Well the latest thing is to rent your dvd's from the internet. Well if you were considering Blockbusters, DON'T!!
Yes they have a wide selection, but its whether they will dispatch any to you. To give you an example I waited 4 days and they still didn't send out any titles. I rang them and their somewhat cavalier attitude was they didn't have any titles I wanted in stock, despite of having a list of over 40 titles to chose from, new titles as well as old, there was no offer of refund and they were far from helpful
Screen select, tesco, lovefilm all offer a 24hr turnaround upon receipt of titles, so if you want to DVDs, don't bother with blockbusters!
Are we ourselves being bullied into failing to act? Are we actually doing the bullys any favours, because at the end of the day, there is always someone, bigger, harder, more cruel than you. To stand back and do nothing, is in itself a subtle condoning of their actions. We are also not helping the bully to overcome whatever has caused him/her to behave like that. Political correctness would have it that there are reasons for bulls, and I can quite agree, but we can can all drudge up excuses, we can all claim that something unfortunate happened to us somewhere in our past, what it doesn't do is to permit or condone us to inflict the same or similar on another individual. We as parents, members of society and more importantly educational authorities, and governments need not only speak out but to stand by our words, stand up to the bullies and send the clear message of support to the victims, and the message that bullying in any and all forms will not and never will be tolerated. Failure to do anything else is guaranteeing that you yourself one day will be the victim.
This is an excellent, fearsome, challenging game. The graphics are fantastic and it has a great proportion of shooting fun. There is a great selection of weapons such as the Assault Rifle, Shotgun, Grenade Launcher, Magnum Handgun and many more. The zombies look absolutely realistic. You can actually see the blood and rotten skin on these zombies. The place that you are trying to escape from is called Racoon City. The graphics for the buildings, cars, shops, fires and other known objects are excellent. The Nemesis is an excellent challenge for this game. This game is truly the best to get. The game is a 1 player and is suitable for ages 15 and over. After beating the game, there will be a bonus level for which to earn money. When you have enough money you can get infinity ammunition for the Assault Rifle, Gatling Gun, Rocket Launcher or an infinity ammunition box for all weapons on the game. Cheats are available at www.cheatcc.com, www.cheatersparadise.co.uk or www.cheatplanet.com.
Ever needed a driver or just some info.. Well look no further, when you join and that is free, you have an extensive library available to you. You can search by category or manufacturer, and the additionally a search engine. Not only are there links to manufacturers websites (beware those some of these no longer exist) but also to forums and ftp sites where you can download the driver. Navigating the site is easy and fast, they don't waste your time with flashy graphics,so you seem to find what you are looking for quicker. Can upload drivers, I have as yet done that, so wouldn't like to comment. Invaluable when searching for drivers especially out of production peripherals and bits or hardware. A must for your favourites
Books, music, DVDs, Videos, software and much more.... They offer a wide variety of items within each category, displaying the price and expected dispatch times. Prices are not alway competitive especially when you take into the fact of delivery charges which are a bit pricey compared to some retailers. However they do have specials and its worth keeping an eye on that site for the bargain. In its favour is the gift certificates, which some companies offer and can be used at amazon, The gift certificates are emailed to your address but you only have 24 hours in which they are valid, they could extend this as not everyone checks their email daily. Whilst they offer hardware, it can be pricey and the selection is limited. They use royail mail for some items, with all the problem inherent with that, but you can monitor your orders, to see if they have been dispatched. Haven't had cause to make any returns, but there is a clear link if you do have problems. For books, DVDs and software, worth keeping an eye on
They reckon that search engines only cover approximately 17% of the web, so its good to have an arsenal of search engines, and definitely include lycos in that arsenal. On the search facility it defaults to searching the uk, but you can expand that to include the entire web. But that isn't all lycos has to offer, they offer there on ISP, free text messenging(very very useful) as well as links to competitions and games. So if you're looking start with lycos.
I f you are searching for DVDs, video and more recently playstation 2 titles, then look no further than www.blackstar.co.uk Apart from being very reasonably priced, they have monthly specials, where you can pick up some real bargains. You can search for forth coming titles, and reserve with a 20% discount. Each purchase amasses you stars which can then be used against, items on offer. If you have order items not yet released, then they email you weekly updates. You can join their mailing list and there is much more. Do not display stock availability (aside not yet released) but every order I have placed has arrived very promptly, you get an email confirming the sale. I haven't as yet had to return an item, but I had cause to ring their customer services with regards to bonus item that had seemed to have go astray in the mail. They were extremely polite and helpful and immediately despatched another bonus item. They response to email queries, larger companies could lern from their customer services staff. In short not a bad word to be said, do yourself a favour and check it out, you won't be disappointed
Let me ask a question.... How many of you have sent a parcel and its gone astray? How many of you have sent a letter, and its either not arrived or years late? How many of us have had deliveries vanish? Would we be all talking about Royal Mail?? Its got so bad that I now check with companies "who are your couriers?" If they answer Royal Mail, they loose my custom, Nothing is safe, letters, parcels, recorded delivery.. nothing, on the few occasions that you do indeed receive an item, its damaged the contents are put in their plastic bags, obviously deemed not worthy of going missing. You can't even track parcels as you can with many other couriers. Cynical you might think, I'd answer experience. And they wonder why Joe public is looking for alternatives. So the crux of this is use anybody but Royal Mail, if you want your prcel to arrive safe, sound and intact. There are better couriers out there,
My first two orders from Buy.com wereof reasonable price, especially if you get e-vouchers, and the promised next day delivery was on time, Wheres the problem you might ask, well if you order below £35.00 there is a delivery charge, and to be quite honest the prices are just reasonably priced, there are better prices out there. But the real problem comes when they bring in a new despatch services, they has switched all deliverys below a certain weight to our not so trusty friend The Royal Mail, but still maintain their next day delivery promised. Well let me tell you it doesn't work!!!, I have been waiting nearly 3 weeks for a cdrom, they insist that two have been despatched, it would be nice for any to arrive, as it stands they are despatching a third by UPS, and reviewing my claim for compensation, I will keep you posted. They have recently been taken over by John Lewis and there is a rumour that the mode of delivery will also be changed, so it will be intersting to watch and see what occurs, in the meantime... shop around quite frankly its not worth the hassle.
AllAdvantage, not all its cracked up to me. Some months ago, I signed up for AllAdvantage, they would pay 30per hour for a maximum amount of hours per month, and when a certain target was reached, they would send you out a check. Brilliant you might think, well it would if they had kept to their original limits, but each months this limit seems to decrease. At the moment, the limit is now 12 hours per month at 30per hour, and only a corresponding percentage, from your referrals. Also they will only send out a check, once you reached £18 sterling or whatever the corresponding exchange you belong to. They have also introduced a sweepstakes program, which excludes you from monetary payout but offer you the chance, to win $50,000 or share at least. In short if you are an occasional user, you've lost nothing. If you are a heavy user, there are better offers out there.
Foe many years I had a Sony hi-fi seperates system and considered myself happy. Unfortunately it went to the great Hi-Fi heaven. Enter the Technic systems, and I take back all the good words I have said about sony in the past. This Technics system is heaven to music. It is a seperates system, that comes with a comprehensive manuals, which is very necessary considering the wiring involved, but any complexity is worth every effort. So having wired everything up, and stacked the seperates in the obligatory order, it was timeto turn it on. I still smile at the joy of being able to hear every note with a clarity that is not surpassed by the artist physically being present. At its upmost volume and that is deafening, there is no distortion whatsoever. I keep turning the volume up to check. The spectrum analyser I am still playing about with all the different option, it is dolby surround 5.1, so attached to a DVD player, you have your own private front seats at the cinema. 5 CD changer, so you won't have to budge from your seat too often. Dolby tape decks, tuner and so much more. I could go on all day about this system, but I'd rather listen to it. So would you given the chance, if you are in the market for a new Hi-Fi, you have just got to go and see one of these
What a great little phone. Little being the operative word. Its size means that it very easily fits into your jeans pocket or jacket pocket. It has a handy flip cover which prevents you from inadvertantly dialing numbers. It is also quite hardy. Its size does not seem to hinder signal reception and clarity of sound is quite impressive. You can get a range of accessories including the all important hands free. Word of caution though, the battery after about six months runs down quite quickly, needs recharging once a day. Aside from that a very nice phone.
The government has decided to make use of the web as an education tool. The product is www.ParentsOnline.co.uk This is a really good site, with national curriculum for all ages and stages. School have access and are actively encouraging parent to visit. My son has just started his GCSEs and the learning tools there were brilliant, they have information and quizzes in subject categories and what grades you wish to aspire to. If nothing else it gave my son examples and questions, how they are phrased and what type of answers are expected. Now my son visits every day, yours should too
CD prices that don't break the bank and delivery is free too. CDs are £8.99 all inclusive, Double CDs are £10.99 and cassettes £5.99. The delivery seems to take awhile some 7+ days. Packaging is good so your goods arrive in good condition. They advertise the top 75 albums, but the chart seems a little dated. You can also browse via their selection of artists. This list grows with every visit. But with these prices, whats the rush
Office supplies, furniture and much more. Prices are very competitive, though be aware excluding VAT. It advertises that quatities of the same item deceases the price, but have not tried this myself. Good description of the items and quantity to cost. Delivery on orders over £30 before VAT is free and if entered before 12pm and you live within a catchment area delivery will be made the same day. This was very impressive and extremely useful. They give free gifts with orders and regularly update their prices and specials. Definitely a site worth keeping an eye on
