The Rubix Cube is something that I'm sure we've all had before. I'm sure that 9 out of 10 people will have played with this, mixed up the colours and then gotten bored before rearranging all of the colours back to their original state.
What I'm suggesting here that the Rubix Cube is less of a puzzle and more of a frustration, and there probably is a reason why they aren't as popular as they were a few decades ago. There are a lot more fun toys on the market and I haven't a clue why anybody would buy one of these.
I'm sure there is a technique to the cube but I am also sure that it's not a skill that any child really wants to learn.
Overall I strongly believe that this is a pointless product that isn't any fun what so ever. Don't buy one of these, or buy one for someone else, because the likely hood is they won't want it.
The figurine set contains 3 pairs of famous characters from the Disney Pixar films. Each one is crafted with the exact same colours and proportions of their movie character. The poses they are in are also very recognisable and suitable for each of the characters personalities.
The one disadvantage of this set is that there are very limited things children can do with these toys. The limbs are not moveable or bendable, and as soon as they are out of the box it can be very hard to get them to stand up again.
The packaging is also very hard to get into and open, and is destroyed by opening the box. A box that the figures could be stored in would have been a much better idea.
The film contains two figurines from The Incredibles movie, which I believe are not as classic in comparison to Toy Story and Monsters Inc.
Overall, they are well made but have very little uses and don't bring too much fun.
The Polaroid Two is a fun little camera, but not something to buy if you want detailed photos. The camera is easy to use and the images are bright and clear, the only problem is that the instant photos are so small.
There is no option to save your images to a memory card, so any photos you take have to be printed and the hard copies kept with you. This is fun to start with but can get slow and tedious on a night out.
The camera is small and compact but comes with no wrist strap, which would be handy as it can be a handful when the photos come out. The camera comes with some good features like a self timer and a very good zoom and a very big screen. The battery is rechargeable but does take a while to charge up.
The paper can be very expensive to buy, and the camera can't hold very many sheets at a time. Overall, this camera is slow, tedious, and is not a good way to capture memories (as you'll probably miss them while you wait for the photos to print).
Polaroid PoGo ZINK Photo Paper is a simple way to print photos. When used with a Polaroid PoGo Printer, you can print photos with no extra ink cartridges needed. The photo is printed using heat reacting with the paper itself.
The paper is of a good quality, it's thick and shiny and like a real photo. The ink doesn't run either and the photos don't need any time to dry.
The only problem is the size it comes in. It is too small for any photo frame or album and it doesn't show much detail. The paper can also be very expensive and is very hard to come across. The 30 sheets in the box can be used in one sitting, so it can be very expensive to use regularly.
The photos are good for any collages or scrap books that you have, as you can peel off the back to reveal a sticky back.
Overall I wouldn't buy this paper, or even the printer, as it is too expensive and too small. I would recommend either printing them off in a usual inkjet paper on much cheaper photo paper at the size you want, or taking them to a shop and getting them printed.
The Polaroid PoGo Digital Photo Printer is a great idea. I bought it so I can print photos from the comfort of my own home without having to go to a shop.
The bad thing about this product, and then reason why I wouldn't recommend it, is that the photos are too small. They don't fit in any photo album or frame and look silly on my wall. The paper can also be very expensive to buy and hard to find. It is much cheaper to just take your camera to the shop and get some real size prints.
One advantage is that this photo printer doesn't need ink. The special paper prints photos without the need of ink. The printing can be a little slow too, taking over a minute to print one photo.
The Bluetooth function only works on some phones, so if you are buying this then check you're phone is compatible.
The Polaroid Image 2 is not so much of a professional camera and more of a retro fun item to play with. The camera takes only very small photographs with very little detail. The colours are paler than they should be and the colours can even be blurred. The flash is very strong and can often distort images.
The major advantage of this camera is that you can have your photos instantly. The camera prints onto special paper which is ejected soon after the photo is taken. The image then appears a couple of minutes after taking them.
The camera is very bulky and heavy. It is quite hard to hold the camera steady and press the button to take the photo. The paper is quite expensive and now can only be bought from a very few niche stores.
Overall this is a great retro piece, a great laugh but not a good camera.
The Sony LCS SC5 is a sturdy bag that will store every Sony camcorder and most modern camcorders. The main bag is well padded and protects the camera from any bumps and scratches. I don't believe it is protective enough to save the camcorder if I was to drop the bag though.
The front pocket is a good size and can be used to store accessories in (I use mine to store an external mini boom mike). The other two on the side are smaller and it is difficult to see a use for them. A few AA batteries are the most use I've ever gotten from these pockets.
The shoulder strap is too short for me to use, as I am 6 ft 2, but I believe it would be too short for most adults to carry comfortably. The handle at the top is also too small for me to fit my hand in.
Overall this bag doesn't protect my camcorder enough and certainly isn't practical.
I always felt worried when I used this product for the first time. A flip video is an expensive product and I wasn't keen on taking it in the pool with me, but I can safely assure you that this waterproof case works.
The case seals around the Flip Video and makes a rubber seal and a plastic case on top for double protection. All of the controls are still useable when the case is on. They are somewhat harder to use than without the case but still useable.
The nylon wrist strap is poorly designed. When wet the wrist strap gets fragile and started falling to bits. It also started smelling bad and wasn't pleasant to use after a few uses.
Another disadvantage is that the case is very hard to see through in sunlight, as the sunlight reflects off the plastic case. You just have to point and hope for the best, which means I've missed many a moment on my camera.
Overall the product is trustworthy and will protect your camera from water. The only problem is that the usability of the product is reduced with this case.
I needed a hard wearing case for my camera as it often ends up getting thrown around at the bottom of my bag. This hard clam case was the answer. The case is strong and creates a hard shield around the camera rather than one that just protects it from scratches.
I have accidently dropped the case a number of times and my camera hasn't been damaged at all. The case zips closed and stays closed until you want the camera. There is no chance of the camera slipping out of the case.
The case comes with a small thin shoulder strap to carry your camera around with. It's great for if you only want to bring your camera out and no other bags, but can be detached when not needed.
One problem with the case is that it's sometimes hard to close the case. Sometimes you really have to force the case shut before you can do the zip. Other than that, this case is a great way of protecting your camera. I always feel reassured that my camera will be safe when it's in this case.
It can be hard to get kids excited over brushing their teeth. These electric toothbrushes clean away more acid and plaque than the traditional toothbrush. The kids took a little while to get use to these brushes as the vibrations can be a bit scary, but after a week they loved them.
The character handles are brilliantly crafted and it's obvious who the characters are. There is a great range of characters to choose from. We got the Winnie the Pooh characters and the kids simply love them.
The major problem is that I've struggled to find replacement heads for the brushes, meaning I am left having to a buy a whole new brush again for them. The heads are very short too, meaning that the children sometimes bash their teeth with the handle when reaching the very back like I encourage them too.
Overall this is a great brush to introduce your children to brushing, but they won't last long and I'd move them onto another toothbrush after this one.
The George Foreman grill is a great addition to any kitchen. It's different from a conventional grill, as the tilted shape makes the fat pour off the food. Any foods cooked on these grills are healthy and taste better.
The grill has a large plate but is compact and doesn't take up much room. Some great features of this grill include the timer on the top. You can put food one and leave it until the alarm goes off. The grill comes with books of cooking advice and estimated times for each food.
The handle is a good idea but it does take up a lot of room on my counter. A much smaller and less pronounced handle would have worked just as well.
The grill takes a long time to heat up too, sometimes near enough 10 minutes. This device is ideal for quick meals, but the start up time slows down how fast you can get your food.
The grill can also be hard to clean. The grill comes with a little plastic scraper that doesn't even clean the old food off. The fat tray can be easily taken out and cleaned though.
Overall the grill is a great addition to any cooker, making healthy and tasty food.
With enhancements to TVs and from VHS to DVD to Blue-ray, there has been a lot of development when watching movies. This is no exception. Long gone are the days where popcorn was a pain to cook and never tasted as good as the cinema.
This device makes popcorn as good as the cinema makes, just at a fraction of the cost. The curved design allows the popcorn to simply pour into a bowl when it is cooked. There's enough room for popcorn to feed a whole living rooms full.
The device can be a little loud but hey, it's POPcorn, that half the name and half the fun of eating it! No preparation is needed; you just put it in and wait for the popcorn to pop.
The flip lid at the top allows you to poor popcorn in easily. But make sure you firmly shut the door, or you might end up with popcorn all over the floor and in the sink.
If you love movies then you'll love this home device, now you can have as high quality viewing and eating as the cinema!
British summertime can be unpredictable at best, making it hard to plan ahead for those few sunny moments we get. The Zoku Quick Pop Maker removes all the need to plan ahead when you want an ice cold treat.
The device works by freezing the inside of the maker overnight. Then you just poor any juice you want into the mould, put in the stick and let it freeze. The lollies only take about an hour to set, but I tend to leave them in longer to stop them melting in the summer sun.
The lollies can be hard to get out of the mould. The orange handle takes some muscle to pull the lolly out, and little children could not use it. As this is a fun, family activity to make healthy lollies, it would be a lot better if the children could pull the lollies out of the mould themselves.
Overall this is a great product, maybe a bit on the pricey side, but great fun and makes a great lolly.
Laptop bags can be bulky and unattractive and just an unnecessary extra piece of luggage to carry around. The sleeve eliminates all of this hassle as it gives the protection of a bag but the luxury of just carrying around the laptop.
The sleeves come in a number of different colours. They are slim but offer sufficient protection for your laptop. The zip raps all around the sleeve and I've never had any trouble with it jamming when I've tried to close or open the case.
The sleeves protect from water and dirt that could be in your bag too. I often also use it to place my notebook on to stop the heat hurting my legs.
The only problem I found is the rubber holder on the zip came off after a few uses, but it is unnecessary in the function of the case.
Overall this product is inspired and removes the unnecessary hastle of carrying around a separate bag for your notebook all day.
A card reader is a great way of getting rid of all your different camera cables which can be a pain. The Delkin eFilm is a small and compact device with every common card slot that you will ever need.
The branding on top of the device is not attractive at all, I found it ugly and it doesn't look great on my desk. The USB cable is a bit too short for what I use it for. It won't reach the back of my PC tower so I have to plug it into the front.
The device is slim and as compact as it possibly could be with all of the card types it includes. The box could use some rubber bottom so that it doesn't move around the desk. There is a lot of blank space wasted which could be used to label the card slots better.
Overall this works well but has been poorly designed and could be difficult to use unless you know your way around a card reader.
