      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A mediocre hand cream for a luxury price.

      ~The look of the product~

The product I have is a sample size, although from looking at the Boots website, it does look the same as the one shown. The tube is an Ivory White colour with the No. 7 logo in silver and "Protect & Perfect Hand Cream" The tube on the front also features the blurb, "Conditions and protects for younger looking hands. SPF 15. Hypo- allergenic" The back has the blurb, " Younger Longer. This quickly and easily absorbed moisturiser vanishes to reveal beautifully younger looking hands with fine lines appearing reduced in just 2 weeks. A little manicure every day...Smooth into hands every morning and any time they need a little extra care. I think the product would look stylish on the dressing table or on the bathroom shelf, however as most women I know like to carry their hand cream in their handbag, I have a feeling that this is more likely to get dirty and look a little grubby.

      ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

On the Boots website you can purchase a 75ml tube for £10.50 which is a rather extreme price for a hand cream, especially as the experience I had with the hand cream. Although a little of the product did go a long way, I would say an average use of 0.5ml per use which is around £0.07 per use (hopefully I am correct on my maths!).

      ~Personal experience~

Continuing from the price and value for money, I would say this is an extreme price for a standard mediocre hand cream, the product did not absorb fully as suggested on the tube. It did leave a strange film for around 10-15 minutes on my hand. It left my hand feeling smooth, however when I ran my fingers along the back of my hand it did seem to drag more than on my other hand (which I did not apply to the other hand) Of all the No.7 products I have tried so far, this is the one I have felt most let down by, as I expected so much more from it.

      ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The cream comes out in a white colour, only a little is needed for full coverage it becomes transparent when covered on the hands, it was rather runny. The smell of the product was a soapy smell, it wasn't an unpleasant smell, however I much prefer sweet/ fruity smells to a floral smell.

      ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 2/5 to me this is a fairly standard hand cream, nothing to write home about and certainly not a luxury product, as I would say the price would suggest. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Provides a blissful body wash.......which is funnily enough what the product is called

      ~The look of the product~

The product I have is in a peach/flesh colour, with a pearlescent lid, I have had numerous samples of their 25ml body wash from their No. 7 kits they release at Christmas. There is something about the No.7 products that provides a sophisticated feel surrounding them.

The front of the product features the No.7 logo at the top, the product name, " Blissful Body Wash" and that the product is Hypo- allergenic and 25ml. The back of the bottle states, " Turn your daily shower into a little bit of heaven. A little luxury, every day... Squeeze a small amount onto your hand or shower puff and work into a rich lather. Rinse away and gently pat skin dry. Rinse well after use." and then the usual gibberish about avoiding contact with eyes etc.

Looking on the boots website the 200ml bottle looks different, as it has a deeper more pearlised cerise colour from the photo shown. My boyfriend has mentioned a possible reason why I am not so fond of the peach/ flesh colour, he has suggested it looks like 'old people' baggy stockings, I presume he means the American Tan tights!!

      ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

According to the Boots website a 200ml bottle costs £9.50, from using the 25ml sample, I generally feel to get a really good 'clean' one where you feel as though you are going to smell fresh for the rest of the day, I would use around 10ml that is using my hand rather than a shower puff, I would think that you would a little less than this. By my calculations a 200ml bottle would last around 20 washes which works to be around £0.48 per wash, which to me does sound like a really pricey body wash, however as a treat I believe it is worth the money.

      ~Personal experience~

I have had numerous sample sized bottles of this lying around for some time, however I decided enough was enough and I am not buying new toiletries until I have finished the ones I have (unless I am bought new products which is always a bonus). I was rather dubious about whether this would live up to being a blissful body wash, however I was very surprised as it came out like a cream and it instantly made me feel a little bit special, which was just what I wanted before a full day at work. It did lather up rather well, however next time I use it I will use a body puff as I think this may add to the 'experience'.

      ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

As mentioned above the product is a creamy texture with a snow drift white colour. The product has a soapy smell, but not an overpoweringly strong smell. When using the product it has left me feeling fresh throughout the day, my skin does feel smooth even after doing a full day of manual work.

      ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 5/5 it provides a luxurious shower, which not many shower gels offer to do, this is more of a bath cream claim. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

I will give this product the 'Benefit' of the doubt

        ~The look of the product~

The product (like most, attracted my eye because it has pink on it! I love the colour pink in case you didn't know) I got the special 2 pack of miniatures so will be reviewing each one individually. The Benetint rose-tinted lip and cheek stain comes in a little cardboard tube at 4.0ml the packaging is fairly basic it does give you a little information on how to apply, "Brush three strokes on the apples of your cheeks & blend quickly with fingertip. Apply on lips & blend. For a deeper "pop" of color, repeat" The actual product packaging is not the most fancy of the three, it is a hard plastic bottle (so cute as it is tiny) with a white twist off lid with a small application brush on the inside of the lid. The bottle is clear, but when full it is the deep red colour of the product. Again the information is relatively simple with the basic information on, " rose tinted lip & cheek stain"

        ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

As these products where bought in a three pack for £7.99 average for each product is £2.66 (approx) I bought these at Christmas and I would say I have used half a ml of using three dots on each cheek about 10 times, so each use of this product is around £0.03 (very rough guess) which is good value for money even if you just use it as lip stain- as you will see below this is not so good as a cheek stain unless you are very good at application.

        ~Personal experience~

The first time I used this, I did look like I had the measles and had flushed cheeks, as I was unsure of the application of the product. You do have to be super speedy at applying the product otherwise you can be left with three dots on your cheek no matter how much you blend. Also it did take a few applications to see that three dots was a little to much so if I use it, I apply 2 sparing dots to the cheek and then super quickly blend in. Out of the two check stains I would say the Posietint is the better one for my skin tone as this one is a little to dark for me. Application on the lips is fairly easy, again don't over apply, I think a dab on the bottom lip then quickly blend on both the bottom and top lip, the tint then dries so a little clear gloss or vaseline will make it look as though you have a coloured lip gloss on. I would rate this as an average lip tint and a mediocre cheek tint in terms of the colour as well as the difficult application. The product in terms of lasting, on the lips it does wear off after about 2 hours, when on the cheeks it does last a little longer, around 4 hours.

        ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of the product is a cross between fresh roses and them little Parma Violet sweets you can buy, so personally I love the smell of this product, some may find it off putting. The product is a very runny liquid compared to the Posietint which is thicker. Upon application to the skin, it does not feel very luxurious and doesn't alter the softness of your skin. Be careful though when applying the product as you don't want the product to drip and stain your clothes.

        ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 3/5 as if you was to properly apply this product to the correct skin tone I think it would be a relatively good cheek tint. With regards to it being a lip tint it is a very good lip tint, lasting a fair amount of time. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          A miracle in a stick

          ~The look of the product~

The 10g Blemish Stick is a little pocket/handbag sized product. The container is a sky blue colour with "Witch naturally clear" "Blemish Stick" written on the front. As the product is rounded the side/back of the product there is more information, "Witch Blemish Stick helps to break down excess oils and fights the bacteria that cause spots. The directions are described as, "Dab on as often as required when blemishes first appear." It also carries on to describe the best use, "Great for all skin types but especially oily/combination skin. As with all skincare products use with caution on sensitive skin" The only concern is that there is no ingredients list on the product but from memory it is on the box it comes in.

          ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

A 10g container is approx £2.25 per container, now to work out the price per cost is difficult really. However I use it everyday and it has lasted me since December 2011, so is very good value for money. Now you may question why I would use it everyday if it is a good product, well I have slight spot paranoia so I always like to prevent rather than cure, I apply it to the chin, tip of nose and in-between the eyebrows. So using it everyday on three areas is good value for money.

          ~Personal experience~

As I have explained quite a lot about how I use the product above, this will only be small to explain whether it works. Overall after using this product for around 2 years, I swear by this product so much so that I cannot be without the product, especially when I get time of the month breakout there is no more tears about breakout. It is easy to apply, take the cap off and the push the product stick up and dab or circle the product on and then let it dry before putting moisturiser on.

          ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of this product is quite a strong tea tree/alcohol smell but it does not smell whilst on the skin. The product does hold it's own as a stick but once on the skin it because a slight liquid which then dries into the skin. It is easy to apply and sinks into the skin within a minute.

          ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 5/5 as it really does work, it applies easily and it easy to carry around, not a long review but there isn't much to say about this product as it's great. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

With a subtle smell lasting for 12 hours.

          ~The look of the product~

The product is quite heavy for a deodorant so I would say it is not something you would be able to carry around in your handbag. I must admit I was rather attracted to the bottle because it looks so girly and pinky pearl colour. On the front the product claims that it lasts for 48 hours, contains pearl extracts with 0% alcohol and provides beautiful arms. On the back there is one of the peel off labels which provides further information on the product (not very easy to see if you are choosing to purchase in a shop based on the information on the container) "With precious Peal Extracts for soft, beautiful underarms. 48 hour confidence, anti-perspirant protection. Alcohol free, no colourants, dermatologically approved." So overall the product does look beautiful and girly, but the weight of the bottle does put me off slightly as being practical.

          ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

A 50ml container of Pearl and Beauty Deodorant (Roll on) costs around £2.10 and deodorant is a tricky one to estimate how much you use each time, so this is a really approximate guess 1/2ml (half a ml) per use (3 rolls on each armpit) so per use that is £0.02 per use which I would say is good value for money for a standard deodorant. I would be willing to pay a little more if the product was to last for the 48 hours that it claims, please read below for my full personal experience.

          ~Personal experience~

As explained above, I do not feel as though the product lasts for the 48 hours it claims, really I feel as though I am comfortably protected for 12 hours without feeling as though I need to apply more. I enjoy using the product as it does provide a fresh scent, but I do not understand how it provides beautiful arms, I have not noticed any change from the first use or after repeated use. However I do have to say it has left my armpits feeling smoother/softer and it is a nice product to use for first application of deodorant after shaving. Again to reiterate it is not very practical to carry around which is a slight let down, as it does need application again after around 12 hours. The bottle is an easy to apply standard roll on application and it does not get jammed like some other roll on deodorants do.

          ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of this product is a flowery scent but when smelling on the lid it is fairly overpowering, however once applied it is a gently fresh smell, which you are able to smell through clothing and it does provide some confidence that you are not smelling. The feel of the product is a soft luxurious feel, and the look of the product is a pearl colour, but is clear upon application.

          ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 3/5 as it looks good and smells good. I would rate this product as more if it lived up to the claim of lasting 48 hours rather than the 12 I feel it lasts comfortably for. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

            Great Product

            ~The look of the product~

The pack I have is different from advertised as above, my packet is Hedex Extra 16 Tablets and is in a red packet. The front of the packet helps to define what the product is for, "Paracetamol + Caffeine, Extra relief for headaches- fast" Simple but explaining what the product is for. The back of the packet contains the vital info explaining how the product helps with the pain of headaches, migraines, backache, rheumatic and muscle pain, toothache, period pain, fever, sore throats and aches and pains of colds and flu. Directions for taking are also there, adults should take 2 with water every 4 hours as required, do not take more than 8 in 24 hours or give to children under 12. The ingredients are, 500mg paracetamol and Caffeine 65mg with potassium sorbate ad brilliant blue (this blue is used for writing on the tablets) There is also the usual medical warnings, it is clear and understandable to read.

            ~The price~Value for money~ and ~Personal experience~

I first bought these in an emergency from Sainsburys as I had a killer headache and needed some relief for uni, they cost £2.04 for a pack of 16 which equates to £0.13 per tablet when used I take two and there is instant relief for the remainder of the day so £0.26 for instant relief of a headache to carry on with the remainder of the day is great value- I have never had to take more than two to cure a headache/migraine.

            ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 5/5 as they are great value for money and cure a headache within minutes .Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind. Advantages

              Disadvantages

Radiance boosting and moisturising..............I think not!

              ~The look of the product~

The product is quite heavy (and I know, I dropped the damned thing on my foot!) It has a pearlised pink screw top lid, the container is circular and is a softer pink, it has the blue Nivea Visage logo on, the look of the front is simple with, "Natural beauty. Radiance boosting moisturiser" The back of the container is similarly simple with the website address (www.NIVEA.com) and that it was made in Poland and will last for 12months once opened and that it is a 50ml container. This is relatively simple however the ingredients and directions of application I think were on the box that it came in, however I do not have the box any more and it is a little silly for the container to not have the ingredients list on.

              ~The price~ and ~Value for money~ and ~Personal experience~

A 50ml container of Radiance Boosting Moisturiser is £6.63 from Boots, looking around it seems that most highstreet shops are selling for a similar price. So here is where is gets interesting, I normally write the value for money and personal experience separately but I felt it was essential to include them together. To give you a breakdown of cost I need to tell you of my experience, using this moisturiser I felt for a proper moisturise that 5ml would be used on the face (this is for a proper feeling of full coverage and moisturising) this breaks down to £0.66 per usage which is relatively expensive I feel compared to other moisturiser that work properly, however I feel as though applying this amount did provide a somewhat good moisturisation it did heavily apply too much of a pearlised look on the face, although the shimmery look did fade upon applying foundation, if you do not apply foundation I would not use this. If you are just looking for a radiance boost without the moisturising quality I would apply around 2ml to the face, this gives an even coverage to the face, but again to highlight it will not give moisturisation at all. This will give a cost of £0.27 which for radiant look is good, but for a product which claims to moisturise and boost radiance, I would say this product is not good value for money.

              ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of this product is a flowery scent with a hidden undertone of pears, it is a pleasant smell which when on the skin is a very light smell. The look it a soft peach colour and is pearlised. The feel is very soft and quickly sinks into the skin, as looked at earlier, a fairly large amount is needed to moisturise properly even so I feel as though the skin does not feel as smooth and plump as other moisturisers do so.

              ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 1/5 as it looks good, smells good but for me without looking a little silly it does not provide a full moisturisation. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind. Does what it says on the tin

                ~The look of the product~

The Batiste Fresh Dry Shampoo is a new product from Batiste, the can has the new logo on it the can is sky blue with a aqua lid. It features a 'swirly' pattern with, "New. Batiste Fresh Dry Shampoo, refreshes hair between washes" also the volume of the can "150ml 5.05 fl.oz net wt 90g" The back of the can looks as though it contains lots of information but it is written in a variety of languages, the information it contains is, "Batiste Fresh dry shampoo, with a tantalising forest-fresh fragrance. For you. For him. Revitalises greasy, dull and lifeless hair between washes. Instantly leaves hair feeling clean, full of body and smell fabulous. Quick and convenient to use wherever you are. Directions: Shake can vigorously before use and in-between sprays. Hold can approximately 30cm from hair and spray lightly, giving even coverage. Use fingertips to massage through hair and leave for a few moments. Brush product out, preferably using a soft brush" It then goes on to describe the dangers of the can and its contents such as protect from sunlight and high temperatures, avoid contact with eyes and keep away from children. It is also flammable and you are not to misuse the product (i.e sniff it for kicks!!) The can is an aerosol spray so allows for even coverage.

                ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

This product is very good value for money for those who have very little time to wash every couple of days (yes some may call that minging......I call it being too busy) The product can be bought from Boots for £2.35 or from Tesco £2.00. For a full head of clean hair I would say a usage of 30ml would be enough (as it is generally the roots that are sprayed) meaning an average cost of £0.47 (based on the higher priced Boots cost) Although if you are really skint a sneaky tip is that if you have a little more time, the usage of Talcum powder is also similar to this product but does require extra time...... *apply the talcum powder loosely to the roots, then massage in, using a flat paddle brush brush the hair side to side rather than straight down the hair, this creates a volumised look and also gets rid of the extra product, some times it does take longer as you may need to apply a hairdryer to the hair to 'blow' the remaining talc out*

                ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of this product is not as described "Forest-fresh"- which is good in theory I mean who wants to smell like the tree shaped car air-fresheners?! It does have a smell but I would say it is more of a fresh air smell (like when clothes have been out to dry on the washing line) The look of the product when applied is white which if rubbed in and brushed out correctly will not be noticeable. The feel of the product is much like a grainy talcum powder but in thicker form. Once brushed out the product cannot be felt and makes the hair feel less limp and more umph!!!

                ~Personal experience~

I love this product and have been using the original one for many years. I generally use this during the week days as sometimes its nice for hair to feel fresh. The smell is noticeable when spray and is not overpowering on the hair. When using the product I spray it all over the roots, let it settle whilst I put it back in the cupboard then rub into the roots, then using a flat paddle brush (as said earlier) move the brush on the roots side to side........giving me volumised and clean looking hair. (Please note this is only how I do it but I am sure others may say oh no this will damage your hair...but my hair is perfect(ly) fine!!

                ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 5/5 as it looks good, smells good and does what is says on the tin!!!.Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

A big let down from Dove

                  ~The look of the product~

This 50ml bottle differs from the one shown, it now has a more modern look. Much like the newer ones, the lid is the bottom of the product and is an transparent navy blue colour, the remainder of the bottle is white. The front of the bottle features the blue Dove label with the gold dove underneath, on the front is the description, " Original. Anti-Perspirant deodorant. 0% Alcohol, 24h (as in 24 hour lasting) and the tear-drop with 1/4 (1/4 moisturisation) The back of the product features the pull up labels, the underneath contains the contact details and also the information, "Do not apply to broken or irritated skin. Stop using if irritation occurs." The top of the label features a diagram on how to unscrew the lid?! That the product lasts for 24 months after opening and also the ingredients, "Aqua, Aluminum Chlorohydrate, Gelycerin, Helianthus Annus Seed Oil, Steareth-2, Parfum, Steareth-20, Citric Acid, Pottasium Lactate, Alpha-Isomethyl Ionone, Benzyl Alcohol, Benzyl Benzoate, Benzyl Salicylate, Butylphenyl Methylpropional, Citronellol, Geraniol, Hexyl Cinnamal, Hydroxycitronellal, Limonene, Linalool." A lot of not very nice sounding ingredients/chemicals. This very simple design and information on the bottle, it does not explain the labelling that is featured on the front.

                  ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

Currently a 50ml bottle costs £1.90 from Boots (however I bought this in an emergency and it cost near £2.93!!!) A rough usage is 2ml for both arms which is around £0.08 which is good value for money for a deodorant........that's if it works (see personal experience)

                  ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

I bought this product during an emergency when I forgot mine, I normally hate the smell of Dove as it reminds me of pot-pourri so the smell is not one that I can recommend. The look of the product is clear upon applying to the skin, the feel of the product is fairly thick and feels heavy upon the skin. It does not feel as though it is thick as in moisturising, but just heavy as in laden with skin filming products.

                  ~Personal experience~

My personal experience with product is not one that I wish to repeat, first of all I find the smell very over powering, even when the lid is on and the product has not been applied I find the smell is still over powering. The deodorant is easier to apply with the roll on ball and did not get 'stuck' like some do. The product did feel heavy on the skin and I felt very little moisturising properties at all. The deodorant did not feel as though it was protecting me from the elements of perspiration of normal everyday life, I can assure that it did not last the full 24 hours of protection and this was very disappointing for the price they pay. I felt that the product did let the Dove branding down, the claims remained to be untrue and the smell is too overpowering and may clash with some perfumes

                  ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 1/5 as it looks good, but smells horrible and doesn't really protect well. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

                    Disadvantages

Lovely smell, nourishing and great value for money

~The look of the product~ (this review may be much like my review of the shampoo I reviewed earlier)

This 400ml bottle is an opaque bottle where you can see through to the pastel blue colour, I find that most alberto balsam products do tend to look fairly cheap so have often been put off from buying them. Anyway..........The front of the product shows the many claims of the shampoo such as, "New" "anti-oxidant" "conditioner with blueberry & ginseng extracts" and "extra nourishment for coloured or damaged hair" The back of the bottle is fairly modern compared to the front of the bottle, with its modern font and layout and continues to explain the benefits of the product, "Blueberry, the 'superfruit' packed full of anti- oxidants is now great for your hair too. Perfect for when your hair needs a bot of extra nourishment, this blueberry & ginseng conditioner deeply conditions to protect and restore shine, leaving your hair looking and feeling fabulous! It uses most of the ingredients you'll find in higher priced brands but at an affordable price which means you can look great every day!" "Hair smells as good as it feels. Deeply conditions & protects. Replenishes lost moisture and adds shine. Strengthens with pro-vitamin B5" Then it continues with the directions of usage, " After you've shampooed, use a good size dollop of conditioner. We find it works best to leave it on for 1-2 minutes Rinse hair thoroughly. Ta-da, fabulously soft, shiny hair . Try not to get any in your eyes but if you do, rinse thoroughly with clean water." The lid is a black flip lid to reveal the hole where you squeeze the shampoo into the palm of your hand. The bottle does contain a lot of information and claims however do they live up to the claims?............

                    ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

The product for 400ml costs a fabulous £1.00 (in most retail environments) so having just tested a full coverage on medium to long hair approx 45ml will be used at a price per usage of £0.11 which is great value for money. For lovely soft hair, I can personally recommend that you apply the conditioner after shampooing, wrap hair in cling film them wrap towel round the hair (within the cling film) leave on for a approx 30mins (you can wrap hair in a towel that has been in the tumble drier as well for a full boost) It leaves hair feeling fabulously soft.

                    ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The bottle claims that hair will be left with a blueberry smell, so the product should smell of blueberries in the bottle.....right? Yes they are right I love the smell of this product, even though due to money saving I have watered this product down to get more usage out, the smell is still prominent. Before watering down the product it was fairly thick which was great for me as I was wanting to save money by watering down the product. The feel is really thick still and feels luxurious within the hand before adding to the hair. The conditioner was a lot thicker than most so I find it best for the pocket and usage to water down the product a little.

                    ~Personal experience~

Personal experience with this product is one of greatness, as I cannot find a fault with this product. It leaves the hair feeling soft and nourished both without using the cling film and towel, the hair is left with a lovely blueberry/fruity smell which you get a lovely scent of every so often.

                    ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as 5/5 as it is a fantastic smelling product that really does nourish and moisturise the hair .Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

The product for 400ml costs a fabulous £1.00 (in most retail environments) so having just tested a full deep cleanse of medium to long hair is approx 20ml (due to it creating a good lather) so per usage £0.05 which is good value for money even if you use it to clean your bath with (money saving for a house means I shall try anything- however this product is one I recommend) In my experience this product is fantastic value for money. If you water the product down like I do, then price per usage will be approx 2.7pence per use!!!!

Personal experience with this product is one of greatness, as I cannot find a fault with this product. It lathers up fantastically and cleanses the hair of the (many) products that I use. I have used many of the expensive shampoos (thank god for having a business where I have to product test) and I find this beats them hands down. I cannot speak highly enough of this product without bordering on the edge of sounding like a rep for alberto balsam.

                      Disadvantages

Not the best even for the low price

                      ~The look of the product~

This can of hair spray is not very eye-catching, it is a relatively large/tall can with modern font "hairspray" and Boots logo at the top and maximum hold unperfumed. It has a large clear aerosol lid/spray, it is technically not a lid it has large finger groove for access to spray. I like the metallic colour of the bottle, however it still like very much like a value brand, simple and looks as though it won't work very well. The guidance on the back is also very simple, "Shake can well before use, hold can upright 25-30cms from hair. Spray evenly over finished hair." The can then also goes on and on and on about the warnings which are quite scary.

                      ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

The price of a 450ml can is £1.62 which is a very good price for a hairspray. Having just sprayed it on to my hand to test how much usage on hair just passed the shoulders pinned up, for a full coverage of hair around 25ml would be used which is a usage price of £0.09 which is good value for money, however I do not feel as though it is good value for money for a product which has a better usage (I shall reveal all in my personal experience.

                      ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of the product does live up to its claim of being unperfumed, if you were to smell the product up close you will smell the chemicals (but really who smells their own hair?!) The look of the product is clear and sprays out in an even area coverage. The feel of the product shall be talked about in the personal experience.

                      ~Personal experience~

I am not a huge fan of hairspray as I only ever tend to use it on special occasions or when my hair is in a bun. Having tested this out again for the purposes of this review I remember why it has been hidden in the back of my cupboard. The hair spray left my hair feeling dry and 'crunchy' to the touch. I felt it didn't hold to much and the fly-aways looked as though they were greased down rather than smoothed out by the spray. However this hairspray does have one advantage......when writing up uni notes on my netbook the pen I was using to write in my diary and leaked :( then transferred onto my netbook. This was quickly solved with a little spray on a cotton wool ball then onto the ink and ta da.........the ink disappears!!!

                      ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as a 2/5 as it leaves the hair sticky and crispy at the same time but it does have its uses (as in removing ink from laptops/netbooks etc) .Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

                      Advantages

                      Disadvantages

                      Mist me in this forever

                      ~The look of the product~

The bottle is fairly attractive and fit for any woman's boudoir, it is a pearlised cream bottle with a pump action spray dispenser. On the front it is fairly minimalistic, "Soap & Glory Girligo" "Spray- on body moisturising mist" "100ml 3.4 US Fl.Oz" This does not give much away as to how the product will benefit the consumer, however when looking at the back of the product it is clear of the benefits, "Do your own flirty work: Spritz Girligo on all -over post shower for tempting fragrant, softer, smoother, more supple skin" It also lists the 28 ingredients of this product, it is also surprising some of the chemicals sound nice such as, "Water, Cocoa seed butter and Shea butter" However the rest sound very chemically and not luxurious. I do like the quirky warning on the back though, "Girligo was safety tested in the UK on so many women, it could make your head spin" I like the look of the product and would say that it is fairly attractive to the eye.

                      ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

This product came in a gift set for Christmas, however research has led me to understand that many sellers on Ebay sell the item for around £4.00 I would say that £2.00 of this is postage, so a guide price of around £2.00 for the bottle. For a full body mist I would say that 15ml of the product would suffice being an average cost of £0.30 per use. Value for money I would say that this product is excellent value for money.

                      ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of this product is one of tropical fruits and floral mixed together (as always I would like to note that I am not very good at describing smells so please take this as a rough guide) The look of the mist once sprayed is a white watery consistency and colour, once rubbed in the product does sink into the skin clear. The feel of the product is watery, however once the product has sunk into the skin, it leaves a lovely moisturised texture.

                      ~Personal experience~

I love this product, I have never used a body mist before (even though there are others on the market) I use this product after having a shower or bath, I dry off first before spritzing on, it does need to be rubbed in if you want to get dressed soon after, however I apply and then roam free of clothing (nicer words for walk round starkers!!!). The product leaves my skin feeling so nourished and moisturised, it also leaves the lovely fragrance on the skin for hours after,

                      ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as a 5/5 it leaves the skin nourished and leaves a lovely smell on the skin, could be great for when camping as an alternative to river washes. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

                      Disadvantages

                      Expense is not worthwhile

                      ~The look of the product~

This 75ml bottle is typical of Soap & Glory with its transparent bottle and retro logo on the front. The claims on the front are, "Creamy Clarifying Shower Gel" "Apply a handful to damp skin, rub it into a thick, luxurious lather, and then rinse thoroughly" On the back the claims continue, "Yes, you can have it all. Soft, smooth sexy skin whenever you want it, just...clean on me" Then the list of 41 ingredients begins, not a lot of natural extracts in fact there only seems to be one extract which is Mandarin orange peel extract. Once opened the product will last you 24 months (well can last you 24 months) Overall this product I would say is only eye-catching to those who know of Soap & Glory or those who are a fan of kitsch/retro looking products.

                      ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

For a 75ml bottle of 'Clean on me' the price is £2.35 from Boots (although you can buy it elsewhere on line, however if buying on Ebay don't be seduced by the low purchase price as you may find after postage you have not got the bargain as thought......Booo hiss from the sellers on Ebay however this is just a small note for those who are not confident on Ebay and Doo Yoo is about helping others) Ok so back to the review of the product, each use of 'Clean on me' will roughly use 20ml of product at a cost of £0.63 per use!!! Which I find is very costly considering my experience with the product.

                      ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

This smell is one that I really enjoy, I love the smell of sweet products however sometimes Soap & Glory do not provide me with that sweet smell that I crave. However you can really smell the sweetness of the orange in this product. The look is a pearly cream colour which you can see through the transparent bottle and remains that colour when applying to the skin. The texture of the product is creamy yet a thin consistency.

                      ~Personal experience~

I enjoyed using this product as I found it lathered up fairly quickly and thickly, with only a 1/4 of the bottle being used. I found the smell was there on application however it only lasted roughly an hour on the skin which I find disappointing for such a nice smell. Looking back at the value for money I would say it is fairly expensive for a product which many other shower gels do the same job for a much cheaper price. I would not buy this again if I was looking for a long lasting smelling product, however it does look great on the bathroom shelf.

                      ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as a 3/5 as it is fairly expensive for such a little bottle which does not leave a smell for the rest of the day. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.

                      Advantages

                      Disadvantages

Hand Food defiantly for the shopping list

                      ~The look of the product~

The product is pretty similar to all the other Soap & Glory a pastel pink colour with their recognisable retro looking labelling. The product is in a squeezable tube where the lid flips down and then you pressure the cream out (this is very good as the hole is small so you do not extract too much product from the tube. On the front is the following, " The most astonishing hand cream ever? You decide." "Hand Food" "non- greasy hand cream with shea butter , macadamia oil and marshmallow" "Soap & Glory original formula. Fabulous" "Soap & Glory" Although this does seem like overkill on the screen on the bottle is does look minimalistic, it gives the essential information on the front of the bottle. Turning over to the back is further information, "Mend a hand" "Apply Hand Food Hand Cream as often as you want to soften, smooth and soothe dry, chapped, or otherwise hampered hands." "Warning: Please don't use this hand cream on irritated or damaged skin, and try to avoid it in your eyes" It then goes on to list 38 ingredients of chemicals and extracts.

                      ~The price~ and ~Value for money~

For a 50ml tube of Hand Food it is £2.35 from Boots (or many other retail units) For a nice smooth coverage on both hands I would recommend a usage of 5ml which equates to a £0.24 per usage. Compared to other hand creams this does seem a costly one, however after trying out the product I would say it is good value for money as the product does nourish the skin extreamly well.

                      ~The smell~and~the look/feel of product~

The smell of the product is quite 'household air freshener smell" Although once it has been applied to the skin it seems to turn into a lovely scent of tropical and coconut almost cocktail like smell. The product is a crisp white colour which then once rubbed in you cannot see. It looks a creamy consistency however when applying it the product turns into a lovely oily moisturising cream.

                      ~Personal experience~

I only tend to use a hand cream after applying acrylic nails, however I have this on my desk and apply it throughout the day, more as a habit rather than the need as it does keep the hands nourished for quite a number of hours. The smell of the product does mellow out once applied and then every so often you do get a lovely whiff of the cream. I would say this is an essential product throughout the year and would recommend this to anyone.

                      ~Final notes~

I would rate this product as a 5/5 as I feel it works well, however as always please Soap & Glory create a range of super sweet smelling products. Please feel free to comment on anything you wish to know about the product but which I have not put in this review, I have tried to write about everything I would wish to know but a few things may have escaped my mind.
