment perfumes as these normally only fragrance your skin. The fragrance from the body lotion lingered on my skin for a good few hours after I applied it; I would say that the fragrance lasted on my skin for approximately three hours or so before it gradually faded away. However If I used the Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling Shower Gel before applying the Body Lotion then the scent smells slightly stronger and lasts on my skin for approximately four and a half hours.

                            The scent which the body lotion leaves on my skin is gorgeous; it has a really light, sweet, musky aroma. The body lotion smells almost identical to the Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling Perfume the only difference being is the fact that the body lotion has a lighter subtler aroma. The body lotion smells mainly of Passion Fruit, Lychee, Cotton candy and Vanilla with a very subtle hint of freesia. I think that it is the Vanilla and Cotton candy which gives the scent of the body lotion its very sweet nature where as the Passion fruit gives the fruity cocktail twist and the Freesia adds a little floral depth giving the whole scent more depth and warmth. I think that it is a very nice fragrance which is really feminine and light, and combined with the shower gel and perfume I think that Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling is a fantastic scent to wear in the warmer spring and summer months. However I wouldn't recommend this fragrance to be used in the colder winter months because it doesn't have a lot of depth, warmth and richness.

                            Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling is described as having the following
                            fragrance notes -

                            _Top Notes of Passion Fruit, Freesia and Lychee_
                            _Heart Notes of Boronia, and Cotton Candy_
                            _Base Notes of Australian Sandalwood, Patchouli and Vanilla_

                            Kylie Minogue Sweet Darling Perfume and matching bath and body products can be purchased from larger department stores such as Debenhams or Boots although the price may differ depending on where you purchase it from. You can also purchase it online from some online perfume and cosmetics websites; you will most probably get a cheaper deal if you purchase it online as most online retailers offer cheaper deals compared to larger department stores so it is a good idea to check for the cheapest offer.

                            A 150ml tube of Sweet Darling Body Lotion should last approximately 8 weeks or so if you are using it on a daily basis. However if you are only going to be using it every now and again for some extra skin hydration and moisturising then you will find that the tube will last you a lot longer. Once you have opened your tube of Sweet Darling Body Lotion you have 12 months to use it all up before it needs throwing out, I think that it has a particularly good shelf life considering you can keep it for a year if it is opened.

                            The prices for Kylie Minogue Eau De Toilette as well as the complimentary bath and body products are as follows -

                            30ml EDT - £19.09
                            50ml EDT - £25.45
                            150ml Body Lotion - £12.23
                            200ml Shower Gel - £15.86

                            I think that Sweet Darling Body Lotion is a great product to use because it not only fragrances your skin but also softens and hydrates and leaves it looking and feeling great as well. Even although it is a bit more expensive compared to other high street branded body lotions I will still continue to purchase it as I love the fragrance of it and it also layers the scent of the perfume giving it more staying power on my skin. I also found that the body lotion was particularly good for rubbing on the dry skin on my elbow as it stopped it from itching and it also helped it clear up quicker.

                              Advantages

                              Disadvantages

                              Pre Glued Nails that arent worth the money in my opinion

                              I used to go to the Salon every other week to get false nails applied, but more recently I have been purchasing packs of false nails from high street stores and applying them myself. One of the main reasons for buying packs of nails and applying them myself is the fact that it is more cost effective as I can pick up a pack of false nails for as little as £4 where as it costs me over £15 to have them applied in the Salon. In my opinion there are upsides and downsides to doing your own nails, the main advantages are the fact that it is more cost effective to do it yourself, there are many different styles of nails to choose from and you can apply them in the comfort of your own home. Some of the downsides to doing it yourself are - your nails might not look as good as Salon Nails, you can get the glue everywhere and stick your fingers together and they don't last as long.

                              I have tried lots of different False Nails bought from High Street stores, some have been really good ones which looked good and lasted a good length of time before they started falling off and others have been a complete waste of money and time applying them as they seemed to fall off really quickly and they looked awful.

                              As I have previously mentioned there are lots of different nails on the market to choose from, many from different manufacturers with prices ranging from a small £4 right up to over £10 per pack. The most popular type of false nail in my opinion has to be the French Tip style which looks clean, classy and elegant but there are a lot of different other types which aren't as plain looking for those who prefer a more glitzy look there are nails which are coloured and have designs on the tips such as a glitter effect and even some with beads and jewels on them. I think they type of nail you choose is just down to personal taste and opinion. I normally opt for a more glitzy nail for nights out and sick to plain French Tips for during the week when I'm at work.

                              The most recent False Nails which I chose were the Elegant Touch Pre Glued Nails - mainly because I thought that these would be more time efficient and easier to apply as I wouldn't have to mess around with nail glue and run the risk of gluing my fingers together which I have done on many an occasion. The Elegant Touch Nails which I recently purchased were from Semi Chem. and only cost me £3.99 which I thought was good value for money considering many of my previous purchases cost me in the region of £7 per pack. The packaging the nails were contained in was just like many of the other packs of nails on the market - contained in a small cardboard box which has a plastic front so as you can see the shape, design and general size of the nails inside it. In my opinion the packaging for these nails was quite plain and simple as it mainly consisted of the Elegant Touch Logo in a purple coloured box at the top of the pack of nails as well as a diagram of a lady's hand wearing the nails. On the back of the pack there was some general information regarding the false nails and the fact that they were pre glued. It also showed you some other examples of the other packs of false nails available in the Elegant Touch range.

                              I opted for the Petite Sized nails as these aren't as long as the other sizes and I also opted for the ultra short style design which is basically your typical French tip styled nail but has a shorter white tip than normal. In the pack there was 24 pre glued nails in 12 different sizes so you are bound to get a nail which fits each finger perfectly.

                              Before applying the nails you must make sure that your own nails are clean and free from any residue or nail varnish. Before applying the nails I like to just run over my own nails with some nails polish remover on a cotton pad just to make sure there is no residue - then apply a hand and nail cream about an hour or so before I apply the nails so as it has time to dry in and soak into my skin and cuticles. After this is done I gently push back the cuticles on my nails before getting ready to apply the nails on top of my own nails. One of the most important things to do before applying the nails is to sort through them and find the ones which fit each of your fingers the best, by placing the nail just above your own nails to make sure that the nails you are going to adhere to your fingers aren't too small or too big. A nail which is too big for your finger is quite uncomfortable to wear as it tends to dig into the skin around the edge of your nails. A nail which is slightly too small for your finger is much better to apply rather than one which is too big. Once you have found all the nails which fit your fingers best you are ready to start applying them one by one. I prefer to apply the nails to my right hand first as it is easier for me to apply the nails to my left hand afterwards for some reason - I think it is because I am right handed and it is easier to apply the nails to my left hand with the nails already applied to my right hand. I sometimes find it a struggle to do it the other way around as I find it harder to get a grip of the nail and position it on the nail properly.

                              Because these particular nails are pre glued they are a lot quicker to apply and you don't run the risk of gluing your fingers together with the Nail Glue which is very strong and similar to that of Super Glue. Applying the nails couldn't be simpler all you simply have to do is position the nails slightly above your cuticle and hold down firmly for a few seconds before releasing the pressure and your nail is applied and stuck down. You just simply repeat this step until all of your fingers have a false nail stuck to them.

                              The general look of the nails is very shiny in appearance which is similar to that of your own nails painted with a clear nail polish, the tips of the nails are bright white and the rest of the nails are a pale pink colour which is slightly lighter in appearance than your own nail colour. The general feel of the nails is a soft plastic material which is quite flexible so as it moulds to the shape of your own nail on application. Some people have higher arched nails where as others have a flatter style of nail, it just depends on each individual wearing the nail and the type of nail they have, but as previously stated the nails are flexible and mould to the shape of your own nail.

                              The glue which is already pre-glued onto the false nails is like double sided tape in my opinion as it is like a sticky film on the underside of the nail. I was expecting the nails to be quite sticky and sturdy when applied just like using nail glue however I was really disappointed by the end result as the nails didn't stick to my nails as well as I thought they would. I found that they stated to peel away from the fingernail about 30 minutes after application and they didn't feel secure. After applying the nails I was replying to a few work emails and the some of the nails started to come off my fingers, mainly on my little fingers and index fingers. The instruction leaflet advised that if the nails started to some off that you should just apply a little pressure to the nails affected and that they would adhere to your own nail again, however I didn't find this happened as the nails had lost their stickiness after an hour of originally applying them. I had to resort back to the good old faithful nail glue and stick the nails onto my finger again. After doing this with some left over nail glue from a previous pack of false nails I found that the nails felt more secure on my fingers and they didn't come off when typing, doing the dishes or housework. In all the nails lasted on my fingers for 6 days before they started falling off which was really expected as I had to stick them on with nail glue - where as the pre glued nails only lasted an hour at the most before they started to fall off.

                              Removing the nails is really easy all you have to do is soak your fingers in some nail polish remover to loosen the glue so as the nail starts to come off. You should never try to forcibly pull the nail off your finger as this is very painful and you could damage your entire nail which would take months to repair itself.

                              In general the size and fit of the nails was very good as I found nails which fitted my fingers perfectly, and the length of them was also quite good as they weren't too long - they were only approximately 5mm longer than the tips of my fingers. The appearance of the nails was also quite nice as they had a square tip rather than a rounded one, however if you prefer a rounder tipped nail you could purchase the other shape in the Elegant Touch range or file the nail into a more rounder shape.

                              The only downside to these nails was the fact that they didn't stick to my fingers as well as I would have hoped and that I had to resort to the good old faithful nail glue which totally defeated the purpose of purchasing pre glued nails.

                              Personally despite the cheap cost of these nails and the comfortable fit and range of sizes available I wouldn't recommend them as they totally defeated the purpose of pre glued nails. I think that these nails would probably be better for teenagers to wear as they are easy to apply and come off really easily which would be a good thing to wear at the weekends as they would definitely off in time for the weekend.

                              These nails can be purchased from most high street stores which stock beauty products such as Semi Chem., Superdrug, Boots, Body Care and even some supermarkets such as Asda and Tescos. At a price of £3.99 they are a slight waste of money as you really need to use nail glue with them.
