In the 70's Snowball was a very popular drink of my mother's generation.. You can guarantee at Christmas time Snowball amongst othere popular favourites of hers would be on the bar ready and available for all. One of my younger memories is drinking Snowball. Its a drink for those who like it. I would occasionally drink Snowball at parties, weddings etc. The Snowball drink is of a slightly thick consistency, the ingredients in a Snowball are as follows: a handfull of ice cubes, 2 shots advocaat, ½ shots lime cordial, and ½ shots Sherry and not forgetting a splash of Lemonade. Snowball can be drunk out of a cocktail glass and to add that extra sophistication, you can add character to the Snowball by adding a cherry on a stick. This drink is so easy to make. The snowball drink also comes in a small easy to carry bottle and can be bought at any of the high street supermarkets. Costing vary.
I first started drinking Babycham in my early twenties, it was drink that most of my friends would drink whenever we were on a night out. Babycham had a sharp crispy pear taste, I have found this drink to be very sparkling and refreshing, the alcohol content is very low. Babycham comes in a small smooth green bottle carefully wrapped with an easy to foil that unravels at the top of the bottle. It's alcohol content is quite small and to add some pazzaz you can add a cherry on a stick. Babycham can also be drunk with Brandy. This was very popular 30 years ago, you can guarantee that Brandy and Babycham was always available. The cost of Babycham has increased over the years it now costs £26.99 per case of 24 small bottles, the large bottle can be purchased, however the smaller bottle is more popular. Once you see the Pony on the label, you know its Babycham!
I was introduced to drinking Aloe by a representative that I had met. I was told that drinking Aloe can help with me feeling lethargic in the mornings and that I would have more energy. As a very busy mother I thought this would be a good solution into helping me feel more energetic. I was given a sample to start off with, my first sip of Aloe Vera was a bitter experience it was not a very nice taste. The drink is of a clear lumpy consistency which I found quite easy to swallow. I have manged to continue to drink Aloe Vera, and have been drinking now for over 4 years twice a day 7 days a week. The content of inside the leaves of the Aloe Vera Plant is a clear thick gel that has many natural source of nutrients. It has an a list of Vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, B12, C, and E including calcium for bones, Amino Acids for building of protein. I have found drinking Aloe Vera regularly helps me with my lifestyle, I no longer wake up in the morning feel lethargic my immune system is balanced, my digestive system is quiet healthy including my skin, hair and nails. The drink comes in an 1 litre bottle (which does not have a handle, wished it did for easy carrying) the price is £20.80 and comes in 3 other flavours. The bottle can be recyled when finished.
My first car was a vauxhall viva. It was a present bought to me by my step-father, he was very proud of me as it took me more than 2 attempts to pass. The cost of the car was £250.00 as you can imagine back in the 80's that was very expensive, perol was 38.2 per litre. This car was 4 door saloon, the colour was a deep green, the car felt huge to manage it did not have any power steering therefore it meant turning corners was very hard. The car was easy to maintain, insurance was of a very good value as a first time driver. There were no electric windows, sunroof, ac, central locking, air bags, not even a cigarette lighter, radio it had none of the mod cons of cars that are purchased today. Yet it was great, you could say that this car was very basic, economical. The HB's handsome lines and peppy performance made it a sales hit, with close to 560,000 units sold. Body design had improved after Vauxhall's poor reputation with corrosion on previous models. The HB had better underbody protection, but was prone to rusting through the front wings in the area behind the headlights where water, mud and salt could accumulate. This ongoing problem with salt on the road affected many makes & model, not just the Viva, but was an ongoing poor reputation for corrosion undoubtedly contributed to the development of bolt-on wings and wheel-arch liners in subsequent generations of family passenger car. Having a green car some say was unlucky sometimes I wonder as I did have a couple of bumps and knocks. Since then I haven't had a green car since!
I was estatic when I purhcased my first ever BMW, it was a car I only dreamed about never thinking I could own one, and then I did. It was a metallic blue colour, 5 door with leather seats, headrests, sunroof, electric windows, ac the works. It was a car you could sleep in. It would glide along the motorway often getting me into trouble for going a little too fast, so I was mindful to keep my eye on my speedometer. This car purred like a kitchen as she moved. The car's features were 4 door, Saloon, 4 Electric Windows, Air Conditioning, Alarm, Alloy Wheels, Anti-Lock Braking System, Approved, Central Locking, Cruise Control, Deadlocks, Driver's Airbag, Electric Mirrors and a CD player. The previous owner kept the car in very good condition which made it feel like new, being i was 320i the engine size was 2.0litre. The BMW has been produed in six different generations and having 5 different body styles. I was in purhcase of this car over ten years ago it was very economical on petrol as the prices were a lot lower that what they are today. I drove every where, on one occassions I went to Ascot ladies day I felt I was in an elite club as all the posh cars were there, I felt posh. This is a good and solid car. The cost of the care £2,995.00
You can imagine my surprise on Christmas 2011 when I opened my gift and I actually got what I ordered and more. It was the Vivienne Weswood Boudoir Eau De Parfum and to my surprise it came as a set with the Velvet Body Veil Lotion Velours. I was first introduced to this product by a friend of mine, as each time we met we would greet each other by hugging and she would smell wonderful which made our embrace last a couple seconds longer. It was then I asked what was she wearing and she told me Boudior by Vivienne Westwood. Well, I can tell you it went straight to the top of my Christmas list and I told my children if I didn't get this present on Christmas morning there would be no Christmas dinner! As previous years I had requested Tiffany bracelet and I'm still waiting. So 25th Dec 2011 there it was this big box all wrapped up with my Boudior inside the parfum smells adorable it's a scent that can last all day long you would only need a small amount behind he ears and on your wrist. The parfum comes in a glass bottle 1.7fl / 50ml, the bottle is kind of a square round shape, the top has a gold ring to it with a ball like ball in the middle and on top of that there is a symbol which resembles like a cross. The gold rim is still gold looking and he colour has not faded. The lotion is fanastic, its delicate and sensual to touch as when smoothed into my skin I feel the lotion has mositurised my skin leaving it feel like velvet veil and well perfumed all over. The tube is 6.7fl / 200ml white in colour with gold written description. There is a symbol which states i can last up to 24months. This product would have to go in your suitcase if you were to take it on holiday as it exceeds the 100ml requirement! The parfum on it's costs £37.00, however the set was around £50.00 from Miss Selfridges. I think I will put in another request for this Christmas as the body lotion is nearly finished! Great present for any occassion!
What can I say about this phone? I can honestly tell you that I have had this phone for about 3 years. How I came to have the Nokia 6600i Slide was through a free upgrade which I had on a yearly basis via T-Mobile. I had two options £10 of my monthly bill or a free upgrade, so naturally i opted for the free upgrade. The phone is small and neat it fits in my hand bag quiet easily, it has a colour screen and the screen saver that I chose for my phone is the reef, I just love when I slide open the phone and watch the fishes swim across the screen, oh and not forgetting the bubbles too. There is 23 wallpapers to choose from, however I like the reef, it been that for years, maybe I shall change it When I first had the phone I found it difficutl to use putting in peoples numbers and storing them, as you know most people have more that one number. For each add contact came with 6 sections to complete. This list consisted of 1. First Name 2. Last Name 3. Mobile Number 4. Home Number 5. email 6. Image Can you imagine filling this out 100 times, then deciding as to whether to save on sim or phone, phew!! This little phone had lots of little icons to access, mobile tv, media, gallery, maps, the list is endless and to this day I still don't know what each of these areas are for. The phone came with the option of having the internet on the phone at the time, I felt it was not necessary as I had access to internet at home. Nokia 660i slide comes with a camera 5.0 mega pixel which takes fantastic colour photos. It took me a while to add a photo to some of my contacts in my fone, I was pleased when I didn't need to ask the children for help, as I drove them crazy. The handbook was helpful in some areas and not in others. The volume on the phone is very good, it comes with a radio, I would listen to my favourite radio station when travelling or music that I have put on the phone. You can record music, organise your life by putting information on the to do list, make notes, calculator, stopwatch etc etc. As for the battery life it's amazing, to date I have not had any problems with the battery, the phone has been dropped many times over the years and the phone is sill going strong. I swtiched it off for a week whilst I was away on holiday, when I returned I switched on the phone the battery did not require charging until 3 days later! The Nokia 6600i is a great phone, the best free upgrade I ever had!
I first was recommended to this produt by a distributor who convienced me to try this product as she said that it was good for my dry skin particularly my feet and elbows. I have been using Propolis Creme for over 4 years, this lotion is a smooth non sticky consistency. The creme is of a light cream colour funnily enough! I used on my very dry skin twice a day. I use a small amount which was all I needed, the size of 20p. The creme left my skin feeling soft and smooth and I have no more ashy elbows and hard skin on my feet. This creme does not leave a stain on my clothes and have a light scented smell. The cream has chamomile and comfrey with a blend of aloe vera together with bee propolis. This Creme is partiularly good for irritated skin and has an amazing protective barrier. As a little tip, if you mix propolis creme and Aloe Vera Gelly together and apply on the hard skins on your feet, in time this will soften, why not try wearing socks to bed after you have applied both cremes, you will feel the difference! Eczema and Propolis suffers should give this a try, you will be amazed at the results. This product comes in a white tube weighing 113g at a cost of £14.96, a little high priced I know, however the results are worth it! This product is not available in any high street stores, unfortunately it is only purchased by a Forever Living Product Distributor. Beware of purcahsing this product at a higher price is some local stores
I have been using this product for a very long time. I first bought Lypsyl in a chemist in East London many years ago, this was bought instead of vaseline as I previously used this. Lypsyl at the time was at a reasonable price of 50p, over the years the price as risen to £1.10! Lypsyl leaves my lips soft, smooth and I initially found it to be very nourishing on the lips. It leaves my lips feeling moisturised and each application can last me a good few hours throughout the day, and evening. It's perfect to wear with lipstick and coats the colour well. It used to be non greasy, however, over the years, I have found it to be a little greasy although I continue to use it. If you don't mind a little greasy lips this is a good item to use. Nowadays, I never leave home with out it, and I even have more than one in several handbags. I would recommend it, and think even for the inflated price it is still a good product, however it has become difficult to purchase in various chemists.
