I've just upgraded my phone to a Sony Xperia S and I'm very happy with it. It was a little more than I wanted to pay per month but I changed the data usage I got and now I have a great deal. This is my first smart phone and I dont know how I'll live without one again.
When I first opened the box I thought wow thats a big phone, much bigger than my previous one and bigger than my ipod touch! Phones started getting smaller and smaller and now getting bigger and bigger! now I'm used to it the screen size is good for using internet and now i've got used to it, it doesn't seem to big!
I love the white bar on the bottom and between that and the phone is a transparent bit which is pretty cool. There are 3 buttons on this row which are the back button, home and menu button which are all touch sensitive.
The battery life is pretty good, but of course the more you use it the more you need to charge it, I find I need to charge it either everyday or every other day but is quick to charge.
The only downside is that you cannot remove the battery. So if for some reason I ever experience a phone freeze and before with old phones I just removed the battery and then restarted it. If this does happen I will have to wait for the battery to run down. The back of the phone is also quite difficult to remove.
I am a big fan of these little pots, ok they were most likely designed for children but adults love them too!
Petit filous are known for their fromage frais yoghurts and there are plenty of flavours out there. This pack of the chocolate and vanilla comes with 4 x chocolate and 2 x vanilla. Everyones favourite is always the chocolate one, but the vanilla is great too. Each pot is 60g and is perfect as a little dessert for adults and children.
They contain no artificial colours, preservatives or sweeteners and are also gluten free! The nutritional information per 100g is as follows:
Ok it might be a little high in sugar but these are given as a treat! Overall a great tasting fromage frais that I love to eat. The price of them is usually £1 for a pack of 6 but are often on a deal such as 3 for £3.
I like Dettol products, not only do they clean well they also smell nice!Dettol Disinfectant spray is very easy to use, simply spray onto the effect surfaces and leave to dry.
Dettol kills 99.9% of germs within 30seconds of spraying the object. I find the smell of all of them clean and fresh. It comes in like an areosol bottle which is easy to use. you just spray it onto door handles, cupboard handles and any other handles/rails etc.. to kill cold and flu germs.
I'm not sure how well this product works as my boyfriend recently had a cold so I made sure I sprayed anything he touched to help stop me getting the cold, however, it did not work and I now have the cold!
I use this product more in the bathroom as that can be a very germy place, and the spray makes it smell nice.
The price varies from £2.90-3.05 depending on what scent you go for. The can lasts a long time, so i guess it's not bad value for money.
I recently brought this game as it was on amazon at a good price, plus I had always wanted it since i got the Kinect. I have Just Dance on the Wii and really liked that game so wanted to give this a go as you didn't need a controller.
After playing Dance central I realised how much better it is than Just Dance on the Wii, it is so much more accurate and more fun. There are loads of songs to choose some (ranging from kylie minogue to lady gaga), obviously some are harder than the others but there are 3 difficulty levels for each song along with a workout mode that tells you have many calories you are burning. Certain levels need to be unlocked by achieving 4 stars or more in each of the mentioned songs, you can get up to 5 stars for each song
If you cant quite master the dance you are able to practice the dance by breaking it down which allows you to repeat the move until you get it right
I will keep playing on just dance as I think the songs are slightly better on just dance and slightly more fun, but on the wii the dance moves aren't picked up very well which is very frustrating.
I loved this game so much I want to get dance central 2! The only negative I would say is that the song choice on dance central is limited and i keep playing the same 3 songs which can get a bit dull
The first discovered hopi ear candles when i was suffering from a 'popping ear' and was a build up of wax. I had it done by a professional at first as I had no idea what they were or how to use them. I saw what she did and she explained how I can do it myself.
I used to buy the hopi ear candles from holland and Barrett but at over £8 a pair I found them a lot cheaper on amazon!
I would highly recommend these candles if you suffer from a build up of wax or ear popping, they are easy to use by yourself but you will need a mirror to judge that the candle is in an burning correctly and when the candle has burnt down to the safety line. They take about 10minutes to burn down and whilst they are burning you will hear a crackling sound which is quite relaxing.
Once the candle has burnt down to the safety line just gently remove it from the ear and blow it out, putting it out in a small dish of water too. You can peel open the candle to see just how much wax has been removed from the ear, it's quite surprising at first!
They sorted out my popping ear problem and I use them every so often to keep my ears clean.
I love the original Soreen Maly Loaf and when I saw the banana one on the shelves I had to try it as i also love bananas! It is a bright orange packet with soreen logo and bananas on the front saying " Bursting with yummy banana".
The texture is just like the normal malt loaf and is full of banana flavour, at first I found it too sickly but the taste is growing on me now. Its still low in saturated fat and gre
at source of energy. It is great for a mid morning or mid afternoon snack for a little pick me up.
I think it is a little expensive at £1.25 each so I only usually buy it when it is on special offer.
Nutritional information/ 100g:
Overall this is a healthy option for a snack, it is sweet and full of banana flavour, at first the flavour is sickly but others i know have loved it from day one. A great alternative to the original malt loaf, but i still think the original is the best.
Summary: Great product and great to see Soreen being innovative as usual
I've been a lover of crew clothing for a while now, it is made well, lasts well and looks great. It is a bit expensive so i usually wait for a sale or find discount codes!
There are many shops on the high street and a few crew clothing outlet stores around. The shops however look good and the staff are welcoming and there's also plenty room to wander around. Crew offers stylish casual clothing, for men, women, and children; think gilets, chinos, cardigans and polo shirts. The clothes are all top quality, and certainly aimed at individuals with wealth, thus making them rather expensive.
I really like the clothing available in Crew, theres a good variety. But sometimes I can jusitfy spending £70 on a jumper!
I've brought online a number of times, the delivery is quick and well packaged. The delivery charge is a little high though- but discount codes are available.
One problem i find with crew is the sizing. I've ordered lots of stuff online in my size only to find it doesnt fit. I will buy one top in a size 8 and it will fit fine, I order something else in the same size and it swaps me and looks 5 sizes too big. I brought this dress which i thought was very pretty, I put it on and it looked awful, like i was wearing a bin bag! I sent it back as it was completely shapeless. I got a full refund, no questions asked. You can return by post of in store.
There are a few G&D's in Oxford, my local one is the Cowley road one. My friend introduced me to it. They sell hot drinks, icecream, bagels, and other sandwiches and lunches etc..
Apart from cowley road you can find them on st aldates and little clarendon street. Unfortunately parking is very bad in town and so if you need to park I would suggest the cowley road one.
It's never empty, no matter what time of day you go. I go along for coffee or hot chocolate but they do delicious cakes too.
Price wise they are pretty good, ice cream is about £3 and i've never had anything that tastes bad, the sizes are generous too. They also have a good range of drinks, tea, coffee, hot chocolate and even drinks with baileys in! They are of course well known for ice cream, the main flavours are strawberry, and daim bar crunch, but lots more to choose from and you can have it in a pot or a tub.
I will continue to go to G&D's as its a great place to meet friends and is a very social place, even if you want to sit by yourself and read the newspaper, it's a great place to go.
I've called NHS direct a few times, both my myself and my boyfriend. I had to wait a long time for a call back and when my boyfriend was ill I actually had to call them again as he got worse, I was then put through quite quickly and they were concerned about meningitis and called an ambulance (luckily it was just a migrane/virus) but the ambulance arrived within 2 mins (as we live next 2 the base haha).
The nurse i spoke to on the phone asked the relevant questions and i qas quite impressed with how they treated him. When I found up about myself i didn't find them helpful at all and their advise was what i was already doing and just had to wait it out!
I've heard missed reviews about NHS direct, mostly positive apart from the long call back time, roughly 2-5hrs which is a long time when you dont feel well and want adivce asap! I know at this time of year is a busy time with everyone having vomiting bugs, coughs, cold, chest infections etc....
I also dont think it is a free phone number its an 0845 number, which I think it should be an 0800 number!
Overall it's good to have the service available but with the waiting time its probably quicker to call the doctor if your unsure what to do, but they can put your mind at ease.
I only recently came across perle de lait. I love coconut yoghurt and this one certainly didn't dissapoint. I usually choose one lower in fat/calories but this one isn't too bad.
It is very smooth and thick, and unlike other coconut yoghurts out there its not over powering and is a very gentle flavour with a small amount of dessicated coconut in the yoghurt.
It comes in pots of 4 (125g each) which are of good size and cost around £1.97 but have recently been on offer for £1 in sainsburys which is good value. A lot of people see this as a dessert, i see it as a yoghurt, but it is thicker than normal yoghurt, so it's up to you what you call it. You can also buy perle de lait in toffee or lemon flavour, i would like to try the toffee flavour next.
There aren't really any disadvantages to this, unless you dont like coconut. The only down side i would say is if you are treating it like a yoghurt it can be seen as high in fat.

I really wanted to see this film in the cinema at christmas time, but i missed it and ending up getting it on dvd. I have seen all the other christmas carols and a muppet christmas carol and most people already know the story. In case you dont.... Scrooge (who is very mean and grumpy) is visited by 3 spirits to teach him of his wrong ways, and helps him to change.
This version has Jim Carey as scrooge and is one of the best versions of this film, it is funny, scary and wonderful graphics, a clean crisp image. It is scarier than I thought it would be, I have to say even though i am in my 20's i found myself jumping at a few points in this film, so i can imagine it would be a little scary for younger viewers. It's the spiritis that can make you a little jumpy, but even so it's fun to watch and i look forward to watching it again nearer christmas!
You can buy this film in 3D or 2D, i've not seen it in 3d but imagine it is pretty good as the 2D version is fabulous.
I saw this film at the cinema in 3D (was my first 3D film) there was so much hype about it, i wanted to see what all the fuss was about. I wasn't bothered about the storyline just wanted to check out the 3D.
What I got from the film was that is about humans trying to use the Avatars in some way and they want to find out more about this race and learn from them.
To be honest the storyline was lost on me, and im not sure what it was about, the graphics on the other hand are amazing, the depth is colour is breath taking. It is just incredible!
We have just brought a 3D tv and this film is on the list to buy in 3D, it's definately worth a look. I'm not a huge fan of 3D, i found avatar too long (it's about 3hrs) and sitting in the cinema for that long wearing 3d glasses gave me a terrible headache and made me feel nauseous.
Garnier BB Cream is a fairly new product, and only saw it advertised a few months ago. I thought it looked good so wanted to give it a try. It stated that you can get radiant, flawless and clear skin with an even skin tone. That was what I needed!
I use this as a base and then use concealer as i dont think this BB cream covers it enough. I can honestly say when I brought this product I had no idea how to use it, and had to google how to use it. I wasn't that impressed with it at first, i found that it gave my skin (especially my T-zone) a really greasy appearance and I ended up taking it all off and doing what I usually do. Since then I have got used to it and now use it everyday, and it doesn't make it look greasy.I'm still not sure if i'm using it right though!
I like the consistency of this BB ream, is quite thick and you only need a small amount, so a tube will last quite a long time (mine has lasted 2 months so far).
You can buy this cream in either light of medium, I am quite pale and so used the light one and it did suit my skin tone quite well. But I think you need to finish off with a powder to reduce any oily appearance.
This cream does provide a healthy looking and glowing skin, but i'm not sure if i'll replace this when it's empty. Not only is it around £10 a tube, I was able to buy it for £8.99 from boots when it was first released.
The Kong claims to be the 'World's Best Dog Toy' and i can't disagree with that too much, but depends on the dog!
The Kong is a hollow rubber shape and is designed to be tough and durable, to withstand heavy chewing. I recently got my dog a Kong because I heard they are good for dogs that howl when left alone as it distracts them. It definately does distract her and she will try for ages to get the treat out of. You don't have to use it for just putting treats inside, you can also use it as a ball and it bounces in all different direction, but it was obviously designed to be stuffed and you can buy special kong stuffing to spray inside, but I find normal treats work just well! The stuffing for Kong I think is expensive and the Kong alone is usually £6-7 for a large one. My dog wasn't that impressed with it when she first saw it as she prefers soft toys she can carry around, I only brought it to stop her from howling as much when shes left alone. But not sure if it works as i'm not there to hear her howl!
The kong comes in different sizes from small to extra large. The large size is perfect for labrador sized dogs.
The only disadvantage is of course the price, but they still manage to sell plenty, you can usually buy them slightly cheaper on Amazon, but i actually found it cheap in sainsburys! I will continue to use it for my dog to stop her howling, even if she isn't that interested in it.
I'm sure cadburys chocolate fingers have been around for longer than I have! Years ago you would just have the original and best chocolate finger, but in more recent years they have brought out different flavours such as double chocolate, dark chocolate, dream, toffee crunch, and fabulous fingers. They have even brought out special fingers for halloween named "freaky Fingers".
The packaging of cadburys fingers hasn't changed much and is still the same familiar purple box with the cadburys logo on the top left hand corner. On the bottom right hand corner there is the treatwise logo stating there are 105 calories per serving (4 fingers).
Inside the box are the biscuits in a plastic tray covered in plastic wrapper and in a single layer. They have a good layer of cadbury chocolate on them and are crunchy and once you have one you'll want another one.
I've used them for decorating the side of cakes, and they work well. Or of course you can dunk them in coffee or just have them as a quick dessert! They have been a favourite for years and will remain so for years to come.
