A great landline phone for a good price.

To be honest, we hardly ever use landlines any more - we always have one or more mobile phones on us, and it's pretty cheap to call with that, and we're just used to it. There are times, though, when we need to or prefer to use the landline. For this purpose, of just making the occasional call, we really didn't need anything special or fancy, and didn't need any particular features - it just needed to be something basic and functional that wouldn't go, wouldn't need recharging or fixing, something that we could just pick up and use every now and then. For these needs, this is really the perfect phone for us, and only cost £10, so was a real bargain, I think.

      -ooo- The Product -ooo-

As I mentioned, this is really a very basic product, and you more or less get what you'd imagine for the money. It makes calls - and that's it, really. It has a choice of two ring tones, and that's really the only feature. It's made of white plastic and is very lightweight, but also quite tough and strong - there's not really anything that you could break or damage on this phone.

The handset is connected to the base unit by a cord, so you can't walk around with the phone - in this sense, it's quite an old-fashioned design, but this does mean on the other hand that you don't need to worry about making sure the handset is charged, so there's less fuss about using this phone.

      -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

For what we needed, this phone is just perfect. It was so easy to set up, and there have never been any problems with it. The sound quality is really good, and it's comfortable to hold and use. I like the fact that it's simple to use and doesn't have unnecessary features - if there could be one extra element to it, I'd like it to have a screen so that you can see the numbers that you're typing in, although this isn't a really big issue. Overall, I think if you only occasionally use a landline, and you just need something basic that looks fine and does a good job, this is ideal.

      Advantages

      • Reliability

      Disadvantages

A great buy for the price.

I used to think that having a big TV wasn't that important, and it was unnecessary and basically just a waste of money for something that didn't really make that much of difference. Although it's true that you don't really need a big TV, I can now see how much of an improvement it is, and how it makes watching your favourite programmes or films such a great experience.

      -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is a 42-inch TV, which sounds enormous, but is something that you quickly get used to. It is widescreen and full HD, which you can really appreciate on a screen of this size. It has built-in Freeview as well. First of all, I suppose it's the look of the TV that makes the first impression. It's not only big but also very slim - it's only an inch or so deep and it's amazing that so much fits in so little space. You can put it on a wall, but it's important to note that you really need speakers for this, as they are on the back and will sound muffled against a wall.

The TV has the usual connections for games consoles and USBs etc. It is designed in gloss black and looks really smooth and sleek and simple - basically, a typical modern TV, although I do like the thin transparent edge around it, which makes it stand out quite nicely.

      -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

There are so many things I like about this TV. The picture quality is great - the colours are so sharp and movement is super-smooth. On both blu-ray and normal DVD, everything looks cinema quality, and even normal programmes are made to look so much better. I heard that it wasn't so good for fast moving action, but sport also looks really good here, I think.

The menus are well designed and easy to navigate, and you don't need to spend lots of time to get the hang of the systems. I like the inclusion of an energy-saving system which lets you easily dim the TV down when you don't need it to be so bright. Everything looks really well designed, and a lot of thought has gone into the navigation of the menus.

Physically, the TV is very strong and secure, with a good wide base that keeps it steady. It feels well made, and doesn't seem like it would break easily.

If there's one negative, I would say that the sound isn't as good as the rest of the TV. It's okay, but not as impressive as the other elements, and often needs turning up quite a lot. Still, I'm happy with it - and I think this is a brilliant TV for £500. It has just about everything, and it's made watching TV so enjoyable!

      Advantages

      • Reliability

      Disadvantages

      A great product.

I used to have a much smaller screen that I really didn't like and found much harder to use - it was too small to read information on, especially in small fonts without having to really stare at the screen, and it wasn't bright enough to be able to make them out without straining. This can me a lot of headaches and I would only feel quite ill at he end of the day, as I have to spend a lot of time in my job in front of the computer. This monitor makes such a great difference and has helped me no end - it doesn't sound that big at 21 inches from corner to corner, but combined with a really crisp, sharp display and excellent levels of brightness, it makes such a difference.

      -ooo- The Product -ooo-

At nearly two hundred pounds, this is not a cheap piece of equipment, but I think it is worth the price in terms of both looks and performance. It has a large rectangular base which gives good support and has a metallic arm holding up the screen. There is a blue light that indicates power under the screen, and this is reflected in the metal, which I think is a nice design feature. The screen itself is framed with a glossy black material, which I think frames the screen really well. There are buttons on the right hand side that lets you adjust the settings such as brightness and contrast. I find the default setting for brightness too much, and turn it down to about 30%, which is still brighter than my old screen.

The screen itself is widescreen, and is really clear and sharp. Since I use it for work, I haven't tested it out with any games or things, so I don't know how it handles high frames rates and the like, but everything I have used it for it has done well with.

      -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

If you're looking for a new LCD screen, I think this is a great buy and will help enormously, and make it much easier to work. With a screen of this size, I can have several windows open at the same time, helping me to work between different documents and compare information. The quality is great, and I also think this is a really modern, good looking screen that would look great in any modern office or study. LG seem like a really good manufacturer - we also have a TV by them which is great, so I would definitely recommend this product to everyone who works a lot with computers.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Only for beginners.

I saw these in the Argos catalogue when I was looking for something cheap and portable to keep up a little light exercise - I didn't want to invest in any expensive gym equipment, I just wanted something to do now and then to keep me in shape and active, and I thought these would be a good idea for this purpose. At £19.99, there are probably cheaper options, but I thought that these would be a good introduction to this type of thing, as I didn't know much about weights and this sort of exercise. Also, I liked the fact that they came in a convenient and easy to carry case, which made transporting the products home much easier - I wasn't sure how I would get a load of heavy weights back with me, but this made it simple.

      -ooo- The Product -ooo-

There are six weights in this set - as you can see above, they are bright and colourful and made of a hard, shiny plastic-type material which feels dense and is easy to grip. There are three different weights - 0.5kg, 1kg and 1.5 kg, with a pair of each type. They all fit into the carry case, which is easy to open up and locks securely so they won't fall out. They've also got neat grooves that they fit into to stop them from moving around.

      -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

It's clear that these are basic products for use by beginners - the weights you get are very light, and are unlikely to build much muscle. However, they are good for lots repetition and toning and shaping muscles, or for people with limited strength who just want a little resistance. I think for most people, though, they are going to be too light - the 0.5kg weight didn't really feel like anything, and only the heaviest one offered any reisistance when I tried to lift it.

On the positive side, these are a nicely designed product which are well made and are not going to come apart or start to deteriorate. There are very strong and I don't think you could damage them, plus I like the way they can be sorted away in the carry case. Overall, these are not really heavy enough, but the quality is good.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      A great gadget.

Now that the Playstation and Xbox have brought out new gadgets which are designed to compete with the Wii's motion detection design, the standard is higher, and the original Wii console occasionally looks a little insensitive when compared with the Kinnect. I have noticed now, though, that the Wii console - or to be specific the remote, comes with the Motion Plus attachment already built into the product. However, if you own an older version of the machine, like I do, you won't already have this, so it's worth thinking about whether it's important enough to upgrade to.

      -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is basically just a small square attachment which fixes onto the bottom of your Wii remote. You have to snap it on, and it automatically picks up the extra gadget. What it does is to increase the sensitivity of the Wii remote, so that your movements are much more accurately recorded on screen. This is a really big improvement, even though the difference is in some cases quite small. You buy the Wii remote separately, and you can get it in white or black, the colours of the Wii remote. In terms of design it looks very similar to the rest of the console, a glossy type of plastic that is simple looking and clean in design.

      -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

I think this is a real improvement on the basic Wii remote, and you can see the difference it makes really clearly. The movements you make are really picked up on screen, and even slight little movements can be replicated - this is really noticeable when you're playing a golf game, as you can see the gentle movements of the golf club as you line up your shot. I also really like it when you're playing table tennis, as you can add a lot of spin and slice onto your shots. It's really satisfying and adds more realism to the way you play the game. It is also really important for all other sorts of games, but these are the ones where I notice it the most.

Overall, I think that if you play a lot of games on the Wii, this is an essential purchase as it makes a real difference to the way you play the games, and improves the quality of them - it can be frustrating if your movements aren't picked up on screen, and using this gadget means it happens much less. Also, it's really easy to fit onto the remote and can be protected with the larger version of the jacket, so it doesn't change the way you use the Wii except for the better.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not a bargain.

These pedometers are a great idea if they work properly, as they can keep track of the amount of walking or running you are doing and give you useful information, like distance walked, number of steps and calories burnt. They can be great if you're trying to lose weight or attempting to follow a diet that involves exercise - but they are also good for the person who just casually wants to know how far they're walking in the average day.

What's nice about this product in particular is that it's easy to attach to your clothing - you can just clip it to a belt, your pocket, or as I did to the top of my shorts, and because it's light and small you don't notice it - you just unclip it when you're finished and you can look up the information.

      -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is, like I said just before, a very small and lightweight little device with buttons to change between mode - there's a stopwatch and a selection of pieces of information like those listed above. It fixes on with a plastic strap at the back of the pedometer, which is easy to use and secure. The instructions are clear and easy to use, and I was able to get it out of the pack and using it within no time at all, really.
This is a really cheap product - only £3, but this would be great if it worked effectively.

      -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

Unfortunately, it just wasn't reliable - it looks fine and has all the options, but it only seemed to count about half my steps, and would say I'd walked a mile when I'd been walking for about an hour - this means all the information about calories and time, and distance etc. were all wrong, so this was really no use and after a few days of using it I put it away and haven't used it since.

So, it's really cheap, but it's not worth it - as it simply doesn't do the job.

        Advantages

        • Reliability

        Disadvantages

        A great value buy.

I've had this hoover for absolutely ages, which must say something about its quality, and it's still going strong - I think it's about eight years old now, so it's not the most modern and up to date of vacuum cleaners, but it really does a good job and is good looking and reliable as well.
        -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This product has a really eye catching design, and looks much more interesting than other vacuum cleaners - it is all in big, bright yellow and purple colours, which a see-through cylinder for the dust and dirt to collect in, so you can see when it's filling up. It has three different heads for the detachable arm - one with a brush, one that's wide and flat and one that's long and thin and good for getting into gaps. These heads clip onto the hoover when you're not using them, so they all stay together and don't get lost.

The hoover has a long lead that loops around the back on two hooks and is easy to wind up and store away. It's very easy to take it apart or change over heads etc. as it's really well-designed. Although it looks a little dated now, and more modern models of this product have been brought out, it's still appealing and not as boring and ugly as other brands.

        -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

Personally, I've never had any problems at all with this hoover - it's reliable, easy to use and does a great job. It feels a little like it's lost a bit of its suction power over the years, but is still effective. It's so easy to remove the dirt, as it's a bagless vacuum - you just snap open the middle and take it out and tip it in the bin, then put it back in empty. It takes seconds, and takes a lot of hassle away. I like the different heads, which make it easy to clean in hard to reach places or on different surfaces and find it's got good reach, with a long cable.

Overall, I think this is a great hoover from a reliable brand who design really good machines. It does a great job and I'm going to keep using for as long as it works.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          So-so product.

This is a type of product I get lots of use out of, so it was important to find something reliable and practical for the job without spending too much money. A liquidiser like this is ideal for making homous, soups and sauces as well as smoothies - and it's important that it does a good job of blending foods and liquids together effectively.

          -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is a value product, so immediately you understand the kind of product it's going to be and you know what to expect from it. You won't get anything complicated or fancy, and it won't be anything too special to look at, but it will do a good solid job hopefully - and this is why I bought it. The liquidiser looks very typical of the value range, as it's made out of white plastic and clear plastic, and looks very simple. It's certainly not bad looking though, and will look fine in a modern kitchen. Ideally, I'd like to buy a top range one - but on the other hand, it only needs to do simple things, so perhaps it's better to spend money on other things.

The liquidiser comes with all the usual features you would expect and need from this type of product - it can blend and pulse the contents of the jugs, has two blades at the bottom of the jug and a screw-on lid. The whole thing is very easy to use, and is quite simple to clean out when you've finished using it. There aren't really any difficult or fiddly parts to put together or clean out, so this is a very simple, easy to use product.

          -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

Unfortunately, this product isn't a great liquidiser - although it has all the parts that you'd expect, and all the features, its basic performance isn't great. When you blend something it spins and makes a lot of noise, but just pushes the contents out and doesn't touch them. You have to shake the whole blender to make it work, which is annoying. It also makes a bit of a smell when it's on, almost like burning. You need to have a very liquid mixture in the blender for it to work, which is a shame.

Overall, it's hard to recommend this product because it just doesn't do the most simple job very well - it's very cheap (only £7) but it doesn't really perform like it should. You can use it with a bit of effort, but it doesn't make things as easy as it should.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A great buy for Yoga.

In our old flat, the floor was tiled, so this was really important not just for Yoga, but for all sorts of exercise - it also made a good place to do stretches and warm ups for sports. It's important to have a good, comfortable mat for Yoga too, as you need to be able to relax and concentrate on what you are doing - it will be distracting if you are not supported and comfortable, so this for me is a really important piece of equipment.

            -ooo- The Product -ooo-

The mat is about two feet wide and six feet long, so it's a good size for the majority of people. It costs about £15 online, and comes rolled up, which is how you will store it. It's easy to unroll, though, and stays in position on the floor as it's made from quite a soft, spongy sort of material. The surface is sort of dimpled rather than being flat, and this seems to help it stick to the floor when you're on it, rather than sliding around. This also makes it comfortable to lie on.

Our mat is a deep blue colour, like the one above, but I believe there are also other colours that the mat is available in.

The mat is also quite thick, and provides plenty of support when you're applying pressure to it, and prevents you from getting sore hands or knee when you're in the positions you'll need.

            -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

I think this is really essential if you're into Yoga, and I think it's also an all-round good product for general exercise use. It's proven to be extremely hard-wearing, and isn't damaged at all since we bought it - although the material is very soft and supple, and can be squeezed easily under your touch, it's also really tough and I think it would last for ages. We've had ours for over two years now and it looks and feels just as good as when it was bought.

The price is pretty good for a product like this that you can get so much use from. It stores away easily and provides great support on a daily basis, so I think this is a must-buy for people who enjoy Yoga, as it's great for home use, and is also nicely portable and easy to carry with you if you go to classes.

            Advantages

            • Reliability

            Disadvantages

A good buy for coffee lovers.

I love coffee, but I really can't stand the prices they charge in cafes and coffee bars - considering what goes in them, it seems like an absolute rip-off to me to charge several pounds for the drinks. Because of this, this coffee machine from Nescafe called Dolce Gusto was the perfect present for me. Although the product itself is expensive - over £100 - you can get delicious coffee from it for much less than you would pay in the shops.

            -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is a really eye-catching product that has a great design, and doesn't look at all out of place in a modern well designed kitchen. It is very smooth and curved in design, and looks almost futuristic. Of course, the design is not the most important thing, but when you spend this much on a gadget, you expect it to look like it's quite top end, and this does that.

How it works, then, is that you have a variety of little capsules which you plug into the machine, which combine with the water from the hot water tank to make your drink. You have capsules for milk, then different capsules for each different type of coffee - a Machiatto, or Capuchino, or Mocha-type drink, for example. You plug it in and switch in on, and the drink blends together and pours into your mug that you place below.

            -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

The most important part of a coffee machine is of course the quality of the coffee, and this is pretty good here. It's not quite as nice as the best ones you get in cafes and shops, but it's not at all bad, and tastes better than the normal ones I make at home. It has a nice sweet flavour (which I like, but I suppose not everyone will), and has a really nice taste to it - it also comes out nice and hot, which is important for me, as I hate lukewarm coffee.

The machine itself is very easy to use, and I like the idea of the capsules. They fit in easily, and are very convenient. However, they are expensive - they cost about 20p each, which isn't that much at all compared to shop drinks, but it does get a little expensive over time. However, I think this is still quite economical if you drink a lot of coffee.

Overall, I think this is a great product - it looks good in your kitchen, produces lovely fresh coffee and works really well.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

            A vital tool.

It's really important in these days to keep your confidential information safe, so for this purposes, lots of people have bought shredders to help them dispose of documents that they don't want others to see or be able to read. This particular product is quite a large one, and although there are more heavy duty machines out there, this is a good one in that it's ideal for either using in an office if you have a number of people, or for home use if you do a lot of printing that you don't want people to access.

            -ooo- The Product -ooo-

As I said before, this is a fairly large product - it's the kind of shredder that you couldn't really put on a shelf or something similar - this needs some space on the floor, so it won't necessarily be ideal for home use if your home office is quite small. It's about a foot across and two feet high, and is black and silver in design - obviously, a shredder isn't really the kind of thing where you are too concerned about the look and design of the product, but I suppose it's a bonus that this one looks quite neat - it's nothing too exciting in looks, but it's fine and will blend into a modern office quite well.

In terms of use, it's very simple. You feed the paper into the top and it sucks it in, cutting it into little pieces. This uses blades which cut the paper into diamonds rather than long strips, so I would imagine this makes it more difficult to try to put the information back together. I imagine this would be nearly impossible, so this is a very secure device.

There is a bin at the bottom which you have to empty out when the shredder gets too full, although as this is a pretty large product, this takes quite a while and doesn't need changing too often. When you have to do it, it's a fairly easy process.

            -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

Overall, I think this is a good product - it is very solid and well built, and has no problem doing its job. It cuts the paper efficiently, produces something very secure and is quick to run. It is very noisy, so this is something to consider - if people are on the phone for example, this can make it difficult to hear. You can put in more than one sheet, but like with all shredders I think you need to be careful not to put too much in all it will jam. However, it doesn't seem to have this problem often, and generally seems very reliable.

On the whole, I think this is a good piece of office equipment that does an important job and can be relied upon.

            Advantages

            Disadvantages

Not the best product of its type.

Although I love lemons and limes, since we moved house I have been reminded of how useful it is to have a gadget which helps you when juicing them. The most well known type and the one I used before was a glass product which was sort of like a bowl with a raised point in the centre with ridges on it - you placed the lemon half on it and rotated it over the top, removing the juice and seeds. This is quite a different product, but it's also quite practical and useful, and avoids you having to get sticky lemon juice all over your hands - it also helps to remove more of the juice, so you don't end up wasting half the lemon.

            -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is very different to the kind of product I mentioned above - it's like a rounded, heavy stick - although the head of it is quite similar to the design of the other product, as it has long grooves running along the length of it. You use it by pushing it against the centre of a lemon that has been cut in half and twisting it, pushing it still, which will make the juice run out into a bowl along with the seeds.

The product is very solid and sturdy in its design, and I don't think you could break it very easily. It seems to be made from a hard wood, and is very durable and strong. It has no problems cutting through the flesh of the lemon, and you don't need to apply too much pressure, just a little will enable you to juice it.

            -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

I think this is a really good product if you have nothing, and is really useful in the kitchen. It makes getting the juice out of a lemon or lime much easier and means you don't waste as much of the fruit as if you were just squeezing it. The product is really easy to clean, too - you just give it a quick wipe and it's clean - there are no awkward parts to get into, no mesh or small holes where things get stuck. Because of this, I think it's a really good, long lasting device, and it's a gadget that's you'll be able to keep and re-use for a long time.

However, I still prefer the other product, with a bowl and a bump that you push down onto and grind the lemon. This type of product is even better, as you can apply more pressure and get more juice, you can collect the juice in a bowl (with this product (the reamer), you still get some juice on you) and also it's easy to separate the juice from the seeds - which you can't do with the reamer. Overall, I think this is a good product, and I like the design, but I don't think it's the best kitchen gadget for juicing lemons.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              An ideal present.

This is a really nice way of including something practical with something that looks really nice and makes a great design feature, allowing you to tell the time and keep track of the day whilst also decorating your wall and displaying photos that you like, perhaps of people or places that are important to you at the same time.

              -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is a really nicely designed product that is both functional and good looking at the same time. It has a nice design, but is also quite sturdy and solid - I have had no problems with it since it was bought as a present. It fixes easily to the wall, and the clock mechanism is simple and effective, and functions as you would expect it to - it's easy to put in the battery, and this hasn't run out in over a year.

The best part about this product of course, is the picture frames which surround the clock -there are twelve, and it's fairly easy to insert photos into the spaces. They are all of a similar size, and you may have to cut down the photos to fit them in here - the only problem could be if they are your originals, but it's very easy to scan photos nowadays, or print them off your computer if they are from a digital camera in the first place.

              -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

I think this makes a lovely present, as it's not just a novelty - it's really practical, but it's also a nice way of keeping family photos, or friends, or favourite places - I think we often have loads of photos, but they're all on the computer or in albums and put away, so this is a nice way of having them on display.

The quality of the product is good, and it seems very well built. The photo frames are a good size, and overall it's of a nice size generally - it's big enough to stand out on your wall, and you can see the photos clearly, and people often ask you about it, or comment on the idea - but it's not too big so that it dominates. You don't need a lot of space, just an averagely sized area of empty wall space is plenty. I think this would be a good product either as a present or just bought for yourself.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              A good party game.

This is one of those games, I think where you only really appreciate it and enjoy its potential if you get a chance to play it with friends or in a group - although it's still fun on your own, there is much more enjoyment when it's competitive and you can do it with another person. This is essentially a dancing game, which is something quite new on consoles, although there have been dance machines in arcades for a long time. However, this game is very different, as it doesn't detect the pressure of your feet , but senses where you move your hand with the Wii remote in it. This adds more flexibility than just telling which direction you're moving in.

              -ooo- The Product -ooo-

This is the second game in the Just Dance series, and is very much like the first one. There are some additions, like the sweat meter, which tells you how much exercise you're doing in the game and a load of new songs, but the basics are the same. You can choose from about forty songs, and they are ranked by their difficulty and intensity, so the amount of effort it takes. There is a good variety of music and songs from the past decades, so it's not just modern or older things.

You play it with the Wii remote, and each person playing needs one of these. When the music starts, you have to copy a figure on the screen and you gain points depending on how accurate you are.

              -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

I think this is a lot of fun, and is an energetic game that's great fun to play in groups or with friends. The music is good, the design of the game is bright and colourful and there is a lot of variety, so you will keep playing it.

However, I think the Wii remote is not that responsive - compared to the Kinnect, which has a similar dancing game, it doesn't really detect what your whole body is doing, and sometimes it seems to have problems detecting what you are doing. Also, the sweat meter doesn't really work, and comes up with some unrealistic recordings of the amount of calories burnt etc. Overall, this is a fun game, but there are some problems with it - it's quite cheap now, so it's worth buying to play with friends.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              A good present perhaps.

Everyone's familiar with Henry, the famous and iconic red vacuum cleaner with its happy face and hat, and a hoover for a nose. This is the same character, but much, much smaller - although he does the same job, you wouldn't want to use him to clean the floor of a room. He is designed to be used to clean your desk at work, but could also be used for cleaning work surfaces or tables at home.

              -ooo- The Product -ooo-

As I said, this is a much smaller version of the traditional Henry the Hoover - unlike its more famous bigger brother, this is only a couple of inches high and sits quite easily on your desk, with little wheels to help move him around. He is made of of plastic, with a rubbery material to make the hose/nose, and is brightly coloured and painted, just like Big Henry.

You switch him on and he starts up immediately, hovering up crumbs and bits and pieces from the surface you place him on. He lasts quite a long time on his batteries, and doesn't seem to use too much power.

              -ooo- Would I Recommend? -ooo-

This is a fun, good-looking product that is a real novelty and is sure to make people laugh, and is fun to play with but also serves a practical purpose.

However, I think on balance it's probably more of a fun novelty than anything really useful - this is for several reasons. Firstly, the hoover doesn't really work that well - it only picks up the smallest crumbs, and isn't especially useful for cleaning a desk. It's not powerful enough to clean out your keyboard, for example, as it can't pull things out of the gaps between keys.

Overall, I think this would be a fun stocking filler or a little present perhaps for a secret Santa or something, especially as it's under £10, but I wouldn't buy something like this for any practical reason.
