I always found it hard to think of being in love with anyone going through school I didn't have the greatest of times through school, and my first thought was why would anyone love me? As the years went by I sort of steadily grew inside trying to shake off things from the past, which I have now done thanks to my wonderful girlfriend.
I first encountered my wonderful girlfriend at university where we both attend, I first saw her in the student bar before term ended. I was in the student bar when I noticed her buying a drink which looked like vodka and coke, good drinking choice I thought. It was quite hard to see her properly as there were people in the way. But when the person who was getting served next to her moved away, I froze on the spot and took in the glorious sight I immediately felt something within me and without further ado, walked over to her. After a long conversation in which Paris Hilton popped up we exchanged numbers. Unfortunately term ended before we were able to see each other again. We had a long 4 months of not seeing each were we constantly texted and called each other before we were both back at university. We arranged to meet at the bottom of her street and walk to a local pub called The Bell. I still remember taking ages as what to wear and the feeling I got walking to meet her, it was a buzz that same feeling you get to an a big event, it was quite empowering. I thought I was going to be a nervous wreck but, I instantly felt at ease and relaxed with her she seemed to give me confidence just by being beside me, the date went extremely well and that was the start of our wonderful relationship.
Love is one of them indescribable things, its something you feel within you. I absolutely love my girlfriend to pieces, its amazing how much extra energy and fight that I seem to have found which I never knew I had. Love is a very powerful and curious thing, I find it's a great feeling knowing that you have someone there that will always be there for you, listen and be able to make you smile with absolute ease.
There are so many things that about my girlfriend that make me smile even the simple things, such as the way she yawn's, laughs, looks at me, and rests her head on me. I always find myself feeling a deep warm fizzing sensation rising inside when I see her, and everything just seems to evaporate. I absolutely adore her eyes and smile and this little hmm noise she makes when she is tired or if she agrees with something. I can't count the number of things I love about her, I just need to look at her and I smile and if we both look at each we usually end up laughing. There are so many things which we find funny together that from the outside would just seem a little silly, things such as little jingles, words and phrases ("plastic one with handles" or sticky little...") done in accents. There is also Mr Cakey who is a very dear friend of ours and the red haired man, who we have over for tea every once and a while. I also find it very difficult to fall asleep without her being in bed with me, just being able to hear her as im drifiting on, makes me feel warm, happy and more relaxed. She is brilliant at cooking, she has introduced me to foods I would never have tried before hand, such as Rissoto, Gnocci, varity of different cheeses, courgettes, kiwi fruit, along with many others. Someone once told me might have been on TV, that "when you find someone who makes you happy just by sitting down with them watching TV then you have found your soulmate" might sound silly, but if I had to choose between a day out with my friends or sitting on the sofa with my girlfriend watching a movie, the sofa would win every time.
I love the feeling you get for being there for someone you love, its so heart warming to do things, knowing your making them smile and feel happy. I love being all romantic and occasionally surprising her with a gift, or flowers, I love her face when she see's them its priceless. I love her more and more each day, and I can honestly say that this moment in my life is the happiest I have ever been and I will continue to get happier. I received the best gift anyone could ever have given me for Valentines Day a trip to Paris. Paris has always intrigued the closest I got was driving past on the coach in the dark staring out the window hoping to see the Eifel tower and of course Notre dam (or the dam which I call it) which is a place from one of my old favourites, The hunchback and Notre Dam. During the trip to Paris my girlfriend had already booked a trip up the Eiffel tower and we saw the Notre Dam the following day, it was one of best weekends of my life spent with my favourite person. Since I have been with my girlfriend, I feel a lot more confident, when you have someone who loves you back as much as love you them and believes in you it gives you a great sense of pride. My girlfriend makes me who I am, if it weren't for her and her love I would be less then half the man I am.
I never understood all this you know when you have found the one business, but now I do, I can't explain but there's a feeling which takes hold of me and I can't picture any thought of the future without my girlfriend in it. Everything which I am looking forward to the most, involves her, things just feel as though they are meant to be.
If I look back to the time when I asked myself why would anyone love me, to now and taking that leap over my personal barrier I built, I realise now that only true love can help someone overcome there personal barriers, as love is about being a team, being there for each and helping each other through life, having fun, sharing moments and experiences. I have my girlfriend to thank for that, she means the world to me.
I woudlnt have her any other way, as to me she is perect. Love her lots xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
I have had this webcam for a good two years now it cost under £5 and its still being used relatively heavily today. The webcam comes in a box about 2 inches deep and 5 inches squared. In box there is an instruction manual, DVD and the webcam itself.
The webcam is made of black plastic, with a silver ring around the lens and silver button on the top of the webcam. The silver piece around the lens has a black ring which allows you to focus the webcam. The silver button when pressed will bring up a screen which allows for you to capture and change your webcam settings these settings are:
Before you can use these options you need to install the webcam onto your laptop, this is a very simple process as the instructions are very east to follow. When you insert the disc you will be given the option to install drivers which you do first then you install a programme called ArcSoft Videoimpression 2 the whole process takes around 3 minutes.
After install your webcam is ready to use, the image quality of the webcam is a reasonable standard for the price, it is slightly out of focus and it does go black for a couple of seconds every now and then.
The webcam can be easily attached to a laptop or flat LCD screen it has 2 fixed front legs and a rear adjustable 3rd leg which is used to clamp onto the screen.
Overall this webcam is very good value for money, its not the best but for the price it is brilliant I would recommend this webcam for people who want a casual webcam for chatting.
For Valentines Day my wonderful girlfriend booked a trip to Paris and a trip up the Legendary Eiffel Tower. I was extremely excited to get to Paris as I had never been before and couldn't think of a better way to celebrate Valentines Day.
We staying in the centre of Paris, about a 15 minutes taxi ride from our hotel to the Eiffel Tower, the taxi ride were amazing we drove past some famous landmarks and some beautiful parts of the city.
We spotted the Eiffel tower from the taxi window and what a sight it looked amazing all lit up with white lights flashing all around it, the white lights stopped flashing after a while but they did come back on later. When we got of the taxi we immediately looked up at the fabulous sight before us. We had our trip up the tower booked for 9.30pm since we were early we had a walk around underneath the tower which was full of salesmen selling illegal merchandise which can bought for a steeper price at the official souvenir shops for the tower. We took the opportunity to take some photos while we waited to go up the tower which we allowed to do at around 9.20pm, there was a warning sign saying poor visibility at the summit above the entrance.
After showing our tickets we had to walk a short way where a man greeted us asking what we had with us, after a light search we proceeded up some steps to the lift which had two separate floors each floor able to contain around 30-40 people. After a short while the lift stopped at the first floor where we were told to stay on if we have summit tickets. After a couple got off we continued a short way up the tower to the second floor where we were told we needed to transfer to another lift to get to the summit.
We got out on the second floor and decided to have a walk around this level land take in the fantastic Paris skyline. The visibility was slightly foggy in the distance but we were still able to see Paris all lit up was amazing. I was slightly on edge as it was a long way up, we creped around the outside getting a 360 view of Paris, and taking lots of photos.
After a while we decided, despite being a bit nervous due to how high were, we bravely entered the lift that would take us to the summit. What felt like a few minutes in the lift we reached the summit the visibility was very poor and despite being a lot higher we were a lot more comfortable at this height due to the fact we couldn't see much. We decided to do a lap at the top before heading back down. On our way around we saw there was a little shop where you could buy glasses of Champaign, we thought about getting some but for 20 Euros for two small glasses we decided to leave it.
On the way back down we got off once again at the 2nd floor having a little wonder around and look in one of the souvenir shops before heading down to the first floor. When we got off at the first floor we where shocked to see an ice rink, we seriously considered having a go but it seemed to closing and we didn't know how much it would be. Also on the second floor there was a restaurant and a cinema both were rather expensive. We had a little walk around before heading back to the ground floor. We had another small walk around the tower taking some photos and getting pestered by the salesmen, before leaving.
In conclusion the Eiffel Tower was amazing and I loved every minute of it, it was made all the better by being with my girlfriend. It was a great evening and would love to go back there.

I bought this suitcase for when I went to New York in September as I didn't have one. Ideally after spending quite a lot of money on my trip I wanted to get a bargain suitcase and got one I did in Sports Direct for £14.99 for a 28 inch case. There are also 3 other size options available: Laptop £10.99, 24inch £9.99 and the 32inch for £19.99 there is also a flight bag,16 and 20 inch available but I cant find the price.
The case hase 4 compartments it has 2 small zip pockets on the front which will easily hold a few books, a compartment on the back which is almost the size of the case which can neatly store some clothes, magazines or any other possesions. The main compartment is very spacious made even more so by a zip extender which gives you around an extra inch of storage space. The suitcase has wheels which are a great benefit when wheeling it around, it glides smoothly across most surfaces even footpaths. There is an extentable handle which can be adjusted to two seperate heights about 5 inches or 12, the handle can be easily placed back into the suitcase at the press of a button. The colour of the suitcase is black with a blue trim.
The main compartment has 2 zips which when brought together have an extra hole in them so they can be easily padlocked together making it difficult to enter it without the key. The other compartments only have 1 zip.
I filled my suitcase neatly to the brim so that it would easily close leaving enough space for all the souvineers I would probably end up buying. My suitcase arrived undamaged and in perfect condition when I landed in New York. For the return Journey my suitcase was now buldging slighlty and was a little difficult to close, this time when retriving it when landing in London I noticed the case was frayed around one of the edges (back of the case where the single big zip compartment is). I didnt think much of it, and when I used it for my second trip 3 months later to escort my girlfriend to St Etienne as she is studying there, the suitcase was in exactly the same condition when we arrived there. On the return journey my suitcase was considerbly lighter as I was carrying some of my girlfriends things in mine on the way there but did not have them with me on the way back. This time when I retrieved my case in London i notived the frayed area had split and the suitcase had a hole in it. Luckily nothing was missing for the suitcase. I am now back in the market for a more durable suitcase.
This suitcase is very cheap, but unfortunately the quality of the suitcase has obviously been comprimised. I would not reccomend this suitcase as I expect my luggage to last more than two trips!
I recently purchased this jacket from H&M and as it's received many compliments since I've been wearing it, I felt it very worthy of a review!
I'm not really one for treating myself to new clothes but I was shopping with my girlfriend and she really liked the jacket on me so I decided to buy it.
The jacket itself is a navy blue colour and quite fitted. The material is quite thin so I would definitely say this is more of a fashion jacket than a practical one. The collar, cuffs, and band around the bottom of the coat all have a red and a white stripe along them, which adds something extra to the otherwise quite plain jacket.
There are five pockets on the jacket, which is always handy! As I said, the jacket is quite thin so more of a summer jacket, definitely not one to wear in very cold weather. It is not waterproof but it does seem to absorb a lot of water rather then let water in, as I discovered when stupidly wearing it in torrential rain recently!
As I said before, I have received a lot of compliments wearing this jacket, and my girlfriend loves me in it, so I'm glad I bought it. It cost £24.99 so it wasn't too expensive, I'd say it's about the right price for what it is.
The jacket is from H&M and also is available in white which I actually think is nicer and I'm probably going to buy it next. It comes is eight different sizes ranging from 34R to 46R. I have seen it stocked in a couple of H&M stores that I've been in, I'm sure it will be in most of them, and it can also purchased from www.hm.com.
To conclude, I'd definitely recommend this jacket to anyone who wants something that will look nice and get compliments and go with most outfits. However if you're looking for a practical jacket to wear in cold weather then it's not the one for you!
Here is a countdown of my top 10 films that I could think of from the top of my head I know for a fact I am going to miss a few out that should be in this list but I still love each of the films on there.
10) Inception - Released in 2010. This film delves into dreams and the sub conscientious. The lead role is played by one of my favourite actors Leonardo DiCaprio he is assigned a task of planting an idea into someone's mind in a small team, in order to return home. The film will play with your mind and it can be hard to follow if you're not concentrating. The special effects on this film are sensational and I would love to know how they do some of it.
9) Avatar - Released in 2009 Avatar has broken pretty much every record there is. The films effects and techniques used is a giant leap in film making. The film is set on a remote planet called Pandora where a group of people called the Na'vi dwell. The Na'vi are trying to protect there land from the humans as they mine for unobtanium. The humans ask one of there own to infiltrate the Na'vi camp disguise in a Na'vi body called an Avatar but things don't go to plan.
8) Paranormal Activity - Another film released in 2009 and this one was right up my street. The film is about a couple being terrorised by a demon in their home, things go from bad to worse as the film progresses, keeping you on the edge of your seat throughout. This film is a love or hate film, its style which is cctv/handheld camera will not suit everyone's taste.
7) Rec - Released in 2007 Rec is a Spanish horror set in an apartment block. The film is shot handheld as though it is being recorded there and then similar to the Blair Witch. We start following a Fire Department around at the station when they are called to the apartment where they are greeted by police and led upstairs where they encounter something they do not intend. Well worth a watch, the film is in Spanish and only comes with English subtitles.
6) The Departed (2006) - Another Leonardo DiCaprio film that has made my top 10 list. The film consists of Jack Nicholson and Matt Damon who are the lead gangsters and Leonardo and Mark Wahlberg are the main good guys. The story consists of the good guys trying to create a case to arrest Jack Nicholson's character but with some help from Matt Damon things don't go to plan. The ending is very explosive there are a lot of twists which gives this film a truly memorable ending.
5) Lucky Number Slevin (2006) - Stars Bruce Willis, Morgan Freeman, Josh Hartnett among others. This film is fairly slow and keeps you guessing throughout the film as to what is actually happening but the clues are all there if you can work them out before the end where it will skim back throw the film and show you them all to give you the answers. Don't want to give anything away with this film to be honest but essentially there are two different gangs that want the other dead with a surprise twist.
4) Halloween - The original 1978 John Carpenter film is without doubt a true classic, the character of Michael Myers is one that will on through the ages, as he is such an iconic horror character. The film is based around Michael breaking out of jail and fleeing to a town where he hopes to finish the job he started years ago as a child by killing his family.
3) Superbad (2007) is one of my favourite comedy films it stars Michael Cera, Seth Rogan, Jonah Hill, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. In brief the story is about 3 guys who have 2 weeks left at high school who attend a party which they were invited to by Jules. Things don't really go to plan though.
2) Blood Diamond (2006) A fantastic filming following the story of Blood Diamonds in Africa, Leonardo DiCaprio is on the hunt for diamond which will allow him to leave Africa. The diamond was found by Djimon Hounsou who was captured from his village and sent to work in a mining camp, and then arrested while his son was taken to be a child soldier. With help Djimon Hounsou is led across the country in search of his son by Leonard DiCaprio who has his own intentions of retrieving the diamond.
1) Spirited Away (2001) Is an anime film by Studio Ghibli. The film follows ten year old Chihiro as she leaves her home behind when she moves to her new house. On the way to her new house her parents take a shortcut and lead Chihiro into a spirit world where she makes friends and enemies in the battle to find her parents and return the real world. The characterization and story in this film is just sensational, you really feel connected to the characters especially Chihiro, If you like cartoon/anime then this film is a must watch.
That is my top 10 list, there are some great films there which if you haven't had the chance to see I would recommend you try giving some a watch. Thanks for reading 
The album to end all albums as it was said when this album was released and it's easy to see why, highly regarded as Muse's best album although their latest album Resistance has been heavily praised. Absolution covers fear, mistrust, and joy. The album consists of 14 tracks. This is Muse's 3rd studio album (4th if you include Hullabaloo B-side/Live CD) it's also the first of Muse's albums to be released in the USA.
The intro sets up this album perfectly a marching sound. The apocalypse is here.
------Apocalypse Please------ 5/5
The piano and drum beat for this song is very powerful, especially when the lyrics kick in. You actually get a sense the end of he world is here, the song is occasionally broken up by a loop synth sound with some oooo's from Matt. I don't think Muse could have chosen any other song on this album to start with, a biblical track.
------Time Is Running Out------ 5/5
A nice groove bass intro leads into Time Is Running Out with some clapping and clicking of the fingers. This song is probably the catchiest on the album in my opinion. As with many songs they can mean different things to different people, to me this song is about someone who tried to give up being a musician but they were to addicted and made the big time, then they ask themselves how it came to this.
------Sing for Absolution------ 5/5
Eerie and uplifting are the words I would sue to describe this song. It starts with a piano piece with Matt singing very subtly before a uplifting guitar piece leads into the chorus which rises in volume and you sort of rise inside and feel the emotion of the song. After the chorus has been sung for a second time we lead into a heavy metal distorted guitar piece which is the pivotal moment of the uplift of this song. I think its right for this song to be named as the Album title as it defines all the other songs on the album, fear, forgiveness, joy, and mistrust.
------Stockholm Syndrome------ 5/5
Inspired by System of a Down, Stockholm Syndrome is the most energetic song on this album, when you listen to this song its best to turn up the volume and prepare to be blown away. The drum beat is incredible and holds the piece together perfectly; the guitar and bass basically seem to play the same notes really fast until the chorus, which is lead into by a increase in volume and a repetitive deep bass sound, followed by a piano piece leading start back into the fast energetic riff. The guitar solo is pretty simple the same notes over and over but my god does it sound good. This song has many aspects which make Muse, Muse, the fast paced music , the piano pieces, the bass, drums, vocals all work together seamlessly to create a song which you will surely listen to again to make sure what you actually heard was real.
------Falling Away With You------ 4/5
This song is one of the only song's Muse never play live, the song is basically a slow guitar piece with a synth being played through the chorus. The song is very deep in emotion to me its about breaking up with someone you love and trying to get over it by saying your lives have just began, but your falling away because of it like the person you love is.
This is a very short heavily distorted guitar piece which leads into the next song.
The intro to this song is simply amazing and in my opinion one of the best bass riffs out there. The bass holds this song together no question about it. The drums and guitar are also awesome and hold the rhythm nicely. The guitar solo is amazing and one of my favourite guitar solo's by muse. The vocals on this song are slightly distorted which works well with the instrumental.
One of Muse's classical pieces, I wish muse would make an album fully on classical music they are so adept at it. This song is very inspirational in my opinion and makes you question life. The song orchestral piece is fairly repetitive but it sounds amazing and is broken by a heavily distorted guitar playing the same tune as the orchestra eventually getting higher and higher pitched. When you listen to this song then Stockholm Syndrome you can really see Muse's versatility as musicians.
------Butterflies and Hurricanes------ 5/5
Get ready to turn the volume again this song is piano and bass driven with some orchestral overlays. The song gradually builds up more and more until it reaches it peak which lasts until a small interlude. The small interlude in this song is an amazing piano solo with a violin before it slowly builds back up into ending on a blast of sound. I was never one who liked classical music until I started listening to Muse now I love it and I have many classical CD's. I would say it was this song which made me appreciate it a lot more mainly due to that piano solo.
------The Small Print------ 4/5
A fast paced song with a great rhythm I love this song but I never find myself listening to it that often. When I do I ask myself why I don't listen to it more. I think that fact that it's a good song on a very good album has something to do with it, it's easily overlooked. I would describe this song as rock n roll it just has a big rock vibe; I love the guitar parts to this song in between the singing they are very unique and imaginative. I would recommend listening to this simply due to the fact it's a really good song which is overlooked so often.
I would say this song is sort of R&B style it's quite a repetitive song but its fairly addictive, it's a song I don't really listen to that often, however this is one of my friends favourite songs, he say's that the rhythm is catchy and the lyrics are amazing. I agree with it being a catchy song but I wouldn't say the lyrics are amazing.
------Thoughts of a Dying Atheist------ 5/5
This is one of my favourite Muse songs, I love everything about it. The song gets you to question life and death. The vocals make this song in my opinion it is sung perfectly and the guitar solo is sensational. It's a song that seems to be quite often overlooked, Muse never seem to play it live since the Absolution tour which is a shame as I think its one of there best songs personally.
------Ruled by Secrecy------ 5/5
My favourite song from this album, it's classical piano driven. The song is about everything that has happened in the past, everything that is happening now and everything that is going to happen in the future. There aren't too many lyrics in this song but they have a very deep meaning. One of the reasons I absolutely love his song is because of the vocals they are so eerie and send a shiver down my spine. The piano solo sounds simple but fits perfectly into this song. The album couldn't have ended on a better song it summarises the meaning of the album nicely.
For those of you who haven't heard much or any Muse before I would recommend to listen to this album or The Resistance album. This album is certainly an album for all music lovers it would be a great asset to anyone's CD collection.
I have had this Sony CD player a couple of years now, ands it's never put a foot wrong. Unlike my old CD player I was able to move the speakers around with one which is so helpful when low on space
The CD player is predominantly plastic in a brushed aluminium style with a glass display. The speakers are mahogany and very light. The whole system seems fairly robust but I wouldn't like to knock it around for fear of it breaking. The surfaces don't seem to scratch easily from my experience of scraping it along a wall when pushing it into position which left no marks on the surface.
***** The CD player has:*****
Compact 2 line speakers
MP3 player plug in so you can listen to your mps player through the speakers 3.5mm
Compatible with variety of media codec's from mp3, wma and aac.
DSG Bass adjustment
3 mode equalizer presets
3.5mm headphone slot
This CD player is by far the best sound system I have ever had the pleasure of owning the sound quality is amazing it's clear and crisp with no hiss. The functions on the player are also great I love the fact I can plug in my mp3 player or laptop into via a 3.5mm to 3.5mm audio wire, meaning I don't need to get up to change CD I can relax on the sofa changing to virtually any song. The fact I can plug my laptop in means I can use the speakers to listening to Youtube videos, catch up services such as I-player and music.
I do have a few cassette tapes which I have played on the player they are a good sound quality, the one thing that lets it down is that the remote control does not work for the tape deck, but you can control everything to do with CD and radio with it.
This CD player is a complete bargain in my opinion for £80, its sound quality and features are really good, I don't think there is anymore I can ask of this system for its price, don't think I will be purchasing a new one anytime soon.
Hello there, I am Christopher, I'm 21 years of age, I am currently studying a Film and TV Production degree at University in Wycombe. I was born in Newcastle which is a city I love. When I finish my course I would like to get a job in the film industry as a director or producer, hopefully one day leading to me owning my own production company, I also wouldn't mind running my own hotel.
There are many things in which I enjoy doing and take an interest in,
------music - all genres apart from rap and hip hop, some favourites are Muse, System Of a Down, Rachiemonov. I am also learning to play guitar and piano.
-----Football - I used to play football 24/7 but nowadays I never really play anymore, but I still follow it from time to time
-----Formula one - I love formula one its probably my biggest interest I have been watching it since the mid 90's.
-----Reading - My favourite books are the Harry Potter series, Lord of the Rings, Fallen and Torment.
-----Films - I like all genre of films being a film student a few of my favourites include, Departed, Blood Diamond, Halloween, Terminator
-----Conspiracy theories, I love the idea of being presented with two sides of a story and making up my own mind about it.
I went through school in an ordinary fashion receiving 12 A - C in GCSE before moving onto A Level which I dropped out of before I did a diploma which allowed me to get into university. I am enjoying university it's a laugh. I am currently looking for work as I last had a job in the Autumn, I am planning to move into London with my beautiful girlfriend who means the world to me and love to bits. We have been going out for 5 awesome months and it just keeps getting better and better I am really looking forward to living with her.
Well that's a little bit about me, I probably update this from time to time hope you enjoyed reading it 
I bought this shower gel for £2.25 (225ml) due to its great cool blue appearance, and mint smell. The container is plastic and is really comfortable to hold, it has a plastic flip lid with a hole to squeeze out the gel. The product can be bought separately, or in a box with some deodorant. After using different types of Lynx deodorant before and found it less effective then others. I was curious to see how there shower gel performs.
The gel itself seems to have glitter in it, but don't worry you'll never notice it at all it seems to dissolves when you wash it into yourself. The gel has a very smooth texture, and feels nice when rubbing into your skin. Then gel creates plenty of lather so it does last a reasonable amount of time. The smell seemed really strong for me which am not all bad as it's quite noticeable for a while after you have showered, the smell lingers for a couple of hours before it starts to fade away..
I have found that it can burn your eyes if you apply it too close to your eyes or you use too much on your chest. The gel certainly cleans you that I can assure you, I am not a fan of using it on my hair due to gel burning my eyes with its strong smell. The gel did leave my skin feeling very refreshed and awake. I will continue to use this product until it runs out but I will not be in a rush to purchase it again.
Usually I go to my local hairdressers and get my hair shaved for £6 but after letting my hair get far too out of hand (I looked like I had a mop on my head) I asked my girlfriend for advice and she suggested that I should try getting it styled. After asking her what style she thought I should get, she gave me a picture of a cut that she liked, I really liked the style in which she thought I should try, so for a change I decided go somewhere with more of a reputation than my local, I chose Rush.
On my arrival I was greeted very enthusiastically by the receptionist, who very politely asked if he could help. After telling them that I wanted my hair styled (also showing him the picture which my girlfriend had given me) he took me to a booth where I was greeted with a handshake from my hair stylist. She explained what they were going to do which was, wash, shampoo, condition, blow dry, trim, shave the edges, thin, straighten and then use hair product. I couldn't help notice how clean and modern the salon looked. It had a black, silver and white colour scheme (High Wycombe branch).
I was taken over to the wash basins where I sat down in a rather comfy chair and tilted my head back into the sink. My hair was then washed thoroughly then dried to the point where it was still damp, this process took around 10 minutes and was rather enjoyable, and it was very relaxing.
I was taken back over to the booth where my stylist examined the picture which I had brought. I then put on an apron, and she began to trim my hair. I was brought over some magazines to read such as Men's Style and was offered a drink. The stylist was talkative which kept the atmosphere light hearted and relaxing. She moved on to shaving and trimming, I noticed she was doing it at a fairly fast pace, but very articulate and precise. I also noticed that she was smiling while she was working on my mop hair style, I realised this stylist had a passion for hair. It wasn't long before she was thinning my hair.
When she had finished thinning my hair, she disappeared for a dozen seconds and returned with a hairdryer to completely dry my hair. When my hair was completely dry she applied some protective cream before she began straightening my hair. This was the first ever time I had had my hair straightened, I felt really relaxed about it by this point due to how welcome I felt. When she had finished straightening she added some hair product and then used the hairdryer and blew the loose hair away, before offering me a cleansing towel to wipe my face and neck.
I was then taken back to the receptionist who gave me two 50% off vouchers to give a friend for their first visit, which if they used, would also entitle me to £20 off my next visit. I was also offered 15% off my next visit if it's within 6 weeks or 10% off if it's over 6 weeks. The receptionist took my details and I was charged £45 which is a lot more expensive then the £6 I am used to, but it looks and feels great and if I am honest an exact replica of the hair style in the picture I brought with me.
I was very pleased with my trip to Rush the service and end product was very professional and a very high quality. I think the price is a little steep, £30 would be a fairer price but none the less I would happily get my hair cut a Rush again. My girlfriend was very happy with the results also, which is another reason to continue to use Rush!
I have owned this headset for a couple of years and I am still using it today, I love the practicality of this headset, how easy it is to use, and it's very robust.
Ease of use---------------
The USB connectivity means there is no need to install just plug it in and the computer will automatically recognise it and set it as your default audio. Which you can change in audio settings if you wish. When you disconnect the headset the computer will automatically set the audio back to its default making things simple and hassle free.
It comes with an inline volume control which essentially allows you to change volume coming to the headphone by a dial on the wire of the headset rather then doing it on the computer once again making things simple. Next to the volume control there is a microphone mute button which you can use to turn off your microphone which I have never used personally, as I have never needed to mute my microphone. But the option is there if you want to use it.
My headphones on this headset are currently broken so I use separate headphones.
When they were working they gave an excellent quality of sound which was crystal clear unfortunately as with the majority of headphones I own end up with a break in the wire causing them to stop working.
The microphone quality is generally really good however it can distort crackle and cut out at times during sometimes I have used it mainly for skype, I can't say for certain whether this is the microphones fault, skypes or the internet connections but for the most part it is generally good.
The headset itself is very sturdy and will with stand being dropped easily the weakest part appears to be the wire that goes to the headphones but as there is only one wire to the headset which means the microphone uses the same wire. Must mean there is another problem which caused my headphones to break anyway back to durability. The headset can be bent to some extent with no damage. It is quite a robust headset and should last a considerable amount of time.
I am happy with this headset, well I should really call it a microphone now but it is a top quality headset when fully working, and headphones or no headphones this headset is keeping me in touch with the one I love.
Muse are my favourite band, there unique sound and fusion of many different musical genres has always set them apart from other bands. Listening through the other Muse albums in order you can see the progression of there music with each album sounding different, The Resistance album follows on from this tradition in great style, the music sounds bigger and less condensed then in some previous albums. There is a lot of focus on classical music in this album with 5 of the 11 tracks classically based. This album is a joy to listen to as it's so fresh and original; I will give a personal review to each song on the album and give my rating out of 5.
The bass intro to this is fantastic not as fantastic as the Hysteria bass intro but sounds awesome I admit it does sound a little similar to the Starlight bass intro but hey I don't mind. After a while we are greeted with a Sci-Fi synth before we get to the singing. After the first singing section we go back to the start bass line but this time the guitar kicks in and the song feels as though it's taken off. We then have the guitar solo which is good and repeats itself a few times before going back into the chorus then appears to end, but comes back on for a bit which I am not a big fan of. The live version has a far better ending in my opinion.
70's style springs to mind with this song its got the bass drums, the catchy little piano riff, some great lyrics, a deserving song for the album to be named after. My favourite part of this song is the pre chorus "could be wrong could be wrong" but it should have been right" It works well with Matt singing a line and then Chris. Muse certainly have a knack for creating great music.
UNDISCLOSED DESIRES 4/5
When you first hear this song you get the impression you're listening to a Timberland R&B track until Matt starts singing. I find this track very catchy with the string samples and rhythm of the music. There is no guitar or piano in this song which is a first, but it looses none of its Muse magic.
UNITED STATES OF EURASIA (+collateral damage) 5/5
Perhaps my favourite song from this album, at first it sounds quite dry and monotone, but it bursts into life with a rise in volume and into one of my favourite sections of music. A violin driven Asian influenced piece accompanied by the piano, the track all of a sudden is transformed into something fresh, alive and filled with so much energy. The Asian music stops and we go back to a fuller version of the start before once again leading to the classical Asian music. At the end of the Asian music this time we are greeted with a Bohemian Rhapsody style end Queen would be proud of before leading into collateral damage which is essentially a cover of Nocturnes, Op. 9 by Chopin.
GUIDING LIGHT 4/5
The intro to this song, screams stadium rock, in some respects the drum beat can be called a new "We Will Rock You" different of course it just has that vibe. This song sounds almost like opera in the way in which it is song. The bass line is very refreshing and holds together the piece perfectly. The guitar solo is amazing dare I reference Queen again. The end of it is slightly hidden as Matt starts singing over it but that's not exactly a bad thing.
UNATURAL SELECTION 4/5
Starting on a church organ at first I was wondering where this song was going but all of a sudden the guitar kicks in and a progressive riff (like the new born one but different) makes your mouth open and you cant help but nod your head to the beat.
There are parts of this song which remind me of System of a Down which is good for me I love System of a Down. The progressive riff is played through out the song and never loses its appeal. The guitar solo is good and breaks the song up nicely. The outro is epic it leads to a metal piece which ends the song nicely, although I have often thought it would make a good start to another song.
MK ULTRA 5/5
Its hard to find words to describe this song, It is very fast paced at the start with an awesome riff I can describe as trance music, which leads it to some fantastic vocals, the middle of the song slows down and you feel as though your waiting for something, then it kicks off and it goes to pure rock and role before returning to the second part of the song which include some fantastic vocals. The song ends on the rock and roll part, which as awesome as it is has lost some of its magic after it being used right after the slow part in the middle of the song.
I BELONG TO YOU (+Mon coeur s'ouvre à ta voix) 3/5
This song is probably my least favourite on the album; I enjoy listening to it none the less. The song was used in a Twilight film the 2nd one I think I'm not sure I don't like twilight. Anyways the song has a kind of has a jazz classical theme going on, it starts in a R&B style, first time I listened to I was like way hay this is catchy, all of sudden the song turns into French while a cover version of Samson and Delia is being played on piano, it then appears to end only for violins to come in and some singing then appears to end again before a new section with a wind instrument. I think this song is very creative but goes on a little to long for my liking.
EXOGENOSIS: SYMPHONY PART 1 (overture) 5/5
This is my favourite song on the album the slow orchestral intro slowly building up into a spine tingling orchestral piece before you know it drums are coming in and the vocals blow you away, moving is the right word. That is a nice sounding high pitched voice, a win for Matt lol. As we reach just over half way in the song the guitar kicks in and the vocals double up and it just sounds incredible.
EXOGENOSIS: SYMPHONY PART 2 (cross-pollination) 4/5
The second part of the Exogenesis Symphony starts and ends with a fantastic piano piece. It has to be said this is my least favourite part to the symphony I think it because it's the most rock based one apart from the intro and outro. After the intro it builds up into a drum driven piece with the orchestral music coming through before dying into the outro.
EXOGENOSIS: SYMPHONY PART 3 (redemption) 5/5
Relaxing and at peace comes to mind for this song a very moving piano piece leading to a nice vocal harmony consisting of the same few words before leading back to the piano piece doesn't sound too good, but I enjoy this track It makes me feel at ease a great way to end this incredible album.
This album is a joy to listen too, it is very different from other Muse albums but it's lost none of that uniqueness and originality. Muse have demonstrated they are sensational musicians there range of music is massive and I think this albums defines that. I recommend you give it a listen.
The braun vitality toothbrush is a great way of cleaning your teeth its way better then a standard toothbrush, I like it as it leaves your mouth feling fresh.
The toothbrush looks pretty cool two different shades of blue with white gives it a dental/clinical look. The toothbrush is really nice to hold where as the dark blue and white are plastic the lighter shade of blue is rubber which makes it very comfortable to hold and makes feel very secure to hold.
This toothbrush is great at cleaning your teeth after every brush my teeth feel smooth and shiney and after a while of using this toothbrush noticeably whiter.
The thing that annoys me is it takes 18 hours to charge but you will probably only get no more then 8mins full power.
This toothbrush is great for making your teeth feel great and look whiter after a while of using it.
This Seat was my very first car, and I loved it to bits, it was great fun to drive and it was very nippy and great for general travel.
When I first set my eyes on this car, It looked smart, stylish and sensible. The interior seemed okay, it wasn't the best looking interior ever but it was still fairly smart.
The material used for the seats has quite a nice feel to it, smooth with some texture. The seats are adjustable both sliding backwards and forwards and tilting the back of it. The gear stick feels nice to hold as does the steering wheel. The centre consol and dash feels as though it's made fairly cheaply. My model the cool/s only came with a tape deck and a CD player could not be installed (making me waste many hours making mix tapes). When you turn the headlights on your centre consol and speed dials glow a blood red colour which you can change the brightness of.
The air/con works really well you can set the temperature to how you want it. There is enough room in the back for tall people to fit there heads and legs.
The glove box isn't the biggest and if I'm honest there is not a great deal of storage space unless you count the floor. The boot is a good size and would easily fit a dog like a Labrador.
Oh You also get electric windows and power steering.
Driving this car is very fun it feels like a giant go-kart, the steering is very responsive as are the breaks and throttle pedal. It is very quick off the mark. There is hardly any roll in the corners with a stiff chassis. The gear changes are fairly smooth, and at times its hard to tell you even changed due to it being smooth. It can also be clunky in colder weather. The car rides the bumps well the suspension seems fairly soft and less hard then other cars I have been in.
I found the Seat a very comfortable car I could drive for hours and not have any back pains or discomfort, the car rides smoothly too which helps greatly. The ability to change you seat position helps also.
I would be a liar if I said I never once had a problem with my car. In general it's a great runner engine wise I have had no problems apart from in the winter when it wouldn't start.
My right front suspension collapsed once when I was driving, this apparently was damage that was caused before I bought it.
My centre console stopped working and it had to be replaced. I have heard this is a common problem.
Temperature gauge stopped working.
Being a male and this being my first car I was expecting a big amount to pay however the Seat Ibiza was cheapest insurance I could find for myself even though it was a 1.4 engine and a group 4 insurance I ended up paying just over £1400.
Petrol wise I was average around 36mpg
Tax was £140
This car is a great first buy I would recommend it to anyone, maybe look at a newer model If you can as Im sure seat would have made improvements. I would take this car back if the person I sold it to offered me it.
