      Advantages

      • Reliability

      Disadvantages

A good budget CD player, I would recommend.

      About The Product

The Sony CDX GT23 is a car CD player, the dimensions are 5 x 17.8 x 17.9 cm and it weighs 1.5kg. It is black with some red buttons. Unit will light up red when turned on (perfect for red cars).

      My Opinions & Experiences

I bought this nearly four years ago for my old car and had no problems with it whatsoever, it was at the time even one of the cheaper models but it suited my budget and basic requirement of just playing CD's in the car.

I have fitted many in car CD players in the past for family and friends so I personally found it very easy to fit, if you have never done it before or have one of those cars that makes it fiddly then I'm sure Halfords do fitting or find someone you know to do it for you properly. I still had the old cage from my previous CD player so it fitted very quickly and powered on just fine.

Like most CD players it has the removable face, sometimes can be a bit annoying and like many people I have times where I just leave it in but I would recommend removing it every time. A friend of mine recently had his car broken into and with the face still on it was easy money to the petty thief.

When I purchased it a manual was included, this details all the features and functionality making it easy for you to get the right settings needed. If you have bought it second hand without the manual then fear not as I know the Sony website has them available to download, just search "Sony CDX GT23 manual" or similar and you should find the right page quickly. Like most appliances the best way to get used to and learn how to use something is to use it, so after a bit of playing around you should have the basics at least under control.

One of the nice things about the player is that the little screen at the front will display radio station or CD track information like artist name etc. Obviously if you have made the CD yourself you will need to input this information when creating the CD.

My fiancée has in the past linked her iphone to the CD player, so if you have one that is an obvious bonus as you can play your music stored on the iphone through the player.

I haven't linked it up to an AMP but you can do this, without it though the sound is fantastic and doesn't easily vibrate unless playing at ridiculous volumes.

      In Summary

In summary it is a good budget CD player, has good sound and looks nice, the fitting is simpler enough and finding the right settings for you shouldn't take long.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A quick, reliable, well priced service, I would recommend

      About The Product/Service

Funky Pigeon is a brand owned by W H Smith, they have become one of the huge players in the personalised cards market. As well as personalised cards the website offers gifts, posters, flowers, notebooks, calendars and more.

      My Opinions & Experiences

I'm not entirely sure why I first chose to shop at the Funky Pigeon online store as opposed to one of its competitors but I'm glad I did. I can't really compare the service to the others because I have only used Funky Pigeon and have been impressed each time.

I find using their menu to find the right card very simple, you can browse by person, occasion or card brand (me to you e.t.c.). They often have a large range of card designs for anything I have required, you simply find a design you like whether it be a photo card or not and amend the text on the front of the card and write your own message inside. You have plenty of flexibility on most cards, some however will allow you to do more than others.

I have often used the photo cards whereby you can upload a photo to be used on the front of the card, some cards allow for multiple photos to be uploaded. There are often different fonts and colours to be used allowing you to manipulate the basic card as you wish and add your own bit of creativity.

One of the benefits about signing up to Funky Pigeon is the reward scheme, if you refer a friend you can get £3 credit for every friend that signs up using your code. Your friends will also get 50% of their first purchase.

I haven't used the prepay option but this allows you to upload a prepaid balance to your Funky Pigeon account, they will also give you free bonus credit (the value of which depends on upon your prepaid amount), for instance prepaying £20 will get you £5 credit free.

As well as the vast range of card options and customisation features one of the best parts of Funky Pigeon for me is the delivery speed. Often delivery is free depending on amount of cards purchased and depending on the time of your purchase the cards could be through your door the very next day, apart from around Christmas I have always had mine within 48 hours.

One tip I would give is to do a search for "funky pigeon discount code", they often have codes allowing for discounts, many times I have had 50% off or similar, it's well worth a quick search.

Prices are very reasonable even without discounts, the common A5 card size being £2.99.

Only negative experience I have had with the service came this Christmas, I used two photos for two cards and although they were night time shots the surroundings were lit up, on my computer and camera the photos were clear and bright enough. Unfortunately when the cards arrived the colour was very dim, much darker than the photos I had uploaded. Just keep this in mind when using night shots.

      In Summary

A good online card customisation service, cheap and hassle free, I would recommend to anyone.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

It may not make you a millionaire but some ideas will help you and your business/work life, enjoy it

        About The Product

The 4 Hour Work Week is a self help book written by Timothy Ferris in 2007, it has sold more than 1,350,000 copies and has been on the New York Times Best Seller List for more than four years.

Can't describe the look of the book as I do not own a physical copy but have read it on my kindle.

        My Opinions & Experiences

The title "The 4-Hour Work Week" and sub title "Escape The 9-5, Live Anywhere And Join The New Rich" are very catchy and this no doubt has aided book sales, however it was very hard for me to take the title in particular with little more than a pinch of salt upon downloading the book.

I have read a number of self help books in the past varying on topics including interview techniques, marketing, online business, language and more. I enjoy reading but usually can only read so much of these self help titles before getting a little confused with mixed messages from other sources I have read or simply being bored. I can say that the 4 hour work week was very different in that I enjoyed the read, often saying to myself "that's a great idea", "I must do that" and read it from start to finish in the space of four days funnily enough.

I was sceptical at the start and to a degree still am, Tim seems to do a fair bit of blogging and advertising of his books/products which I feel makes the title a little misleading, although like me I doubt many people purchase it feeling it is truly possible. At the end of the book I feel as though if you did take everything from it to the absolute extreme it could be possible but you would require a fair bit of capital to begin with.

I'm a small business owner and so my inspiration for reading the book was to find new ideas in which I could grow the business and help with income streams and managing my time more efficiently.

The book provides some fantastic information about how to make your time ten times as productive which in essence is an indication as to why the book was named so, I find it hard to believe many will achieve a 4 hour work week but if you don't take it literally you could easily free up time by spending the time you do work far more productively and it is this that thrilled me the most when reading.

The book reads like Tim is giving you a lecture, excitedly telling his story, from work slave past to living a much more enriched life while making more than he ever did previously. There are sections where you need to answer questions, small stories from people who Tim has helped, there are little tasks that you should try to implement and there is a good amount of ideas that will provide you with motivation, inspiration and a new desire to have the life you want.

        In Summary

To summarise if you don't take the title too literally and open your mind to some of the ideas Tim proposes then you could easily find some inspiration with which to improve your life.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A good smooth whiskey which goes well with mixers

        About The Product

Jack Daniel's No.7 is a brand of sour mash Tennessee whiskey, known by millions for its black label and square bottle it is the worlds favourite American whiskey. It is produced by the Jack Daniel distillery based in Lynchburg, Tennessee and is the United State's oldest registered distillery.

        My Opinions & Experiences

I'm not a whiskey expert but I do like the occasional glass, I have been a casual whiskey drinker for around ten years since I first had a Jack Daniel's and coke in a nightclub, from then on I was a big fan.

Christmas since then has always involved a bottle of Tennessee's finest and now as word of my love of the drink has spread around family I have received a bottle as a gift from some family members. This year I got four bottles, in addition to the one I had purchased earlier in December I think I have enough to see me through to next years festivities.

I'm not a big drinker and will have a glass or two maybe a couple of nights a week after work to unwind, maybe some on the weekend too if it takes my fancy.

I know the distillery filter the whiskey through sugar maple charcoal in large wooden vats prior to aging which is a process most bourbon's do not use, I find this adds to the smooth taste and helps it go down extremely easy even when neat.

I have grown to appreciate the taste neat without coke or ice but occasionally I will add one or both, when neat I enjoy smelling it before a sip, for some reason I find this adds to the overall experience. As said it goes down smoothly and I don't find it burning like some other whiskeys. It is worth checking out the Jack Daniel's website for recipes on a few different combinations, some are quite delicious.

It isn't the cheapest whiskey on the market but for me on the odd occasion I have to buy it it's around £18 at Tesco for 70cl which isn't awful.

        In Summary

It's a smooth whiskey which is perfect for first time whiskey drinkers or whiskey lovers, I enjoy the taste and would recommend it.

          Advantages

          • Reliability

          Disadvantages

A very nice device, I enjoy reading on it and would recommend it. Brilliant HD quality display.

          About The Product

The Kindle Fire HD is a 7" high definition tablet manufactured by Amazon, it comes with either a 16GB or 32 GB internal memory and a screen resolution of 1280 × 800. Its dimensions are 7.6×5.4×0.41 in and weighs 395g.

It runs on the Android operating system Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) 4.0, has 1GB or RAM and has dual speaker Dolby sound.

          My Opinions & Experiences

Already an owner of the Google Nexus 7 I wasn't sure if this device would be of enough difference to warrant me owning the two. They are similar sizes and have a similar look and feel, but I enjoy using the Kindle Fire HD just as I enjoy using the Google Nexus 7.

The one thing Amazon Kindle's are widely used for is for reading books, now I can do that on my Nexus tablet fairly easily using the inbuilt Google Books or even downloading the Kindle software but the Kindle Fire HD is geared towards books and I find it enjoyable reading them on this device.

Amazon with their Kindle range have opened up their online store to millions of devices, the Kindle Fire HD makes it so easy to buy books and other content directly from Amazon with their one touch purchasing system that you have to keep an eye on how much you are spending as it is almost too easy.

The display is bright and fresh making reading easier than with printed books, here you have a backlight perfect for those night time readers. The words are clear and crisp and moving between pages seamless and simple.

When you launch the device you are taken to your showreel, this displays books, games, web pages you have recently viewed. There is a top menu for shop, games, apps, books, music, videos, newsstand, web, photos, docs and offers. The device uses the Amazon app store to deliver content straight to your device, this is different to the Google play store and in my opinion for apps not as good. There seems to be less of the apps I use on my Google Android devices and although the Kindle runs on the Google operating system it makes use of its Amazon appstore instead. Perfect for books, but maybe not so for some apps, there are no Sky apps for instance.

The videos option is another slight drawback, Amazon owns LOVEFILM and you can only purchase videos using a LOVEFILM account, fine if you have a subscription or want one but if you don't then this is a bit of a shame. You can upload your own videos and watch them but it would be nice to be able to purchase movies without subscribing to LOVEFILM.

I haven't had much of a look at the music store but this seems a general link up to the Amazon shop, much like the books therefore this would be simple to purchase and use the content.

Battery level does seem so far to be better than other devices I own, having played a mixture of books, movies and some music, mixed in with web browsing etc it has lasted me around 6 hours. Of course a higher percentage of video/music playback will effect your battery life where as little of this and more book reading will further extend the time before you need to recharge. The official line is up to 11 hours but it will be different for different usage as to be expected.

It has a front facing HD camera which is extremely useful for photos and of course Skype, I have tried it out on Skype and it works perfectly. A HDMI port allows you to link the device to your television which will enable you to operate the Kindle on the television screen, I haven't yet given this a go but I imagine for movies, photos or the web it would be ideal.

One of the best features of the tablet physically is the reduced screen glare, most devices use two layers of glass with a gap in between which allows light to reflect, the Kindle reduces glare by using a single glass layer. As of late December there is little sunlight to test this but I believe come the summer I will be making good use of this feature while reading in the sun.

One of the first things I wanted to test on the device was the Dolby sound system, one of my criticisms of the Nexus 7 is the low sound, the Kindle Fired HD has this problem solved with Dolby Digital Plus. The dialogue in movies is crisper and the virtual surround sound is a great feature that I wasn't expecting. The sound is aided by dual speakers located on either side of the device, this is a powerful addition and enhances the sound beyond what most tablets are able to. This all brings the sound quality to brilliant levels, no distortion at higher volumes and when playing movies you get a real mini cinematic experience.

In terms of the tablet build I think it is quite well done, very solid and has a quality feel, I like the aesthetic design of the device if not so much the volume and power buttons. The only buttons on the device are the power and volume controls, holding the device landscape with the camera at the top the buttons are on the right side, I just find them difficult to locate, they aren't very raised and are perhaps a little small. The headphone port is next to them and the HDMI and mini USB ports are at the bottom (if holding in the landscape position mentioned). The back has the Amazon and Kindle logos tastefully blended into the black colour of the device.

The device runs very fast with its 1.2 Ghz dual-core processor and I love the colour and vibrancy, the display is simply beautiful and brings to life the content like nothing I have seen on a tablet before.
It is a tablet and with the ability to play games, browse the web, watch films and work then it is so much more than just a book reader. Personally though I will probably use it more for the books and easy link up to the Amazon shop than anything else purely due to my already owning the Google Nexus.

          In Summary

It's a fast, clear and easy to use device, makes purchasing and running content from Amazon simple, slight drawback on general apps and video content for purchase has to be through a LOVEFILM subscription.

Sound and HD display are absolutely brilliant.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Great value, work well, highly recommended

            About The Product

The Lonsdale wrist grips are a pack of two wrist grip gym/exercise equipment. They have a foam black handle without grooves.

They are inexpensive and I have seen them available for around £1.50.

            My Opinions & Experiences

I have owned these for four years and were bought with the intention to help improve forearm, hand and wrist strength for my tennis playing and just for general health/fitness (always good to have a good grip).

Before using these during playing tennis in particular I would often feel my wrist and forearm ache after playing for any prolonged period of time. I have always lifted weights so while my biceps and forearms were strong to a degree I knew my forearm and wrist would be much stronger if I started using the wrist grips I had previously seen around. I bought a pair and started using them immediately, the great thing about them is you can use them while watching tv etc, you don't have to set aside part of your gym time to using them. After about a month I felt the benefit and over the years they have improved my tennis playing allowing me to hit a harder shot and to play for longer without pain.

They take some getting used to but after a while you will be gripping them without even noticing you are doing so. They are comfortable to use, the foam handle ensures you don't end up with blisters.

I can't compare them to other brands as I have only used these ones but after four years of use they haven't broken up at all, the foam handle is still intact and they have done a world of good to my forearm, wrist and hand strength.

            In Summary

To summarise they are a great value pair of wrist grips, comfortable to use with foam handles, they have lasted a long time and will no doubt do wonders to your wrist, hands and forearms. I highly recommend them to all, especially if you play a sport using your hands.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

For me the perfect anti-dandruff shampoo

            About The Product

Nizoral anti-dandruff shampoo is a shampoo aimed at treating and preventing dandruff and its symptoms such as a dry, flaky, red or itchy scalp.

The product comes in a pink and white box, inside is the white bottle of shampoo with flip cap and an instruction manual. The shampoo itself is a dark pink colour, it isn't scented.

            My Opinions & Experiences

I have had dandruff problems for years now, I started using the usual anti-dandruff shampoos such as head and shoulders as soon as the problem was noticeable. I find these products marginally work for a while but then almost stop having any effect.

It's important to recognise that the effectiveness of these products depends a lot on what your condition is and will vary greatly for different people. After getting a bit tired of having a flaky scalp I went to see a GP wondering if they could recommend a medicated version. There was one he said I could give a go and with the prescription notice I went to the pharmacy, here is where I got lucky, they didn't have what was prescribed but something similar called Nizoral. I wasn't overly impressed but though I would give it a go.

I opened it and read through the instruction leaflet, it's important to read this. You need to start with two or three uses a week for 2-3 weeks, after which you should hopefully find it to have worked. You then only need to use the product once a week to ensure the dandruff stays away, the other days I just use a regular shampoo.

You need to take an ample amount and really work it in for a few minutes, thoroughly massaging it into the scalp, leave it in for a few minutes and then thoroughly rinse.

I have now been using it for five months and using it once a week I find I am virtually flake free, none are visible and my scalp is no longer itching. Nizoral has therefore worked perfectly for me and I would recommend it to anyone, it may or may not work for you but based on my experience with it, it's certainly worth a try. It has lasted a long time due to only needing now to use it once a week, I had it on prescription so not sure of the over the counter cost but even if it costs more than the well known brands it will last a lot longer and for me has been a million times as effective.

            In Summary

To summarise Nizoral anti-dandruff shampoo has been great for me, it has gotten rid of the flakes and itchy scalp and by using once a week has kept them away. I would highly recommend the shampoo.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A good pack of face wipes, they do what they say on the package, clean and refresh the skin.

            About The Product

Johnson's Daily Essentials Refreshing Facial Cleansing Wipes are a pack of 25 facial wipes, they are in a pale pink plastic packaging with the usual peel back cover.

The packaging has lots of information regarding the product and I quite like the design which is very in line with the Johnson's brand.

            My Opinions & Experiences

I often work late and often have to rush in the mornings, me and my fiancée generally buy these for a quick wash or to freshen yourself up, she also uses them when removing makeup.

We have tried many different brands and find some become rather dry or less effective even after a short period of time, with these as long as you keep the peel back cover sealed will last a lot longer. I don't use them every day so having some that last a while and keep fresh is always a bonus. I usually use them more often during late nights while working, if feeling tired using one of these alongside a good coffee goes a long way to improved productivity, occasionally I will use them in the morning while in a rush.

The wipes are thick and as I have mentioned stay fresh meaning they keep quite moist but not too much which is good. They always pull out one at a time, in the past we have had issues with others coming out in twos or sometimes getting stuck, but these are just fine.

I find them very soft on the face and neck and it leaves the skin feeling tingly and very clean, the skin dries fairly quickly and they leave a certain scent, can't describe it really, just a clean refreshing scent.

            In Summary

To summarise I find the wipes very good, they clean and refresh my skin quickly, they last a good amount of time and when on offer are a real bargain.

            Disadvantages

Excellent coffee maker, safe and easy to use and most importantly makes a great cup of coffee

            About The Product

Made by Kenwood, this is their CM024 kMix Coffee Maker in peppercorn black, weighing 2.22 lbs and made of cast aluminium and stainless steel, width is 26cm, height 29cm. The machine has the capacity for 6 cups and features the ThermoGen heating system allowing for perfect filter brewing temperature.

Inside the box alongside the coffee maker is a glass carafe, permanent filter plus paper filters, an Instruction manual, a registration card and of course a UK plug.

            My Opinions & Experiences

I bought this early 2010 to replace my old filter coffee maker which after a couple of years of hard graft had decided to call it a day. I purchased it on Amazon and a few days later it was delivered, it was well boxed and upon taking the machine out I was very happy with how it looked. Placing it in the kitchen it blended well with other appliances, it is black (peppercorn black to be precise) with a silver metallic finish in other areas. I think it looks very stylish and is quite a small machine allowing plenty of room on the worktop, non-slip feet help to keep it secure.

I started using it there and then, it is operated using a one touch control so that everything is kept very simple. One of the great features is the storage area to warm your cup while you wait, originally I didn't think it was such a great idea but I quickly learned to appreciate this and now it is second nature. The glass carafe has a good grip and water markings on the glass allow you to prepare correctly, this has a capacity for 6 cups but for large mugs 3 is about average which is more than enough for myself, a full glass carafe will be ready in around 6 minutes.

There is a permanent filter which comes with the coffee maker so you don't have to keep buying the paper ones, though if you prefer the paper filters you can still use them.

The ThermoGen system is probably the best part of the coffee maker, it produces the perfect temperature for brewing the coffee. If you have ever had a drip of coffee land on your hand before from a similar machine then fear not, this one has a non-drip feature which thankfully eradicates this issue.

            In Summary

To summarise it is a great coffee maker, the ThermoGen system and the heating of the cups, along with the non-drip feature combined with the way it looks and fits just make it an all round 5 star machine that I highly recommend.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A great light and fruity wine which will go down far too easily

            About The Product

Ernest & Julio Gallo White Zinfandel is a light pink wine, it comes in a 750ml bottle. The bottle has the Gallo label and some basic information regarding alcohol, this one is 9.5%. Their is a bottle top that you twist so great for the casual drinker who wants to keep this over a few days.

Gallo was originally started by brothers Ernest & Julio Gallo in a Californian vineyard, today it is still run by the family.

            My Opinions & Experiences

I enjoy a glass of wine after work, I find it is the perfect way to unwind after a stressful day and as of yet can find nothing else takes the edge off quite like wine. Over the years I have tried many, I have my favourites and for price to taste ratio the Gallo range are certainly one of my favourites.

The white zinfandel has a light pink colour, removing the bottle top you get a sweet grape aroma, not too over bearing and just right. It is a very light tasting wine, not at all strong, there is a lovely blend to the taste of berries, it consists of dried cranberry, watermelon and fresh cherries and these come through a lot more after the first glass. I really enjoy the lightness of the taste and the mixed fruit lingers for a while after.

Price varies between stores but I mostly pick it up in Tesco for £6.49.

            In Summary

To summarise the wine is a great after work drink, but also a good gift for birthdays etc and also to take to parties. It is light and fruity and at the right end of most budgets. I would highly recommend it.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A good quality satellite navigation tool, never had any problems

            What Is The Product

The TomTom Start is a Satellite Navigation (SatNav) tool created in 2009, it is black with a grey trim with the TomTom logo at the bottom. It fits nicely into a single palm allowing you to easily enter your destination and route details.

It is secured to your windscreen via a suction pad and a locking mechanism which you twist to ensure it is fixed, to release you unscrew the twisting lock and pull a tab and the suction pad should come away quite easily.

It comes with a free one off update which will update all the maps for which the device was bought for. A USB cable, car charger and documentation come inside the box. Plugging in the device to your computer will allow you to install the "Home" software, from here you can download free themes, voices etc as well as update the firmware of the device.

            My Opinion & Experience

I received this as a gift about two years ago, I don't need to use it often but when I have I have had no problems with it at all. I enter a postcode and it will quickly find satellites, and instruct me along the way to the postcode I entered. Obviously as it's a postcode unless you could enter a house/building number it will take you to the general location only, not usually too difficult from there though to find where you need to be. If you have a house/building number then I have always been taken to the right spot every time without fail. You hear some funny stories of people being taken to different places, no such drama with this device. If I have ever taken a wrong turn the device quickly readjusts my route.

I have used the "Home" software to upgrade the firmware and add different voices, themes and the correct car model that I drive so a miniature version of it appears on the screen. There are lots of free options.

I have never really fully charged the battery so can't say how long it lasts, I usually just use it with the car charger while it is operating.

            Summary

A good quality satellite navigation tool, never had any problems and has some good free customisation options for those interested. It looks great, fits easily and finds alternate routes very quickly, I would highly recommend it.

Fantastic buget player, no problems with it thus far, recommend to anyone

            What Is The Product

It's a black Technika DVD player (DVDFAW08), it will play DVD, DivX, MP3, CD, JPEG. The player comes with a remote control (batteries not included) and an easy to digest user manual. No Scart lead is included.

On the front of the DVD player you have a simple on/off button, a light that has a state of red or green for on or off, an eject button, a play/pause button and a stop button.

            My Opinion & Experience

I bought this DVD player from Tesco very cheaply for around £22 if I remember right, it was intended for my bedroom to connect to a TV DVD combo after the DVD had stopped working. The player doesn't come with a Scart lead which wasn't a problem as I already had a spare. Connecting it to the TV is simple and after plugging it in to a socket it came on.

I have had no problems with the player, it has played many DVD's with no issues at all, I have also used a few CD's on it and again despite some being a little scratched there have been no problems. Playback is smooth and the player responsive. The remote has a number of features that all half decent players will have, skip, chapter select, menu etc.

It is black and very slimline, looks just fine, very good in fact for a £22 player, only grips is no skip buttons on player itself, sometimes this could be handy.

            Summary

A working DVD player, has all that most people will require at a price which will probably see some overlook it as cheap, that would be a shame as I would recommend it to anyone.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A good price set with DVD included, would be a bargain if the DVD worked better

            What Is The Product

A 19" HD ready Freeview TV/DVD combo, it is black. The DVD will eject out of the right hand side of the machine. It comes with a stand but can be wall mounted if preferred. It is quite lightweight.

            My Opinion & Experience

I bought this about a year and a half ago to go in my bedroom, just a small, relatively cheap Freeview box was required to watch in mornings and before bed. Having the DVD built in was a good idea as it saves on space.

For about a year this worked just as expected, the Freeview worked as well as our external aerial would allow and DVD's played without issue. Then the DVD player started to play up, it started with skipping during playback, then it would sound like it was scratching the disks and sometimes not play for the first couple of attempts. In the end it took far too much effort to get a disk to play that it was just not worth it. Rather than buy a new TV we just got a very cheap DVD player and have connected it via scart plug and so far this has worked fine.

I'm not sure of what the issue with the inbuilt DVD player was, I used a cleaner DVD and that did little good, all DVD's were either new or played perfectly well on other devices.

The freeview works fine and I love the design of the set, rounded corners and is quite sleek, just a shame the DVD stopped working.

            Summary

I am not sure it's necessarily a Bush problem, it could well be a one off, the television has continued to work well. I can't therefore recommend it but for the design and everything else about it I can't say it's an awful set either.

            Advantages

They feel soft and quality, they absorb well and have lasted long enough to be classed as a good buy

            What Is The Product

Towels made by Tesco, they are 100% cotton and come in different colours. They are suitable for machine washing and can be put in the tumble dryer.

            My Opinion & Experience

I have had these a while, I can't remember how long exactly but must be well over a year. In that time I have washed and dried them many times and they have lasted well, very well in fact. I mainly dry outside but have used the tumble dryer from time to time on the towels and they have had no problems from this. They are yet to fall apart at all and with the use of some fabric softener are as soft as they have ever been. They come in different colours and I own white and blue ones.

For the price I paid at Tesco they have been brilliant, they feel quality and are so soft on the skin, after a bath they absorb the water very quickly and are indeed quite cosy. In terms of size they a bit shorter than some other towels I have but are still more than big enough to wrap around myself, they are quite thick.

            In Summary

I would recommend these towels, they feel soft and quality, they absorb well and have lasted long enough to be classed as a good buy, especially at the price I paid for them at Tesco.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

A reliable external drive for organising and/or backing up your data.

This external hard drive was bought by myself about a year and a half ago when I was using an old desktop computer with 250GB of memory on the internal hard drive. I eventually had filled it to almost breaking point and was tired of the almost never ending "computer low on space" messages and having to delete things.

I had a look on the Internet and came across this Seagate Freeagent 250GB external hard drive, it looked fine, had good reviews and most importantly of all was within my budget. I bought it and doubled my memory capacity, I decided to place some of the larger and rarely used files on this and I was able to free up nearly 100GB on my desktop in next to no time.

Setting up is simple, you plug in to the mains and using a USB attach the external drive to your computer/laptop. The drivers will automatically install and you should be up and running within a few minutes.

I have since upgraded my desktop and have more than enough memory but have kept this and now have it attached to the newer computer and use it for files that I rarely use but will use at some point, it's a great way to organise your files etc and of course to back up data.

I would recommend it, file transfer is fast, and is a great, reliable external drive for organising and/or backing up your data.
